So more MEA yesterday, Sara left The Nexus after picking up a Pyjak that has now made the whole Tempest his home. Headed to the Nav Point that they got from the Vault on Eos but got road blocked by the leader of The Boneheads who tried to take The Tempest and Sara, due to her DNA. SAM managed to gain control of The Tempest again and provided Kallo with an escape route through the Scourge and arrived at Aya needing to urgently land. The reception by The Angara was not very warm. Met The Governor then some male Angara called Jaal and the Angaran head of the resistance Evfra. Jaal weaselled himself on to The Tempest and off to Havarl Sara, crew and hitchhiker went. Met the Governor and freed some scientists, found about some possible Turian refugees and that some sages may know the location of the third monolith which is missing and may be leading to Havarl's decline. Helped another scientist get her data back then headed off to see the Sages. Havarl has always been my favourite planet in MEA, just hope the respawning enemy bug doesn't happen. Pic's Deer in The Headlights That's a lot of guns Boss Bonehead Who says Krogan and Salarians don't get along Found a Hawaiian Resort in Andromeda We come in peace Havarl

BG3 I didn't try to the talk to the two squirrels standing around the minstrel in the first PT because I presumed it's a Beauty and the animals moment; said animals entranced by the Beauty and her music. This time I talked to the two squirrels and 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 at what they said. I chose to interrupt um a certain couple at a barn. In the previous PT I walked away and didn't bother to come back. Shadowheart apologised but apology not accepted so there was a fight. Playing from Shdowheart's POV is certainly very interesting as what she experiences in those moments concerning the two Goddesses reveals much about her past. I chose not to pick the Shar options when they're available. I wish they would not move things around. In the EA, the tollhouse key was on the corpse outside. Then it was on the corpse down in the cellar. Now it's not on either of the two corpses. I looked high and low for it. Not here, nope. Not there, nope. Where the bloody h*ll is it??!! 🤪 Did a search and one hint said it's on the rocks. NOPE!! I went up the path to the area exit then down the path to the stream to a potential companion before I found it.

AC Valhalla So i'm back and started where i left of and that means the actual assault on the castle had to start. I did what had to be done and so in the end we were victorious and got the Cyne Belle Castle back. And i have to say that as of now Eadwyn's and her two bodyguards were the hardest and most annoying bosses in the game. So i went back to Ravensthorpe for my next assignment and i kissed Randvi goodbye after she gave me the supplies for my journey. To Lunden and when i arrived there was some commotion so when that was cleared i talked to a guy. And there was a quest attached to that talk so when we walked to that place where we needed to be we found some dead people lying around. So we went inside and there was definitely an indication that someone lost his head during that battle. There was blood all over the poor guy it looked more like red paint to me then blood though. I had to find clues yeah who else the two guys were just there doing nothing to help me. And when i found the last clue i returned to the two guys and they gave me two quests. I had to find a woman sister Frideswid and kill her and another man who also had to die. So i started with finding that siter and after i killed her there was one of those cutscenes in which she gave me a book a gold book. That was that for now and i also got most of the wealth in Lunden.

Borderlands 3
Next mission was a bit of an odd one. I guess two boss fights. The main thing though is like I lot of games these games aren't going to be that easy to stop since there is no manual save. Nothing that is too big of a deal but wasn't much of a natral stopping point and well one thing led to another which led to another as well. But might make certain other things harder to do till Veilguard comes out. Ugh.
Other thing about this game some of the side quests have been interesting but its been hard to do any of them, have run into quite a list of things that just we haven't wanted to do...so off to the next story mission on the list.
Which ended up being to actually go after the Vault. All in one go.
First objective was to hunt down the last of the Vault Key fragments which the Jakobs(ses) put in the beer cellar of their estate, or another estate. Apparently they age their bullets in beer and use beer and also so it will come out smelling like beer. Wild. So we went through the areas of the cellars looking for the right barrel which had the key fragment and we got it. After Alistair and Wainright argued on how to solve a puzzle. Next after that though Aurellia appeared and shot Carhtright as he was saying 'you have to shoot me to get to him' which then froze them together. First boss fight of the mission and it was a little bit of a push over. Boss with shields. And I have a shotgun with electric damage. Got a bit aggressive but still pushed through.
And then right onto the Vault itself to hunt down the monster. Killed it but it was quite an...interesting fight given that it had AOE attacks and also tipped the platform over on the end which knocked me off. But we got it, killed it, drained it and the twins were all acting horrible. We also went on to get the ability to use Artefacts finally from the end. But then after we got out of the Vault the Calypsos teleported Tannis away. Have to say her 'this is Disconcerting' got a good chuckle out of me despite the annoyance with the situation.
Gear was fun, as was usual. Found a shield at the end which gave me a 'damage boost when shields are full but drains shields.' I was like 'mine or theirs' but pretty sure since the answer was 'mine' I didn't want to risk it. Well later I found a shield that detonated a nova when it was damaged and I was like 'oh that might be fun to give a try'...but I missed that it did the same damn thing but by that time I was already comitted. Most annoying and I did confirm. Then fun with ARs. I didn't really like the AR legendary I had so I have been looking forward to it...so I was looking for an upgrade with just a higher gear score even if its 'rarity' was lower. Found a green Atlas, I liked Atlas, so why not. But it didn't have the Fire rate boosts of the others so it fired very slowly even being full auto...so started looking for another upgrade. Found a level 405 like...purple...SMG but it was hyperion and fired fast so...oo. Had a scope even. But then after getting back to Sanctuary found, of all things, a Legendary Dahl AR. Less gear score, but Legendary and it just looks like...well pretty good stats. So without even testing the SMG upgraded to the DAHL and even better it actually looks like a Belt Fed. Only 52 rounds but I must say it does 400 damage, plus, five round and full auto options like most Dahls...and I've always thought that a Belt fed or a drum fed would be a super good weapon. Also still now the best weapon I have gear score wise.

I Finally started playing Disco Elysium. It really is a game that surely is not for everyone. No fighting for one. TONS of dialogue to go through which determines whatnot (not spoiling ) The world you are moving around in is basically a few streets in a town and going to sleep will shift things around/have other NPC's and parts of the city unlocked. I don't know if I am doing things right so far. Seems that I need to find the killer in a few days and I am in day 3 so far. Oh yeah. Disco.
I have been impressed by that game. Did three playthroughs with 3 completely different builds and I got 3 very different Harrys and overall 3 different experiences through the game, despite the events being pretty much the same. That is not easy to achieve, so the developers definitely deserve praise.
My first run was mostly purple (empathy type skills) with a bit of yellow (logic skills) and nothing red (physical abilities). This Harry was a sensitive mental wreck. He felt for people, for the world, for the animals. And he was utterly shit at his job. Had to make a lot of compromises and accept a lot of ridicule in order to push the investigation ahead. Meanwhile I got a ton of info about a lot of lore, people and history that I didn't receive in the follow up playthroughs. This Harry knew what the world really was like and was utterly depressed about it.
Second run was a heavily red Harry, with very little in yellow/purple. Well, this dude rocked. Not in a positive way, but boy, did he make things happen. Investigation? Ha! Hot knife, meet butter. Did it in almost a single day. He powered through every obstacle with ease, most often crashing through it head on. Why overthink something if you can smash it? Walls, corpses, people - all got the fist of justice in their face. Nuance? What's that? Reality is what Harry says it is. Even if it's stupid. Especially if it's stupid. This Harry missed a ton of things. Never realized even half of what was going on. But it didn't matter. He was Super_Cop-Disco_God-Law_of _the_Land (self proclaimed) and shit was getting done under his watch. Didn't matter if half the NPCs played him like a fiddle.
Third run was a mostly yellow Harry with even bits of red and purple. He seemed the most stable of the bunch. Also Kim liked him the most and the two seemed to click. In comparison - Kim thought Purple Harry is an idiot that needs to be put out of his misery; and Kim started his journey with Red Harry with complete disgust for the man, which slowly turned into disbelief, which then became morbid fascination and even disgruntled appreciation of Harry's work. Yellow Harry picked up on a lot of the world, but not to the depths of Purple Harry. And it didn't bother him nearly as much as it did for Purple Harry. The investigation took longer than it did for Red Harry, but was done with much more attention. People were still a bit of enigma, but nobody managed to pull a fast one and often were outplayed by Harry's wit, which was a nice surprise, compared to the pitiful display of Purple Harry and the idiot Red Harry.
I think I liked Red Harry best. He was a force of nature and extremely entertaining from start to finish. But if anyone wants to take the world building and lore in large doses - probably a Purple harry or a yellow/purple mix is best.

Cool companions. Fun story. Fun backstories if you play as an origins. Choices&consequences. Multiple ways to resolve quests and combat encounters. Great soundtrack. Great voice acting. Lots of content (it's a long game if you do everything). It wasn't called a masterpiece in official reviews and won basically every awards last year at random. Downside, do you like turn-based combat? Because there is a lot of that.

Does that help?
Objectively it's one of the best games in the last decade (or longer). It has pretty much unseen levels of reactivity - both to your character (race, class, etc) and to your actions in the game. A very solid experience from start to finish, but can get a bit overwhelming at points (especially Act 3).
There is a lot of freedom in how you approach quests, but it's not evident as it is often left to you to decide. For example - how do you deal with a certain boss? Straight on attack - sure, you can do that. But you can also carry a load of exploding barrels, place them around him and then blow it from safely away. Or lure him with a song to an edge and then push him down to his death. Or sweet talk him into an ambush later in the game. Or go up in the rafters above, destroy all ladders so no enemies can follow and shoot them like fish in a barrel below. People still uncover clever ways to deal with quests and bosses.
What the game does in a clever way is to keep giving you those little dopamine hits to make your character feel special. Like - you get a lot of options from early on to use special dialogues that appear only for your chosen class/race/build. This little trick will keep you engaged and appreciate your protagonist.

And thank you to. "Does that help" uh no not really. "Lure a boss with a song" now that is something i've never done before in a game or "sweet talk him". This is nice and fun stuff that i can do in BG3.

Thank you. At this moment i have no idea what "turn-based combat" is but is that the same as in the earlier Final Fantasy games ? Never played earlier FF games, only ever finished one - FFX. So the answer is...maybe?
It's D&D rules turn-based combat. So normal movement is paused (there are ways to circumvent that with stealth) and every character is put in a combat queue waiting for their turn to act on the battlefield. Turn order is based on Initiative stat of each character (you can influence that with skills, spells, etc). Every character can do different things during their turn, depending on their class, skills, etc. Nobody else can act during another character's turn (but they can react depending on class, skills, etc).
It's a complex and deep system if you want to delve deep into it, but not hard to get used to.
The fights in the first few hours may seem longer and harder, but once you hit like Level 5, things will start getting quicker.

SWTORI made a male Bounty Hunter. I delete my male Bounty Hunter. The voice isn't for me and I tried both scoundrel and pyrotech and both are not fun at low levels. Pyrotech really has too much fire. Yes, there is a thing as "too much fire". So I made a new female Bounty Hunter. She has a big railgun (and I can just outfit her with my Trooper gear once she hits level 80). I like Commando, well before I hated Commando because the big gun looked stupid and I always made the mirror Mercenary with two guns. But since playing my Commando Trooper, I actually prefer Commando's animations. And I'm really liking the random name generator they added. Takes a few tries and sometimes I have to change a few letters, but I'm getting awesome names. Hopefully Veilguard name generator is just as good. Stardew ValleyI got my bigger barn, now I need to buy a goat and pet it every day. I also need only two more fish types to finish another part of the community center. I should probably unlock the bus first thought (it's just money), since one of them is in the desert and I forgot to buy it every time it showed at the visiting vendor with a random inventory. Otherwise, I need to decide who I'm marrying so I focus on raising their affection.

Finished a game called Rebel Transmute. It is a sci-fi Metroidvania. Fun, but challenging at times.
I am going to go back and try to finish collecting everything, but I think I missed an important upgrade somewhere and it may be unobtainable now, I am not sure. (There was a brief one-off sequence/level/area near the end of the game where I accidentally skipped to the exit, and then I could not go back and do it properly. If the upgrade is there then I am screwed without a new playthrough.) There are a couple of areas I cannot access that may or may not require that upgrade.

Don't be angry if i haven't mentioned your name. But should i buy this game and can you tell me why ? Thank you. Yes. It's good. Oh - more specifics? Well, it is a significant change of pace to Valhalla, so you wouldn't be rolling into the exact same type of game and gearing up for another 50-80 hours of the same 'basic stuff'. The character creator is fantastic, allows an enormous range of looks and builds. Karlach. Classic defeat the great evil story but this time you get to decide if you're good...or just a different kind of evil. Almost every situation has multiple paths through it that are equally valid and satisfying. Spoiler free example - early in the game I attacked a group preventing me from accessing a crypt. An explosion blew a hole in the ground and we got in to the crypt. On another playthrough, there was no explosion, but there was something hanging above the weak point. I threw a tin cup at it and it fell, blowing open the hole and we got in to the crypt. Karlach. *** Turn based combat means just that, each participant in a fight rolls a dice and gets assigned a place in the queue. They take their turn, moving, attacking casting spells, drinking potions. The game is literally (and visibly) rolling dice each step of the way.

But should i buy this game and can you tell me why ? If it's in your budget then yes. My favourite bit is the character creator and the companions. Yes there is Karlach but there is also Lae'zel. Angry murder space frog. The ultimate wife. Gale is cute too. I sometimes just load up the game to make a face or two and it's very nice. Did have some problems with the combat but then it clicked and it was very good. It's mostly about having the high ground. Also you can shove people. Into chasms. Good times. Music is also nice. You can play the lute And you can talk to animals. And dead people. I've spent an ungodly amount of time on it. Like a bit over 1000 hours. So like, if you like your time then maybe no. But also yes because time well spent.

And you can talk to animals. And dead people. I may have an addiction about talking to dead people. I kill someone, use a spell to change my look to another race and then try to talk to the body (it won't talk to you if it recognizes you or you use the same race as a disguise - the dead hold a grudge, but are kinda stupid).

There's another game that has caught my attention and that is Baldur's Gate III. And i've seen that some of you guys played this game or are still playing this game and to name a few Saandrig Curious Crow Obsidian Gryphon Azarhal Talyn82 and DragonKingReborn and probably more. Don't be angry if i haven't mentioned your name. But should i buy this game and can you tell me why ? Thank you. I'll presume you have not played the Divinity series. Besides all the other stuff mentioned in the posts above. There's one other game feature that's unique to Larian Studios and that's the ability, spells and combat moves, to make use of the objects and the environment during fights and normal exploration. This is one feature that has been present in their games. Players who know Larian Studios went nutty during the early access phase. You should see how various types of barrels and containers were used in the fights. The vids are available in YT. Larian Studios cut back on the explosive containers when the game launched though. Still, it was utter madness and fun in the EA phase.

Sara cleaned up the first stage of Havarl yesterday, finding the third Monolith and activating it then resetting the vault. Discovered the crashed Turians, one of them Avitus Rix is an ex-spectre trained by Saren!!!!! Anyway he was desperate to find thei Pathfinder who it sounds like he may be involved with. Then looked for debris from the ark and of course in this technological age had to go to The Tempest, fly to space to speak to Evfra on AYa and to trigger the mission to speak to Addison on The Nexus from Havarl. So returned to Havarl, then headed to the scientists who had been deployed by The Nexus at the request of the head Angaran scientist on Havarl. Next talking to more scientists and tracking down over sized mutated animals before they disappear after the vault reset and to finish some minor missions. Pic's Havarl really is pretty. The First Sage, apparently Reincarnation is a thing Come on Taavos pick up the glove and let the reincarnation/memory recall kick in Damn Spectre are everywhere, even in the Andromeda Galaxy Pathfinder working the magic, oh and SAM of course The Pathfinder, bringing people together Sorry got to get to orbit to do a Zoom call

Don't be angry if i haven't mentioned your name. But should i buy this game and can you tell me why ? Thank you. Most of your questions have been answered already. But as one BioWare fan to another. Dragon Age: Origins is my favorite BioWare rpg of all time. Baldur's Gate 3 feels like a spiritual successor to that game. I could not help but to think how much BG3 reminded of not just Origins but all of the Dragon Age games so far. The game has a lot of reactivity and there are many ways to approach situations. The companions are all great and like DragonKingReborn said Karlach. Voice acting is great everyone delivers a believable performance. The problem is and it just might be me the game is long real long and also if you're like me you will restart a lot so that increases the length of the game. But like Curious Crow said if the game is within your budget then I definitely recommend it. Oh and before I forget the games combat is turn based like the old Final Fantasy games.

I installed the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition last night. I'm not gonna replay them yet. I still have Morrowind, Oblivion, Dragon Age 2, and Dragon Age: Inquisition to finish. If Veilguard turns out to be good then I will buy that game since all three previous Dragon Age games will still be fresh in my head. But I've I installed a few mods for MELE like the community patches and some restored content mods so that way when I'm ready to play I don't have to install them.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

Alright, we return to this planet to help the Imperial Guard complete some objectives. We meet the regular people of the universe and who stand before the Xeno plight:
