OblivionFinished the Shivering Isles expansion. Completed all of the side content as well as the main story. Installed a mod that gives you the power and abilities that Bethesda should have implemented for the title you are given once you complete the Shivering Isles expansion. What's cool about the mod is that it is lore friendly in that you only have those abilities and powers in the Shivering Isles. Once you go back to Cyrodiil you become mortal. In lore Daedric Princes are all powerful in their realms. But they have no power on Nirn which is why they work through and need followers. Technically speaking you are not a Daedric Prince yet but over time you will grow into the role. Here's the mod: www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/50341Now I will go back to play Morrowind and later decide whether I should continue with Oblivion.

Sara cleaned up the first stage of Havarl yesterday, finding the third Monolith and activating it then resetting the vault. Discovered the crashed Turians, one of them Avitus Rix is an ex-spectre trained by Saren!!!!! Anyway he was desperate to find thei Pathfinder who it sounds like he may be involved with. Then looked for debris from the ark and of course in this technological age had to go to The Tempest, fly to space to speak to Evfra on AYa and to trigger the mission to speak to Addison on The Nexus from Havarl. So returned to Havarl, then headed to the scientists who had been deployed by The Nexus at the request of the head Angaran scientist on Havarl. Next talking to more scientists and tracking down over sized mutated animals before they disappear after the vault reset and to finish some minor missions. I installed the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition last night. I'm not gonna replay them yet. I still have Morrowind, Oblivion, Dragon Age 2, and Dragon Age: Inquisition to finish. If Veilguard turns out to be good then I will buy that game since all three previous Dragon Age games will still be fresh in my head. But I've I installed a few mods for MELE like the community patches and some restored content mods so that way when I'm ready to play I don't have to install them. talyn82 did you quote me for any reason? I am playing Mass Effect Andromeda.

SWTORNew (lady) Bounty Hunter made it to the fleet with her little adopted sister Mako. She's done with the starting planet: Hutta full of toxic wastes, criminals and chemilizards. Not sure, if that one will get beyond the first planet of chapter 2 (where I stopped my last 3 BH). But Commando is so fun, I feel like a One-Woman-Tank. She also looks like a late 80s punk mixed with a goth. But I'm mostly running around with a full armor and helmet, which is kinda annoying, full armor looks weird without the helmet, head is like too small because of all the durasteel you know. Barrelmancy is overrated!!!!! BURN THE HERETIC! I AM FIRE PROOF!

Thank you. At this moment i have no idea what "turn-based combat" is but is that the same as in the earlier Final Fantasy games ? Never played earlier FF games, only ever finished one - FFX. So the answer is...maybe?
It's D&D rules turn-based combat. So normal movement is paused (there are ways to circumvent that with stealth) and every character is put in a combat queue waiting for their turn to act on the battlefield. Turn order is based on Initiative stat of each character (you can influence that with skills, spells, etc). Every character can do different things during their turn, depending on their class, skills, etc. Nobody else can act during another character's turn (but they can react depending on class, skills, etc).
It's a complex and deep system if you want to delve deep into it, but not hard to get used to.
The fights in the first few hours may seem longer and harder, but once you hit like Level 5, things will start getting quicker.
Thank you again. What you describe here is about the same as in the early Final Fantasy games and i'm afraid that was not something that i liked very much but that was then so maybe it's better in this game. There's another game that has caught my attention and that is Baldur's Gate III. And i've seen that some of you guys played this game or are still playing this game and to name a few Saandrig Curious Crow Obsidian Gryphon Azarhal Talyn82 and DragonKingReborn and probably more. Don't be angry if i haven't mentioned your name. But should i buy this game and can you tell me why ? Thank you. Yes. It's good. Oh - more specifics? Well, it is a significant change of pace to Valhalla, so you wouldn't be rolling into the exact same type of game and gearing up for another 50-80 hours of the same 'basic stuff'. The character creator is fantastic, allows an enormous range of looks and builds. Karlach. Classic defeat the great evil story but this time you get to decide if you're good...or just a different kind of evil. Almost every situation has multiple paths through it that are equally valid and satisfying. Spoiler free example - early in the game I attacked a group preventing me from accessing a crypt. An explosion blew a hole in the ground and we got in to the crypt. On another playthrough, there was no explosion, but there was something hanging above the weak point. I threw a tin cup at it and it fell, blowing open the hole and we got in to the crypt. Karlach. *** Turn based combat means just that, each participant in a fight rolls a dice and gets assigned a place in the queue. They take their turn, moving, attacking casting spells, drinking potions. The game is literally (and visibly) rolling dice each step of the way. And thank you to. That's also something that could be interesting "a different kind of evil" is it something like in the KotOR games ? Always playing the "good" guy can get boring at times. But should i buy this game and can you tell me why ? If it's in your budget then yes. My favourite bit is the character creator and the companions. Yes there is Karlach but there is also Lae'zel. Angry murder space frog. The ultimate wife. Gale is cute too. I sometimes just load up the game to make a face or two and it's very nice. Did have some problems with the combat but then it clicked and it was very good. It's mostly about having the high ground. Also you can shove people. Into chasms. Good times. Music is also nice. You can play the lute And you can talk to animals. And dead people. I've spent an ungodly amount of time on it. Like a bit over 1000 hours. So like, if you like your time then maybe no. But also yes because time well spent. And thank you to. Uh not yet if i buy all the games that are on my list at this moment and that also include this game i have to rob a bank or something. And that's not something i will do anytime soon. Yeah i've seen some examples of the character creations and this one made me laugh Talking to dead people that reminds me of the movie Dungeons and Dragons. A 1000 hours wow i do like my time but if the game is really good then it is as you said time well spent. Thank you. I'll presume you have not played the Divinity series. Besides all the other stuff mentioned in the posts above. There's one other game feature that's unique to Larian Studios and that's the ability, spells and combat moves, to make use of the objects and the environment during fights and normal exploration. This is one feature that has been present in their games. Players who know Larian Studios went nutty during the early access phase. You should see how various types of barrels and containers were used in the fights. The vids are available in YT. Larian Studios cut back on the explosive containers when the game launched though. Still, it was utter madness and fun in the EA phase. And you to thank you. No i haven't played the divinity series yet are they more or less the same as BG3 ? There's another game that has caught my attention and that is Baldur's Gate III. And i've seen that some of you guys played this game or are still playing this game and to name a few Saandrig Curious Crow Obsidian Gryphon Azarhal Talyn82 and DragonKingReborn and probably more. Don't be angry if i haven't mentioned your name. But should i buy this game and can you tell me why ? Thank you. Most of your questions have been answered already. But as one BioWare fan to another. Dragon Age: Origins is my favorite BioWare rpg of all time. Baldur's Gate 3 feels like a spiritual successor to that game. I could not help but to think how much BG3 reminded of not just Origins but all of the Dragon Age games so far. The game has a lot of reactivity and there are many ways to approach situations. The companions are all great and like DragonKingReborn said Karlach. Voice acting is great everyone delivers a believable performance. The problem is and it just might be me the game is long real long and also if you're like me you will restart a lot so that increases the length of the game. But like Curious Crow said if the game is within your budget then I definitely recommend it. Oh and before I forget the games combat is turn based like the old Final Fantasy games. And last but not least thank you to. Yes i thought so what Saandrig described in his post is more or less the same combat system as in the early FF games.

You can play as one of the named, established characters and take them on your version of their journey, or you can play as the total blank slate; Tav. You can also customise the Dark Urge, who is a whole other level of crazy. I haven’t played as them, yet, but they’re more ‘present’ in the story than Tav is (although that’s not saying much).

Divinity Original Sins 2 is the closest to BG3 in terms of game play, voice acting, classes and combat. It does not have the BG3 type cutscenes but it has a great narrator. Amelia Tyler who's the narrator for BG3, voiced one of the characters in DOS II. The Elves in DOS II are not the typical elves oft portrayed in fantasy media. It would surprise you, I should think. DOS I is older and initially has no voice actors but Larian Studios put out an enhanced edition with VAs. Unlike DOS II, players can control two characters and whatever relationship the two have is up to the player. The older Divinity games would be on par with the older BG games.

BG3
It turns out the extended party mod cannot accommodate the sleeping bedrolls for the night so the party must be trimmed to four when sleeping. The rest of the companions can be asked to join the next morning.
I haven't been resting the party enough it seems because I was about to take the party to the next zone when the game dropped the party into camp, ready to sleep. I figured what's missing and sent everybody to bed.
Not very sure if I'll be successful with the Shadowheart and Gale relationship. I had tried it before with a custom female elf but I didn't complete that PT. I can't remember if it was EA or the first complete PT in which I started with the female Elf. I may have changed my mind because I like Shadowheart and made a custom male Elf for her.
I don't think I can help Karlarch for this PT unless I can talk Wyll into doing something. It wasn't that great for her in the first PT. I'm pretty sure it can be done. I'll have to run a search for the steps.

Okay that's always good that it is more in depth than the KotOR games ( yes me to KotOR deserves to be remastered ) i'm not sure i like to be pitch black though that goes maybe a little to far. I'm not sure yet of course but we'll see when i play BG3 where the game leads me. And you to thank you. No i haven't played the divinity series yet are they more or less the same as BG3 ? AC Valhalla So the next one was on my list and that was an easy one and when i killed him (Avgos) there was another one of those cutscenes. That left us the final boss and he was irritating and annoying to kill he was on one of those ships. And when i killed him there was another cutscene and with that finished Lunden. When i returned to Ravensthorpe for my next assignment from Randvi The boy was still there urging me to follow him. I feel sorry for the boy even if it is just an npc in this game i can't help it when his quest is bugged. So i talked to Randvi but first we kissed and she said that she missed me well who wouldn't. And my next assignment brought me to Sciropescire and i had to find and talk to Ceolbert and do some quests with him and that Ivarr. And yes he's an asshole in these quests as well man i really don't like the guy. I had to give some silver to one of the man who were standing there and i chose to give the silver to Gwriad. Then Ivarr started a brawl and we had to fight our way out and there were some more soldiers that we had to kill. When we finished to kill them all i got my next quest and i had to talk to a refugee and he pointed me in the right direction. So the next quest was far away and on my way over there i raided that town that was close to where i needed to be. And got a little wealthier and i could upgrade my town a little further but that was for later. The main goal was save some people and destroy supplies and so i did. I finished that quest and on to my next quest which i also finished successfully. So after that i had to do some fishing with Ceolbert and had to catch three eels and i thought oh no not fishing. But i did it anyway and i got the hang of it and caught three eels in maybe one or two minutes. About that fishing there is something else to tell you as well dazk keep reading. So i had to find Ceolbert and he was nowhere to be found so i had to talk to some soldiers and no one knew where he was. Then i had to talk to a guy who was so drunk that i couldn't talk to him because he was fast asleep and i had to wait and to pass the time i did some meditation. And after that he was awake and he send me to a cave where i could find Ceolbert. When i found him he was close to death so i had to carry him out of that cave which was extremely difficult. I had to check the internet for a solution and i was glad that i wasn't the only one having trouble with him getting out of that cave. Why make this so annoyingly complicated to get him out of that cave is beyond me jeez. So i brought him back and there was a cutscene and after that i left and went to Ravensthorpe. When i arrived i saw a lot of fishes jumping out of the water so i thought lets try fishing again with what i found out. I used a fishing line and threw it in and to make the story a little shorter i caught at least ten fishes in maybe five or six minutes and all big ones. Dazk the pictures that you showed us a while back where your Eivor carries those big fishes those same pictures i could also use here in this post they're almost identical except for the armor that you wear and the hair color are different but those fishes are the same.

Yes, we finally managed to be able to serve the Eel curry to the farmer as well a very special plate to a girl and we managed to advance the side stories. We have also unlocked a Farm and got ourselves a fish net:

I played Deliver Us The Moon, it's about 6-7h long. Even has ray tracing that is a bit cumbersome to activate.
It's a walking simulator with focus on unlocking and repairing stuff, power doors and the like. It got a lot of praise but I'm actually a little disappointed. The premise is cool but the actual gameplay was a bit boring? I didn't really enjoy PLAYING it all that much. I actually wished it was more of a pure walking simulator and less puzzle solving. I enjoyed The Invincible much more because that game had real mystery and intrigue. Deliver Us The Moon has a lot of annoying things to do to earn the game side of things. Sometimes you're on an oxygen timer, then even quicktime stuff. Then you have to move trolleys, use your drone. Drive a rover and repair a dish. Some platforming too. But none of that felt particulary interesting to do. It's janky as you'd expect. One section almost had me rage quit, kept getting spotted by hostiles and died repeatedly. The story is fine... nothing special though. The storytelling could have been better too. You can listen to hologram recordings. But those are just basic yellow neon human shapes, the devs didn't even bother with any actual character models. And maybe I'm just dumb or not paying attention but I was 2/3 through the game before I realized which character I'm actually in control of, lol. There is some emotion there, it gets better the last third of the game. But ehhh, even the ending makes you wonder how much good your heroic act even did. I'd rate it 7/10 at best. There are much better walking simulators out there. So I'll probably not play the next game in the series: Deliver Us Mars, since everybody says the first game was much better. They're currently kickstarting the third game but I don't think I care. I'm glad there are people who enjoy this franchise, but wasn't really my thing. "Observation" had a similar issue for me that the storytelling and atomsphere was decent but the gameplay was annoying as hell.
Anybody else play it? Thoughts?

I resumed my second Witcher 3 playthrough after a long hiatus due to my fingers and was surprised that I can easily do combat without using my thumbs much at all. I might get hit a little more often but I'm OP now anyway so it doesn't matter. This bodes well for Veilguard, should I decide to play it sooner rather than later after all.
There's also Fallout London I want to finally play. Now that it's back to the proper sale price of 10€ I bought it at last on GOG so I don't have to mess with my heavily modded Steam version. It's downloaded but I need to add some mods like ultra wide support before I dive in. Combat could be more straining for my fingers because aiming with a gun needs more precision than wildly swinging my witcher sword. Will have to see.
Was only briefly in the hospital for a quick surgery today and already discharged, and recovery will be much faster than expected. So the 2 weeks off I was banking on to game got reduced to back at work next Wednesday. So now I've got too many things to play and not that much time. Haha.

Yeah I was really keen on this at first but when I delved further into it the puzzling completely put me off it.

Different Elves so that could mean no pointy ears ? Hmm maybe i put DOS 2 also on my list we'll see. I played a bit of DOS 2 and the characters are unique I was steadily playing it until BG3 fully released. But BG3 was made using the same concepts for DOS 2. For example the combat and the interactivity of the environment. Also in both BG3 and DOS 2 you can create your own character or play as an Origin character.

melbella How is the Diablo IV expansion? I have not bought it yet nor have I looked up any reviews. I know I can look them up but usually they contain spoilers.
Uh, more of the same? Nahantu is another big area on par with the other 5. You re-visit some places from Diablo II. New NPCs pop up in the quest, plus there are the mercenaries added. Um, they are interesting folks. I kept the first one available as my sidekick the whole time. The main story starts with a bit of a shock and it ends with a bit of a shock. Neyrelle is kinda whiny but what can you expect going up against a Prime Evil?
There are a lot of gameplay changes from the latest patches: the tier system, the leveling system, end game activities, runewords, and of course the new class from the DLC. I only played as Spiritborn for a short time because I wanted to continue the story with the character I'd been using.

Thank you for the reply. Don't know who Neyrelle is yet, but first I want to complete the base game before buying the expansion.
