Went back to old faithful ps4, after a long time tryst with the new laptop Since everyone is basically stuck in their houses, I figured that I'd boot up ACO to at least pretend I was somewhere else . After an epic button mashing because I had forgotten what did what, and a few embarrasing stupid deaths, I finally figured out (thanks to the wisdom of the internets), where the stupid artist was hiding in the stupid cave, after I had only potential eradicated the entire species of bears in the universe . Also finally finished off those legendary animal things, which were driving me nuts because I hadn't done any of them. I also changed the Adrestia's crew outfit to the huntress one, and then I heard some very manly sounding grunting. Much confusion, but who am I to judge Next - finishing of Xenia's treasure hunting.

In BF 2...
Something truly weird happened to me today that gives me some pause. I mean it does not matter but it certainly is...interesting. So I logged into the game and started to play some Supremacy...then Galactic Assault. Every single special weekend it seems they skip Co Op so it gives me the opportunity to just play the more competitive side, so that is what I tend to do to actually 'play the events' as you will. And again didn't do too stellar, though I was able to play Dooku a bit. I think I actually won the final round I played of GA which was a nice change of pace. Oh though it was funny first round of Supremacy I came right in when the enemy was loading the transports to board our Seppy ship. It was a bit of a madhouse but I gunned down the first three clone boys that came after me just out of nowhere taking fire like a boss. I did die though but it was still glorious.
So I think jumped over to co op as I do and I was able to play Rey...but I noticed something weird. At first I thought it was a typo or just me not seeing things properly with my poor eyesight. But as I squinted sure enough...Rey was knocked down to about level 73...I was able to get her up to 77. Played a few more rounds and actually got a 35 kill streak going with her sadly in a loosing effort though. Got back up to level 77 and then I just had to see if it did Obi-Wan dirty like that...and it did. So weird.

Finished the GARM facility in Deus Ex Mankind Divided. (Ghost)
Separate note: taking a shot at some gaming on Linux. Threw together a dedicated PC from old parts I had lying around. Core i5-4590 + RX 470. Settled on the Manjaro linux distro. Tried Saints Row Gat Out of Hell, which isn't the most optimized game, even on Windows, but it has a dedicated Linux port and isn't too large of a download (about 6 GB). Texture stream-in was very bad - stuttered like hell - but once a vicinity had loaded, it was a solid 60fps at 1080p Low settings. Problem is, SR GooH, like SR4 and to a lesser extent SR3, is focused on movement, so the experience wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great either.

So Alexios is basically unstoppable with at least 60% resistance to everything, almost 200% Ignore Half Damage and 180% Armour. He kills everything even a leader and his group of guards in Megaris without taking any damage, with 260% Warrior damage, +15% Warrior Abilities, Melee attack applies top nearby enemies, 200% flame damage, +50% Burn rate and Flame damage applies to nearby enemies and also +30% with spears. Talk about overkill You can tone that down, having 200% works exactly as having 100%.

Can't check right now but both my spears and Bow have flame damage I think, I'll check tomorrow.

Witcher 3 Have been wrapping up quest lines in preparation for the final battle with the Wild Hunt. Helped Ciri stop in on a couple of old friends (and one old enemy). Even helped steal some horses. Then picked up the Mastercrafted Wolven Armour and Swords before heading back to Novigrad. Had a bit of a facepalm moment when Triss and Yen propositions Geralt for a threesome. This PT has been running for quite a while, and I'd completely forgotten that he'd slept with both of them. Now he'll end up alone at his vineyard, but that's fine.

tried to finish up another episode of the Living Story for GW2...turns out that for this specific mission you need two or more people (which kinda sucks since I tend to play alone) lemme set the scene yeah? so I have to go into this underground catacomb to power up an ancient sword that may or may not stop ghosts from spawning everywhere everything's peachy...but then some ghosts decided to possess a statue! (getting Meredith end fight vibes here), and one annoying npc keeps spawning that instantly heals the damage I try to carve away from that blighted statue as the accompanying npc's deal with nearby other enemies that spawn needless to say I kinda rage-quit on this part may have to set aside my pride a bit tomorrow and ask some people to help me with it
it also involved a lot of traveling around...which also sucked...because it involved waiting...and running I'm rambling...sorry...it's a good episode, but I'm just gonna think a bit more on a new character (still on the fence between an engineer or guardian) on a better note...I currently have 72% map completion on my Necromancer so slowly getting to the 100% mark

I usually stand in the archway on the opposite side of the statue and only move to the statue to deal damage to it when Rytlock does so/says to do so.

also got some fun items that according to the description require a clay pot and stuff (sounds like some sort of plant to me) can't wait to see what that turns out to be
and another question...between guardian and engineer, which one would you recommend for a casual player like myself?
I already have guardian figured out quite well, so wouldn't mind having a bit of a more challenging class...kinda want to try getting one for each armor class

dazk Just regular new game, nightmare because I hate myself. Not a fan of New Game+, since I like the low level grind. No skin off my nose if others enjoy it and I approve of having the option. Not really planning on a full run though, just felt a bit like sneaking around. Elpenor is my favorite in this game, especially since he's so slimy and snaky. Also didn't help that I had instant dislike for the mom character my first run, so when he was like : How about you....kill your mom?! I was like YES. But there was no option. As for what done today. Yakuza Kiwami 2- Babysitting Simulator. So got 90+ on Kiryu's song in the first go. Or the second. It was at least earlier than expected while being positive I was nowhere close. So yay! Then Haruka's gambling side came out. First she wanted to play Koi, which I did last run so was pretty chill since I had the lucky card and that's just easy mode from there. Then Blackjack, which she even gave me a cheat amulet for so that was the smoothest of sailings. Texas Hold'em was also on the list. Playing poker is pretty tough when you can't be arsed to learn the rules. Took way to many tries but eventually just ended up using my four cheat cards and then pretty much just raising and calling the other players cowards in my mind. Final card game was Oichio Kabu and I have no idea what happened there, but once again had a helper item so it went past quick. Just gonna say thank the maker for the ingame cheat items. Then it was just full blown courses at the local restaurants. I'm starting to think Haruka has a tapeworm, since she's always starving even if she's constantly gobbling down food. Was very amused that she did ask to go to the drug store because her tummy hurt. O really? Solution was of course the drug that empties the hunger meter so... Either way, now I'm EX ranked at her heart meter and she's blissfully quiet when out on walks. So that's fantastic. Wrapped up the Majima Construction story main mission. Getting Mutoh the stud muffin was a major highlight. But the rest of the cutscenes were fun too. Minigame, not as much. Was a bit shocked that I made it through the last level in one go, since I did struggle at the others and saw that it was supposedly extra hard. Doubt I'll bother with the side missions though. Also did a bunch of Colosseum matches. Battle royale is so much fun. The newly added tigers less so, but what can you do. But have done 30 matches now, so the completion list is happy. Granted I do need to grind for a few hours to be allowed to attempt the final two events but...not today. Ended up wrapping the dart and golf objectives on the completion list instead. Golf was mostly just massive luck and some confusion. Dart turned into kinda maybe skill since by the end I managed to defeat 10 rivals at 301, mostly just needing two rounds. So that was nice. Ended the game where I started, Karaoke. Got 90 score at a couple of songs, except I'd already gotten that score so...but the songs were fun. Other songs a bit less so, since I get so nervous and end up loosing the beat. And the girls in this game are mean if you aren't scoring perfect, but clapping along when you're alone is weird... Maybe better luck tomorrow. Did end up singing some sad songs with Majima, which was nice in a bittersweet way. All in all it was a really fun session.

LOL obviously, no way I'd ever attempt Nightmare!!!!! I like NG+ simply cause I get to keep all my goodies!!!!! I do actually miss the sneaking around, hard to do that when you keep setting everything on fire!!!!!!! This is the first time I have ever played an AC game by just walking in and killing everything, it feels kind of wrong and strange but it is fun.

Nothing special is needed for that mission boss, except maybe some CC if you really want to keep the healers at the back of the room. On your Reaper that would be greatsword #5. The fight works in cycle. The statue is even invulnerable until Rytlock charge his sword by killing the other ghosts that shows up and remove the buff (icon on its healthbar). Killing the healers shouldn't take that much time, just focus on them when they spawn (the map should even ping you about it) while the NPCs deal with the rest. Once Rytlock says his sword is charged, rush to the statue and DPS like mad (for a Reaper that means going into shroud and using skill #4 by the way). Once the buff is back go back at the room entrance to kill the healers. Rince and repeat. If you want to speed faster across the room, Reaper shroud skill #2 move you forward (do not use near a ledge). The fun items are to make Mawdrey (wiki link as the episodes just gives you things and doesn't really tell you what to do with them). Guardian vs Engineer depends what content you'll be doing and how you build them. Engineer isn't that bad on open world maps, but some story mission boss fights are going to be long and painful if you aren't a "pro" with the class (I'm speaking by experience I played with one all the way to Path of Fire and with another one is somewhere in LS2). They also don't have super long attacks, unless you go Holosmith, but that spec is made of very thin glass (super fun to play if you like holograms, but don't get hit...ever).

Triss and Yen propositions Geralt for a threesome. Wait....what? How does this happen? Just in case; If Geralt has sex with Triss in the lighthouse and Yen both on the unicorn and at Kaer Morhen, they obviously girl-talk it out afterwards. They come to the conclusion that they've been played by a playa and decide to prank him back.
The 'threesome' does not end up being awesome for our Witcher.

In BF 2...
So I fixed my problem with an amazing flurry of blaster fire and quite a bit of luck. Got Obi-wan back up to 77, will certainly be something to watch as I move forward. Of course at this point I wanted to jump off but did the usual 'one last victory' thing I usually do on the weekends when I want to jump off and go do something else...and then my string of like 3 or 4 victories was broken by 3 or 4 defeats. Man it just seems of late they just throw a LOT of enemies at you. I don't know the algorithm it uses to determine what does what for the co op matches but MAN there are times where it just throws a seemingly endless wave of badguys it can while you have to bear down...and die. Though did play Anakin and got 2 levels with him too...but I did get it eventually.
In Uncharted 2...
Its kind of an interesting dichotomy with this series sometimes the climbable surfaces usually are super obvious but then they...aren't. I was still stuck on the same door as last time and I insisted that the answer to it was one way...and it wasn't. It finally gave me the hint 'climb the pillar' I was like 'what pillar there is no pillar'. Finally after dying once because I went too far and obviously no pillars I went to the object that could only be described as...charitably...a pillar...and sure enough the surface was climable. Got through the rest of the level just fine but boy it was a long one. Also took 3 RPGs to defeat those big mini gun guys but then I got the minigun.
In FO NV: Haven't actually played the game but I am watching a Lets Play of it right now.

dazk Just regular new game, nightmare because I hate myself. I think that is my biggest problem with Odyssey is that I don't feel like I am really playing an Assassin's Creed game, but instead a Ubisoft Adventure game since it feels to me so much all of their other products now. I am hoping the next one goes back a little more to that feeling of being different, but I highly doubt it.

Talk about overkill You can tone that down, having 200% works exactly as having 100%. So just checked my stats and will reduce the ignore half damage (thanks), my flame damage is actually 100% but the build up is 160%, what even is the build-up and can I reduce that? Only the "Chance to ignore half damage" should be at 100% tops, since it's the "chance" of it triggering.
Fire damage, fire buildup, etc "multipliers" are fine to be as high as possible above 100%. The "fire build up" is how much a single hit of your fire weapon brings the target to catching fire (the circle above their heads with the fire icon that fills up until the fire triggers). The "build up" is mostly a "meh" stat since it helps trigger the fire DoT (damage over time), but doesn't affect the direct fire damage you deal anyway with each hit. So basically Fire Damage>Fire Build up. If you don't rely on the fire ticking on enemies, you don't need "fire build up" at all. With that said, I did use a fire build for Alexios with maxed Fire build up, extra Fire DoT duration and extra DoT tick rate (about 3-4 fire ticks per second for about 50+ seconds duration). It was fun because it put almost everything (except bosses and some Mercs) on fire with a single hit/arrow and then I could just walk around, doing nothing while watching the fire panic on a dozen enemies as their health moved down rapidly.

AC Origins
So I forgot with dual wield, I have no shield. No shield, no block. Luckily I didn't die while facing off against a shield opponent. I settled for dodging around as fast as I could. The thing, the opponent also dodges as fast. Dodging does not help when there's hardly any space to move. I can parry but sometimes this doesn't work.
I killed one of the guys that was hunting Aya and I ended up with a phylakes? I supposed it's a mercenary. I found the contract on the guy who's level 20. Bayek was 23 which was why I felt confident to confront him. A few soldiers also jumped into the fight because I attacked the guy out in the open. The next one is level 40 so I'm making dang sure I don't see him. Hopefully he'll wander the high level zones.
Finally figured out that places with the red arrows just meant difficulty. If it says outpost or fort, it's military. If it says otherwise, it's bandits. I still can't tell them apart on the animals but if an alarm flashed when I ride close, I just attack straight away.
I also found mob behaviour an annoyance sometimes when I went hunting. If I see a shield guy, I try to take them out with arrows. But more often than not, they huddle beneath a tent or shelter and refused to move when they're on the alert. So I had to climb down for a confrontation.

I see, I'll make a memo out of the tips you gave and see how it goes, thanks Edit: thanks again, your tips worked like a charm
as for class content, I mainly want to focus on PVE with story content and living story
I'd also solo dungeons if that was a possibility, which I know some people do but I'm terrible at builds so I kinda skip over those kinda makes it weird going into the last story missing and Destiny's Edge being all "we're friends again btw" and I'm like "err...good for you?"
(dunno why they don't implement the story portions of the dungeons into the main story like they did with the last one but eh *shrug*)
and not getting hit isn't a possibility for me even when I dodge I end up getting hit again and again...so yeah, not an option how's thief for story mission bosses? (barring that I might redo a ranger)
