olnorton I notice you have 3 Gaunter O'Dimm cards on that list. Are those from the base game or HoS only? I certainly don't have any of them. Yes I started to add HOS cards, but then lost interest. Schirru Gaunter O'Dimm: Darkness Eredin: Breacc Glas Emhyr var Emreis: Invader of the North Foltest: Son of Medel Emhyr var Emreis: Invader of the North Francesca Findabair: Hope of the Aen Seidhe Are all from HOS I started that list before the patch that added that book, that tells you how many cards you have still to get, or where from. Congraz on finishing that quest I just finished The Council. It wasn't too bad, I don't usually play puzzle games, or games that don't let you save, but it was alright. I got to sleep with the Duchess in the pic, and her twin sister, only to find out later, that they were both my sisters.

I have just started DragonQuest 11 and find it to be really charming. Stock standard story and tried and true battle system but just done really well - you don't need to reinvent the wheel. ... I suspect I'm currently a fan because I can do some work, read some books, perform a few turns in combat, do some more work, perform a few more turns, read a bit more of a book Can't do that with an action game

I'm playing mainly three games. Two on mobile and one on Switch (mostly in stationary mode, I like it more than I thought I would). In King's Raid I'm slowly creating two teams - one focused on physical attack and the other focused on magic attack. I'm not as broke as before, but far from being rich enough to upgrade my gear decently. Pokemon Masters boils down to me trying to get trainer that I have 0,5% chance of getting and crying every time I waste more and more free premium currency on not getting him. As for Switch game... Still Pokemon Sword. I finished main plot on Thursday. I could have finished it way earlier if 1) I didn't try to get Pokemon I later learned is mostly post-game spawn and 2) I didn't try to get my team to max level. It only had 3 Pokemon out of 6 available slots so basically, I wanted to be sure I can brute-force my way thru Pokemon League if I don't have type adventage. Overall, gameplay-wise, stuff I like outweigh the stuff I don't like (thought lack of Global Trade Station and National Dex hurts). Plotwise... it's not that good. Don't get me wrong, Pokemon never had deep and complicated plot (though Gen V had good one), but this... this is soooo weak. The only saving grace are some characters and overall setting. Galar is beautiful region and I adore stadium-like feeling of gyms. Now if you excuse me, I'm going back to working on my Pokedex while being salty about each game's main legendary being post game thing and not part of main game plot.

My Stardew Valley playthrough continue as Fall is almost over, just a few days left until the Winter season (well month, lol). I now have an upgraded coop and barn with new duck and goat friends. I upgraded all my tools to gold except for the water can (waiting for winter for that one). The villagers are getting more friendly, but Haley is still saying strange things, like not finding shopping as fun as before. She must have hit her head pretty hard when she fell in the mud at the end of Summer. There was a fair in town on 16 th and I won the best display contest. Then went fishing mini-game (I suck at the other ones) and a bit of wheel gambling to buy fair items. I even succeeded in losing all my fair-money on the gambling (the always bet on green tip is a lie!). I also talked to the Clairvoyant and she said that she saw Linus visit me at the hospital, that I would be fighting in the dark a place (mine) and Haley and me happy in a grass field...hmm. I also ended up in one of Emily's dream, it was weird and once she woke up she was super wierd (she's Haley's sister...I will never doubt Haley again when she complains her sister is weird). I also completed two sections of the Community Center. I can probably complete two more by the start of Winter. 1.4 is now released too I might restart as 1.4 has a new character creator with cat/dog breed selection (otherwise I need to raise the Wizard to 4 hearts to access the Shrine of Illusion...I never talk to the guy).

Cleared Gears of War 5 on insanity, and even though there was the expected number of deaths and tantrum induced mouse slammings, I generally found it easier than the fourth game(there was nothing quite on the level of frustration that was the swarmak boss fight *shudder*).

So more Yakuza 0 cabaret edition. It seems the texture glitch was not permanent and may have been that my virtual memory ran out that session or something. Just glad things are back to normal. Did win two more of the five stars and both were pleasant surprises, since I was sure I'd lost both times. The first one was pretty close in sales, but my saving grace was that I didn't spend anything on gifts, so won by having less expenses. Second was really scary, since he maxed out his money meter way before me, but again, he spent money on gifts and I did not. So victory was mine! Extra nice since the fight had "stakes", wouldn't have lost the game but story wise it would have been sad. Now only got the final star left (or well, as far as I know) and he's looking kinda scary, so will have to grind a bit before attempting him. Also got in a tiny bit of Sims 4 and then a bunch of Stardew Valley. Thanks for they heads up azarhal Did know the update was today, then plain forgot about it until I saw your post Didn't do much though, but ooh and aaahed over the new cat and dog types. And there was some more lovely hair. Including bald. YES. And skirts! Double nice. Then just did some fishing. Lots of fishing. Very fish. Fish. And a flounder. Nice! So good times there.

So, was thinking about the timeline of events before heading to get Ciri and I'm confused about something. Here's what Geralt tells Emhyr about his tracking efforts:
Ciri and Avallac'h appear in Skellige causing a big boom. They are chased by the Wild Hunt and get separated.
Ciri ends up in the swamp with the Crones, Avallac'h ends up....somewhere....and eventually runs into Kiera. He is wearing a mask at this time, supposedly to hide his identity.
Ciri escapes the Crones, ends up at Crow's Perch with the Bloody Baron, makes some friends, then heads to Novigrad. Avallac'h is .... whereabouts unknown.
In Novigrad, Ciri is looking for help with a curse but, and this is what I'm confused on, how did she know about the curse at this point? Is this why Avallac'h wears the mask? Because he's starting to show signs of turning into Uma?
Ciri escapes Novigrad, with no answer on de-cursing, and ends up back in Skellige where she again meets up with Avallac'h and they sail off in a boat. This is when he places her in a deep sleep and hides her at the Isle of Mists. The boat comes back to shore and he's turned into Uma.
So, either Ciri was present when he was cursed (thus hearing it herself) OR he told her he was cursed (and taught her the words), and was able to hold off the full effects until hiding her.
I'll try to pay more attention to what Ciri and Avallac'h say this time, but I don't see any other options for how she would know the curse unless she time-traveled to when it happened but that seems a bit too convenient and, if she could do that, she could just prevent him from being cursed to begin with.
I know why devs do it this way but just once it would be nice for Geralt to ask someone, how long ago was this? A week? A month? Yesterday? It's so infuriating to know that is one of the first things asked when looking for someone but game characters never ask it!

Stardew Valley update is cool. I love the new trash can animation and that the cat now sleep on my bed. I also got a random event I never got before (it's there since launch): a witch went over my coop and turned an egg into a void egg! I decided to hatch it and get a void chicken and more eggs eventually. unless she time-traveled to when it happened
My impression of the Avall'ach/Ciri/Uma thing was that time travel was involved when I played it too. Part of that belief was probably caused by the time travel being involved in Witcher 1 plot (well hinted at being involved heavily, it's not spelled out straight up).

ACOD Atlantis Cleared the 3rd pie and now on the 4th. I was right about the huge building. It's Persephone's palace. I picked up the 4th Keeper's Insight and have 17 ability points to spend. I'm keeping it that way for a while to see what ability I would really need to upgrade later when I finally proceed with the story because I know for sure Persephone's going to be mighty mad with Kass. The dialogue isn't going to be pretty unless the game ignore the fact that Kass destroyed Persephone's control of the zone. I haven't hand in the book to Hekate yet because I'm not sure what effect it would have. I'm going to see how the Persephone dialogue turn out.

So more Yakuza 0, Cabaret Edition. With a touch of main story as well. Went out and about and invested in all the buildings I could get my grubby little mitts on. Granted I'm missing like 7. But I almost own the whole town, so like got that going for me. During that I decided to give the equipment requesting a go, since I stumbled upon a side quests which wanted certain weapons, so figured I might get a little bit extra while tracking them down. I usually don't equip other weapons than the fists and infinity bat. Sometimes I do pick up cool stuff if it's lying around on the battle field, like umbrella's and tea kettles. The good stuff. But when I have the option to wield some wicked double feather dusters, then damn right am I going to equip them. Shake-a-shake-a! Granted they broke after the fight and it's like 1 million yen to repair them. Still worth it. Finished the final Star of the Five stars, which was pretty nice. There wasn't an extra star, but the little subplot that had been hinted at in the background came into the front. And it was quite silly. (Just text and very much spoiler in spoilers) So the fifth star had his realization that what he did was wrong, but his reasoning was understandable since tragic past and stuff but now he's going to do better. And his assistant goes: "Nah I just love money" and shoots him. Cool. So he goes into a coma and she challenges Majima to a fight at the Grand. Much tears, very tragic. Majima takes the challenge and faces her in the Grand. Except she's a lady and he can't go hitting ladies now can he? So he's made to fight with her four muscles. Who probably put up way more fight than she ever could with her pistol, so I'll let it slide. So he beats the bejeezus out of them and then has a dramantic talk to her. And the fifth star returns from the shortest coma ever to beg her to turn the page and join him in peace and love. Except she can't because she's "corrupt by money". So suicide is the answer, she puts the gun to her head and says farewell and pulls the trigger. Except lol no ladies can't die on screen so Majima death blocks her. Foiled once more she gives up, they have drinks and then the couple goes off to be arrested before they can redeem themselves and stuff. Moral of the story: I wan't to fight women damn it. Anyways. Did have loads of fun with the whole plot and finally nabbed a shot of my A-team. A-team in spoilers. Left to right: Chika, Hibiki, Shinomi (? Okay there is a kinda open spot at the A-Team. She's good though.), Etsuko, Majima, Erranda, Saki, Ai and Yuki. Maxed out Yuki's, Erranda's and Etsuko's levels. Also wrapped up the substories of everyone except Chika (did play pool with her and was delighted that she was almost as bad as me, just a little bit better) and the new hostess Mana. Because lazy and it can be next chapter/post game stuff. Then moved on with the main quest. Which involved beating up the office staff and berating them for being actually helpful in the end. Rude. Then there was a fight club? It was weird. And then met my favorite again And him and Majima became buddies after a fun fight and some touching backstory. And we were going to kick arse and take names! And... Gosh darn it. Whyyyyyyy. Either way decided to call it good there, since it was the end of the chapter and I think there is a whole new area in the next one? And also it's late. That too. But had a really good time, happy to be back on track at the main plot and am interested in where the story will go from here.

Fallout 4 Acquired all of the Nuka power armors from Nuka World. Cleared out the Nuka factory and Dry Rock Gulch of pesky varmints. Still have to deal with Safari and Kiddie Kingdom. I'll take care of those when I get back. Returned to the Commonwealth to drop off the last Nuka armor. Since I was back in the Commonwealth, did some more exploring. Found some PA at one of the National Guard depots and modded it up. Went to the Gunner base at the radio station and cleared them out. Since Gab has this special hatred of Gunners, followed up by going to Quincy and taking them all out. It was a heated, confusing battle. Accidentally killed one of Cricket's caravan guards and the other turned hostile on me so I had to kill that one also. Thankfully Cricket didn't become hostile when I found her. Cleared out Quincy finally, after taking a few stimpacks in the process and now the newly modded PA is badly damaged. Time to return to the Red Rocket base and make some repairs. What is with you mutants named Max and this fixation on seeing how big your mini gun is compared to mine. Home where they belong. Newly modded Tesla, jet pack PA. Well, shit.
Edit*********** Ghouls raided my home base and my security robots blew up my cars. Is nothing sacred?

ACOD Atlantis Cleared all the zone in Elysium Fields and grabbed all of the Ainimagta Ostraka. I diddled, considering the 20% Isu dmg and decided not to use it. Met Persephone but not before I cleared out her little treasury. She greeted Kass, all smiles and want to be friendly. She sent Kass to do a job about a horse. I didn't do what she asked though. Kass : How're you doing? Isu Warden : Oh I'm just hanging free and easy. It's a good life. Though it'll be a hard act to follow the next time you come by. I have the shiver and cringe doing this jump. That tiny bed of flowers is going to cushion Kass. ...

So XCOM might not be for me afterall. My death count is now up to 5...I am having trouble keeping Rangers alive for the life of me, yes it makes sense that since they are my scouts, but yikes. And my first mission to take down one of the Avatar facilities was a bit of a...disaster. I got through it OK but got one of my sharpshooters killed. AND it was a shot that I am reasonably sure couldn't have it. It was straight down a sheer...side of a building with the person above...I was INSIDE the building. Also a mech didn't trigger all my overwatches when it stood right in vision of said door and then when it shot my guy it said 'overwatch removed'. I mean yes, should've taken cover but really the shot shouldv've worked...and its this sort of randomness I cannot abide. As is the randomness of the missing of the shots. On the other hand I do kind of want to keep this PT going to its bitter end...or victory? Nothing else really going on in the PS + side of my gaming right now and I am curious to see how it ends...I've never seen anyone fail before. Yeah, I ended up lowering the difficulty to easy. Even medium is too hard with too many casualties. The cutscenes, story and ending are pretty great imo. So it's worth playing to the end. Plus playing with high tier officer-units is very fun.

I had internet malfunction for a week so I began Divinity Original Sin 2 where everyone talks Cockney, Scottish or Irish! I think the Red Prince speaks Queen's English but kinda reminds me of Dragon Age 2, but it's much better with turn based gameplay. Almost every dialogue and narration has voice acting... that made me play the game! the gameplay has so many aspects to it (special feats for huntsmen, water magic, necromancy, warfare etc.), maybe not as much as NWN but even more fun. This game is very fun, but its difficulty settings are retarded. Adventurer (or explorer?) mode is super easy with +50% bonus for your squad and -50% for your foes, while the Classical mode is like super hard by default. Can't win 2 fights without one of your companions not dying. So I change difficulty between the two. The shamefur dispray of playing on the easy difficulty. Finishing Fort Joy island got like 20 hours or something. Indeed I was pretty clueless often and was wandering around. They pranked/scammed me with an arena fight when I and my 3 companions got blinded... therefore I couldn't do shiet and lost the battle, and reloaded. I'm a bit more after that Void-Deer fight right now... reached the cursed broken bridge at the north eastern end of the coast map.

Winter has come to Stardew Valley.
I now have over 50k gold and there is no crops to spend it own in the Winter...it is the season of foraging, fishing, mining and re-organizing the farm. I'll try to get the last upgrade to the coop and barn and get some rabbits, pigs and sheeps. My cows and chicken are getting near 5 hearts and I'm wondering if I should sell them once I get new animals.
I will plant seasonal forage crops once I get some and can make seeds out of them. I need to find 10 more museum items to get the sewer key and winter is a great season to find those too. I need more iridium for sprinklers too. So many things to do even if there is no crops to buy.
I just love that all my mods got updated by the 27th, not even a full day after the last update.

The Chosen in XCom 2 are defeated - ending the campaign isnt so much of a priority. I just might keep the save to play missions for the sake of it. In between a round of Barotrauma sneaked Disco Elysium I want to explore now.

I had internet malfunction for a week so I began Divinity Original Sin 2
This one is on my "hope to finally play it soon" list, along with Star Control: Origins. Still mucking about in Witcher 3 right now though.
Finally found Ciri. I love this whole sequence.
The homecoming. More emotional I think, when romancing Yen.
Then the battle at Kaer Morhen. Roche and Ves were not at all happy to see Letho again. Uh, whoops. And somehow Lambert was even more prickly after pairing off with Kiera. But of course, this was the worst part.
Afterwards, Yen and Triss went off to find more sorceresses, while Ciri and Geralt stayed behind so she could do some training with Avallac'h. Managed to win the snowball fight the first time since it didn't bug out on me, then went off hunting bad guys with Ciri. This fight took me a few tries since once Imlerith starting teleporting everywhere I had trouble keeping out of his reach.
Now I'm in Novigrad running errands. Made sure to stop at Hattori's for some weapon upgrades and I'm thinking about sneaking out to Crow's Perch so I can get my armor upgraded too. So far I found Philippa and next up is helping Yen rescue Rita from the prison on Oxenfurt. Then I need to meet up with Ciri and finally Avallac'h to go portal hopping. Saving that part for last.
Bonus pic of frozen Geralt

Fallout 4. Not much for today. Watching Thanksgiving football and I'll be leaving soon to have Thanksgiving with the family. Did a lot of settlement building, mostly at Abernathy and some with Red Rocket. Happy Thanksgiving from the Commonwealth wasteland.

I can't believe it's been 5 years since I played Witcher 3. Maybe I should play again. Always wondered if there's something between Ciri and Avallac'h.

Decided to try a change of pace from Fallen Order with Plague Tale: Innocence. I'd seen a number of people here speak highly of it, and so far, it does not disappoint. Gameplay is fairly simple, but it has a beautiful aesthetic and - so far - an ironclad commitment to a setting. But when it wants to look ugly.... Those are rats...for those that haven't played it...I mean, I know "plague" is right there in the title, but these rats...not normal. I'm only a couple of hours in, but have moved from family home, to town to farm on the outskirts. It makes for a very different experience to what I'm used to in a game. All powerful Rift Mage Inquisitor ->> hardened professional monster hunter ->> Batman ->> Jedi ->>...er...maybe fifteen year old girl with a sling...? I mean, she's pretty good with the sling, but still.

Getting closer to the final battle in Witcher 3
Geralt successfully rescued Margarita from prison. No Sile this time as she got blown up in her megascope back in W2. Was hoping for a way to steal the key without having to fight yet another entire regiment of witch hunters and Redanian soldiers but no such luck. I freed the other prisoners as well but then forgot to go talk to them at the sewer entrance.
That done, Geralt snuck out of town to get his (Wolf) armor upgraded. When he got back, he met with Dijkstra, Roche, and Thaler, and agreed to help them kill Radovid. Then he caught up with Ciri who had a few people she wanted to repay for helping (or not helping) her before. First was Whoreson Junior. Geralt didn't kill him (really wanted to) so I guess he ended up whacked out of his mind and homeless? Not exactly sure what happened but Ciri decided his current state was a fate worse than death and let him be. Next stop was a waitress named Bea, and finally some circus performers. Still couldn't bring myself to allow horse thievery so Ciri went off to sulk and Geralt went off to lay a trap for Radovid.
Well, the plan went to hell, as usual, but they got the result they were after when Philippa stabbed the mad king in the back. Back at the rendezvous point, Dijkstra revealed he couldn't agree to the terms the Temerians had worked out with Nilfgaard and turned on his former comrades. Geralt refused to help and headed off the meet Avallac'h.
Sorry Roche, Ves, and Thaler but that's what happens when you deal with the Black Ones, as Geralt knows all too well. He didn't bother mentioning Emhyr to Ciri, figuring if she wanted to see him she would eventually get around to saying so.
Next up is travelling the planes looking for elf-land with Avallac'h. I remember this part being quite tedious, traveling through the frozen wastes. After that, it will be back to the inn for a fun conversation with a bunch of ungrateful sorceresses. Yes, you saved us, now shut up and do what we tell you.

With all the sling upgrades and enough stones, she is more deadly than the whole Inquisitor party The game has to cheese (rat pun intended) some stuff toward the end in order to give you a challenge.

Winter started with 6 days of none stop snowing in Stardew Valley. I guess the lack of rain the rest of the year had to be balanced somehow. I had 1 day of rain in Fall, 2 thunderstorms in the Summer and 1 rainy day in the Spring. Haley is now officially my girlfriend. Although, I'm not sure I want Emily and Clint has in-laws. Clint haven't really made a move on Emily yet, but he did ask me to give her a gift by-proxy so... I don't know if I'm going to stick with Haley either. I'm debating going for another available party eventually (you can turn Stardew Valley into the greatest soap opera ever! Divorces, re-marriage, lost children... Haley and Emily are sisters and both available...the drama ). I updated the barn into a deluxe barn and upgraded the two remaining tools into gold. I got Wooly, the newest member of the barn family. He's going to give me sweet wool for clothes once he grows. Also, my void chicken was born. I called her Voidy. I'm great with animal names, I know. I have half the Community Center finished now, got access to the quarry and cleaning it right the next day.
