Exactly all those 'little things that are squished into the game' were (among others) what made me fall in love with BG3. Same with DAO which had a lot of that too. Sadly games like that are a rarity nowadays

BG3

I pushed Wyll to do something that's more positive for himself and the companions commented on it but Karlach's statement referred to his choice as if he took the other one which is weird. I think it's a bug or something. I really want to whop a certain devil, take that insufferable smirk off her face, and looked up to see if it'll backfire on a companion. Overall, it's pointless and can't be done. I'm rather surprise the Aasimar made no comment on her presence.

Ran into the weirdo NPC. I know about this guy because he appeared in the EA (I think) but I never really talked to him in previous PTs because I didn't know where he was. This time I poked into every building and came across him. I think he's at the boutique. I've read about him and think he's more of a troublemaker, he wouldn't bring anything good so I chose not to talk to him despite his planting himself at the entrance of the building. He resembles Neil Newborn, the VA for Astarion.

Stop Licking the Damn thing. Where I first heard the term 'coquettish.' Also hillarious as hell.

Borderlands 3

This game officially pulled off almost the greatest troll job in the history of gaming history. Though maybe it is the greatest since we did fall for it...at least twice.

For the last little bit the story we have been gathering towards the central objective of getting towards the Great Vault and mounting an assault on the Calypsos before they get there. Also with us rescuing Tannis things and discovering she was a Siren things were looking like they were pointing North and we weathered a high water mark. And when we got on today Lilith gave an inspirational speech about us stopping the Calypsos and then we actually went around Sanctuary optionally saying goodbye to everyone...like it was ME 3 or something. Then when we went to talk to Lilith Troy Calypso came in on the screen and revealed that the Great Vault....was Pandora itself? Or at the very least needing its moon to open since Troy used his Maya powers to drag the moon down, so we had a big threat to solve.

Really epic set up and mission to...goodness this really hit all the right notes. We do an epic mission involving our entire allied forces, both big characters and small NPC troopers. We face off against loads of enemies and basically all the Children of the Vault allies, at least I assume so since a bunch of hags from the Jakobs part of the story show up. And running and gunning. Right around here I decided that it was going to be worth it to not grind too much for weapons, IE didn't drop some just to pick up others, just decided to push on through. Eventually the first set piece ended when we went up against a bunch of annointed which apparently represented where Troy was getting his power from. Even after stopping them...it did not stop.

Troy was deciding to leach off Tyreen instead. And we got to fight him in a bit of an uninspired boss fight. But it was quite...painful...to listen to Tyreen scream as Troy ripped her apart. Well after putting a LOT of bullets into him and stopping him it seemed like we got the last laugh. Ava absorbed Troys powers at least the ones she got from Maya and the two siblings seemed to die next to one another. Seemed to being the opprotuive word as suddenly Tyreen gets back up, summons a bunch of rocks to gut us, starts gloating that she finished us off. Wishes us bye...the camera lingers on a broken orb. Then the screen goes to black, lingers for a second. Says 'to be continued in 4' IE Borderlands 4...then it starts counting down. It got us good. We're not dead and also we are now off to find the Eridian homeworld after recieving a message from Typehen De Leon.

Was thinking that maybe even if Tyreen survived she could have a come to Jesus moment on how corrupt things were and what not and how dangerous the path they were on was....but nope back to the pursuit of godhood. Troy was the disc one final boss it looks like. Well played BL.

I did a search. It's Naaber. Apparently, he has an arc on his own with a twist but I think I wouldn't have any patience for his shenanigans.
