LadyofNemesis The house looks amazing! It was pretty before but it feels a lot more spookier now, but still kinda fits into the area around it. If you're still adding to it / open to suggestion I'd think a fountain would look lovely in one of the open areas Thank you
and that's a good idea, I'll do that

BG3 Took out the harpies. Gale died though and I had to use the resurrect scroll on him. I was not going near his body nor was I going to follow his complicated instructions in getting him alive again. He's a freaking walking bomb. Helped the tiefling with her music. I noticed many changes in the area where she sat, the animations are a lot better but I want to take the lute away from her and asked her not to sing. What's the problem? The problem is there's no orchestra with her, she's just trying to write a song and play the lute. By rights, it should just be the lute, not a score of invisible musical instruments playing with her. I would love to have only the lute and a beautiful voice. Unfortunately the latter didn't hit any points with me either. I'm not saying the singer is terrible. She has a nice voice but it doesn't suit the theme of the song. The same goes for the theme song Down By the River. It needs a more ethereal vocal akin to Enya's or Julie Elven. Anyway, it's just imo and preference.

They changed the dialogue with Nettie. I'm not sure if it's because I'm playing a druid character. I can't open Kagha's chest this time so I'll see if I can find that incriminating note without the clue from the chest.

Ok, shove doesn't do anything now except a waste of time. I've tried shove (with the char with the most strength) when the mob is standing at the edge. By rights, they have to lose balance and fall; this is done by a bigger char on a small mob. But I guess there're a lot of complaints about shove so this action is now negated to nothing (they took the fun out of it btw) though I wonder why it's still around.
If they want to reduce the shove effect, I hope they tie it to the difficulty level when the game fully launches. Easier to shove mobs off in story / easy mode, average difficulty in shoving for normal and nothing happens for hard / hardest difficulties.

Finished up Tower of Time. Overall it was alright. Combat got tiring about midway through, and the whole alignment choice system wasn't very fun. If you liked certain characters but picked things they didn't like you would get negative party stats if you used them and vise versa for likes. Like I don't mind pissing off party members but then punishing your stats for it is pretty lame.
Story wise though I liked a lot of the mystery around it. Though they do leave a couple big things hanging that they clearly wanted to set up for a sequel. Though I don't think it did well enough to probably get one. It also has a pretty cool mix of magic and tech which is always cool to see.

BG3 Well, improvements in dialogues. I managed to poke fun at Lae'zel. The best way to manage her is not to take her impatience / threats / anger to heart. From what she said, she's the fish out of the water, not the other way around. Raphael appeared during the second night at camp and he took his sweet time to pop in my other PTs.

We Happy FewSo it is a bit ironic how life sometimes works out. Specifically the fact that this will be the last game, more then likely, unless it is through PS plus...but yeah this will be the last new game I will be playing of this console generation. And well what attracted me to to this game was trying to piece together its story and its Bioshock aesthetic. In that regard too this game does have a very similar kind of tutorial set up. Nowhere near as long winded as Infinite but teaching you have to 'attack' enemies involved you whacking a pinata...which turned out to be a rat. It is a bit of a...hmmm...moment but it seems this game has survival mechanics. Don't know how much it actually effects things at easy or what the 'rules' are...but hey at least I only spent 9 bucks if things go wrong. . And well my...to paraphrase Khan...my lack of 3 dimensional thinking bit me...again. First big quest in the world has me going to a little 'fort' which is occupied by a...gang. Circling the thing for about ten minutes...and then it hit me that it was on top of a hill...and walla there is an entrance down there. But alas poor Arthur was captured by then...then gave up his inventory...then put in an arena to fight against an ex employee he got fired...I chose the lethal option because feck him. This game is off to an interesting start though I think I have a good idea what is going on so we will see.

For the last few days i`ve been playing another VN game: Cinderella Phenomenon. I saw this game in my Steam recommendations and because it`s free to play i thought why not? and i`m so glad i did it. It took me by surprise how much i`ve enjoyed playing this game. I was completely hooked from the beginning, each LI leads to completely different routes and each route are unique and gives new insite into the story, i found most characters interesting and engaging and the choices we make in this game can lead to a bad or a good ending (all different depending on the LI that was choosen). I had so much fun that i ended up buying the sequel - Cinderella Phenomenon: Evermore, not only because i wanted more time with this characters but also to support the creators of this game. Definitely one of my favorite VN games.

We Happy Few
So it seems the survival mechanics in this game aren't *that* hard core just more in the vain of negative and positive buffs then anything. Not too extreme and it takes awhile for things to run out.
Another cue this game takes from BioShock is the visual/environmental storytelling that the game does. A few pieces are beginning to emerge in the overall thing. It seems this is an alternate history where Germany won WW 2...at least against the Brits (what happened to the US I wonder?) and then *something* happened to the kids. I am not entirely sure what is real yet and what might be psychological trauma...IE the actual truth is so bad that they are trying to cover it up with a convenient lie. But my favorite example of this kind of thing was running into what was clearly an ME 262 crashed in the courtyard of the house. Which is a huge indication of what this alternate history was considering the Germans only developed the ME 262 in "real* life too late to do any good so they must have gotten it earlier without US intervention.
Right now I am up to the bit where Arthur met Ollie...guy does not seem all there.

*sigh* one whole day of redoing (with a few breaks) and restarting my newest house build in The Sims 4...and this is as far as I've gotten I rather like how it's turning out so far, but I'm struggling with doing the second floor (doesn't really help that most of it still looks like gigantic blocks of meh ) I tried looking up some references for what I'm going for (kinda going for Victorian/Gothic vibe), but I can't make heads or tails from them I noticed that I practically only like building and decorating houses in the Sims. I spend most of my time doing that. Then, when it's time to actually with the sims I make, I get kind of bored. And btw, it's turning out pretty good indeed!

It's a current bug, that some locks aren't pickable atm, but the stuff is still in there. Same with the spiders in the goblin camp - that lock isn't puckable any more, you have to destroy the gate to save the spiders.

I don't like the vocals in this game unfortunately. Even the one in the CC. I thought it sounded too high and toned the volume down so I could barely hear it. They should have done what CDPR did in Witcher 3 for Presillca's piece. It was sung by Emma Hiddleston. There's only the lute and her voice.

I'm a huge opera fan, but I never liked the voice of Montserrat Caballe, which is considered one of the best modern sopranos. I can acknowledge, that she is objectively talented, but subjectivly I hate her voice. As for only using the shown instrument and voice, I think the bard in DAI was done right in that regard. With my druid Lyana I'm in the goblin camp now. I killed the goblins in the yard and freed the cute little owlbear cub, then I proceeded into the temple, where the leaders have gathered and surprisingly, they are still friendly. I freed the prisoner, Spike and his cronies were torturing and then went to talk to Abdirak. I did his penance, to see, if they had fix the blessing and they have. You now get an inspiration point from doing and succeeding the penance. Love Abdirak, he is such a strange character, wish, he would become a companion or at least a camp follower. They must have something more planned with him, since he has unique features. After that, I freed Volo from his goblin admirerer. He is a bit annoying, but I couldn't let him end as stew. Then I killed the first of the leaders, priestess Gut and opened the way to the Underdark. Gut and Minthara you can kill easily without aggroing the big group around Dror Razlin. I like to be on high ground before tackling that group. Then I freed the spiders, there is a new animation, when talking to them.

It looks like some of the music in BG3 isn't going to be in my music-to-listen to list. I rarely talk to the spiders. I did it once and it was like "meh" so I generally let them free but never talked to them. I think by the time the game fully launches, all we've seen so far will be vastly different.

In SWs BF 2.
So probably through one of the bits of this game that gets a little long in the truth and in the same way. On Naboo. And well the ground bit on Naboo actually didn't really give me too many issues...I think i got it all done one time with Leia. But then the Han mission happened with the waves of Stomtroopers. So I basically had to stop mid mission again when I had to jump into the controls of the Falcon.

I noticed that I practically only like building and decorating houses in the Sims. I spend most of my time doing that. Then, when it's time to actually with the sims I make, I get kind of bored. And btw, it's turning out pretty good indeed! Thanks I personally tend to spend a lot of time in CAS...play a family for a few hours, get bored and repeat the process used to be I was able to spend hours on end playing Sims, but these days the games are getting less and less entertaining, at least imo.
I ended up changing the entire house in the end, but it does look better now. I'm terrible at building houses so when I build one that I'm happy with I'm very proud. However I did once build an entire house using a floor plan I found on the internet, was able to reproduce it almost in it's entirety...with the exception of one staircase. Irl. you can build stairs on a diagonal...but you can't do that in Sims
I know people are working on a contender for the Sims, called Paralives...and from footage I've seen thus far they've included round walls and you can build stairs on diagonals, so yay excuse the blurry image but you get the idea and the vid with it in action

Halcyon 6.
A pixel spacegame that's part base-management and part turn-based-strategy.
You are the leader of the titular base, and the New Terran Federation comes under attack from alien goo-monsters, being nearly decimated in the process.
You are in command of the sole remaining Federation outpost, and have to secure supply lines and rebuild the once great fleet and stave off extinction.
The game has loads of random events that can take place based on your choices and what you build, with a lot of tongue-in-cheek references.
My favorite one is when training new crew, one of the cadets has an allergic reaction to an experimental serum and ends up a super-soldier; great stats but has no experience flying a ship. The cadet's name?
Bucky Rogers. XD
He's great at training more crew and for defending the base against monsters hiding in the internal wreckage (it's a big base), but can't pilot anything larger than a shuttle.
Another bit is when I was clearing rooms (a la XCOM) a monster was revealed. Normally you have the option to engage in combat or retreat. But this time a crew member advocated for "xeno-rights", suggesting I don't kill it. I chose to hold a short committee to try to "tame" the sludge-monster and she ended up killed by said sludge-monster.
The motion was quickly dissolved. So sometimes it's not very nice.
Again, this all pixel, so everything looks "cute".
On the strategic side, combat is all about combos and there's three different ship types. Tactical: combo detonators and precision strikes, good at dodging Engineering: lots of HP and repair options; low speed Science: combo primers, shields, and debuffs; high speed
You could make a loose analog to Rogue, Warrior, and Mage, respectively. BUT the class system for your Officers leaves plenty of options.
One could go with three Tactical vessels or two Engineering vessels and a Science vessel for a fleet, but it's simply better to have one of each. Each class has options, I've had battles where my Tactical ship did the debuffing, my Engineering ship was the damage-dealer, and my Science ship handled repairs.
I could go on, but that's the core of it, pun intended.

Finished Rage 2. The shooting was fun, but I don't think I've ever cared less about a story. I was even skipping dialogue at times. Tracking down Spy Drones for that sweet platinum trophy was a pain, but the community really came together on that one. And two years later I greatly benefited from all there leg work, so thanks gaming people! Haha.
