I ordered Alien Isolation (for the Xbone since my other copy is for my Xbox 360 which is collecting dust) and its coming tomorrow. I tapped out due to pure and simple fear during my first and last attempt. I really want to finish that game. I'll post any scary moments

So something hillarious happened to me yesterday. The night before I was stuck in the middle of a quest (kidnapping at Sanctuary Hills or something) so I finished it up first thing and when I went to go find the quest giver she was out in the middle of nowhere. I remembered that as soon as she gave me the quest I put her on a supply line to the Boston Airport. I finally caught up to her, actually at the Airport but it did give me a good chuckle. In other news I kind of wish they had made the settlement menu top down to let us put things into different places easily instead of having to walk there, and also assign our settlers easier. Speaking of hinky mechanics it would've been nice had they handled the perk system like DA O and DA 2 letting us have at least one point for attributes and one point for the actual perks because there are so many nice perks to get but I also want to level up my attributes too. Also not sure what I should go for next I was going for Endurance so I could get at Solar Powered but now not sure if I should try focusing on Intelligence, Perception, or Strength...and then you have the Perks!
Also this does give me the horrified notion based on my conversations with Luke Barret over in the DA 4 wishlist thread that they do not copy that system for DA 4. Hell just stay away from the settlement system either.

Sigh....my pet boggart is no more, apparently getting killed during the buggy Warsworn quest on Eamonn's Island.
The person supposed to accompany me got stuck at the entrance but still managed to pipe up her lines when required. Until I got to the end. I killed off all the baddies, tried to interact with the marker at the end, and nothing happened. I ran back to pick her up and her map icon started moving away from me. So, I decided to exit the area and go back in, only to find all the enemies in the last room (plus a few more, I think) had re-spawned! Then, half way through killing them again, the cutscene/dialogue suddenly triggered. Oy vay! Got through that, finished killing the enemies (again) and then triggered the dialogue a second time by clicking on the marker. At some point, I lost my pet but I didn't want to start that quest over again since it was such a pain to get through. I tried calling another one using the urns but either I don't have the combo right or you only get one.
Elsewhere, I finally continued the Travelers quest line or, well, started it in earnest, and now it's gotten way more interesting than just "go here, steal this." Can't wait to see if I'm right about who/what the Hierophant really is.

Me yesterday in ArmA:
"Hey, look, buddy. I'm a Grenadier. That means I solve problems. Not problems like 'What is beauty?' because that would fall under the purview of conundrums of Philosophy. I solve practical problems. For instance: How am I going to stop some big mean motherhubber from tearing me and my team structurally superfluous new behinds? The Answer: Use explosives. And if that don't work... Use more explosives... Like this forty-milimeter high-explosive grenade carried by me. Used by me. And you best hope... Not pointed at you."

Strange, I never did get that pet boggart and I'm pretty far into KoA - I think.
Today I played Pillars of Eternity a bit more. I recruited Pellegina and sent Durace to the Stronghold.
After that, I did some sidequests in Defiance Bay. I still don't know how to deal with the ghost lady in the lighthouse. That fight is pretty tough and somehow I think, I have to do something else. I tried talking to the pirate lady, who obviously was the ghost ladys lover, when she was still alive, but she doesn't want to help.
I will postpone the ghost lady dilemma a bit, maybe level up some more and then try fighting her again. But fighting doesn't feel right, she doesn't seem to be evil, just kind of lost,,,

Forgot to mention a pretty scary scenario from that ArmA session however. So, we were on a gravel mound. Big thing. Suddenly we see a BMP-2 parked around 30 meters away from the mound, it starts shooting at us. This isn't the scary bit yet. The scary bit is, there is this large warehouse on our roughly 4 o'clock, which peeks out from behind the wall, which itself is roughly two meters away. Suddenly, as I take cover from the God damn BMP, I see an enemy creeping along the warehouse wall. We empty two magazines at him collectively, and as I reload I have no idea he's dead. Now the fucked up part is, knowing there's an unconfirmed kill there, I load the 40 mike mike in the underslung EGLM on my SCAR. As I load, our Sergeant rounds the wall at the precise place I intended to blow to Kingdom Come. And THAT is the scary part. I'll spoiler a rough sketch I made, for ease of understanding.

Got back to the Fallout 4 game that I started a couple of weeks ago. Doing mostly exploring, which is what I like to do in games. Now at level 50 I decided to further along the main quest and rescued Dick Tracy, took out Kellogg and located Virgil. Also took out the Coursor and will have his chip looked at. Like the Weapon and ammo mod. Uses real world weapons and weapons from the previous Fallouts. Deathclaw? You mean dinner. Going in gangster land, might as well dress the part. My mini gun is obviously bigger than yours.

Strange, I never did get that pet boggart and I'm pretty far into KoA - I think. The urns are at the spring close to Tirin's Rest. There are 3 and each one has stone in it. Re-arrange the stones in the right combo to summon the boggart. There is a 4th stone hidden in Tirin's Rest behind the merchant buildings (you have to clear out some crates to get to the cart it's in) but you don't need that one for the boggart.
There are lots of sprites in the area and a wrong combo can literally blow up in your face. Doesn't do too much damage though, from what I've seen.

Pillars of Eternity: I stopped an actress on a murder spree in a crime that looked like the medieval fantasy version of snuff videos: She had actors killed live on stage to please some well paying degenerates. CSI Defiance bay was victorious again. Now ALayne and her group helps to find a scientist who has a secret meeting in an abandoned building in one of the darker corner of the city - totally innocent, I'm sure

Allods. Almost finished storyline on Irdrich. Saying goodbye to one of the prettier skyboxes is always hard. At least no more creepy bird-taxis. I hope. One thing I like about Allods character creator is ability to choose body size and shape. There's like 3 or 4 different shapes in 3 different sizes. So you can go tall and muscular... or like me with my Priden girl. I chose the smallest model for her (both size and shape), so she really has to look up when talking to someone/something. Especially when it's tall demon Also more Destiny 2. I barely started and already heard Claudia Black and Gideon Emery. I can't escape them, can I? Anyway, finished some main missions, as well as general missions. Got some loot, reached level 5 and died in the only way you can die in shooter. By missing the leadge you wanted to reach and falling to your death. Because that's the only legit way to go in shooters, right? Right?

Killed some Old Kings.
Fought a Dragon, for a change.
I'm using Open Cities, which has had the fun side effect of the Dragon above killing the blacksmith in Windhelm as it flew over. Oops.
Got talked at by some men.
Went a-sneaking around an estate.
Set fire to some bee hives. They didn't like that. Poor Bees.
Sneaking around the Manor was a lot of fun too.

Being a sneaky witch-thief in KoA is making me rethink being a sneaky witch-thief in Skyrim. I had started the thieves quest line but never even finished the first one, I don't think. As long as there's a mod for unlimited inventory, I'm in. I was most dismayed that fast travel was disabled if I had too much stuff in my bags. Seriously, how else do you expect me to get all these dragon bones back home?

So much Graveyard Keeper. Still mostly lollygagging since I'm rubbish at managing time and resources. But it's really chill and the music is still nice. So still having fun.
Yesterday I grumbled a bit since I could have moved on with the main story a bit sooner instead of going the long road which didn't really pay off, but on the other hand on that longer road I did upgrade my arms and armor which was quite handy for the next task. So it was probably for the best. Also found out how he would fight Iron Maidens, who were a lot cuter than I was expecting, but kinda more deadly since the ones I was thinking about don't really move.
Then today it was cooking time. Misunderstood my task for making dinner and spent quite a while gathering stuff which I kinda didn't need in the end, but it wasn't too much of a hassle. Also did some fishing, which is looks a lot like the fishing in Stardew Valley, but it overdosed on coffee or something. Because man does that fish dart about. On the other hand it doesn't seem to be able to escape, so it's more of finding a rhythm than a balancing act.
Then tomorrow I guess it's time for alchemy. Because Monday and that song. Will probably be using a guide for that, since my attempts at guesswork just turned into a goopy mess. Hehe.

So...finished my Madden regular season. Brady 7100 yards, 81 touchdowns ( ). Edelman led the way again with about 90 catches and 1500 yards. Edelman, Gordon, and Ryder all had over 1000 yards on the season. And once more my team is a bit more on the walking wounded as both Deatrich Wise (defense) and James White went down for injuries for the year and Sony Michel will miss most of the playoffs for me. So that is it, in the AFC Divisional round I will face the Cincinatti bengals who are 7-9...which should be interesting. In Fallout 4 land I am right now stuck, again with Butcher's Bill. But hey I did kill that Death Claw. On the way there though I finally started to do some of the settlement stuff for the first time in the game and I was actually getting a little excited by some of it. Needless to say it is still a little confusing, hinky, and don't want it anywhere near DA 4...but it was kind of fun setting up stuff. Pretty unartistically. Right now my biggest concerns seems to be food supplies, people, and oil for defenses. Other than that though I do have four settlements sort of built up...well I worked on four of them anyways and I think I put recruitment becons at three of them.

Yeah, not really. For instance, I was able to run my way through a castle full of guards and swipe a signet ring from the ruler's bedroom, then run back out again. No one even asked me who I was or what I doing there. I figured I'd at least have to lie my way in (or out).

My Nexus Mod Manager broke and won't start anymore due to some pathing bug after trying to switch it from FO3 back to FO4..... Apparently the only solution is to reinstall it, which is a BAD idea at this point.
What's worse, ALL my mods got deactivated!!! So I panicked. Like, big time. I was going to finally record my last most awesome settlement when this happened. We're talking about 50 hours of work I wanted to share with the world. I almost cried. Then I googled how to activate them again manually without a mod manager. Turns out there is a fairly simple way. Open the hidden appdata folder and copy all your plugin names into a .txt file... Soooo I spent about an hour going through my loong list and pasting about 150 plugin names into that file. But it worked! It. Worked. My settlements are back. Everything looks like before. But of course the game will do the CC update next time I go online because I used the launcher to look for the non-existent Data option... I THINK I can manually update the 3 mods affected. But I'm not sure. In any case, this is a major bummer and may mean the end of my FO4 modding and settlement building. At least I managed to record my Institute Research Base (cutting the internet connection to my PC to avoid a premature Steam update). I even added the missing solar panels which due to a mod require the Solar Powered perk I didn't have yet. Thankfully I wasn't too far away from a level-up. So I spent 10 minutes crafting 100 bear traps...
I edited the clips together yesterday. Tonight I'll need to start the game one last time for a YT thumbnail screenshot I forgot and then I'll let the game update and see what happens. Because I need to be online again for more DOS2 in co-op!
It's probably for the best. The universe is just trying to help me overcome my ugly addiction. FO4 and I had an intense and most destructive love affair. But I gotta move on. Maybe...
