Went Dalish basically because I'm planning on playing a human in Inquisition and a dwarf in 4, and my gamer OCD demands elf representation in there somewhere. Know that feeling. Although I tied that off with City Elf in Origins. Glad you like the Dalish Origin, for me, though, it was the one Origin story I've been unable to complete the game with. Done all the others at least once, with Human Noble and City Elf three times each. Just never "felt" my character whenever I tried the Dalish Origin.

Just started DA: Origins, with the intention of playing through the series again and hopefully being done at some point in 2022 in preparation for the fourth game. Went Dalish basically because I'm planning on playing a human in Inquisition and a dwarf in 4, and my gamer OCD demands elf representation in there somewhere. I really do like the origin though. In all the others, Duncan rescuing/conscripting you is mostly a good thing, pulling you out of a sticky situation and/or a dangerous or unworthy environment. But as a Dalish Elf you're completely surrounded by friends and family who are getting by and love and want nothing but the best for you, and you're forced to say goodbye and leave them for the greater good, and because someone you may not trust says that there might be something wrong with you. The farewell sequence reads like a community coming together to see a favored child go off to war, and it's an absolute gutpunch on top of the funeral of your best friend/crush whose hotheaded tendencies you failed to rein in. I absolutely get why the canon Ultimate Sacrifice playthrough is a Dalish. The daily existence of a Grey Warden doesn't have anything that obviously recommends itself to one of the People. Of all the origins they're the most likely to feel like they've lost all hope for a "proper" life and their connection to the world they grew up in, and don't really have much to loose by accepting death as their duty. Ostagar is also an especially surreal experience, not knowing how any of all these shemlen warriors gathered in one place are going to treat a lone hunter with Duncan's badge of approval as her only protection, and no idea how far that extends. Cailan is a ridiculous spectacle, of course, but still encouragingly respectful and welcoming. Alistair is annoyingly flippant and can be pretty insensitive, but also obviously harmless. But everyone else is offensively dismissive, and the flat ears working at the camp and running messages look at you either like an exotic animal or a myth come to life. It's disconcerting. Yeah aftre comin off a couple of runs of ME and playing NFS Heat I felt I needed a bit of a slower game to relax into and I was also in a bit of a DA mood which was why I started a new run of DAI. I can definitely see myself going through all 3 again later in the year. But seeing as I didn't have any wardens or Hawkes in mind I wanted to play I just chose to use the keep to create a random world state for Inquisition. Plus I did have other games I want to play too so I just chose the short portion of just doing DAI. I still want to go back to NFS Heat though because whilst I have now finished the main story there's still a few cars I haven't unlocked that I'd like to play around a bit with befoer I'm completely done with it as like with games like MEA you can still do races and such after completing the main story. Though if I want to play the story again I' dhave t odelete m ysave and reset the game essentially t oput me back at the beginning. I probably wil l eventually d othat as I can see myself wanting t ocome back t opla ythe story again with a new avatar as it was fun but I'd wantto unlock all the cars I want to play with so I can try them before I reset it.

My Time in Portia I'm picking up animal fece, even going through it to find seeds for plants. I also build a bridge. Won a fishing contest. Ran after chicks. Expanded my land a bit. Helped a colorblind barber. and did a bunch of menial tasks like chopping trees, picking up branches, farming, etc, etc, etc. Not all quite in that other too.

Jenny O'the Woods contract completed.
Made sure to rescue the Claywich merchant asap so he could get back home and sell me his gwent cards. I got rid of the goons guarding the bridge on the way there but was ambushed by bandits on the way back as I was escorting him. The merchant still made it back safe and sound.
I now have enough cards to play the Nilfgaard deck but it's not quite as strong as my Northern Realms one yet. Now heading east and south, toward the bog. Have a few stops along the way though, including one for witcher diagrams. I will also probably do the haunted manor quest but Letho won't be there this time.
I made a couple tweaks to my world state when talking with Voorhis: said I killed Letho and helped Roche rescue Anais (haven't done either in game). I think since will be a somewhat truncated game I won't romance anyone so I can have Ciri show up in B&W instead.
Hmm, probably should have gone to see Keira for her next quest just so I could get her magic lamp. That thing comes in handy.

Swtor I have a difficult time on the Republic side. With the commando, I'm entertained because; Jennifer Hale. That's not to say the story is not good, it's fine but a good VA liven up things quite a bit. Since companion gear does not matter any more, I dressed up the squad in the same outfit. I chose this because it doesn't look painted on. The original armour (quests bestowed) looked sprayed on them. With the M-JK. I'm bored because his VA sounds so bland and light weight. The story is fine but listening to him makes me zzzZZZZzzzz. So I decided I don't want him to dress the same way as the Sith warrior. I saw an outfit that reminds me of the old wuxia films, where heroes and villains were often dressed sombrely and wore those large brim hats; farmer's hat, to hide their identity. So I put him in it and pretend he's a futuristic badass swordsman. I decided not to put the new Imp Agent in a uniform and have her in civvies. I want her to look neat and sharp.

dazk Isn't there a little people icon at the top of the screen? Like three little blokes next to the setting wheels? If it isn't grayed out you should be able to click it and switch out people. Think you should be able to do it while outside in the village, that is not inside a building. If you can't I'm pretty sure it's safe to visit camp, if you just go straight to the village after. Probably best to make a save before you try it though. Or you could listen to Sten and Morrigan and leave them to fend on their own. They'll be fine Thanks Curious Crow I'll check it out, quite possible I have never noticed the icon. I always thought there was a sign outside the Chantry, but obviously mistaken. Sten is just always so antagonistic in his comments it annoys me, I like Morrigan the shrew though, she is my favourite romance for my male Couslands. Re combat I have stopped worrying about them, except for Morrigan for her AoE spells and the occasional heal. Sten becomes really nice, if you get his approval a bit up. I like, how the desigenrs wrote him. The customs and morals of Ferelden are totally alien to him and he is clinging to his Qun believe system for comfort. After you do his quest, he becomes a bit more relaxed, because his personal situation has changed in his favor.
I'm playing Awakening at the moment and I really love Sigrun.

Noxluxe odd you wouldn't go with a Qunari for Inquisition (seeing as Hawke is the obligated human hero in DA2) that way you'd have all races represented in one way or another, unless of course you don't like playing Qunari, in that case disregard my comment
it's what I plan on doing for my Male!Heroes world state anyway Elf in Origins, obligated Human in DA2, Qunari in Inquisition and Dwarf in DA4

Playing "Kingdoms of Amalur:Reckoning" and rocking the Longsword/Chakrams combo as a Might/Sorcery destiny.
Love the whole: **out of mana** "Oh darn." **gets hit, now has mana** "Alright." **Mark of Flame on EVERYONE** -LEVEL UP-
This is an underrated game; at least THQ has the IP, so fates crossed for a sequel.

Been a while since last time I posted here. Since then I completed ME Trilogy re-run (with my canon Sentinel Shep, right before Christmas), got a few games on Steam sale (I finally got both KOTORs, they've been on my wishlist for a while), continued with my mobile gaming (I actually managed to finish all story bits in King's Raid by myself, damn I'm surprised I actually managed to create competent team), all of that while still playing Pokemon Sword and Shield. Ah, yes. Sword and Shield. Because I got Shield version as well. Shhhh, don't judge I'm almost done with Pokedex in both (7 missing in Sword and 14 in Shield) without Global Trade Station and no Link Trades. Which is actually quite amazing. I wouldn't be surprised if I got to 1 Pokemon missing in each game (games' main legendaries) before Pokemon HOME comes out and I can move my them between games. I got a little angry at myself after I realised I have saves of only 2 out of my 4 Pokemon 3DS games, but at least I have save with some event Pokemon, so I'll be able to transfer them soon. They also annouced something unheard of - DLCs. And with how Pokemon games were coming out before, I'm absolutely thrilled they decided to go DLC route this time. True, they cut many Pokemon from initial release for that, but I can understand where they're coming from. Plus there's going to be additional storyline. So all in all I prefer to pay half the price of full game for DLC with new storyline in place of buying the same game with just small tweaks as another installment in the series. It was usually like that in the past, main games in generation, then rehash after a year or so with just small changes. The only time it wasn't like that (or when second batch of games for generation were remakes) was during gen 5, where Black 2 and White 2 were proper continuations of first games' story (another reason why it's my favourite generation, though current gen would be strong contender for that title... if the story was better). Now... back to hunting.

also to add, my Sylvari Guardian in Guild Wars 2 has began her descend into the Order of Whispers, having met her mentor the other day today we went on our first mission to find and rescue the daughter of an influential Minister from pirates said daughter wants asylum in the Order because her daddy is conspiring to overthrow the human Queen...politics, am I right?
also, I feel like I've forgotten to state the name of my Sylvari before she's called Tylaera Everbloom So these guys are the key members of the Order of Whispers, Tylaera's mentor is the Charr male on the left called Tybalt Leftpaw he's very funny, and apparently loves apples
It was really a toss between him and Sieran (a fellow Sylvari) from the Durmand Priory, I also like the guy from the Vigil...but Tybalt and Sieran are just so funny plus Tybalt is going to take me(my character) to have a drinking contest with pirates in the next mission, should be fun no?

Well that's weird because I had his reputation high and had just found his sword and he was being really cranky about helping the villagers at Redcliffe???? Sigrun is one of my favourites and even playing as a Rogue I take her around with me and try to get her as soon as possible. Who do you think are the best companions to have in the group with her, I haven't played Awakenings for ages.

Pillars of Insanity. Still prodding away at the crown and always getting beaten down again and again. Memorable deaths this time around were getting stunlocked by an evil little lizard man, getting ganked by ghouls after getting cocky (and having managed to survive my own tripping of a trap just moments before ) and then getting group killed by a ghoul and a little lizard man when I tried to get them to fight each other but instead got ganged up on. Was considering backing up my save to atleast cut down on endlessly doing the prologue but the little text log in the save folder shamed those idea away for now. Taking a break from fiddling on my own and following a guide. How well I do in following is another matter. But still having fun in my own way.

More jobs for my little builder.
I did some commissions for the townsfolks. Got access to an hazardous area by sparring with a local "ranger" (well more like running around in circle, she as level 25, I was level 15) and cleared the first level of the "dungeon" that area (at level 15, final bosses was level 16, I died twice...combat is a bit clunky). Clearing the dungeon floor gave me a nice coat though.
I had to upgrade my furnace as well, well built an improved one and I technically have 3 furnaces now. But I can make iron bars! Super important.
I also ran after an airship to open gifts with 90% of the town folks (old and young). It was weird, there was also a group photo at the end. Like I said, weird.
There is also some story about a thief in town and fake tax collectors. I kinda like how the storyline isn't just about building stuff for people.
I also have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm going somewhere...I think.

To be honest it never even occurred to me. I don't really recognize the Qunari as one of the playable races. It's just a gimmick in Inquisition. Xenophobia has always been a really distinctive part of the DA setting and I'm pretty resentful of the writers for trying to retcon that away at the expense of their worldbuilding, and for everything that happens to the Inquisitor in that game to randomly happen to a Tal-Vashoth just blows my suspension of disbelief to pieces. Playing the game as an elf feels implausible enough. Besides you don't get to roleplay an actual Qunari, which would have been the main attraction. Just a big dude or lady with horns and no place in society. Yay. An elf, a dwarf and two humans suits me fine. Qunari don't get representation on the continent they're hoping to conquer where they have no official presence. That'll have to wait until a game where it makes more sense. My original plan was to go elf, human and then hardass dwarven enforcer Inquisitor, but messing around in the Josephine thread made me want to romance her properly as a fellow human noble who would complement and not drag her down socially in their 'happily ever after'. A truly Andrestian Trevelyan templar warrior would seem most fitting. Besides, if the fourth game really does feature a lot of spycraft then a dwarven criminal might do better there.

In Uncharted: the Biggest problem with this game still going forward is tat the game is still kinda realistic feeling in combat, its weighty and kind of slow...but there are so many weapons. Its to the point that the puzzle stuff and the actual small stories that go on in between the combat cutscenes are far more enjoyable...and I am not a puzzle person! I constantly need help with it. Still I am having a realtively fun time with the game...I just got done with the boat rider section and am investigating the harbor for a way off the island. Making mocking comments about Elena who I also quite enjoy. Oh it was actually one of the funnest moments in the game when she is jail breaking Nathan right in front of him and the guy doesen't even notice! In BF 2: Took a deeper dive into the campaign. I got to Vardos. And boy I was watching a youtube video on the voice cast of this game and first of all it is funny who reprises their roles for the voices from the movies and who doesen't. And Paul Blackthorne is Hask! I love him...I knew he'd make a good Nazi *cough*. So lets see here what to dig into first...oh right it seems like the tie fighters and fighters has a huge 'collision box' where it seemed I wasn't *that* close to the debris but then explodey. There was also a really frustrating moment where I boarded one of the Rebel Cruisers over Fondor to shoot up its hanger. Died like three times. And its kind of weird how the SP campaign for this game is essentially extended tutorial for the MP... Aside from that its actually really fun. The ground combat is smooth and reactive, Iden is a bad ass, and the space combat still manages to be fun and exciting. But then...I mean I've seen LPs of this game's campaign so I know where this all goes but boy some of the dialogue choices come off as being really badly written, cliche, Iden and the Imperial Forces acting like mustache twirling dark villains...which makes their heal turn a bit weird in hindsight. Hask: See that is why the Rebellion will always lose, even with superior tech they don't have the will to use it! Me: OMG they just blew up the Death Star you idiot, they've already won! Oh and Paul I love ya man but these writers aren't doing you any favors. Admiral Versio: What are the one thing that makes the Rebellion Rebel. Iden: *snarls* Hope. Me: *facepalm* I mean to be fair it was such a great choice making her ultimate antagonist her daddy, and also there are moments where Iden expresses some nuance and understanding...but come on man! That line is just stupid. Its like they have having their cake and eating it to which again makes the heal turn a bit suspect, we'll see how I feel when I get there. Then did some arcade. I did instant action which only seems to be available outside of the Galactic Republic era...so no Rey versus Darth Maul in my future, well if I am playing by myself. But ran through some rounds of arcade trying to still get used to things with the heroes. Played a lot of Rey and am getting more used to her, still that saber rush is stupid as hell though and hard to control but the rest of her regular combat seems to be highly...competent with the basic attacks and blocks. This did lead to the coolest moment with her when I was in Theed and I was being flanked by Clones and had her Saber up in the block position, Rey leading her clone troops into battle...now there is some great fanfiction for you. After this popped into HvV to see how the level system worked and again I get it but because I am testing things out it was annoying to have to switch sides each time a new map was happening. I was doing this just to level up a specific character. Basically got through three rounds and that was also annoying to start so late in the various games...but on the third time I got it and got Rey levelled up to level 2 which unlocked two star cards and gave me the option to unlock one with a skill point. Kinda fun and I can now really see why they don't have you level in arcade because in Arcade they are all unlocked for your kick ass pleasure. After that went back to Arcade to get more used to the heroes. I have gotten through all the lightside heroes and want to be posting my thoughts on them...I'll do Darkside later, from best to worse so far. Obi-Wan: Really like him he seems to have the most utility, at least as far as being a basic good guy...not so sure about HvV but all his power set is good, its good he has so much blocking stamina that it really works in the teamplay and is just all around awesome. Luke: Luke is just all around pretty bad ass and I love how short and efficient his lightsaber strikes are...and his three powers are all hella useful. Rey: Despite having one weak power can't help but really enjoy playing her. She is fun to play and I suspect Insight could be a great power, just need to use it more and her mind tricks can be great crowd control. Anakin: Even with his 4 powers he comes off as being a lesser version of Luke...despite me doing REALLY well with him...wait he gets four powers and no one else does. saandrig explain. Chewie: By far the funnest of the blaster heroes, he kind of comes off as a really powerful sniper with his bowcaster and I really like this two button together ability. Han: Good ginslinger which does really match the combat that this game is going for in its ideal. Lando: Not a lot to say about him honestly. Finn: Support sniper...snipers have very limited utiity in this game it seems and I don't like playing as supports. Yoda:...what he can't block and is kinda lame and useless. Moving on. Leia: By far the worse that stupid blast thing when you are aiming just needs to die in a fire and her blaster is just really weak.

Must admit I'm kind of tempted t opick up BF2 again myself to play aroun din the Arcade and run through the campaign again.

Playing "Kingdoms of Amalur:Reckoning" and rocking the Longsword/Chakrams combo as a Might/Sorcery destiny. Love the whole: **out of mana** "Oh darn." **gets hit, now has mana** "Alright." **Mark of Flame on EVERYONE** -LEVEL UP- This is an underrated game; at least THQ has the IP, so fates crossed for a sequel. what system are you playing on? I heard it was incompatible with anything above Windows 7 (I kinda wanna replay that game one of these days)
It probably falls into the "not supported category" so it probably runs, but if there is anything that doesn't work you are on your own.

Sten is always a bit cranky, when you do something, that hasn't anything to do with the Blight. I'm just playing DAA for the first time, but Sigrun and Nathaniel have a great chemistry.
