So more adventures in The Division 2 yesterday, took another control point, rescued a hostage, did a side mission to get some batteries and rescue a hostage, roamed around gathering resources for control points and helping civilian patrols with enemy attacks. Decided to finish up by doing a side mission at the MLK Library, hadn't had too much trouble with the other side missions but this one proved a bit of a challenge from the get go. Anyway fought my way to the rooftop for a boss fight and decided to call for back-up, was excited as another agent showed to help then just kicked themselves from the group so had to do it solo. Anyway long story short I died twice, I found the layout for my play style quite challenging and there were a couple of enemies with rocket grenade and then the big boss had some sort of flame grenade thing happening. My turret did its best to protect one flank but I kept getting blind sided on the other and my drone which shoots stuff and highlights enemies wasn't pulling its weight by not doing anything or disappearing. Later found out this is a bug that Ubi is working on. Anyway third time I found a better position and moved more and the drone hung around and kept the snipers who do massive damage off me and managed to complete the mission. Keep meaning to take pic's in combat but been too busy trying not to die!!!!!! Anyway some scenery Happened on this civilian just leaning against a tree playing the harmonica!!!!

Ohhhh.....I have a knife but never got any sort of interact with the coral yet. So, I guess I have to *equip* the knife for that. Sigh. I was thinking I'd need the laser cutter for them, and for that I only have 1/3 of the schematics discovered. Laser cutter is only used on burnt sealed doors. When you see burnt dmg on a door, it can be cut open. Yeah, it can be annoying getting the blueprint fragments for it because they're scattered. Their locations are random with each PT. Keep looking for wrecks and look into all the boxes. Knife is often used to gather; table coral, get seeds from plants. Recource outcrops like sandstone, limestone do not require any equipment. Btw, if you get the message the Aurora is about to blow, don't worry. But if you received the message that that the drives will go to atomic fallout, you cannot ignore it. Ignoring it means that sector will be heavily irradiated, the game fails. You have to go to the Aurora to seal the breaches in the drive core. before you do so, explore the area where the Aurora landed to get the blueprint for the propelsion cannon. Make it and equip it before go to the Aurora. If you have the laser cutter, you can explore the sealed off section. If you don't have it, you can come back later. The most important equipment is the propelsion cannon. There're two ways to get into the ship, the upper level and lower level. Approach the ship directly from the lifepod with the seaglider or seamoth. You can get onto the ship via two broken deck edges, they're in the same area. The entry to the lower part of the ship is blocked by crates. That's not the one to go to if you don't have the laser cutter. Go to the upper level which is populated by hostile fauna. You can throw them into the sea using the propelsion cannon. Follow the path until you get into the ship. Explore and get some stuff for the seamoth., etc. You can reach the engine room easily and repair the drives. Once they're repaired, you're safe to explore, build, etc until you get a message later. P.S. Oh yes, I forgot to add that sulfur can only be collected in the nests of Crashfish. These are the fishes that shrill like wonky torpedoes when you go exploring in caves and explode. Look in their nests, like an opened flower, on the cave walls for sulfur. You can use the propelsion cannon or stasis rifle on them, they'll still explode though so stay out of their range.

Knife is often used to gather; table coral, get seeds from plants. See, I got a message when approaching the creepvine to use the knife on it, but nothing whenever coming into range of the corals. Uh oh....I think I got the atomic blowup message about the ship. I think I have what I need to make the cannon though.

Pulled the trigger on New Dawn. After seeing it on a 50% discount in the Uplay Store, I just couldn't resist. 17,99 for this quasi DLC is a fair price. Turns out my new super fast internet connection isn't so fast after all. Or maybe Uplay was slow but it immediately dropped from over 5MB to between 1.4-2.6..... So it took roughly 3 hours to fully download instead of 90min as it should be. Might be the wifi booster though, it doesn't seem to like the new router all that much (wifi has to transmit through a ceiling). I did manage to squeeze in 2 hours last night in co-op at least. Everything is very familiar. Boyfriend managed to create the most pervy looking 40-ish mustache character ever while my girl looks about 15. GREAT couple! Good thing it's the apocalypse or there would be a child molestation arrest within five minutes. The HD texture pack doesn't really look different from the ones used in Farcry 5. The visuals are a bit bleeched out (again). RDR2 looks A LOT better but the overall colorful art style I can dig.
The first thing we did when we were finally able to join after the intro was to hit each other in the face repeatedly, lol. Not sure what that says about our relationship... Grabbed the flamethrower first chance I got and promply set everything and ourselves on fire. Ran Mr Pervy Mustache over with the quad bike. Ah yes, it's good to be abck in Hope County!
I managed to drown myself during our very first mission. Grrreat. Then a VERY aggressive bear nearly killed us both. I went down first, got revived, then he went down, I finished the bear off JUST before dying too again, then I revived him. JEEZ. Why are bears always the worst?!
The biggest letdown so far: Photo mode not available in co-op.................................... seriously, Ubisoft?!? WTF. No...

Today I uninstalled Anthem as I wan't enjoying the game. It got to the point where I couldn't even be bothered finishing the main quest. That's the third Bioware game in a row that I haven't finished. I've never finished DA:I or ME:A...
Think I'll go re install KotOR at least that I enjoy playing.

"Well shit, I always thought I was a good liar." "Good thing you're pretty".
I do like how unambiguous this game was about their relationship, compared to the first one. Even if Rachel Amber is a cheating ho-bag who, although she may have liked Chloe to start with, ending up using her and treating her like crap.
That's why it's Pricefield, baby.

In GRW:
Man I think Tabacal is just cursed for me. I just had a devil of a time trying to do much of anything. Actually completed a lot of missions....including killing Madre Cocoa so at least I am done with it...but it was just a series of unfortunate events. Lets see: Got run over by a train...then my entire team got run over by the same train (thank God I wasn't playing on Ghost Mode), got run over by a car and probably got knocked out, and crashed into at least one more mountain with a helicopter. But at least I did get that supply chopper I was having issues with out of there, lets just call it on a 'smash and grab'.
So first mission of note was having to blow up some cocaine stocks. First time...well got run over by a train when starting my assault so next time I hit the area from the exact opposite end where the drone jammer was...which I turned off and then made my assault supporting my team as they went in.
Second mission of note I had to go kill three 'cocoaleros' (probably way off in the spelling) which was actually fun. I got in my helicopter and put it on a mountain range way above them with good sight lines. I was actually able to snipe the first two successfully, the third one my shot just landed at my feet. After disabling his first car I had to get back in the helicopter and take off after the guy, took me on quite a chase through the next province over which...I was run over by the car, but yeah, I did get him eventually.

Have you tried playing MEA again after your first attempt? I have played it 16 times and whilst its not perfect it is still a fun game, especially the combat and some of the exploring of worlds. It's also much better with Mods if you are on PC. If you want to give it another go I can recommend some, also maybe there is a way I can share an NG+ save file so you can have all options open to you re play style, profiles, weapons etc...

That and I really started to hate the platforming after awhile too, not my favorite game mechanic. It got to the point where I was asking myself why was I even bothering? Same thing happened with DA:I. I've re started both games multiple times but I eventually hit a wall and say nope this is boring and give up.

Oh and how could I forget those annoying Remnant puzzles They are something I am inherently not good at, I use a mod that lets me have up to 1,000 decryption keys and for the two puzzles you have to do manually I have print outs of the solution.

Same thing happened with DA:I. I've re started both games multiple times but I eventually hit a wall and say nope this is boring and give up. I get it. I played The Division 1 at a time when there wasn't a lot on offer and found it stressful but got myself through it by accepting I was going to die and just to challenge myself in a type of game I wouldn't normally play. However I have started playing TD2 and I initially was really enjoying it but hit the wall yesterday, I tend to only play solo and this iteration is definitely more challenging playing by yourself, to the point it is stressing me playing. So stopped and went back to Assassins Creed Odyssey where I still had some DLC to finish and I also want to do another PT. Would you be interested in playing that, its RPG light and you don't have to have played any of the others as its set before all of them, just some of the lore may go over your head. But the combat's fun, the Protag's are great and the world setting is pretty awesome? It has a stealth element, not sure if that is a plus or bonus for you. Maybe check out this thread if you want to gain some insight: bsn.boards.net/thread/821/assassins-creed-true-permitted?page=106&scrollTo=1246580

I literally uninstalled the game two days ago so the mod manager won't load unfortunately. Basically they are aesthetic things like armour replaces for Cora and Liam and PeeBee, Outfit replacers for Suvi and any science people like Lexi, Make Up and Hair mods, one called MEA Fix Pack which fixes broken quests etc, one that lets you stop SAM talking or choosing what he tells you about, like stopping him talking about the weather etc. one that rebalances the squad mates powers and fixes some broken combo's and another that lets the shop on The Tempest sell everything. You use a tool called Frosty Mod Manager which is actually pretty easy to install and use. www.nexusmods.com/masseffectandromeda

Lots of newcomers to AC have played it and enjoyed it, maybe ask on the thread for their feedback. Curious Crow played all the AC Games from the first one through to Odyssey and MarilynRobert played it I think as her first AC Game, sure they'd be happy to give feedback. The stealth isn't too bad in ACOD and the melee combat and bow combat is pretty good anyway even if you break stealth or just choose to go all warrior mode. Uplay is no worse than any of the others I have found, its chat is the worst of the lot though.

I would get the game if there's a sale which is not likely to happen at the moment. $70 for a game that has little RPG / story is expensive in my book.

I would get the game if there's a sale which is not likely to happen at the moment. $70 for a game that has little RPG / story is expensive in my book. Cheers OG, totally understand. It may be a frame of mind thing to!!!!!! Just giving it a break till I finish the 3rd ep of ACOD DLC, speaking of which WTF is it with Darius attitude when you meet up with him at the town where you have to take down the forge and factory I think it is and rescue the civilians? At the start of the DLC I got he was pissed at Kass but I made Kass own it but he was a bit OTT in my opinion. It made me stop playing actually.

I saw that mod. Some of the mods almost make me want to give ME:A another go. I'm on PC. PM me the list of mods if you like. You use a tool called Frosty Mod Manager which is actually pretty easy to install and use. www.nexusmods.com/masseffectandromeda Thanks! That'll keep me busy!

Maybe check out this thread if you want to gain some insight: bsn.boards.net/thread/821/assassins-creed-true-permitted?page=106&scrollTo=1246580I must admit I've been following AC: Odyssey a bit. It's interesting but I usually suck at stealth game play. Looks like it could be a fun game. And I'd have to get Uplay.... I thought I was no good at stealth until I played AC:Odyssey and now I love it. I'd never played any AC games until dazk got me interested...shame on you dazk for adding one more time suck to my life Anyway, I'm a 63 year old woman with no real life gaming friends but with advice from folks on this forum, they helped me get really good at playing the game and it's been fun. I haven't played for a while because of real life happenings but while playing I got up to level 72, 100% game completion and top mercenary, and now I plan to get back to playing soon so that I can have fun with all the new stuff that's been added. I know you can do it if I can do it...but I also understand not wanting to get started on one more thing. I was ignoring other games until dazk got me interested in AC.

I must admit I've been following AC: Odyssey a bit. It's interesting but I usually suck at stealth game play. Looks like it could be a fun game. And I'd have to get Uplay.... Maybe next month, or whenever I can afford to buy AC:OD
