So some more Greedfall yesterday, investigated a supposed Charlatan and some Heretics both for different factions. Looked for a missing Cabin Boy for Captain Vasco the Captain of the ship that's too take you to the island and all these quests depending on the solution you choose give you insight into the factions and gain or lose you reputation with them. Then defeated a big monster and set sail for the island Teer Fradee. Got their did some roaming around looting everything I could find , joined a club where I think I'll be able to do fights later and continued a quest re some cargo I'd illicitly stowed on the ship for one of your companions. Met the former governor who is handing over to the main characters sort of brother who is to be the new Governor of New Serene. Also the ships Captain Vasco got booted from his ship for some reason and ordered to stick with De Sardet (the protagonist). Pics The Charlatan ] The guy that asks you to investigate thim and who is The Leader of The Bridge alliance The Heretics The Guy who wants them captured The Cabin Boy and Captain Vasco The Big Beasty and Arriving at The Island

Greedfall I'm pretty slow on this. I resolved the first part of the silver coin man and then proceeded to do Vasco's personal quest. I was hesitant on doing his quest so early but then I've to consider his personal regard towards De Sadet and the bonus of his friendship when it is gained. Siona's PQ hasn't kick off but Kurt does say something when De Sadet spoke to him. He indicated he can wait as he is aware De Sadet is helping Vasco at the moment. I'm pretty wary of asking Kurt about loneliness again and the second choice reply because it seemed as though it's the threshold to setting up a more closer relationship with him.

Did same things as others did, so there is no need to repeat all that. Interesting game so far.

Fallout 4. Cleaned out the Children of Atom at the lighthouse. Had to reload my saved game after I stepped on a nuke mine. I thought it was a regular mine and wasn't in a rush to move. Then I broke out the Fatman and nuked the CoA at the crater. They keep preaching about the atom and I sent them to their atom god in style. Head back to Nuka World and cleaned out Safari Adventure of the gatorclaws. The game is dumb by having them act tough like deathclaws instead of just charging to attack you. Eradicated them and then my character finally fell to the dark side by exterminating the ghoul gorillas and Cito. Still haven't placed any faction flags yet but think I'll keep the Nuka raiders alive after all. Going to see about the mods that make Preston killable or make him not care about you being a raider. That's so sweet, I know just what to do with this. Cait has been giving me pointers on melee weapons. There, put it to good use. That's a lot of grade A meat on that barbarian, can't let that go to waste. Quit complaining, Cait, don't knock it until you tried it.

Finally had some free time and decided to play some Sims 4. Had been poking at the new magic expansion, but decided instead to keep on my attempt at playing ALL the premade families. So loaded up the Delgatos again. Decided to try the Vet career out since I've never tried it before and the text blurb for the family said the lady wanted to be a vet. Do wish it was a bit more nuanced, that you could both own a vet practice and just be employed there. But alas. So she bought the local vet clinic and hired two lads to work for her. And it was quite nice. The patient flow is just dandy without advertisements and the place quickly grew a good reputation for speedy service and good way of handing animals. It was an excellent clinic. There was nothing wrong with it. NOTHING. WRONG. AT. ALL. On an unrelated note I do like Spaghetti sims. Did manage to wrap up the weekend and next up is chill times at the Hecking household. So far no spaghetti. :C But the week is still young.

In GRW: don't know how much I will continue it... for now. But I did give in a bit. Should be back to the Mojave (Utah) before too long.
BUT BOY AM I RUSTY...or my character isn't as levelled as it was and I am used to the bad ass. Here my wife is carefully picking her way through crap and I have gotten into like 3 fire fights so far. Hell I even had reinforcements called on me in that opening intro level when I somehow missed the shot. I think I need to start investing skill points in weapon stability when I get the chance. Also did go ahead and put my female ghost in the game by changing up Weaver's model...and I also blew the hell out of a medical convoy.

Greedfall Opening up the zones slowly. Travelling is kind of odd because there's a rest over before reaching the intended destination. This makes me think that there could be battles later on the game so the rest over gives the player a chance to prepare or if the player forgets something or wants to buy an item, they can access their storage without having to run to their abode or search for a vendor in the next city. I like that every city has a ready abode for the player, complete with storage and crafting table. I've presently opened up a native village and Himdet. It's funny really. Pass an alcove, sees a woman drinking from a bottle. Pass that alcove a few minutes later and it's a man tipping away from a bottle. I wish they did a bit more polishing on the conversation animation because sometimes protag / companion / NPC don't look at the person they're addressing.

This is a sort of interactive loading screen. You will notice the game tells you when the area you wanted to go to is fully loaded. Of course you can run to the exit right away, but will have to wait in a classic loading screen for a bit.
At first I didn't care much for the approach, but as I got deeper into the game I started to appreciate it because it serves as a nice reminder for "check your new stuff in inventory, get rid of trash, refill your ammo and potions".

I am struggling to come to grips with map and travelling TBH. Why do games have to make these things complicated? Click on a place and it says travel but then damn well doesn't take me there, drops me somewhere else so I then have to figure out where to go next to fast travel again!!!!! Happy to be insulted and told I am just stupid because I couldn't figure it out at all!!!! Just made my first venture out of New Serene and then back and going back I am not sure quite why what happened with the travel did, made no sense at all. With regards to the conversation camera you mean like this: Had my first real glitch today, Siora got stuck behind a tree and I had to do a hard fight without her having not realised she wasn't following me. Where were you when I needed you, OH back there!!!!!

So can you explain it in small words for me how it works!!!! FYI I am being serious, why does it not just take you where you want to go? Wasn't this what they did in DAO 10 years ago?

With regards to the conversation camera you mean like this: Had my first real glitch today, Siora got stuck behind a tree and I had to do a hard fight without her having not realised she wasn't following me. Where were you when I needed you, OH back there!!!!! Well, they tried to be creative with the camp area serving as a loading screen, but I see how it can be confusing. It could have been explained better for sure. Well, it works like - you pick where you want to go to and the game puts you in the camp (there is only one exit from it) where you can wait or do some sales/crafting/inventory or run directly to the exit. If you run at the exit ASAP you will get to the classic loading screen and wait in it until you are transferred to the place you want to go. If you wait in the camp a bit, you will see a message in the upper right corner that says "area is fully loaded" or something, which means the map you wanted initially to go to is loaded and you can proceed to the exit and get minimal (if any) loading screen.
And yeah, for some quests you have to pass through the area that exists before the area with a city/quest you have to reach. Not sure if this is for technical reasons or "It's breaking my immersion" crybabies or just because Spiders wanted to show off how many areas they put in.
I also got Petrus lost somewhere in the wild once. No idea where and how. But I was near a campfire and just called all companions from there and he showed up. Seeing as some, cough, ladies in a...umm, respectable establishment knew him, I'd say Father Petrus is somewhat of a fox. But the worst is I myself got stuck once in rocks while my companions had to face a big battle. By the time I freed myself, the fight was over thanks to the purple/gold upgrades with crafted bonuses I gave Petrus and Siora just 5 minutes before that. Proud of the team! Not exactly, in DAO you could go to your camp from the map, but it was a separate area you had to pick to visit. The map loading was hidden by blood drops, showing your path to the objective.

Cheers. The DAO thing was similar in the way you'd get "ambushed" then have to walk down the road or whatever and exit it to get to your final destination. I am yet to find Petrus yet and am desperate to find Aphra. I am hoping they'll give me some more motivation to keep playing.

Petrus's introduction gave me a bit of a chill, because the voice actor really can pull a sort of a menacing vibe to his delivery. And it happened right after a pretty cool, but bit disturbing cutscene and encounter with someone, voiced by our old pal Dorian Pavus, who was of all things:

Cliff Empire: I THINK I'm finally close to ground colonization! I'm on the last step before the final (?) habitat control panel gets unlocked at honor point 25. I completed the solar ring around the orbital station that will provide power to Earth eventually. Then I had to raise mental health by building a few more psych wards... Now I've built a scanner which I presume will then inform me that parts of Earth are no longer lethally radiated and all of the 5000 spacers can soon leave the station. The scan takes forever to complete right now (8/100 so far) because I keep runing out of uranium the scanner needs to be supplied with continuously. I DO have plennty of uranium on my cliffs but again the trade terminals are too slow to keep up with demand. Same for all the goods I produce on the orbital station. It piles up while the cliffs are not getting any of it. Very annoying. Only solution would be to build more trade terminals but they are big and I can't afford to delete something else to make space...
No Man's Sky: I FINALLY found my first pink planet!!!! After about 25 hours with the Beyond update I found a tiny pink moon that's even an exotic hydro garden.
I did not think the game could still amaze me after 278h but it took my breath away. That giant planet in the sky, the tiny one at the top. Perfection. There is another ringed one in the other direction.
I've only meant to build a base on one of those planets but none was that pretty. Now if only they fixed the bazillion base building bugs since the update...

Bolivia: After getting the M1911 in Ocorro easily enough I went on up to my favorite area in the whole wide world...ahem...and played tag with Unidad for most of the next hour. The last piece of my weapon's build, the ACR, was up there and well its Unidad and SAM ally up there. Kind of annoying really. Though I not once, but twice, landed a helicopter that was about to eat a SAM and got out of it and it went skidding off into the far distance to crash and or explode. That was funny. The battle at the airport up there was kind of...fun. I was actually holding my own against them picking a lot of them off as they were coming up, trying to get intel, trying to get a helicopter ride out of there, but then a random explosion just took me out. I finally found the ACR, had a patrol up there looking for me, and then took them out. Finally snuck in and got the weapon in question...found its stock was in Media Luna so I went to go get it...getting into another fire fight but that was fine. Off to Ituaca...or Utah.

Obsidian Gryphon I'm not sure I'm ready to try and bend like mine did. --- A bit of Sims 4 with not much notable happening except that Brant Hecking carried his laundry between his thighs instead of just holding it. Each to their own I guess. Then a short bout of Assassins Creed Odyssey, Fate of Atlantis episode 3. Did the quest Crowd Pleaser and then had to quit the game, since I'm not ready to deal with the whole choices and consequences at the moment. But I do like this area the best visually. The white and blue are very pretty, everything looks in top shape and there are a lot of neat little areas. Navigating them is a pain though, but not as much as Elysium. So far the characters are the least appealing of the bunch, but then again they are competing with Tom Hiddleston and the cutest doggy that ever dogged, so, it's not a fair fight. So decided to make a liar of myself and jump on the Greedfall train. So far so good. Made it to the next area with only half of my hair torn out. Having a bit of an issue with my brain wanting spacebar to be dodge and the game wanting it to be pause. Changing it in the control switches some other stuff around and just not ready to deal with it. So just complain instead. Also I feel like I need more fingers and hands. Not a fan of the head bobbing, but luckily I adjust to it fairly quickly. Otherwise it's fine. Had to restart fairly early, because as beautiful as the face was, the small head size and the magnificent shadow mustache were bothering me. Googled if I could change the face (or at least the hairdo) and only found a negative, so decided to give it another go. Quite pleased with the outcome. There is still a bit of a mustache, but much more lady like this time around.

Greedfall
Hit level 12, opening up more areas. At the moment, just pursuing a singular quest.
I wish devs would learn one universal rule; if there're going to be big zones with loot scattered all over, allow players to place custom beacons. Divinity Original Sins 2 have this feature, allowing the player to place a flag and note down what it is they'll come back to later. I'm finding chests requiring LP 2 and 3 and unable to open them because the protag does not have LP. Also finding locations that are obviously sealed off for later events, maybe? It's bloody unlikely I can recall every location.

I wish I could visit early check points to see if I missed them there. I wanted to get all those collectobles on my own at least once in my life without the need of guides.

Well the game may be starting to win me over, got to spend some more time in it rather than the odd hour or two here and there. saandrig do you recommend pursuing the main quest first or just randomly doing stuff? I am doing the quest to do an alliance with the Bridge Alliance and some tribes but after that I have so many side missions queued but still haven't done the Theleme main quest. Vasco also just hit me up to further his personal I have rad some stuff that doing that too early may lock out romances is that true?

I'm running out of threads to read when so many are playing/talking about Greedfall.
More Witcher 1 adventure mode
Finished off the side-quests in the second official module, Side Effects. Beat up everyone who wanted to fist fight (really don't like that mechanic since neither hit nor block seem to work properly) and also fleeced a bunch of wealthy townsmen out of all their coin by beating them at dice poker. Ended up with over 5K orens, then finally went to pay off Glover. He of course altered the deal, asking for an additional 1K in "interest," at which point Geralt told him to piss off. Several dead cronies and wyverns later, Geralt took back his 2K orens, then grabbed Dandelion from the city jail and split asap before anyone could stop them.
Next module is a fan made one called Deceits. It's supposed to be the name of po-dunk village I'm stuck in but seems to be more about what's going on than anything else. Really jarring to not have voices for anyone. Yet somehow Geralt can yell like a banshee while killing wolves. Also, the bridge being out doesn't seem like it should be much of a hindrance since, if allowed, I could walk across the stream to the other side.

I'd recommend doing the companion quests ASAP, rest of the side quests may wait. There is a main quest reason
