officerdonnz I'm rubbish at stealth, especially if it has anything to do with avoiding patrols and there is very little of that in AC Odyssey. Or well, very little mandatory, since it's really easy just to lure the guards into bushes and shank/knock them out and then enjoy a free reign over the area. So I wouldn't worry about being stealthy Which is going to sound a bit contradictory to my what did I doism, but the being quiet was optional, I was specced as a warrior and it was more a matter of pride. Oh and I also blame dazk for setting me on the journey with his enthusiasm. And vonuber for their pictures. So thanks for that ---- As for what done did. A bunch of things in short bursts. Post ended up running on long, thus spoilers but nothing really story related. And no pictures. Played Subnautica yesterday. Found silver this time before noping away. The metal eating feckers near the Creep Vines are just too creepy. Then a bit of AC Odyssey DLC, but got mad because they wanted me to be quiet, which I don't do, but I liked the fellow so I tried and my best effort failed. So just flipped the table and noped out. Much temper, no chill. Tried again today. Bears ended up doing most of the work for me. It was like the Hinterlands out there, but the enemies were the inquisitor and I was a peaceful fauna hiding in the flowers. Had to scuffle a bit because some fool saw that my weapon was on fine and then some blokes came on horses. But again, a brave bear picked up my slack. Even got the final kill! Didn't feel it was right to kill such a valiant protector so just knocked him out and let him cool his blood lust in a field of flowers. Violence is ALWAYS the answer. But don't really have the patience for the game at the moment. Or much of anything. Tried out demo of Flashback. Does look a bit interesting, but not enough to want to get into it.
Then figured out I might try out the games I was interested in on the Origin Access vault before my subscription runs out. Tried out Bulletstorm. Awww bless you game, asking me if Cursing bothers me. But seriously, potty mouth is fine. Ended up being on par with my posts before I edit them. Then another awww when they get worried about the gore making my tummy upset. Granted if it was an FMV I might have felt a bit sickly, but pixel gore is fine. Not sure how I feel about the game. I like the protag and his jerkiness. Combat is okay, but I'm rubbish at it since I have a problem seeing the enemies. Story is so so. Didn't play awfully much, but could see myself at least lasting a few more hours.
Then tried The Count Lucanor and Invisible Hours. And nope. Not feeling it so quit a few minutes in. First one because I didn't like the protag, in that unreasonable first impression nope. And second because I didn't like the game play, again same reason as the protag.
Gave Prince of Persia a try but didn't get too far. Controls a bit too wonky for today. His voice is real nice though and I did feel bad when he went all "Do you wish to leave before I finish my story? D:" Ended up playing Shadows on the Vatican Part One. Was too stupid and had to look up help two times. D: Had a bit of an issue where the game would constantly crash at a loading screen. So ended up having to go to the options, click Shadows Off, then back out without saving it and Boom-Bada-Bing the game loaded. Even if nothing had changed. Nice. But it's good that that fixed it and not reloading another save like google suggested, because the last hard save I had was 40 minutes ago. And just no. Then wrapped up the game without issue. Was missing two chivos, so ended up replaying, this time skipping dialog and since I knew what to do, most of the waffling was also skipped. Finished the game in around 40 mins, ironically. Could have shaved like 5-10 minutes off since did forget to look at stuff sometimes before entering a convo, so had to wait while the slow animation let me out of the convo. Still. That was pretty fast. But it was nice. Kinda reminded me of the Broken Sword games. Could also just have been because the protag was a blonde fellow. Started up Part Two, but it's a bit too late to be getting into it today. This time the lass has a fairly pleasant voice but the lads is a bit, gruffer? I did prefer his voice in the first, but it's still fine and might even calm down when the sitation does as well. The lass voice was not awful in the first game, but much much more pleasant now. Then ended up going through one story in Cinder. Because who needs sleep. Still really good.

Well singed up for Uplay and I couldn't use my usual user name as someone had already taken it! I'm pretty sure I've never sighed up to Uplay in the past... Oh well not a major worry.

What version of AC:OD to buy... When I have some money to spend... The DLC and additional contend for gold has been good and there is more DLC to come, looks like Uplay has a 50% discount on Odyssey all variations ATM in Australia at least. So standard edition is $44-97 AUD <iframe width="23.96" height="3.52" id="MoatPxIOPT0_10613437" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 15px; top: -5px; width: 23.96px; height: 3.52px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> <iframe width="23.96" height="3.52" id="MoatPxIOPT0_72739553" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 1138px; top: -5px; width: 23.96px; height: 3.52px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> <iframe width="23.96" height="3.52" id="MoatPxIOPT0_93307409" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 116px; width: 23.96px; height: 3.52px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> <iframe width="23.96" height="3.52" id="MoatPxIOPT0_26044993" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 1138px; top: 116px; width: 23.96px; height: 3.52px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe>

Well took AC:OD for a spin. Quite enjoyed what I've played so far, only about 2 hours. I picked Kass I'm playing on easy and with all map markers The game looks beautiful. I think I'm going to enjoy it.

I think I'm going to enjoy it. Just a tip, the main quest markers are the black and gold ones with the exclamation marks. They push the main story lines of the family reunifying and the cultist storyline. The rest are optional and just gain you drachmae and XP. It is indeed a beautiful game, I have only played Kassandra and her VA gets better as the game progresses in my opinion. A great video to watch to get a take on the VA's personalities is this one where they answer twitter questions if you want to have a look.

Picked up three time capsules in Subnautica. One player threw in the teddy bear and the advanced knife. The other two players also threw in very useful stuff. Warning, spoiler ending thoughts. This is my third PT to date and I never stop wondering often on how to interpret that last message from the Sea Emperor. She died, that's for certain but is it possible her consciousness went with the protag? Her telepathic reach is really far if she could talk to the protag as the rocket went into the transit corridor, speeding away from the planet. That's not the usual rocket speed since the onboard computer mentioned heading for the interstellar phasegate and firing up the ion boosters. I would love for it to be the latter. It would make for an interesting sequel. Also, I'm wondering if Ryley Rohinson, the protag, went to since I doubted he would be able to pay of the trillion credits. Subnautica Subzero is available now but it's only EA which means incomplete features and story. It also has a different protag. I'll wait for them to complete it.

I must admit I've been following AC: Odyssey a bit. It's interesting but I usually suck at stealth game play. Looks like it could be a fun game. And I'd have to get Uplay.... I thought I was no good at stealth until I played AC:Odyssey and now I love it. I'd never played any AC games until dazk got me interested...shame on you dazk for adding one more time suck to my life Anyway, I'm a 63 year old woman with no real life gaming friends but with advice from folks on this forum, they helped me get really good at playing the game and it's been fun.

In GRW: So on a lark since i basically spent no real time in Monte Pinchu (or wheever) last time, essentially just did the Seuno mission and left, I decided to go through and collect all the skill points in the region this time and actually explore. Going to do the same with Inca Camina next. Nothing major to report I was actually surprised that a lot of the skill points weren't in the middle of Santa Blanca bases so I was able to get in and out and get them all done. Plus the mission where Sueno makes his 'job offer'. Which of course was turned down and then I expressed my displeasure by grenading the cars.
So in other news though the challenges you get for earning the points for the crates are really, really, hard. Which I don't blame them but...man. So last night's challenge which I thought I could do was kill three SB snipers over 100 meters distance while being stationary. So I started shooting some...shot 1...and then shot 1 again 'wait a minute I went' so I realized I had to shoot all three while being stationary. I still thought I had it when there was three snipers in a range but I didn't see the last one till later so I guess I must've moved...so it restarted. Still it seems like MAYBE I am still getting points because I think the community can get them commulative...but I haven't tried to look the last couple of days so I am not one hundred percent sure.

Well, shit. I thought this would happen but just didn't know the details of how or why until getting to that point in the game.
So, that structure I stumbled across while waiting for rescue from the skies? Turns out it's a big ass WEAPON designed to "protect" the planet by destroying any incoming ships. The planet is under quarantine (don't know why) and apparently I am contaminated with (something) since it wouldn't give me access to disable the weapon. Boo! Guess what happened to my ride? Yep, blown out of the sky. If only I could have radioed them back to say DO NOT APPROACH. Sigh.
So, I swam back to my lonely little escape pod and, thanks to the tip from Obsidian Gryphon , used my knife to break off some corals and make myself a habitat builder. Still not out of the woods though, because I apparently need to stave off the immiment nuclear meltdown of my own wrecked ship that probably should have happened by now but hasn't. I also need to scavenge more metals for various things so I can make other various things, like the propulsion cannon and a foundation for my very first real habitat.
Edit: BTW, the structure reminded me a lot of the remnant vaults in MEA. It even had it's own version of a gravity well!

I found this bit of Nazi propaganda regarding Wolfenstein's protagonist B.J. Blazkowicz amusing. In Red Dead Redemption 2 you can earn honor from greeting people in a friendly manner. This is a greeting gone awry. LOL. I just about died I was laughing so hard.

In AC:OD I finally had my run in with Talos the mercenary. I filled him full of arrows and took about half his health before he got to me. I was waiting for him on a nice long bit of road so I could see the bugger coming. Even so he's not easy and I'm still getting used to the combat. It was satisfying killing him

Played 2 more hours of New Dawn. This time a cougar nearly killed us. RDR2 PTSD set in. *g* Crafted myself a nice tier 2 machine gun with a neat scope. Got the rocket launcher. Blew myself up. Yup, same old, same old.
We rescued a bunch of dogs from sick experiments. And prompty found out that New Dawn doesn't allow ANY companion in co-op........... Seriously, why is stuff restricted in New Dawn that worked in FC5? So we cannot have any of the pet companions! WTF. Screw you, Ubisoft. What is this shit?? The best thing about FC5 was that we could at least have ONE of the possible two companions. Why change that? WHY? I LOVED giving the dog or the cougar or the bear a scratching. So, this game is MUCH inferior to FC5 already just because of this to us. I was SO looking forward to new pet companions. What the hell... not cool.

Watched Sekiro gameplay. I think the protag's arms are weirdly long. This game is not for me though it's SP but I'm happy to see it on Steam. I wish I could support it. Anyway, it's mainly levels of fighting mobs and bosses, reminds me of Dark Souls.
P.S. The rope grappler reminds me of the grappling hook in AC Syndicate and the Pull / Far Reach in Dishonored II though the latter has more employment; I can pull objects and enemies (and kill them) besides using it to travel to high places quickly.

1948.
After a bitter fight, the German Reich takes New York and Washington. Guderain's 2nd Panzer Army passes Nashville, accelerating to the coast.
I blame this development on Blazskowicz not reminding Fergus to take a piss.

It has an effect on the NPCs; they will fall sick and eventually die. This is the first time I see a game akin to DS penalizes the player for dying too often. I guess the devs are telling the players; don't take the awesome rez for granted. Emma spoke of a plausible cure. I'm sure it would happen but if the player keeps dying and dying before it's found, bye bye NPCs.

Finally decided to play Shadow of Mordor, 3 years after I bought game. Better late than never... Interesting game; nice enough story and Nemesis system is fun. Lots of fun achievements tied to that system to be done. Combat looks very familiar...
