So more AC Odyssey yesterday, had fun on Abantis Islands did the conquest battle and fought for Athens this time. Took down an enormous fort to free a wine merchant almost completely by stealth till I walked around a corner and ran into an untagged guard. Then all hell broke loose until I took care of 5 guards that came running. Then had fun taking down a mercenary who came to join the party and who was 3 levels higher than me. Got myself into a high position and unleashed an arrow storm on the poor guy, fire arrows, poison arrows and exploding arrows keeping the guy pinned down till he was half health. Then took the guy out with "Heroic Strike" in one hit. Good times!!!! The scenery in the game is amazing, this pic doesn't do it justice but for some reason Fraps decided not to take the myriad of shots I thought I was taking yesterday.

dazk, why didn't you use the photomode? Fraps is outdated. Yep, having the high ground always bug those mercenaries.

dazk , why didn't you use the photomode? Fraps is outdated. Yep, having the high ground always bug those mercenaries. Yeah I learnt the high ground thing in Origins I do both, Fraps works in cutscenes whereas Photo Mode doesn't and also Fraps is easier to do on the fly. Plus I forgot I could upload the photo mode pics to Imgur

Yeah I learnt the high ground thing in Origins I do both, Fraps works in cutscenes whereas Photo Mode doesn't and also Fraps is easier to do on the fly. Plus I forgot I could upload the photo mode pics to Imgur I used to use Fraps in the early years, then I switched to Bandicam but after the recent overhaul to a "true" win 10, the program flatly refuses to work in AC Odyssey. It used to work fine with the former OS which was actually win 7 upgraded to win 10. But now, true blue win 10 seem to FU some software which is very irritating and incomprehensible to pin down. For AC Odyssey I suspect it has to do with Uplay when it comes to starting up the game. Other games in Steam start up quick but never AC. The AV doesn't like UPlay so if I try to start the game after everything is booted up, it just hangs in loading like a f****** ninny. But if I immediately launch AC during the boot up process, it starts up immediately. I never like UPlay and I still don't. It causes no end of trouble by refusing to recognise the link to Steam. Stupid Ubisoft. I know photomode will not work in cutscenes which is why I use Win printscreen. How to use? Just press the key with the Win logo and printscreen key together. A file will be made in Pictures in the main drive, under the file name Screenshots. Yes, the image is saved permanently. I did this and then use Corel Paintshop to do some adjustments to sharpness. You can, as you say, upload to imgur and do the adjustment there.

I finished Tides of Numenera. I spent about 20 minutes thinking what ending I should choose and which one was more suitable for my character's behaviors. It's been a while since I have been so indecisive about an option to pick, and then I opted for the status quo option, which was well received by both my companions and the First Castoff, who I sided with, therefore I suppose I did the *right* choice... or maybe I did not but I was quiet satisfied by the outcome, therefore I'll stand by my decision. Anyway, I am going to rate it 5 stars. Such a pity that it didn't sell well, but hey, I believe that this is Torment's tradition as well, isn't it?

Played some more of this game and had a lot of fun with doing some main quests and some side quests. But i'm afraid that this will be my last day of playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey and that i have to finish it a bit later. Because i was really looking forward to this game.

AC Odyssey Not sure which chapter it is now but took part in the Olympics. Its fortunate the fights aren't too many. Found a cultist and went after him after the Olympics. Killed him and two Athenian soldiers who came upon the fight. Then I got a bounty of three which meant three mercenaries would be coming for me. Even after killing eight, the bounty is still there when I turned off the game. Expecting more heads to roll when I go back in. They didn't fare too good. Then a couple more turned up, due to I suspect, the idiot civilians yelling s**** on seeing the bodies so the bounties stayed there as I moved along. Bring them on! Ha had a similar situation yesterday, had a bounty of 3 and ended up killing 5 I think but for some reason the bounty slowly started going down until after about 20 minutes it was gone completely???? Also had a weird glitch yesterday sailing. Attacked three ships and having defeated two, I hit "S" to stop and turn around but the ship just went full speed in reverse and I couldn't stop it. Kept hitting "W" and after about 10 seconds the ship finally started forward again. Also had my 2nd "Alpha Animal" glitch and again it was a Wolf in a cave. I think the game didn't like me killing it and its friend in one attack and so didn't acknowledge I'd killed it. Went back later and went easy on the poor wolf this time. Got to spend way too much time playing the last two days and its still not enough, so much to do and so much fun to be had doing it. Have mostly abandoned stealth except at the start of a mission because I am enjoying the combat so much and also it saves time. Also have to keep reminding myself to take the time to enjoy the magnificent environments. Definitely the best game I have played for a long while, just don't piss off the Chickens and Roosters. That happened to me too i also got attacked by some really angry roosters/chickens and they do quite a lot of damage. When i was growing i also got attacked from behind by an angry rooster but he did not do that much damage. It was just a frightening moment because i had no idea that he would do such a thing.

Officially a Pledgeshield now. Next up is to deliver a lost monk's diary back to his old mission. Still fighting with the limited inventory because now that I have enough gold, I can't find the merchant with the backpack for sale.

So owing to an interesting set of circumstances I was able to play a game of Madden last night. And boy I don't say this often I mean there are just a handful of great games I can truly remember. But this game was one of the best games of Madden I have probably yet played. 38-36 was the final, Patriots against Jags, AFC Divisional game. Brady went wild going like 45-59 with an interception, three touchdowns, and 616 passing yards. Edelman had eleven catches for 130 and a TD, Cooks had six for 156 and a TD, Gronk had eight for 90 and a TD. Lewis added a rushing TD but in his return he did little else. But the Jags were relentless, I just couldn't put them away, my rushing game started out strong and then fell off so I had to pass, a lot. I didn't have to make a come back I don't think I was ever behind in the game but I just had to keep pushing because they were back there, just keep up with the hurry up offense. Brady threw a pick and they came back,Gordon fumbled the ball and they came back. And the game turned on the biggest gamble ever. Fourth and Four, none of my backs were doing as good in the passing game so I didn't feel confident, I was on my own 39 but given how good the Jags were doing I just couldn't risk giving them the ball even via a pump, I had to try something, yes if I turned it over it was likely game over but instead Cooks with just an inch of seperation, I thought they'd bat the ball away, he caught it, beat the defenders and went all the way for a 61 yard score.
...
And then there was Fallout. *sigh*. So continuing my adventures for the 'Lost Patrol.' And that quest is a bit of a bitch and honestly i am surprised I survived what I did. I just kind of went beserk in the last area with all the Super Mutants just bull rushed, multiple times I got down to like a sliver of health without realizing it only to shot gun them...oh the stupid VATS wouldn't let me hit any of the Mut hounds even though it said it had a 95 % chance of hitting and they were like breathing down my neck. Anyways after this massive fire fight I returned to Cambridge and it wouldn't let me turn it in, Danse demanded we go to the Perdwyn. I went to the Perdwyn and listened to the speeches and stuff. Danse wouldn't accept it and instead joined my party. I dismissed him...Danse wouldn't accept it...I sent him to the Boston Airport...Danse wouldn't accept it. All that work seems to be lost...I am notas mad as I am when Skyrim pulled this crap but its still a huge black eye on bethesda that this seems to keep happening in their games.

Today companion Lohse got the boot and I gave The Red Prince a chance. Of course I forgot to loot Lohse's armor and once dismissed you cannot call them back until they've arrived at their pick-up location even if you run after them. Which btw wasn't the same as the one where we found her for whatever reason. So Lohse was missing in action for a couple of hours and I was forced to spend a fortune on brand new gear for the lizard man. But boy, it paid off. He's BADASS now. Even without buying additional skills. His "frisbee shield" skill does crazy damage. FINALLY we've got a tank that doesn't suck. It only took 20 hours. *g* Also I found a good BOW to replace my crossbow and learned a crucial skill that finally allows me to gain higher ground. ABOUT DAMN TIME! Now I don't totally suck anymore. But... I really should have looked up build guides because literally every other class has cooler skills. Today I learned that there's a ranger build with A CUTE SUMMONED FIRE DEMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh. My. God. Why didn't anybody tell me this?????? Look at this fella, guys! (Yes, my dwarf is wearing sandals, shut up! Don't have any cooler ones with good stats....)
That little fire demon is twitchy like a child on a sugar high. I love him!!! Anyway, here's a picture of the newly put together full gang, notice the immaculate timing capturing the ghost of Sir Lora, the squirrel, jumping! Undead dwarven dagger rogue, human companion Ifan in the back who got respecced by my co-op partner into... something, lizard warrior companion The Red Price and my dwarven wayfarer who's now part time demon summoner thanks to an armor perk.
And because you can't see it properly in the above picture, we didn't have enough money left to buy poor Ifan a pair of pants...
We're still on the island wrapping up remaining quests. Got separated in a labyrinth, which was kind of hilarious: Dagger rogue and Ifan used a ring to gain access directly to a tower with a unique armor set piece. They got teleported there by the gate keeper. Me and the lizard somehow stayed behind. Even after I received the ring to repeat the chain of events, it wouldn't trigger anymore. For me the gate opened into a labyrinth.
It wouldn't have been a problem if getting the armor piece didn't involve needing a strong character. And guess which one that is? Yes, the lizard stuck in the labyrinth with me! So they can't get the armor, I can't get to them to lend them a hand. Now they have to come back here and we have to get to the tower together the hard way through the labyrinth with a million traps...
So yeah, co-op can be a bit weird/buggy.
Game's a lot of fun though and sooo pretty!
(Whelp, just saw that shrinking pictures when posting a comment screws them up in mobile view later. I've fixed it!)

They always make noises. I always look whenever I hear growls, etc. The sound the elk makes always make me think there's a big dangerous animal nearby. A funny thing happened. I started taking out a Athenian soldier standing with his back to the rail. One of his pals was standing a reasonable distance away, facing him. I thought I'll try to assassinate him to see the result. His pal saw me and said; hey, you're not supposed to be here! at the same time I was pulling his friend over the railing. I waited for him to go on attack mode but he remained where he was once I dropped back down.

I was being trolled by a Mercenary that was 5 levels higher than me and waiting for them to move on so I was stealthed hiding in a bush. There were two soldiers fighting a bear just up the road which the mercenary was watching (so was I) and I just didn't realise that there was another bear behind me. I have had the assassinate and be spotted thing happen a few times and its like the guards have their memory wiped and then just go about their normal routine. This was just before the bear attacked me, the soldier highlighted on the right was fighting a bear while the two merc's watched on.

AC Odyssey It seems I cannot take too long in doing conquest battles. I wanted to open the rest of the zone after clearing a fort and killing the leader. When I wanted to take part, it's already over. So I'll have to change the order; leave the leader for last and open the zone first. After that, I went to get the bounty on a mercenary. He was close to the next zone which is level 30s. I'm playing Kass again and she's only 17. The Alexios PT is dangling in the beginning at level 11. Still, I thought I'll be able to cut him off at the border. Turned out he had just crossed when I caught up to him but I didn't realise it. He was running in the midst of a group of Spartans. I fired off a shot at long distance. He halted. The entire group milled around and I realised they were fighting wolves. I stayed where I was and watched the target icon moved about. After a few minutes, it stopped and didn't move any more; he was level 16. The wolves had killed him. The group of Spartans had mostly gone off or killed after clearing the wolves so there were a couple wandering about but not enough to deal with the respawned wolves. The spot where the mercenary died is the spawn spot for the wolves so I had trouble confirming the kill. Died twice. Reloaded the third time and saw another group of Spartans coming in. I dragged the wolves to them. While they were busy with each other, I confirmed the kill, grabbed whatever loot that was left on the road and hightail it out of there.

I played more AC Odyssey, of course. Kassandra hit Level 50 in about 50 hours of gameplay. Alexios did the same in my first PT, so that seems to be the pace I keep. As I always do, I’m really enjoying the second PT more than the first. I take my time instead of driving ever forward. Yet, since I’m much more efficient, I still finish much faster. This world is pretty amazing. The attention to even tiny details that most will never notice is damn impressive. The AC games have always been good about this, but Unity, Syndicate, Origins and Odyssey are on another level. Amazing. I’ve optimized for Assassination and poison damage this PT, and it’s very effective. If you’re looking to play the standard, killin’ ‘em softly protagonist, this is my top recommendation. It can one-shot even strong foes, while still dominating in melee and from range. It’s all around awesome. Alexios was great, and Kassandra might be even better. I’d listen to this woman read a phone book. Such a pleasant voice. Kappa Neko, I already thought I might grab DOS2, and your posts have pushed it over the top for me. It looks and sounds like so much fun.

I think I'm in the KoA version of the Hinterlands ie, the first main area where I just keep finding more stuff to do. I moved along a part of the main quest but mostly I'm side-questing. Passed the initiation right of the Scholia Arcana so I'm now a newbie....er, neophyte in their order. I also finally increased my inventory - yay! I looked up where the backpack seller was (first town, ofc) and then found another one in the Fae city of Ysa. They were a little over 6K gold ea (getting trained on skills is 15K a pop) but it's still a crazy sum for 10 lousy slots.

Do yourself a favor and decide on a build before you start. There are so many awesome combinations! The skill effects all look cool. Second lowest difficulty is already easy enough even when you're not too familiar with this type of game. The Definitive Edition adds an ever easier option so that now even a solo beginner to this genre can enjoy the game's quirky writing. So I guess it's the best game to get into cRPGs. I highly recommend it to everyone here!
Apparently you can avoid most fights on the island (first act). Huh. We razed it to the ground!!! The island is infested with evil magisters. We killed them all. No regrets.
The biggest tragedy was that I thought I got the Pet Pal perk that lets you talk to animals, even get quests from them, and was confused the whole time why no pet would talk to me. Turns out I didn't get it..... but... HOW?! Seriously, I can recall me picking it. O.o Anyway, you'd think it wouldn't take 20 hours to figure that out. LOL. My co-op partner cried about all the dialogue we missed out on for the rest of the session, and hates me a bit now. I'M SO SORRY!!! My heart is broken too!
Not sure we can get another level up before we leave the island. We do need that perk though to finish the burning pigs quest (yeah, don't ask).

I finished Planescape Torment. It was really good. Probably some of the best "romances" stories I played. I'm not talking about the romances with the female companions, those are eh whatever... but some story arc with some important npcs.

That happened to me too i also got attacked by some really angry roosters/chickens and they do quite a lot of damage. When i was growing i also got attacked from behind by an angry rooster but he did not do that much damage. It was just a frightening moment because i had no idea that he would do such a thing. Yeah I have been stealthed by the chickens too, I also yesterday had a bear come up behind me without noticing and scare the daylights out of me. I love moments like that.

The dwarf wearing Birkenstocks made me laugh way too much
