Borderlands 3So, was very out of it for reasons and made it a bit hard to do much of anything and focus up, especially since it annoyed the wife a bit. On the big news though first off did replace that nasty shield I picked up last time with a better one. And also the last LMG I picked up I tested. And I am in love. Breath of the Dying is quite the treat to shoot in the end because its one 'hidden effect' causes a spread of orbs to splash out from the central target it just killed to then wreak havoc at anything it hits. I think I saw it do like 5000 damage on something it hit after the fact and just killed it in one shot. So this thing is effectively a weapon of mass destruction. Wifey wasn't even like 'I see I am not needed anymore.' And the other thing is its very on brand. Its a belt fed but its pretty small and manuverable and just sounds, looks, and feels exactly like what a small belt fed would. SO just laying down supressive fire knocking the crap out of things. And it is just pure devistation on armor. It kind of might be just good enough to negate most of my weapons just that if enemies are strong against its corrosive ammo. On the story front did a couple of quick side missions involving more restaraunt looking stuff where we had to defend it from Jabbers...and hunt down other Jabbers who stole something from this guy that looked suspiciously like Jabber doo doo. Main story mission in a surprise twist we are bound back for Pandora which seems a little...early narratively speaking. But as the wife reminded me there are few hard narrative rules to this sort of thing. Anyways our objective is to go and hunt down Tannis and in a way they are avoiding the trope in there own way...but the wonder twins have essentially started to get a crowd together for a public execution for Tannis to drive up recruitment. Obviously Lilith wants us to go in and rescue her.

Oh yes, time for another boss battle Royale. This time we face off against a giant hermit crab. Who throws away a big dump truck to the sea?

Dragon Age: Inquisition
Picked up right where I left off the last time I played. The group just made it to Skyhold. Didn't do much just explored the fortress and picked up any quests there that can be done. Tonight I will actually do some quests.
Oblivion
Made a new character he is a Breton mage and I chose to ignore the main quest and joined the Mages Guild in Chorrol. I have to get a recommendation from each of the guild halls in Cyrodiil. I have 3 recommendations so far. Chorrol, Skingrad, and Anvil. Also I am using a mod that only enables fast travel to cities you've already been to. Also the last time I played Oblivion was 10 years ago. I've owned various copies since release and after Morrowind I could not get immersed into the game. I found Cyrodiil visually boring compared to Morrowind and the gameplay "dumbed down". But that was in 2005 now I am actually enjoying Cyrodiil and appreciate it's beauty. Oblivion is sort of a bridge between the old (Morrowind) and the new (Skyrim). For example the factions in Oblivion still have the same rank function as Morrowind, but like in Skyrim ranks do not have any requirements. So basically in Morrowind you have to actually know magic to become archmage whereas in Oblvion and SKyrim you don't really need to. What I do remember however is that the faction quests and side quests were better in Oblivion than in both Morrowind and SKyrim.

Injustice 2Got through Chapter 5 and 6. ... The story mode in Neatherealm Studios games has had pretty much the same structure since Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe (when they were still part of a dying Midway). For each chapter, you take control of a single character, watch cutscenes, and take part in about 3-4 fights. There are issues with this format, and their stories tend to be a mixed bag.

I downloaded DA The Veilguard from PSN, today. It has nearly arrived.
While in there, I noticed that Soul Reaver and Soul Reaver 2 have been remastered by Aspyr and will release in a couple of weeks. I immediately preordered. 😄 This series was my first experience with a fantasy game with top-shelf voice acting, deep story, etc... It will be amazing to hear Raziel, Kain, The Elder God, Ariel, and Moebius again!
I played more AC Origins. It's a bit sad that I'll have to shelve it for a few weeks. I'm in a good groove with it and I'm really enjoying my time with Bayek. Today he arrived in the Faiyum and is on the trail of the Crocodile. This is where the game peaks for me, in many ways. I really enjoy everything about the Faiyum, from the geography and visuals, to the cultures, to the awesome quests and investigation to find and eliminate the Crocodile.
I have a long day tomorrow, and probably won't have enough time to play. At least I know I'm more likely to resume in a month or two with the Faiyum arc just getting started.

I was a Teenage Exocolonist
I always had the feeling Dys was like...gonna murder someone or...become a terrorist. At least, unlike Anders, you can talk him out of it. But it did majorly turn me off the one character romance I was interested in completely. But then the Alien dude came along and just as soon as things get hot and heavy he falls off a cliff and dies.
Wtf game, now I have a sad woman boner.

Injustice 2
So just as I was talking about this now I am back here to complain about it because the lack of saves, while understandable, really screwed me over. So my feeling that this game was supposed to be finished in one sitting, structually, is confirmed, though I also imagined they figured 'well it would be nice to give the players a recap to reground them to what is going on.' But when I loaded in it started basically way back in the Red Sun cell with Wonder Woman and company coming to the rescue and then Batman stopping Firestorm from nuking everyone. So that was annoying so I wanted to advance forward...and it advanced me into the very next fight which I had no context for because I forgot and it dropped me right into the middle after some key stuff, so it was annoying.
Also theme of the day, this thing, one of my biggest sayings is 'expectations is the death of fandom' see it can work in reverse. If you are expecting some really low tier crappy story stuff and it delivers something probably half way interesting its like oooh that's interesting. As I have mentioned this story does have structural problems and is fairly bog standard for super hero stuff, but every once in awhile it does have an interesting concept or cutscene and surprises me to.
So did Chapter 7,8, and a good deal of Chapter 9. I will admit part of my 'surprise' I mentioned is I fully expect this game and it still might be to a plot of redemption and basically the idea of this universe will 'equalize' with its self where these evil heroes will become good and the bad guys will be bad and the timeline will equilize. It still might happen, there is some hints of that, but its nice that it hasn't happened yet and there are still lingering character issues to solve. Other fun part is this game let me know that I am halfway through the story by popping an achievement in the first fight of Chapter 7.
Chapter 7 begins with Catwoman, Cyborg, and Harley Quinn off to infiltrate the Batcave via Arkham Asylum. And well first bit was Poison Ivy deeploying her spores which messed with Harley Quinn and turned her against us. So decided to have Catwoman engage Harley in a 'cat fight'. Which went well...ish. Then Poison Ivy herself. Always not sure how her pollen is supposed to work and what not and it worked on Harley and what not but thought that it wouldn't work on women...or something? So Catwoman it is. But then there was a bit of a missed opprotunity since she can't use that Pollen in her power set. Defeated her and decided to go in...and then it went out once more Bane. Bane was meatier and bigger so swapped over to Cyborg for a bit...that went well. Then Braniac hacked his systems and made the more 'machine' part fly out of him and assume sentience, so Cyborg was up for that to. Biggest story development here was Cyborg admitted, not surprisingly, that he wasn't up to Superman's plan either...but because SUpes started recruiting criminals into the Regime. The hypocricy of tyrants, delicious.
Chapter 8 focussed on Wonder Woman. She decided that instead of waiting that they needed to confront Braniac's forces, collateral damage be damned. Her line up took her up against Captain Cold, Reverse Flash, Scarecrow and Cheetah. The Scarecrow was interesting bit number one. Started off as Superman and had me going because he was blaming her for corrupting him and what not then she figures it out. But his line 'you are afraid you corrupted him, that you are the villain of this story', did hit quite hard. Especially when later she stabbed the heck out of Harley. This also got Kara to realize that things have gotten a little dark on this world and that Wonder Woman and co was lying, so after kicking WWs arse...
Off to confront Superman and co in the Fortress of Solitude. Basically Chapter 9. Kara confronts him about all the evil he has done and mentions he is probably no better then the baddies if there is a line. And yeah they are both right, sometimes you have to kill, but it can be a short trip to full blown MASS murder. Anyways Wonder woman, Black Adam, and Robin. Kara is probably my favorite of the 'flying heroes'. She does do the whole...her flying actually is in three dimensions. Though her ultimate move is probably the most extra one they have.

BG3 So I'm liking the big party mod. Bring everyone along and they started chatting to one another along the way, dis one another, prod one another, joke with one another, responding to dialogues with NPCs, tripping over one another, getting stuck on ledges, on ladders, behind one another, not jumping, not moving because they're hedged in by other team mates, tripping over traps and giving everyone black faces. Well, can't have the best of everything. They're actually pretty good in keeping together most of the time. What's great in combat is, I have nine people to throw 🧨 on the mobs. I completely forgot I have to create a special grenade for the hag so I reloaded to an earlier save. Then I reloaded again because the girl I'm supposed to save died with the hag. Reloaded again and tossed the grenade at another point in combat. No joy. Girl is deader than the door nail. Hmm. 🤔 Ok, let's forego the friendly hello, see you again dialogue with the hag. Reloaded. Walked into the hag's parlour and unceremoniously tossed the grenade at her the minute Shadowheart sighted her. HELLO! Hag Vomited the girl. Huzzah! The girl lives!

Borderlands 3Gonna start with the equipment update first. Continuing to really love my LMG/ AR hybrid as it just continues to wreck things. Does seeem to be a pretty descent all purpose weapon...like a good LMG I suppose. Actually using it pretty descent occasionally at sniper rangers because it actually kicks less then my current Hyperion Sniper so its easier to aim, keeps able to put fire at least in the general direction and even put some accurate fire on target, then with its spreading orbs of corrosive goodness acts as basically a grenade so it kind of makes both my sniper rifle and shot gun a bit redundant...a bit...because it fills in those two rolls. But then the two things with it like I said corrosive damage so there are enemies strong to it and we also discovered while my character is immune to the effects...the wife is not. So was apparently doing a lot of damage to her character and while this weapon is just amazing I am now looking for a replacement. Seemed to find one of them but decided it was not viable, had a lower score...and think it wa sa sniper file. Full automatic one so it was really going through its own ammo. So looking for a good Legendary AR to replace it or at least a good 'purple' level AR in order to swap it out. Plus discovered a good use for the 'Companion' the Firefly inspired pistol which does extra damage against flesh. Good for taking on random creatures in Pandora like flying ones which were swarming the vehicle that me and the wife were in and I provided cover to shoot them off. Actually found a good grenade mod which caused some friction since I said something stupid but a lgendary 'Fastball' with flavor text referencing Major League. But the thing travels really fast, blows up in a short distance, and does 5K plus damage. This precipitated a conversation since I don't actually use grenades and rely on the drone and clone to spawn greandes, the wife was wondering if they would be that accurate and well tested it out and they are. The drone is useful again. But it likes hover over them and dive bomb them and its aesome just BOOM dead. Last but not least in the Eridium vault was a shotgun the 'Black Flame Candle...' which needs a Virgin. Hocus Pocus reference...which is really appropriate I just realized. Anyways though shotgun and right now my super shotty is the lowest level, its 100 points give or take about it and the reference is too cute so I decided to commit. Not like I am using the premium currency for anything else so might as well. And to my surprise its actually a shot gun grenade launcher...so not the shotgun close range LMG of the other one but a grenade launcher. So willing to give it a chance since I haven't had an explosive weapon in my inventory in awhile so it does fill a need and is nominally an improvement, potentially, over my Legendary Shotty. But the thing is given my experience with the last explosive weapon bit worried about it doing damage in battle to either me or the wifey, especially based on the notes, so I have kept the old shot gun in case if, when we test it, it ends up being a bit too much of a risk. On the story front today's missions has to go up there as one of my favorites of it. We got to the proper meat of rescuing Tannis from the COV as she was about to be executed to drive up recruitment. And well the bosses of the level were ended up being 'Pain and Terror'. Well it increasingly dawned on me that 'Pain's' voice sounded super familiar, but I have had bad luck guessing voices so I wasn't sure and doubting myself, but as the mission went along me and the wife continued to note more and more. Pain and Terror is...Penn & Teller! Got such a good chuckle from it because we realized it was there model in the game to, Pain was the chatty one, and Terror had his mouth sewn shut and couldn't speak...similar to their cameo in B5. And then Terror was one of those midget tink things. I love it. The rest of the quest was just as whacky and just as off the wall. As we infiltrated the location and cleared it out to rpetty good music the two of them decided to take the show on the road, literally, as the base was revealed to be this giant water vehicle thing all mad max/ Wild Wild West/ That one movie with the cities on the road. And we have to pursue it to get stopping shooting its weak spots. Then turned into infiltrating that and clearing it out. The Wife admired the pistons, we had a boss fight...and then Tannis revealed herself as a Secret Siren. I'll admit nice arse plot twist considering there was set up for it but think that there is potential for hope because now we finally discovered maybe the best character in this, is actually a siren, so now we have a siren again. Course I worry the Calypsos will now go all slurpee slurp but this still feels like a turning point.

SWTOR
I finished my Bounty Hunter Dromund Kaas storyline. Found some bounties, kicked some asses, won a tourney and stole a ship.
Stardew Valley
Now in Winter season of year 1. Got a few more creatures in my barn and coop (rabit, sheep). Moved some buildings, built some new fences.
I need to continue upgrading my farming tools. I got plenty of gold ore I think. Might need more money, so more fishing I guess.

Pre-Downloaded HZD Remastered, given it is a remaster of a game I have already and have played why is there a delay to play?
Does anyone know if we have to start a new game whether we can NG+ it?

BG3
Someone said everything there is to Shar is one big tantrum to her sister, Selûne. I think it's true. I want to give Shar a hard punch to the face. Another NPC I also want to slap silly is Valeria, the dumb floaty lazy irresponsible elephant.
Shadowheart's personal quest is one of those choices in which neither is right nor wrong. The player simply has to choose from within the heart, the choice that best suits him/her. It's always hard. coming to this point. It always boils down to wanting the good for Shadowheart for she has suffered. A toy Shar chose to play with, just to piss off her sister. The one thing I hold out for Shadowheart is that Shar and Selûne are equal.
The end of Astarion's quest is heartrending. When he sits there and cries. One can hear the grief, the pain, the weight of the cruel shackles and emotions he suppressed for so long. Everything boils over. In that moment, I forgive him for his words, his manner, his attitude.
I would compare this moment to the emotional vibe of ME3, when Mordin died.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

Heading towards Sunfall, and I haven't even done Erend's quest yet, but Sylen's quests are just my favorite and take precedence

BG3
With the big party mod, I forgot there's no one at the camp except a certain undead (Orin wouldn't dare to take him) which meant I left one NPC to Orin's mercy. I got a smack reminder when NPC came running to Shadowheart in the sewers. Oh shucks, I forgot about her and her cat. Oh no, the cat would likely die.
Luckily, I had not gone very far into the sewers so I reloaded to the save at the entrance in the city and decided to leave one companion behind. Who? 🤔 Eeenee meeneee moooo. Halsin. Previously it was Lae'zel. Twice. No idea why Orin favoured her but this time, she would have to pick Halsin and she did.
Orin's family is terrible and screwed up. The depths and evil of dark gods. She looks terrible too but I still feel sorry for her. She wouldn't turn out this way if her family isn't so twisted.
I know going for the so called Dragon does not turn out anything so I'm ignoring this particular part. It's pointless exercise imo. At the most, I'll read the book, talk about it a little with companions and do nothing. This reminds me I've yet to destroy the Book of Thay. I keep forgetting about it.
