Immortals Fenyx Rising Added a few more hours to my playtime and pushed main story a bit. A tiny, tiny bit. I was getting distracted by side stuff and exploring. Like in most games, the more I upgraded explorer-related stuff, the more enjoyable it became. Also surprisingly, I grew to really like mid-air combat, to the point where weapon set focusing on it became my go-to. Unfortunately game crashes from time to time. Haven't lost a lot of progress because of those, but my playthrough is still young...

A bit of a semi-retro throwback... Command & Conquer, Red Alert 3For those who don't know, a synopsis: Imagine if someone went back in time and prevented Hitler from being born? Congratulations, instead of the Nazis taking over Germany and then attempting to conquer the world, Russia can do it now! Well, instead of having to defeat fascism, then communism; now the free world has to defeat communism, then communism AGAIN only they have giant zeppelins, tesla coils, crazy snipers, and bears. At least we have time-travel, weaponized light, and Tanya (tank-tops, one-liners, and enough C4 to make a Marine blush). Basically, it's WW2 with the Allies (United States, Great Britain, France, Germany, Korea, etc.) VS the Soviets (Russia, Iraq, Libya, China, etc.) It can vary based on which game/timeline you go with, but that's the gist of it, with a few major differences. Albert Einstein is key to the Allies' technological edge, and gameplay-wise it is a test of quality-VS- quantity; Allies are blue, Soviets are red. Anyway, the third installment (circa 2008-2009), now has the Empire of the Rising Sun, because time-travel shenanigans, AGAIN. Picture giant robots, transforming mecha, ninjas, and psychic schoolgirls. Yeah. So now it's a three-way-war between the Allies, Soviets, and Imperials. So, in brief terms, the three different factions have "their" prime unit type, i.e. the realm of war that they have the edge. Soviets run on land. Imperials dominate at sea. Allies rule the skies. That isn't to say that you can't have a strong air-force playing as the Soviets, or that the Allies can't muster mighty land units, but I digress. ------------- A 4-player skirmish, me and one AI ally VS two AI players, a 2-vs-2. My favorite faction is the Allies (naturally), and I'm facing off against an Imperial team. I'm going for my hybrid-strategy of turtle/strike-team, where I have a nigh-impenetrable base and a crack-squad of high-powered units. Either I use my Chronosphere (lets you teleport units anywhere on the map) to get some Mirage Tanks (cloaking vehicles that utilize the aforementioned weaponized light) or, if I can get to the maximum tech level, Harbinger Gunships (massive, heavily-armored bombers that carry both high-powered chain-guns and "Collider" cannons). I have several Airbases to construct aircraft, and an Armor Facility to construct a team of Mirage Tanks; my Chronosphere is fully-charged, and my Proton Collider (Allies' Ultimate Weapon) is going to be ready in 2 minutes. What I didn't plan for was six Imperial Giga-Fortresses to decimate 85% of my base in 30 seconds. So now I'm down to a single Ore Refinery, two Power Plants, a Multigunner Turret, and an Outpost. I have NO production capability. I cannot build any units, and if I lose these last few structures, I'm defeated. I do have a single Harbinger Gunship with full veterancy, and three Apollo Fighters. Thankfully, the H.G.'s repair naturally, and with full veterancy that repair rate is increased, so I can take some hits... But boy howdy is this suddenly more difficult. My tiny "base" is well-hidden, but as mentioned, I have my few units, and that's it. A tense battle of attrition ensues, with me carefully bombarding the enemy Generators to shut down their production capability. Because I've lost my Construction Yard, I no longer have access to my special abilities; no Cryoblasts or Time Bombs for me. My ally has built several Aircraft Carriers, and is using their EMP Missile liberally, so that does buy me some breathing room to rain down fire from on high, and eventually we take out one Imperial team. At this point, it's just a matter of circumventing their air defenses so I can take out the remaining Imperial Docks. Victory.

Yeah I already had Red Alert 3but I think i twas last year I bouight the whole series on Origin. I ,haven' thad a proper chance to pla ythem though yet. But I must admit Tim does a grea tjob playing the villain here but then give nhow he did equally as good a job as Arl Howe in DAO I'm not surprised.

Yeah I heard the game has a tendency to crash hopefully it'ssomething that can be patched nice to see you've found your wings though.I get the feeling I'll enjoy the flying part. Need to drink some Red Bull I think. Yeah, once you upgrade skills related to it and stamina, flying gets really enjoyable. One of my favourite parts about this game, no doubt. Well, technically you have stamina potions, so they can count as Red Bull

One of the better depictions of a winter environment I've seen in a game. Finally tracking down the legendary gunmen. Shoulda done this way sooner as you get some unique weapons. Halfway through the story and I'm at 76 hours playtime. Needless to say I get distracted a bit.

In Madden: So my gimmick for today was 'don't play games for as long as people keep getting hurt.' And well people kept getting hurt . First it was De Greene then Sanders and then Anderson so I was like down to my third string running back. I got in four games. The first one for the life of me I cannot remember who I am playing but this time it was a mirror image of my last one. Touch and go game with not a lot of offense and a really close game but then exploded in the fourth because of my defense doing a lot of turnovers. Actually outscored the last game and put up 31 points. Don't remember too many of the details sadly but here you go...or just getting really mixed up in my head as usual. Second game though was gainst the Raiders and may've been like my largest blowout ever. Certainly on All Pro difficulty. Anderson had 4 TDs in the game I think Felton had 5 maybe 6, finally got my running game going, only for Anderson to hurt himself but Myers and Sharpe also did quite well. Ended up winning 87-14 and 7 of those 14 points for the Raiders came on the final drive of the game, last play even. Just threw a pick towards the end of the game. I do believe Felton did rush for 7 times for 77 yards. Thomas had 9 catches for over 90 yards. Then against the Giants well down to my third string back and not much of a runner so it was a lot of passing ad then Felton did a lot of running too. Key plays for him on 3rd and 4th down that he converted with his feet. Myers had a good game but Smith did not in his return with a couple of drops and just a bad game back from his injury. Ended up winning 57-26. Felton ran the ball 9 more times. I also discovered a QB running play in this from the shotgun, read option. It was quite accidental because I saw it in the play book and was curious about it because it looked like a running play...and it was but the QB kept it and I was like 'oh crap' and got stuffed. But I tried the play again knowing what it was and to much better results and ran it a couple more times throughout the next couple of games. Final game was against the Chargers again and this time Felton did a tremendous job picking up a 150 plus QB rating, and 4 TDs through the air. And a good group on the ground I do believe too. Smith did a lot better in this game making at least 6 catches, only like 50 yards or so but that was because I kept using him on slants and in the redzone. But Myers went off in this game for 11 catches and 134 yards and a couple TDs. Sharpe had 6 catches as well in the game and I had to do a last second field goal to win the game capping off a fourth quarter come back. They had a chance for a final drive but couldn't tie it. Trends for the season is rather interesting with all the injuries too maybe helping enforce them but right now Myers is leading the way with 50 plus catches and I think about 12 TDs. Sharpe however has fewer catches but way more yards like over 1000. Felton is my best runner ironically enough at 357 yards or so, I mean I know he is mobile but I did not intend for him to be that mobile lol. Also has blown away al the 'rookie' records so far. Already has eclpsed his season goal with 30 TDs...and is like already over 3000 yards.

Echoes of the Fey, Episode 2 So, I meant to play through so I could get some sweet Heremon action, only for me to get tempted by the slightly insane semi-evil priest dude. So I saved at the branch point between the two of them and chased him right up his robes. Rawr. This nets you slightly more information and a cool new outfit. I got to run around looking like I was going to a Burlesque event for the rest of the game. Unfortunately, it really leaves the ending unchanged. Kat your lesbian Ex gets a bunch of jealous dialogue, which honestly is pretty hypocritical considering she's engaged to another woman. There is a slight difference in the end game slides. And I'm unsure, cuz I was doing a lot of Auto skipping, but maybe going after the priest causes other events to fail. Additionally, this romance can't continue into the next episode- he was arrested and taken to another country OR thrown through a portal so...Considering I don't think you are allowed to continue anything with either romantic option from Episode 1, I have to wonder if there are "true romances" and everything else just suddenly ends. Eduardo ending isnt even explained, he's even in the same town even. I guess you quietly end from the awkwardness between episodes. The art has become neutral to me, and the annoying voice of the PC has gotten less annoying? or maybe it's all the auto skipping I got to do. Okay, next time I am totally smooching my detective doctor partner. Muah muah.

Tried out Throt the unclean and Sis of Twilight with the New TW WH II DLC The twisted and the twilight. I think I played the frack out of the game overall and I probably had enough of it. So I didn't really fancy it so much.
1. Throt is like Ikit Claw, but with biolab instead. I probably allows for some neat builds but I'm not really much into classic Skaven gameplay it is quite busy job handling the routing and rallying. Ikit is different because he can churn out so much dakka before anyone can rout. Well, I played a new Ikit campaign later, too and had quite the tight battles with him at the start. Throt. Right. Skaven get new monsters grown from Clan Moulder's vats. Better rat ogres, wolfrats (really nice), packmaster hero, broodhorrors and I probably forgot one. Already saw Legend of TW make doom stacks with brood horrors and beat the chaos invasion (which is more stacks now) so it's definitely viable. Given that Clan Moulder is up in north and first to fight chaos invasion I suspended that campaign to try Twilight Sisters
2. The sisters are more of story driven campaign. New regions were added to game. (One wonders if they planned that from start. The inaccessile region near Hag Hall is now Witchforest, the starting region. Your task is to heal the magic forests which will heal the Oak of Ages. You don't get cities, only the forest settlements each (large one), anything you take over is only outpost with max 1 building. Can't hold that against enemies. So you ally up or raze. Each enemy settlement hurts forest, allied ones heal. Special missions pop up that give boosts. You also get the usual LL quests. Then you can travel betwenn forests via worldroots every 10 turns. Along come new wood elf units. Is like witch elves but with more clothes. stag cavalry and monster infantry (zoats). Sisters are like split personality. And free gear every 10 turns with upgrades in between. I stopped that campaign after traveling to world root in Alarielles region but the incident was already resolved. then I didn't want to ship back for a dozen turns and had forgotten to make a save to reroll to. Well I had but did long story battle and couldnt be arsed to do it again.
Overall I think it's a neat change in mechanics especially if you never play Ikit Claw before.

I bought Phoenix Point: Year One Edition and I've been playing all weekend pretty much.
How this game's existence has eluded me until last saturday is absolutely beyond me. This is completely up my alley. That YouTube and Steam never figured this out kinda baffles me. ChristopherOdd has even played this and I'm subscribed to him, never popped up in my suggestions. Amazing.
XCOM2 on steroids. Yes, yes, yes please.

Autumn have almost ended in Mineral Town. I've finally put together the money for a cow, a rabbit and many kitchen stuff. But I have only the ability to make pop corn. Just as in RL with my new microonde (I'm more for traditional owen...). Helped the penitent guy to find a work in the winery (and maybe got the blessings of the town priest, since probably he was tired of having the guy at every hour depressed in the church) and got to learn more about the other townspeople. It was my farmer birthday, and even Kai, the summer barista send a letter. Ok, maybe I can give him a pineapple or two next year...

Immortals Fenyx Rising I focused more on side stuff this time around, mostly completing some heroic tasks. I spent way too much time looking for one last griffin to kill, only to find it after I gave up and started pursuing different quest Well, at least I finished it... Stupid griffin...Also today, game earned itself another point from me by allowing to have more than just horses as mounts. Isn't it majestic?

I think the 1 year exclusivity didn't work out so well for the presence of the title. Exclusivity to what? Epic game store. The game released there a year ago, got some initial publicity but not very sustained.

As I preload Cyberpunk 2077, I'm doing another throwback to Red Alert 3. I'm playing as the Allies again, and true to their theme, a naval strategy involves their mighty Aircraft Carrier. The carrier comes with a Blackout Missile, which as the name implies, shuts down any and all mechanical units in the impact radius. Hydrofoils are arguably the most critical part of this strategy, because while their Icarus cannons absolutely shred enemy air units, it's their Weapon Jammers that take the cake. You can literally shut down Apocalypse Tanks (Soviet), Giga Fortresses (Imperial), King Oni's (Imperial), Kirov Airships (Soviet), Dreadnoughts (Soviet), Athena Cannons (Allies), and other Aircraft Carriers (Allies) with a single boat, letting your units fire upon them at their leisure. Normally you need dedicated assault forces to take these guys on directly. But I digress. I have a single Aircraft Carrier, three Hydrofoils, and three Riptide APC's (hovercraft that can transport infantry, comes with a heavy machine-gun and torpedoes when at sea). I'm able to shut down the enemy base using the aforementioned Blackout Missile, while my Hydrofoils are set to jamming mode so their response is stalled in their tracks. My squad of Riptides handles anything that gets too close, while the Aircraft Carrier conducts aerial bombardment with it's fleet of Sky Knight drones. The enemies of freedom never stood a chance!

Well, I decided to check on my Cyberpunk 2077 preload, and it finished, like, 5 hours ago, so I clearly underestimated my internet speeds.
And I see the "PLAY" button there, just so clickable... so I click.
I think the game is going to launch, and then it's just a window that says "Go back to sleep Samurai, it's not December 10th yet."
I gotta admit, that's clever. But you can't fault me for clicking the button.
