That hair is still awful. Nope. Already told you. The beard successfully balances it out and Geralt is totally pulling it off. And that's all there is to say on the matter. Any thoughts you might have that he looks like a needy old dude trying to be Hip and Cool with a mop on his head and tight leather pants and cool guy-poses are objectively wrong, and you can just strike them from your mind. In fact, you should be ashamed of yourself for doubting the authenticity of his aesthetic. Geralt keeps it real, there isn't a lick of vanity in him. Floppy, feathery locks are important for... dodging projectile attacks. You see, if someone goes for a headshot the hair is so big and wavy and all over the place that the attacker can't possibly get a bead on where his actual head begins, and end up nailing air nine out of ten times. It's been tested. Why can't he just deflect such attacks with his witcher reflexes, you ask? That's just a myth. Witchers are actually notoriously susceptible to crossbow bolts, so you can probably see that his extra defensive measure is a very shrewd tactic. Nice argument but no it's still awful!!!!

Arthur helped a French artist sneak on to a boat dressed as a woman. Then Dutch “had a plan” to rob the post office. Everything went brilliantly, of course and we ended up shooting our way out of Saint Denis. Afterwards, Arthur received a letter from the mayor and, well, long story short, ended up beating the crap out of an art critic to ensure he reviewed fake paintings as originals for the mayors new museum. I can’t imagine a better use of my time,

Did some commando, on the last planet of her class quests. In the midst of disabling some consoles (in the open) for a quest, another player ran in and destroyed it. It's fortunate there're a lot more consoles scattered around and that there're no other players to compete. Still, he was rude. He knew my target was that console, I was fighting the mobs near it, and could have gone off to look for others but he took it anyway. More often than not nowadays, I'll head straight to destroy the objective and then deal with the mobs but sometimes, the game refuses to let you get the objective until the mobs are dealt with. This is stupid considering that not all players are courteous. Someone could just run in, destroy it and you're left waiting for a respawn if there're not enough to go around.
Anyway, I became annoyed so I switched to my SW who's on Onderon. I went datacron hunting. The first one took about eight to ten attempts because it required speeder jumping. A fall means a death. Fortunately, fall dmg does not require any repairs to gear. The video guide said to use the smallest speeder but I used the jetpack as I'm more comfortable with it. For the last jump, the guide said to aim for the slightly jutting rock face below the platform; the jump is far but I ended up on the platform anyway with one attempt.
My SI will do the second datacron for this planet because it's a trapped datacron. Most call it the Indiana Jones datacron. The moment you get it, you have to run for the entrance, dodging traps along the way. The player has to memorise the patterns or they would die. However, a tip in the comments suggested using the SI's phasewalk. Drop the node at the spike traps, grab the datacron and port back to the node. The player would have plenty of time and only one obstacle to get through to the entrance.
Onderon story done, the SW went to Mek Sha. As before, I went datacron hunting before doing the story. The first one is very time consuming and very annoying. It requires the player to ride a moving platform, drop down to parked shuttles and do jumps. A fall means death and everything has to be repeated. This reminds me of the moving platform jumping at Nar Shaddar except that this one could make a player rage ten times worse.
The guide showed a quicker way. However, this involves skipping onto the moving platform and falling. I tried this ten over times to no avail. I decided to look at the comments for tips. There were a few. Some said it's easier to do it on the Republic side; just jump over a fence and keep dropping down behind a signboard till you get to the ledge with the datacron. I don't have a Rep who has gone through KotfT and Kotet. It'll be weeks before a rep toon reaches Mek Sha. Then I spotted a suggestion which I used. It took less than five minutes for me to get to the datacron.
The second datacron was much simpler. I fell during the second jump but fortunately, it's easy to get back on the path. Judicious jumping saw me through the rest. The trick is to disable quick run for the jumps. This took me slightly more than five minutes.

Had a lovely time finishing up in The Witcher 3. Even on Death March difficulty, min-maxing with alchemy and fast attack damage + critical and Igni's melt armor talents makes the game way too easy. Everything's armor is gone in the blink of an eye, and you have insane damage bonuses to everything and ridiculous passive healing with oils, mutagens and decoctions. Next playthrough I'll have to figure out a way to keep things more challenging. Maybe keeping potions and oils on the "enhanced" level throughout and sticking to only one decoction at a time. I'll still be putting a heavy emphasis on alchemy since it'll be my "Geralt ends up as an expert winemaker" run, though. "So, Eredin. I hear you've been bothering my little girl..."
I planned for this playthrough to be the epic love story of Geralt and Triss, to honor her prominence in the first two games. Kinda lost heart in it towards the end though, and it turned out that what I thought was the point of no return with her - the conversation in Novigrad about their future - was pure railroading instead, and there was no going back. So yay for them. I still think they're better together, but since their plans to move to Kovir fit rather awkwardly with the DLC narratives and I always feel too guilty to indulge with the temporary DLC love interests when Geralt is already hitched, I've decided to cut this playthrough short with the end of the main game. Next time he'll end up free as a bird, and will be able to sample both Shani and the local girls of Beauclair without reservation. That'll be fun. Also my first time seeing Empress Cirilla ride off to claim her birthright. I kinda like this ending for her. She's too good to spend her life haunting the backwoods killing pests like her daddy. I'll write her from Kovir every once in a while. And remind her to keep a pyre handy in case Phillipa tries something.

I've beaten myself up repeatedly by trying to suffer through Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen...... god is this game so god damned awful. No wonder it could only manage a small cult following. It's the epitome of lazy gameplay and difficulty design in almost every respect.

And what's worse, the story seems to be bareboned and poorly told so there is little reason to why I should suffer through.

I managed to beat the game on NG+ as a full magick build strider, whose main damage attribute is strength, enquiped with only gold dragonforged rusted daggers and bow. I suspect that you went on BBI with low level character and that is bad if you play this game for the first time. Fast travel is non existent until you get portcrystals, but they are limited to max 8 so you need to place them wisely. Story isn't good at all, but combat is great ant that is all this game is about. Save system is limited to only one regular save slot wich autosaves whenever you fast travel and can be saved manually; there is also chekpoint save slot wich is saved every time you sleep in the inn and TBH that is all you need for this type of game.

I stayed away from the island. It's the bandit camps and now direwolves that spawn enemies that decimate a level 23 group. I am aware of how the save system works, it just sucks really. I'd prefer either a better autosave or free save. There is no respawn after death (mostly) so this save system is a relic of a past better left in the past. And the story bit disappoints me... I may just give up then. Combat is never enough for me. I need either great lore, environmental story telling, or characters to keep going at a game. This has none of that so far and if it doesn't improve, there is no point for me to play.

Don't expect good stories from Capcom. What you get from them is great gameplay and polish. I was personally impressed with their first outing in this genre. The world is fairly interesting, loot is fun and the combat abilities are great. Controls are excellent, even on PC. It's mostly an action game in an open world, not an RPG. I also use a couple mods on PC, namely one that doesn't reduce stamina when you run, which was a retarded design choice.

Eh, Capcom has DMC and Resident Evil, both franchises have at least one game with either a great story, great characters, or just a fantastic atmosphere. I just expected more RPG and story given people always held up DD against Dark Souls, Dragon Age, and Skyrim. It had to have something that put it on that level but I'm just not seeing it.

Found my first attempt at a run in Dragon's Dogma to be pretty awful. Granted I was also having screen problems being unable to read the item descriptions without being few inches away from the screen and squinting. But the combat also wrecked me pretty bad and got really petty at the game about it. Second attempt a few years later was a lot better. Figured kinda what I was supposed to be doing combat wise and that there is a path to follow, but stray and you'll be absolutely destroyed. Think it got quite better once in the city and having gained some more skills. Still a lot of dying but not that sense of that aint fair. And then the gratification once I got stronger that my old foes. Hohoho. So totally feel you but at the same time think it's an alright game. --- Found this lil cutie in Shadow of War. Come to papa. Wasn't really expecting meeting him since I thought we went off into the ass end of nowhere, but happy we did. Alas Talion once again looses the chance of being referenced by name from me. It's all stinky ranger from here on. Did three main quests today. Couple of Celembrimbidor skill tests and opened two doors with the power of poetry. Noice. Not sure if I like or dislike this game. Sometimes I'm having fun, sometimes I want to yeet it into a volcano. These are hard times. Started a new game in Divine Divinity 2 because too lazy to hunt down my save. Made it to Fort Joy before turning into an utter mess of indecision so spent the time going between getting murdered in combat because I'm trash and shouting at the character creator since I'm even more trash. Good times.

So lets see here...BF2.. for some reason.
New event was rather interesting in it really lowered the cost of the 'Reinforcements' so I got a chance to do a little experimenting.
And since no one was really that interested it seems in playing Galactic Assault and I was forced to go into Supremacy....which I am not super annoyed at Supremacy because those matches can just go on and on and the longer it goes the more you risk your hard work being all for naught when you loose it. It was also the tale of perfect defense.
Three Supremacy Matches in total! Three.
And well the first match is the one I got to experiment with all three of the clone era reinforcements...and well the Arc Trooper and jump trooper suck...but both the two enforcers are actually a lot of fun to play. I mean the BPs were so low for them that it was impossible to not play them. And I got utterly robbed with Obi-Wan too because I was running full out with a defensive dash thing...and ran right into a wall. So yeah that was fun.
But then I did have my best Supremacy match ever on Ajon Koss...despite the loss...well actually the first and third were the 'best' in some way. First time I got like 88 eliminations and the third time...welll...
It is actually interesting how much heroes can really improve your fortunes if you play them for a while. I actually got two extended times with BB, got a 9 kill streak going with him and I love BB...just sneaking up ad cable spinning a group of badguys or just charging at them. So that was quite nice. Then I actually got the chance to play Rey in Supremacy too! Didn't do quite as well but I did confirm that her Insight she can give her a smorgesborg of Battlepoints. And well it took us 3 attempts on the last one...and we lost.

I went with a cute little rogue at first, but it seemed like the sorceress' were having all the fun. So I turned my sorceress pawn into my player character and went through with 1 mage and 3 sorceress. I got to level 100 by the finish. Yesterday I started on Assassins Creed Syndicate (because it was free) I nearly quit that when I realised there is only one save and I couldn't go back and redo something. I got to the Evie bit and thought Oh No, more sneaking. But I am warming to Evie and am now in London. Not really sure what I'm meant to do next, but I'm sure I'll work it out.

Had a good time with 80 Days while RDR2 was reinstalling. And for once Phileas Fogg didn't die of malaria stuck on the African coast while his broke valet was waiting for a bank loan to come through. It's a great game, you really regret having to hurry around the globe instead of taking your time seeing everything and visiting everywhere. Politics, pseudo-history, steampunk, comedy and a bit of lighthearted romance... I've never played a game that felt so much like an interactive adventure novel. And Passpartout is a joy to roleplay. Overworked but faithful valet, stubbornly maintaining the stiff upper lip? Upper-class twit with the heart of a daring adventurer? Cunning and suave rogue? Shameless, clueless tourist, gaping at one wonder after another? He's equally lovable no matter what.

Sounds a lot like how NFS Hea tworks in tha tthe moe ryo urac ea tnight the moe rrep yo ucan earn and leve lu pfaster but the longe ran dmoe ryo urqac ea tnigh tthe moer the police aer going t orty t oclamp down on you.

--- I was the same. Probably my least favourite of all the AC games but I liked Evie, must give it another go at some stage, I think the combat put me off when I first played it as it was very different from previous AC games and the stupi carriage quests were often rage inducing. Re saves I remember being able to go back and do things again mainly because of bugs, do you mean that there are just auto-saves at the start of quests etc?

Re saves I remember being able to go back and do things again mainly because of bugs, do you mean that there are just auto-saves at the start of quests etc? I mean there doesn't seem to be any save options, other than the auto save. No quick save, no manual save. I'm not sure if it was a BUG, or if she cheated, but Evie bet me in the race to the sync point, so I wanted to try again and there are no load game options at all. This is all I see in the main menu.

Back to the mainland to see a sorceress about a magic lamp. Lifted the curse on Fyke Isle - poor Graham. I noticed in my previous game that where ghosties are present a lamp icon appears on the map. However, there was one icon in the tower I couldn't clear but it disappeared after the curse was lifted. Now of course Keira has one more thing she wants me to do.
Made it to Byways to see about a 'monster'. Since I didn't tell the villagers the Nilfies hired me first, I got double paid for that job.
Just reached level 76 so I can now wear upgraded Cat gear once I get it crafted. One more thing to do at Crow's Perch whenever I finally make it there (it's getting to be a rather long list).
