Sleeping Dogs Got past the race that I was stuck on, which maxed out Wei's "Face" meter, which means 40% discount on vehicles and clothing. Which means shopping spree! And goodbye 2 million Hong Kong dollars. Guess the other 2 will be spent on pork buns.
Speaking of pork buns I wish the eating animation took longer/you could control the pace. Because it would be so chill to just walk around while enjoying an ice cream or food on a stick. Because Hong Kong is beautiful and there are so many little things going on in the background, but it's hard to slow down and enjoy it when you got so much stuff to do.
Yakuza 6 lets you walk around with a drink and hold b to chug it down and I found myself slowing down more often with it just to enjoy the view. Sure that dude was clinging for his dear life on the roof top, but just got to take the time to enjoy this fresh lemon soda.
Anyways also finished the local martial arts fight club quests, which is nice because they are kinda boring. Insane in the final rounds, but the lack of brutal finishers is a bit of a bummer.
Equipped a SWAT uniform to deal with the last two drug busts since it blocks 50% of bullet damage, unlike the t-shirt which surprisingly does nothing. Made one of the busts easier and the other sillier since I had to run away to heal up then sneak attack them from behind. Good times.
Think I bugged the game since suddenly all the vendors are terrified. That or the game told them who the driving menace is... At least it's a bit amusing to have the pork bun man offer me all his money and his wife and the parking lot attendant going all "Why are we fighting :'C" when Wei is chilling in clean clothes with a strawhat unlike when he's drenched in blood and it's just business as usual. Maybe they think they are his next blood paint... Granted I think it's because I changed outfits while wielding a gun and Wei just yeets his weapon when he looses interest in it. Like just tosses it on the ground, boring now! May have gone off or something.
Main story wise did the wedding and it was tragic as expected. Kinda had forgotten about the whole ordeal so things were pretty fresh. Which was nice. Then had to deal with a serial killer and was a bit more ahead in the plot so panicked when I saw that one of my gang was the victim. Then got confused since I've got no idea who that dude was. Did look him up and he was there but who dis? But the mission was fun. Had espionage and stuff. Then did some stuff for Miss Chu. I remembered that bit pretty vividly. Forgot how the second mission went down, which was fun because it was fresh. And oh so gory. I knew fish were the devil incarnate. Then some fun at the hospital. Did remember most of that. Spent some time with Jackie had forgotten how that mission would play out so it was nice and panicky when it should be. Then took a very important person on a karaoke date, which unlocked the best girl Ilyana. Best because she revealed all the unopened lockboxes on the map, so I can get on with opening them up at last. Also opened up the last karaoke song and now I got a shiny new achivo since I got all the songs in 97-99% rates. Happy about that.
So it was a very fun session.

Ace Combat 7As much crap as I have given Mihaly...bit of a theme. I do admit the final duel between him and Trigger with him in the X-2 is pretty hella cool. Despite that one stupid line actually appearing in it again. And once more it does seem like this battle did go on a little long for me because I found it curious eventually the rail gun just stopped firing and he would engage me with regular missiles for the last of the fight. Now it is a curious twist in the gameplay loop for AC 7 because *technically* you have infinite missiles...as if the 136 regular missiles and 88 XMAA weren't enough... I point it out because it was just enough. I got him with the last two missiles. So lets see I got all the way up through Lighthouse with taking down the Arsenal bird and well 1. I did run into another fun little bit with the final shield coming down bit this time I had to break off just at the last minute and I think if the shield had not come down I would have blown up. And 2. It was annoying I came thhhiiiiiiiisssss close to actually killing the AB on one try but of course...I Fox Foured the thing. Now it is a bit of the fascinating problem with games because it seems almost universal, now I stress I still love this game to bits but always I tend to notice more and more problems the more times I play the game. Still Tier 1 but this PT as I have mentioned the dialogue is just a bit grating at times and well I did notice perhaps a major plot hole. In the previous mission earlier you run into the Eurusean Liason Plane with the Doctor, the Princess, and the Grandaughters...but later on in the cutscene stories the Scrap Queen runs into the same plane being shot down, but just the princess...and later on we run into the Doctor and the Grandaughters in a completly seperate location. Now I suppose the answer is rather obvious: The plane dropped them off before taking the princess elsewhere...but I am quite sure that was not mentioned so a bit of a weird plot disconnect if not a downright plot hole.

Booted up Skyrim for the umpteenth time. As the old saying goes, "You never get bored with Skyrim, you just take breaks."
I'm doing mod setup that's light but deep. Not a large amount, but ones that are constant and/or far-reaching.
Inigo and Lucien are my bros, and the fact they interact with EACH OTHER is amazing. I'm also running Kaidan, who has interactions with Lucien, so my team feels more "alive".
Even better, a recent update to Lucien gives him dialogue that calls you by name, ranging from lore-friendly names like 'Magrathor' and 'Aventus' to **normal** names like 'Michael' or 'Alex'.
Inigo has a physical fighter, with a good bow and roguish proficiencies, so he's my Archery and Lockpicking specialist. Lucien is an all-rounder, but he tends towards magic, so he's my Destruction mage. Kaidan's another physical fighter, but favors his Akaviri daikatana, so he's my Heavy Armor and Two-Handed offensive. Me, I've opted for a bit of everything, with a focus on shields and Restoration.
I have a bit of everything, so I'll open with an arrow shot from stealth and swing my sword, or throw an Elemental Flare and tackle an easy lock.
While Skyrim is not designed for team-sized gameplay, it's still fun ambushing bandit camps with my own unit of adventurers.

SWTOR Of bugs and Nobles. Or something like that. You know, Alderaan. While I remembered a bit of the Imperial Agent story stuff on Alderaan. I had totally forgotten that they were the only class that used the "noble" part to the extreme. They are pretty much DA Orlesians nobles. Those Cortess are just missing the French accent. For every other classes and the planet story, the "nobles" don't have so much court rules and apparat. But the Cortess have a guard doing intro/outro when talking to the Baron and fancy talking + mention of dogs. Everything! Note that the person who wrote the Imperial Agent story did not work on Dragon Age (Alexander Freed basically only worked on SWTOR at BioWare, although he helped with comics on other franchises. He's more of a freelance Star Wars writer, he even wrote the Rogue One movie novelization). Cipher Nine was sent to Alderaan to "follow the money" and cut some terrorist funding. So my Agent went to see those Cortess, well first she went to see Vector Hyllus. Who's a special Imperial diplomate on Alderaan. See, he has joined a Killik nest (aka hivemind), on purpose. And Vector suggested to go see the Cortess, because the paper trail showed who she was looking for went to meet them. After a bit of "you scratch my back, I scratch yours", now she has a name and someone to find... It's somewhat interesting. Every chapter 1 planet class story post Capital is basically find person X for every classes: - Bounty Hunter: Great Hunt targets - Trooper: traitors - Imperial Agent: terrorists - Consular: Jedi masters - Sith Warrior: "find" people for his master - Jedi Knight: it's more find prototype weapon, but each one has "missing person X" attached Exception: the Inquisitor is searching for artifacts and the Smuggler does stuff for Risha. No wonder that the Smuggler has the best Chapter 1. Each planet has a different objective.

Just recruited Shinjiro in Persona 3 Portable, and added him to the Tartarus party for the end of Lunar Cycle. My f!Char also just hit level 38 and upgraded to the Taraka persona (I limit myself to one persona at a time; also only use female personas from four arcanas that match my character concept and story). The story has been really engrossing since the SEES team discovered Aigis.

Also seems like not many people finish the game, the achievement for completing the main quest is sitting at 5.4% That's too bad. I enjoyed my whole experience with it; I believe I exhausted all the character dialogue too. I assume the achievement is tracking Steam or online accounts for the remaster? Personally, I still play the original PS3 disc.
I saw an earlier post where you said you were playing as a Battlemage. I did too. Did you keep that class, or try something else instead? I used Hammers/Chakrams on my Paragon (Might/Sorcery), who used the Quake, Relentless Assault, Ice Barrage/Winter's Embrace, and Summon Faer Gorta abilties.

Genshin Impact I'm having a blast exploring, discovering all small treasures, stories, places. Venti's skill that - out of combat - creates air current you can use to raise into the air is extremally helpful. Plus sceenshots done during it look really pretty, which a screenshot maniac like me greatly appreciates.

Ya that's the steam tracking for the Remaster. I'm sure consoles or even Origin since I think that was before it hit steam have a higher rate with the original version. By the time I finished I ended up using the Universalist fate card, bit of points in everything. I didn't use any of the sustained abilities simply because I hate the visual effects attached to them, but mainly used lightning, ice, the poison dagger throw, the weakness aoe stomp thing, then alot of points just in the weapon abilities and increases. Weapon wise I went sword/Dagger by the end of it

Star Wars Battlefront 2Keep on going back and forth on this game...obviously...I almost am ready to put it away again but then the last mission was such a biotch so I did not want to play it since I was so exausted. So I decided to go on and jump on Battlefront 2 instead and muck around on co op...still not doing HvV...and well chatting with my wife during all of this so probably a good idea to not play HvV during this to get the last thing I need for BF 2. But yeah amazingly enough, and pretty much the only reason I am bothering with this, but the highlight of this play session was I kind of got into a good groove with Palpatine of all people. I kind of actually discovered he kind of has the BB8 syndrome with him that he is very much of...what I like to call...a bit of a grenade...just throw him at the enemy and he can just wipe out like 6 rebel soldiers at once with the chain lightning. So I got a good 30 or 40 kill streaks going with him. And yeah. It was cool. And well there was another instance where I was Obi-Wan on Kamino and just a whole squad of Battledroids rushed right up just as I was gearing up for a force push so they really just flew back into the air...muahahaha. So yeah other then that I think I am struggling a little bit more then usual with a win ratio of .500, or 5 out of 10.

Sounds a lot like my Ryder atm given how she's using her biotics She quiet literally being usingthem to throw anyone who gets in her way or body slamming them with Charge. Beemn great fun doing it too.

SWTOR Imperial Agent chapter 1 finished. I delivered eggs, killed some (a lot of) terrorists and heard an hypocrite make a speech. Oh and Vector is now part of Imperial intelligence and assigned to Cipher Nine. It such a random assignation, he wasn't even a trained intelligence agent. He's a diplomate. Big bad of chapter 1 stopped now. Lots of death thought. Not mine, just people. Story spoilers that spoil a huge twists Darth Jadus is such a big hypocrite: "I'm going to kill all my rivals and their powerbase because the only things Sith are doing is kill/fighting each others to get power over others. I'm trying to save the Empire from this!"
It is exactly what you are doing Jadus! You're not doing anything different from before. Being a coward and faking your death is the only difference. The only thing you want is all the power for yourself and your rivals dead.
He's captured now. I remember letting him go the first time I played an Agent.
The Eagle was actually more interesting than Jadus and that is despite being "Tarvus" from the Trooper storyline in term of background.

Sleeping Dogs. So finished the main quest today. Had completely mucked up how it went down in my head, so it was pretty fresh in that way. Also realized that a guy I was pretty sure died didn't. So hurrah for that! Now only if that worked for the other people too . Forgot how abrupt the ending is. But all in all it was very fun and I'm glad to have given it the full run it deserves. Also did the two DLC story missions, Nightmare in Northpoint and Year of the Snake and enjoyed them both a lot. Nightmare in Northpoint was funnier and it was nice to get some extra time with Vincent. And more Salty Crab, never enough of him. But Year of the Snake was also pretty fun. Happy that someone pointed out the carnage that has followed Wei since I started playing him. And yay more Teng! And she actually does stuff! Kinda. At least she goes outside. So to celebrate having gotten to the end. Here are two pictures of Wei. What he ended up wearing for the most part since it has the biggest Triad points boost. At least it matched nicely with all the blood. And what I would've probably made him wear if points weren't an issue. Nice summer yellow to bring the mood up during draining times. Also, it matches with the paint job of my favorite car in the game, the Blast. And now to figure out what to do next.

azarhal I always felt Jadus was way overrated by the community. Dude has like a cult following. Though the moment when you can talk him down if you select all the proper options is pretty damn good. Also each outcome he is still alive, so I totally expect to see him again at some point My sub time in that game just ran out, don't think I'll reup it at this point. But I've just been doing alts in the main campaigns anyways and don't need to sub for that so all is good. Did some more Detroit, the ways the different characters can somewhat cross paths so far has been pretty cool. Connor can have some pretty bad ass moments as well, def my favorite out of the 3 playable. And seriously can't be said enough how damn detailed the character models look in this game.

Ace Combat 7
Surprisingly it only took me 4 times to beat the final mission of the campaign proper bwfore starting in the DLC missions. I guess it always throws me for a loop...which I suppose is good writing...when you think you are all done with it and then 'wait did they change something...wasn't their a tunnel section?... well we are all in formation so...oh the princess is speaking right.' crashed twice in the tunnel and then twice in the final room/ space elevator tube. But always epic going up there. Speaking of good writing though I did feel a bit bad when Sol 2 bit the bullet in the final mission.
So the DLC missions are a bit...melodramatic and anime? But still gooey goodness. I actually really like the first two missions of it but the second one is just so long so if you die you have to start it all over again. I forgot the first mission was a 'conquest mission' until I was like seven minutes from finishing but I was able to actually get through it, hell in one attempt. But despite them being conquest missions I do like that they actually did throw in evolving mission objectives and then combat gimmicks on top of that. First off having to deal with your own ECM and then enemy ECM...one making you better one making you weaker....I think it really does improve your misiles a lot, seems to make them shoot faster....and then the suicide drones that chase you down as you are having to bomb their base. And then of course 'Rage' and 'Scream.' I basically ignored them and focused on the AA positions...you know my job. And then they returned in mission 2 and well they had ECM interfering which made them frustrating...but I did get them, ironicallu that part was in one try too.

SWTOR Chapter 2 of the Imperial Double Agent I moved into Chapter 2 of the Agent storyline after clearing off Kaliyo's past love life (I shouldn't have done it, super annoying that you can't get ride of her in that quest). Chapter 2 is the place where you are told to pretend to join the Republic to become a mole inside a Republic spy team, but instead the team leader turn you into a double agent inside the Empire. Lets not talk about certain things openly like losing control of you character because of a brainwashing switch in your brain...
hearing Watcher X's voice despite him being dead. I killed him, I know he is dead...
and Hunter, but Hunter "whoa, wait a minute" is end of Chapter 3 stuff. Right now I'm on Taris (meh), looking for a bad Jedi for my new boss in the Republic. I also have a new codename. It's not Cipher Nine anymore, so please welcome Legate. Legate is in a team with Hunter, Wheel, Chance and Saber. My fav is Wheel, I just have a thing for droids. So on Taris to find that "bad" Jedi. The fun part is that I have to pretend everything I'm doing is for the Empire, when it's really not. Well outside the planet storyline and side quests...which make great covers for being there. That's one of the thing I like with the Imperial Agent, they have good excuses to do the side content. BH can use "I like money" too, but sometimes Sith Warrior/Inquisitor feels out of places.

Stellaris.
A weak, but cute race called the Jalpa was a trading partner to my Alliance for a few hundred years. They were so happy to be friends with my Alliance. Then they were invaded and enslaved by a xenophobic Empire just before mid-game unleashed havoc on the galaxy. I was prepared for this mid-game crisis while this ruthless Empire struggled a bit. Anyway, while they were distracted with the threat, I surprised attacked their Empire from the other side and liberated the Jalpa. They Jalpa were so happy and now remain my most stable and productive worlds in my Alliance. The Empire has threatened to take them back, but I've fortified their system even more than my home system maybe at the expense of other resourceful, but uninhabited systems. I've lost any chance of peace with the Empire and the rest of the game will be rough. But, these cute, innocent Jalpa are my priority now.

SWTOR
My jedi shadow Lyanna just finished Iokath, came to an agreement with SCORPIO and is now about to crash Vaylins party (literally).
This is the first time, I'm doing the chapters. I do like some stuff, but other things are annoying - for example: the Skytrooper - hate them. Love the Lana romance - she is one of my favorite characters - and love, that so many old companions come back. The party scene makes no sense. My girl has to dress up as a Zakuulian knight, with a normal sized helmet - but she is a Twi'lek, she couldn't hide her lekkus in there. Hopefully, it will be mentioned, that it is a holo disguise, but since Theron said, he can barely see anything with the helmet on, I'm not positive. That is just lazy writing. If you make races with lekkus or horns available, don't pull something like that.
Edit for the story:
This is Lyanna btw.

Finished up Detroit Become Human. Overall I enjoyed it quite a bit, though it did have a few performance issues here and there. Story was good, and each of the playable characters were solid.

I keep on ocassionally eyeing Stellaris and wondering if it would be a game I'd enjoy but alas the mountain of games I already want to possibly play is a bit...well...*thick* right now. Ace Combat 7So the final DLC mission that they released has to probably be one of the best missions in the entire series in total. Just imagine having to dodge missiles, rail gun fire, drones, racing against time, weaving in and out of shield defensive drones all the while this is blaring in your ear: Of course it does have the same problem as the final mission of AC7 proper where it has literally one objective too many, though this is probably a far more egregious example...and then of course as you keep dying even the awesome music can begin to grate lol. Which of course brings me right back to the moral question the DLC raises...again. Now I do want to make perfectly clear that I do not condone the actions of Captain Matias Torrens before anyone starts harping on me again. However it does raise an interesting point because...well again the DLC very clearly takes place between the assault on the IRBM base and the assault on the base at Cape Rainy, which is the first step towards the eventual second assault on Farbanti...which is when things when to complete and utter shite when Osea and Eurusea caused a technical apcolypse with them taking out each other's sattelites AND THEN on top of that the drones almost uploaded their combat data to the Space Elevator and then to factories all over the continent which the briefing officer claimed would make the war go on...I think the word he used was indefinitley. But yeah given the drones atonomous programming and orders and apparently no way to counteract said orders at that time I think it is quite possible that Torrens prediction of, essentially, trading one million lives for ten million would be a bit conservative. Now the game is a bit cute with the casualty figures of the war...as in it never gives a firm answer...but just the damage to Osea's and Euresea's infrastructure...let alone the entire gloves...would take years to recover from. And it is the basic, though tragic moral conundrum in the first place, in any war this is the basic calculus, to kill x number of your enemy to achieve your objectives so y number of your people can live. However, as David North pointed out, he is still a mass murderer. Let alone the moral implications of the mere implication of killing a million people, in these terms the idea is usually to be a pure protector...there is also two rather large problems with his logic: 1. Even though Osea is a stand in for the United States in Strangereal so his plan might work...at the end of the day it might not. Nuking the Osean capital even with such a small bomb could have the exact opposite effect of what he wanted. It could stiffen Osea's resolve to fight. After all, despite this DLC vaguely being the plot to the Hunt for Red October...the Oseans could just as easily conclude that this was an Eurusean officer launching a mass casualty incident on their capital whatever his pretexts of stealing the sub is...David North pretty much raises this very point. And as such since Eurusea could've just as easily been behind it in fact or in terms of public opinion and since that was a nation state...and thus an easy target...then Osea could've retalitated with the full force of their arsenal. I wonder what the population of Farbanti is? 2. The whole point of the DLC, or at least David North's report, was to investigate the 'singulairtyness' of Trigger and to see if this was a problem the Oseans would have to deal with. (Gotta love governments) and well they do conclude that Trigger is in fact a singularity "Go Trigger's way and you'll make it". Now as I have mentioned before the DLC does a pretty good job of making Trigger look more special, more in line with traditional AC protagonists. But Trigger himself was the individual, the human element that no amount of mass calculation and collectovist thinking could ever account for. Yes, maybe Trigger only stopped the mission at the barest skin of his teeth...but he still did. One man, one singularity, was able to prevent Torrens's nightmare future from happening, thus ensuring that suggest moral reasons cannot come down to such cold calculus....that the world can be changed by one man, one decision, one event. as a more general note now that I am done with this game, again, it is just so off putting how short this is. After playing my fair share of 'open world' games and 100 plus hour experiences I only started playing this...what two weeks ago or so? But its just off putting because this game is soooooo goooood. I would love it for just more content so I can just keep playing it, and even as good as it is it still feels perhaps a little short...not quite worth the money I put into it...though then again I did get a copy of AC 5.... but Huxuan really has grown on me this PT. And Count, he's a butt but he is my butt. Next stop, Rapture.

SWTOR I got my Sith Inquisitor Lady out of Quesh. Then went to check on her old buddy Harkun on Korriban. You know the overseer who just wanted her to die so his pet would become Lord Zash's apprentice. Yeah that guy. He had a new batch of slaves Sith initiates and Kwyn needed to replace her apprentice, euh, Zash other apprentices. Whatever. Next Hoth with more pirates, ghost and lots of cold and snow. My Jedi Shadow had a chit-chat with the people in her ship. About Athis station. About traitors...and about helping the alliance with a group of soldiers on Hoth. More Hoth again. My Double Agent advanced a bit in the Tarisian swamp. I'm starting to think I shouldn't bother with the side content on that planet if I ever want to get out of there. I also played my daily GSF on her. I also been thinking of playing a Bounty Hunter, mercenary to be precise, for a few days. I already had a BH, but the powertech variant, stuck on Belsavis for like 2 years. So I made one, it's not like I lack character slots anyway. The first idea was just to create the character and wait for double XP (which usually happens around May 4th), but I ended up blasting things with missiles around Hutta without starting the class story. I got to level 6 before I turned in the starting cantina side quests even. I really needed that I think, just dumbly blasting stuff.

It's a lot of fun, if strategy games are your thing. Stellaris was $1 USD for a while too- insane. I think it's still under $10 on Steam for now, pretty good bargain considering what you get. I have a few expansion packs but not many. You can easily play and experience a lot with just the base game. In fact, starting out with too many expansion packs may be overwhelming for new players. Downside to Stellaris is that the tutorial isn't amazing, so you may find yourself doing homework and watching YouTube videos just to understand how to keep your populations employed and how to properly balance planet resources, etc.

SWTOR More dumbly blasting stuff on Hutta. On my lunch break (still working-from-home), I took ~30 minutes to bring my new BH to level 10 by launching missiles at things on Hutta. Poor things on Hutta, getting slaughtered left and right with no reasons outside them standing there with a red or yellow nameplate. I now have the BH game launch signature ability: Death from Above. It has a 45 seconds cooldown. Every other classes but the Mercenary has a short cooldown (or none) for their large AOE ability. Well the classes with them, sorry Jedi Knight, Sith Warrior and Shadow/Assassin no large AOE for you. Why can't I murder things while floating in mid-air more often? It's important! In 45 seconds I can slaughter 5-6 pack of enemies without Death from Above. The CD is so long that it goes with the "never going to use" abilities.

Wrapped SoD, moving on to BG2EE
Overall, I thought Beamdog did a very good job within their design constraints. Although it does make me wonder why they didn't lift some of those constraints. Surely BG2EE could have had a proper save import retrofitted into it, and the guest list at Chateau Irenicus didn't have to be set in stone (assuming VA availability). But I have no access to financial projections for the project.
Not too impressed with their technical/management competence, though. There are some really stupid bugs still extant, and patching low-quality audio into BG2EE is just bizarre.
But the bottom line is that it successfully delivered more of the same, which was the point.
