Haven 't played any games in the last week....waiting for STAR WARS Outlaws to come out. And I'm trying (failing) desperately to not watch any more videos about it because I want to go in and have my mind blown (in a postive way)

I reinstalled all three Dragon Age games I look forward to replaying them. I will start with Dragon Age: Origins and play as a male Cousland, so I can marry Anora and have Leilana as a mistress. I know that sounds sexist and makes me sound like a dog. But I have never done this in the game and want to see how she acts in the third game. Nice I'v estarted m ypre Veilguard runI'm still earl y in the game as I'm still in Ostaga ras I didn' tge tmuch don esa I have been running aroun din circles a lo ttryin gto remember whereeverything is given it's been a coupl eof years sinc eI last played the firs t2 games. Glad to see that the Requirements are very reasonable though ( 9900K, RTX 2070, 16 GB RAM) and not the 14th Gen CPU with a 4080 like we've seen from some recent games.

I'll still lkely get it as that's the only other ggame in thi ssecon dhal fof the year that has got m yattention. I'm jus tno trushing it because the other 2 games fo rme FC25 an d Veilguard fo rme have more reasonable pric etags for what they'er offering compaerd wit h Outlaws

The price of Outlaws is a hard pill to swallow for sure. i've never spent that much on a game- even three games combined. I bought Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider and the Definitive Edtion of Shadows of the Tomb Raider (all together) for 124 and change including taxes. Previous to this the most I'd ever spent on any game was when I bought the CE of ME 3, but I'd also bought the CE Strategy Guide, plus The ART of The MASS EFFECT Universe at the same time so all that combined came to I think somewhere in the neighborhood of 250.00.
I did the same for DAI in 2014; I bought The WORLD of Thedas v 1 and 2, The ARt of Dragon Age Inquisition and the CE Strategy Guide for DAI.
But never before have I spent so much on just a game. And when they release, I am planning on buying The Art of Star Wars Outlaws (which releases on June 3rd 2025 and the Stategy Guide which comes out, I think in November of this year).
After all this though....I'm done with my game purchases for the foreseeable future. My next big expense will be a new build in October of 2025 when Windows 10 reaches EOL.

I 've never spared Loghain as much as I like his speech before Alistair or the Warden challenges him. I did know that if we spare Loghain he pops up in Inquisition. But still he had mommy and daddy Cousland killed so chances of him showing up in Inquisition are slim.

Yeah I've only had Loghain in inquisition once I think and that was mainl y jus tto se ewhat it would be like usuall yin most playthrough's he dies at either mine o rAlistair's hand at the Landsmeet it's usually Stroud who goes in the Fade a sthe Warden as Alistai rtakes up his rol ea sKing afte rthe blight in mos to fm yplaythrough's eithe r married t oAnora o rm ycharacter if I' m playing a female Cousland. Give nthat I'm a mage he's likel ygoing t orul ewith Anora or on his own but that likely willdepend on how the landsmeet plays out when I get there and if I remember which options to pic kand prepaer for. Because I don' t know quite yet how I wan tm ywarden to handl ethat. Bu then I have a long way to go befoe rI'm there as I' m in Lothering atm picking up supplies an dhopefully recruitin gm yfavourite redheaded rogue Leliana and Sten as ewll. As I am plannin gmy warden t odevelop a soft spot for Leliana an dplay her romance out. As she's my LI this time. I think it'll be Isbella wit hHawke and Cullen wit hthe Inquisitor on thi srun an dprobably Davrin with my Rook

The only possibility I would spare Loghain is because he is voiced by the same actor who played Kain from the Legacy of Kain series. He also played Dr. Gavin Archer and Admiral Gerrell in the Mass Effect Trilogy.

So started a new DAO PT but am haing a problem which I have never experienced before.
The toolbar at the bottom is not accessible in that i cannot add healing kits or skills to it.
Anybody experience this before and know a fix? The only one I have seen online is to start a new game and I don't want to do that.
The only thing I have done is change the resolution from 1920x1080p to 2560x1440 could that be the issue?
EDIT: Nevermind fixed it, handle was hidden against the right side and I just needed to pull it across.

Fallout 4
So of course the building for the Relay to get into the Institute took much longer then I was anticipating but in a way I think it worked out considering that...well I have always wanted to look up things on this game to continue planning out this playthrough online. But have been a bit lazy. Do want to confirm a few things about the ending before comitting or moving ahead with it so there is now time to do that before moving on.
Spent a lot of time near the medford hospital. One of the gear pieces were up there. First off hunting for the supplies I needed for the rest of the relay transmitter. Lots of super mutants were in there waiting for me. Up on the second and third floor even so they had a lot of personell up and around. Gave me a good excuse to actually break out my new and improved scoped Gauss rifle to be able to shoot them even then. Kind of a nice weapon. But at the other end of the spectrum it seeme da bit weird that several of the shots seemed to get...blocked? Or something anyways. Ended up getting a lot of shots wasted, but when they hit, they hit pretty good. Next time up was up near Medford station where got involved in basically a fire fight between a synth army and some Raiders. Clearing the way for a synth who was trying to escape via the railroad route.
Even after all this I discovered that I was now some Aluminium short. I resolved to deal with the problem by doing random side quests, decided to get more settlements this time instead of getting more of Cleansing the Commonwealth missions. Only got through two of them and then I realized...I could just go in and buy the stuff. Which I then went to go do in the market for Diamond City.
Which then did lead me to the Institute in the end. Which its kind of funny but...I never really get into the lore so maybe there is actually an answer to this. But the Insitutitue's plans are always...interesting to consider. Well two notes worth considering. First off that the whole thing with Shaun/ the timeline and Kelogg does not make sense still, not fully. Unless we get more info later it is explained that Kelogg's life was extended through its technology and the stuff which kept him going and relatively youthful. Yet Shaun who started off being much younger then Kellog...didn't take the same procegure because he looks way older then Kellog. So what gives. Second, their plan...not sure it makes sense. Like I hypothesis that they are trying to recreate the old world as synths, they even got Synth gorillas going. THat can even explain why they would want to sabotage Commonwealth efforts to form a lasting government because they want to be the only game in town directing this futre. But then why care about synths escaping so badly? And also as I found out tonight which also adds a further mystery here, they actually train these synths through actual training and Coursers are CHOSEN if they show good behaviors. This is not the view of an organization that is trying to create machines, but they view them as people. Its kind of fascinating, though of course have to keep IDIC in mind a bit.

Yay, another day and another Park Tour. Today we enjoy the magnificent place we made and give a wonderful tour. I have seriously enjoyed this game and I aim to create more parks in the meantime:

I'm glad you figured it out. I just finished the Cousland origin and just arrived in Ostagar with Duncan and met the king. You know I've replayed this game many times since it's release and I don't know how I never got the hint that Arl Howe was up to no good. Just completed everything upon arriving at Ostagar and ready to head into the Wilds. One of the best part of the game is killing Howe. Yea hunlessyo upla ythe Cousland Origin you won' undrestand the monster that Howe is. It's the sam e in the mage origin and Jowan you'll no tundrestand how dangerous blood magic is and why it's forbidden. But then having said that w edo seeblood magic a twork at the tower later.

Woops, we might have ran into Mesmer the Impaler while exploring the back side of this massive library in the Shadow Keep but, his intro is amazing:

Black Myth Wukong Anyone playing this need not read about the mythology but knowing the story of Journey to the West actually helps in understanding the world, the characters and the magic / abilities. The story picks up after Wukong has completed the Journey with his master and the other disciples. Finding the rules and etiquette of the Heavenly Court too restrictive, Wukong chose to return to his home, Mount Huaguo, to enjoy peace a leisure life. However, despite having fulfilled his mission and his personal development through the Journey, the Heavenly Court do not fully trust him. Hence, they want him to return where they can keep an eye on him. The summons were rejected so the Heavenly soldiers inflicted casualties among the denizens of Mount Huaguo. Angered, Wukong confronted the Heavenly Generals and Army. images The tutorial isn't difficult. The battle is against Erlang, or Erlang Shen who has three eyes. Game play is smooth. Starting spells is three; #1 Freeze. #3 Summon a host of monkeys. I didn't manage to find out what's #2 spell because I was busy winding up the strikes but having a host of monkeys as distraction helps. No doubt the fights onwards is going to be difficult. Graphics is good. VAs are good. I understand Mandarin so I'm hearing the original cast actors. I can't decide whether the way Wukong speaks in the first confrontation fit his nature. I was expecting him to prance in his usual manner but upon further reflection, it wouldn't fit either because from the looks of the situation, he's beyond the mischievous mindset. What has happened to him and the people he looks after can be discerned in his words. His fury and his rejection of the Heavenly Court and their actions is righteous. What's most curious is that the headband he wears is supposed to have been removed after he completed the Journey but it looks like it's not. Has he been played? It can't be Buddha so it has to be someone who manages to put that on him again. Who is the one who recited the scripture and rendered him helpless that Erlang takes the opportunity to land the final blow? Would be interesting to find the answers.

Black Myth Wukong
Path is linear with branching exploratory side paths. There's no map I think. I didn't actively look for a map because I don't think there's one.
The altars Wukong come across are fast travel points so players have to remember the names of the places they have already traversed.
Buying, selling, crafting weapons and armour can be done at the altars. This remove the need to look for specific places to run to, to do all those stuff. This also meant that there's probably no villages or towns Wukong would come across. It's likely caves, caverns, temples and ruins.
I've already run into some familiar characters from the mythology.
I've already picked up the climb the pole ability. It's also a range attack as well as Wukong can then whip the full length of the pole on the approaching mobs.
Edit. There're spirits that Wukong can collect. Fortunately, if players miss any, they can be picked up at any of the altars. No need to backtrack.
I also took a look at the game play footage of other players. I've to say the English dubs did a fair job but it still sounds terrible to my ears. The nuances are lost in translation.
Oh this game also broke the Steam record of number of active players; 1.4 million. It shattered the one; 870k (I think) set by Elden Ring two years ago.

Power Wash SimulatorSo its been awhile for various reasons and did want to see if I couldn't keep on keeping on with the game. At least for a bit. Continued on with the Bungalow I stopped off on and well this took me...awhile. Had trouble with the posts mainly and seeing the dirt. Percision is not my strong suit. And given that the next little area was going to be play ground put it off for the time being. Fallout 4Continuing on with integration into the Institute and its kind of funny to consider after all this time going around and freeing Synths and stuff the objective is to go in and capture a Synth, that the Railroad actually likely had already reprogrammed in the first place, and drag him back to the Institute. Course this might be the only big of nuance we get from the Insitutute relations given the Railroad obviously did not care what happened to him as long as they set him free or what not. Course I also did realize that the Railroad is getting people out of the Commonwealth to so maybe they didn't get to anything... But still I get there to meet my Synth handler and the Brotherhood of Steel also decides to show up in the AO and they decided to get into a fight with my Courser so I resolved to...well I wasn't going to fire on the Brotherhood yet. SO I went ahead and decided to attack start clearing out the Raiders first. Periodically going back to see if the Synth had resolved the situation. He hadn't. Eventually they got so far away I was able to sleep which by the time I woke up the Brotherhood was gone...one way or another. So I was able to chat in and get the actual update I needed...which I used the recal code and the recall code worked. During all this somehow I think I triggered Cait's quest for the first time...well I think first time I actually have done any of the companion quests. Maybe I've done Danse's. Down to Vault 95 to clear out the gunners from the facility. And it worked...Cait's back story is rather so tragic and kind of which I tried the flirt option earlier because apparently loosing it lost out on any romance? So there was that. And with the typical screams of pain from this sort of project...was also worried this was a trap by Vault-Tech. But no, it worked. And honestly musing on another recent post I made Vault-Tech is kind of interesting in that way to both with the Vault 81 and 95 projects what they were doing was obviously highly unethical...but they were actually trying to do good with it? Maybe impossible, but they seemed to have somewhat good objectives and genuine objectives in the end. Given tryign to cure all disease and trying to cure drug addiction. Of course some of the other Vault's just seemed to be random horrible social experiments. From there though wrapped up by trying to go after Virgil's cure. Took me a hot minute to go after but tracked it down to the bowels of the Instittue. Dealing with security there I ran into an advanced lock pick...with no companions. No key that I know of. No terminal that I know of. So i guess I have to level up and waste a point in lock picking.

Hey ho, we make our triumphant return to the main questline of Elden Ring and in this video, we smoke out the Fire Giant (I leveled significantly from the Shadow Lands and as such, there is a bit of a progression that you will see later):
