So decided to stop doing side quests and start the main quest line. Got to the Thalmor Embassy in my finery, and remembered I've got that annoying stealth things to do. However, just as I arrived on the carriage, this happened: I let the Thalmor fight and die against the Dragon (I can't attack anyway). End result: + 1 dragon soul, and a handy disguise before I even enter the place: Why would you ... even if you could attack for me the only good thalmor is a dead thalmor if i play Skyrim i sometimes go there just for fun and kill them all. They don't see me anyway so no bounty and before i go in i leave my two/three followers behind and have some fun mwuhahahahaha. It would look something like this in their embassy after i am finished. And on topic i played some Red Dead Redemption II and had a lot of fun.

In battle tech, finally got a catapult battle mech! You have no idea how long I was waiting to get me one of those. Now I have my long range indirect artillery mech for support.
I did get a catapult with PPC's a while ago. But I didn't like the head dissipation of that mech. As a result, I just stuck it in storage and forgot about it.
Up to now, I've just been using a juggernaut (65 tonnes) with 2 LRM15's on it. Now I have a 75 tonne mech with LRM 15's. Wew!

So over Halloween...I got the issue fixed with Nick and Piper. Or at the very least my fiancee was right and they just stopped being mad at me after a little bit so I can continue on with this playthrough and not be overly mad at them, the developers. Yey. Also visited the Constitution's new home, though I was bemused that the bots can no longer talk apparently.
Yesterday I did a quest that I have never done before. While out exploring I ran out of inventory space so went to Boston Airport to sell my inventory to Proctor Teagan. While there I figured 'why not do 'duty or dishonor'." It took my character to a part of the Boston Ruins infested with ghouls. I actually took out Deliver and it was surprisingly effective. Got so many action points that I could take out groups of three ghols at a time on a fairly regular basis. through this entire thing I was having the growing suspicion that Iniatiate Clarke was pulling a Hershel from the Walking Dead...sure enough he was feeding them because they weree nearly human. I gave him a holotape convincing him he was wrong and I don't think I was presented with an option to agree with him, I wouldn't have but it might have been interesting. So I turned him in and that was that. Then I checked out the 'gama gun' thing that Cabot developed from the Artififact...probably going to sell it.

So played a bit more of Sims 4 and wrapped up Vincent's week. Redhead became a child and he's kinda cute, all things considered. Also nabbed a picture of the lot, because while being vague is fun, context is a bit nice as well. So from the left: Vincent, Conor (Normal son), Desiree (girlfriend who is totally not an alien) and Soren (Redheaded son). Sadly more sims are getting tossed from the family tree, for now it's just the siblings of some spouses, but it kinda kills the mood to play further if it starts trimming closer to the base. So probably going to focus on something else for a while. So ended up playing a bit of Sam and Max hit the Road. Had tried it some time before and the colors did make me feel a bit ill, but this time it was a lot nicer. And it made more sense. So fair amount of fun there. Visited the carnival and tried out the Cone of Tragedy, then ended the session outside the Love tunnel.

Puzzles... Yeah. How annoying do they get compared to the pressure plate one in Mordus' basement? That one took us a while. Mostly because we first tried to solve it without clues... And even when he did get the blueprint and even started to figure out how the different symbols appear it wasn't exactly easy. How long did it take you to finish the game? And did you try to do all quests? When we talked to the gods again and they explained what we need to do to become Devine and save the world, we both went "oh oh". So only one of us can do it. I wonder if we can fight to the death over it hahaha. At least judging from your post you won't be forced to kill your companions/co-op partner over that ambition. Am I relieved or disappointed...? Hmmmm. *g* Yeah I spent about 2 hours wandering around without making any progress in finding the painting I needed to unlock a door. (I ended up googling it) And in another puzzle, I got it right first go, but I didn't wait long enough for the cut scene to cut in, and walked away looking for another solution. (Again I ended up googling it.) I don't know in hours, I don't use a client, but 3 long days. I started a lot of quests, but a lot are mutually exclusive, and there were lots I never completed through lack of clues. Larian games all seem to rely on serendipity to find what to do next. Even on story mode, I finished the game under leveled, and it was getting a bit hard near the end. Yeah, I was expecting Sebille to turn on me (I romanced her, that might have helped)I was going to gimp her armor for the final battle, for when she turned on me, but I was too under-powered to win without her at full strength. I spent a couple of hours, trying to get the camera mod to work for a second play through, but no luck.

The FPS challenge grinds on, and this morning I completed Hexen 2, and made a start on Quake 2.
Ah... Hexen 2, what to say about it. I have such a love/hate relationship with that game. I could write an essay about the damned thing. The 'unfair' damage-sponge enemies, the insanely convoluted and obscure puzzles; one of which (the notorious floor tile puzzle in Septimus that caused to many players to ragequit in utter frustration) is actually glitched and cannot easily be completed using normal means, the brutal, unforgiving combat against some of the plain-nastiest enemies I've ever encountered in any game.... but the gorgeous level design, attention to detail and fun weaponry. Not to mention the sheer sense of achievement when you finally solve a particularly intricate series of puzzles, and see the whole area unlock around you.
So Quake 2 has been started on the Quake2XP source port, using the high res texture pack, high res model pack and dynamic lighting pack. The game looks fantastic with all the new effects, but I have to turn down some of the more system hoggy ones in order to get a smooth framerate. Framerate is king when it comes to shooters.

I bought the Castlevania bundle with all the "Shadow" games on greenman for a crazy $2,99. Good thing I didn't pay more because clearly, these are not my type of games. I started out with the first fo the series. Visuals look cool (and I didn't expect a Patrick Steward voice over ) but the controls!!! First of all, I hate fixed camera angles, don't get why I can't play this in normal TPS. Second, I didn't realize that this is basically gamepad only. I only play with mouse and keyboard and I haven't seen controls this bad since Gothic 1. I mean come on, the game is from 2010 for christs sake. Got killed by the very first mini-boss monster (which is still part of the tutorial) twice, then uninstalled. Well, no one can say I didn't try.

Diablo... mmo... MOBILE game. Fuck. Well, I still pre-registered, since me likes good mobile game, but fuck. Would prefer even the shortest expansion for D3. Also, it seems they're releasing Warcraft 3 remaster... oh, and new WoW cutscene... *sigh* Blizzard's cutscenes are the most gorgeous. Make full movie already!Anyway, I spent some time in Allods today. Nothing special happened, just got stuck between two gods while they tried to convince me who's lesser asshole. Pete (my animal companion) was totally not impressed.

I was finished my ultimate new game + run in Marvel's Spider-Man recently. And i made a photo. That breaks reality in a million different ways. Anyways in Fallout 4 I was quite surprised to find out that it seems I am running out of quests to do, at least for now. So with that in mind I hired McCready and talked to Bobbi. Bobbi led to the 'big dig' quest...lol I just realized if I don't do the quest then I will have basically stolen a hundred of her caps from her. Anyways I remember that quest being really problematic the first time so I skipped it...for now...but now i am thinking about it I will probably go back to it. Anyways my latest minor beef with the game comes in the form of Cait coming to talk to me after I got a 'Cait likes' sort of thing about how much she likes and appreciates me and how she would build things for me because 'that's what friends are for.' And while I do like Cait as a player my character really has not talked to her and there is really not any opprotunity for the player to talk to or investigate the companion unless they start it. And you only really get approval for doing things they like. Its just weird.

One thing I love about Bioware's games is speech craft being skill based. I just sweet talked my way into a specialization with Isabella. Never knew I could do that. That is good role playing design.

So weird day of play for me yesterday. I started by doing lots of fast travelling to various Blacksmiths to gather materials but in particular Obsidian Glass and Soft Leather. I seriously hate having to kill so many animals, its kind of immersion breaking to be wandering and just shooting every poor creature I come across and to be constantly zigging and zagging to harvest trees and look for Iron. I'd rather that was optional an that they'd stock the Blacksmiths with every resource and bigger quantities so I could just buy the stuff and enjoy the roaming in a scenic manner not looking for trees and rocks. Anyway I digress. In my travelling I discovered a whole section of Argolis I had missed so cleared that then nudged a little into Korinth. Found a few more places where'd I'd missed stuff and cleaned that up then back to the island I had been on but unable to finish as a Level 49 Merc. was camped next to the final "?" So cleared that and noticed a low level Merc. on the map and thought I'd take him out. He was just standing near a building and his info. said he was weak against assassinations so crept in close and dropped down to assassinate him...……….. Then I ran called Phobos and got the hell out of Dallas!!!!!! When I hit the merc. he split into 3 merc's he was Level 32 but the others were both Red Skulls one of whom was level 49. Seriously how does that shit happen???? I know we have all experienced it with a group of normal soldiers but 3 merc's in a merged state that was completely undiscernible from a mere couple of metres away in game. Anyway got on the boat and split lots of other boats in half and felt much better after that. Headed to the island next to Mykonos and stumbled straight onto a cultist which reminded me I really should progress the story but I have just been having far too much fun roaming around doing stuff and levelling up and getting gear. Killed an Alpha Bear in "Lost Animal Den" or something. I assume that's going to come back and bite me later on. So going to clear this island and Mykonos and then to Athens. I rearranged my melee bars but am still not happy, I always end up in a fight where I want something that's on the other bar and changing bars usually means taking a hit or two. Saw talk about Shadow of Nyx are people in the positive about it or not? also maybe I am using it wrong but Ring of Chaos Level 2 is a bit meh, does it significantly improve at Level 3? Couple of pic's from yesterday.

It's truly a tragedy what has befallen Biower. They could have revolutionized the industry. They were heading in that direction, & then, like so many great groups, collapsed under the weight of greed and hubris Their fall really was the foreshadowing of the industry beginning to shit the metaphorical bed...

Binge played Graveyard Keeper. Had been interested in the game because the concept was well up my alley, but put off by the mixed reviews, then a bit intrigued by ProJared's let's play but a bit put off on how he thrilled he was about keeping notes and stuff. So finally took the plunge today and had quite a few enjoyable hours. Mostly been lolly gagging around, gathering materials and tried to be clever by starting a bonfire, but it seems I must litter the river to appease the ghosts. Bleh. Still, got a lot of good stuff off that fellow. There is quite a bit of busy work going on, but the music is really chill and everything looks kinda cute, so having fun so far.

I claimed my copy (because who doesn't like free games?) then saw it takes up 80GB for install and noped out of that. Maybe when I'm done with some of the stuff I currently have installed I'll give it a try.
As for currently playing, here's a not-great pic of my pet boggart (it's the short guy in the back with the wood shield for a face):

Downloaded Destiny 2. After spending way too much time staring at 3 classes (that's like the longest step whenever I play new class-based game I know little about, I never know what to choose), I created Exo female hunter. Finished prologue and I have to say, I might sink more hours into it sooner rather than later. Shooting feels nice, first person perspective doesn't seem as bad as it can be, keybinding are really intuitive for someone who generally doesn't change them. Plus, as prologue showed me, I can literally murder-knife everyone to the face instead of shooting Considering I'm preparing myself for Mass Effect trilogy re-run, this might be nice shooting warm-up. Allods. I'm questing in regions I remember quite well, so I click thru most of the quests and auto complete the ones I can (Allods has system that allows you to auto complete certain grindy quests with special currency that you earn while doing quests). I'm warming up to Tamer class, which seems to be heavily DoT based. It's fun to run through bunch of enemies, DoT-ing all of them and watch them die as they try to follow you Also flew on what's most likely the most disturbing "bird" I've seen in a while. And last but not least - WoW. Herb farming. Time to get enough gold to get that sweet Warcraft 3 remaster. Even if it's like year away...
