Sims 4 Been playing a bunch of it with my friend. Actually got a sims I've bonded with again after my big family broke. Her name is Kim Butcher, she's been mostly going through the uni content and painting/knitting. Got a cat and is probably graduating next session.
Figure she'll be the first sim I use a potion of youth on since she hasn't got any kids yet (usually have like at least three, so it's kinda weird just having her) and is getting close to elder. And I just want to spend more time with her. It feels nice.
Since google hangout has moved to google chat we once again had massive problems setting up the mikes and stuff. But it paid off because google chat has captions, which don't translate so we had a blast watching it struggle trying to figure out what we were saying. Then laughed even harder at it trying to understand when we spoke in English. Really wish you could save a transcript of the chat because we'd have the third round of laugh reading it again after forgetting the context.
SMT IV Have been playing it on and off over the week. Seems like I'm firmly tucked into the Law ending, which is not surprising at all but supposedly the canon one is the Neutral one and not sure if I can be bothered to replay the game for that. And supposedly getting that end is a pain and a half as well. So might have to watch it on youtube or something.
But it's been really nice to play the game. Upgrading the recruitment skills was a massive game changer and having more options in demons is also super nice. Guns are also nice. Also enjoying the fact that I don't like where the law route is going at all. I also hate the idea of the chaos route. So trying to shift towards neutral but figure either way I'll feel awful. Which is excellent. Love it.

Madden 22Got two more games in. A real tense squeaker at 28-27 against the Cowboys and then a 56-13 route of the Reskins. If you know...you know. As the first game implies had a real tight affair and even had to do one of those mythical fourth quarter come backs to win with a touchdown towards the end of the game. In general though had to punt early in the fourth quarter which was tense but my defense held up well forcing an interception which then allowed me to drive down the field and win. Had two costly turnovers of my own, pic in the red zone and a fumble near there...one of those ridicilious kind of fumbles where Godwin was on the ground for a good couple of seconds and then the ball popped out. Second game the Football team was really no match for me. James White fumbled early (yes I traded for him) and that made it only 7-6. But then kind of went off from there and the next points they would score would be in the fourth quarter. Had a really great air attack going at first but then balanced it out towards the end. Brady had 6 TDs against Washington and then Fornette and Jones had a rushng touchdown each. Threw for 399 yards. Both games combined was kind of the Gronkowski and Evans show with some features here and there from other players. Gronk had like 6 TDs in total and he was just huge in the Dalles game...well 6 TDs and two games I believe over 150 yards. Really relied on him on the Dallas game though as he became a wrecking ball on third down. Evans got going with 9 catches of his own for 101 yards. Still trying to keep all the features of this game in mind as I work it but its hard to remember. So much easier to just hit one button rather then two. Of course I think I am using the left stick to do the reciever leading thing, but then there is no real indication if its working either.

Wasteland 2
Been shooting my way through Arizona successfully and have now entered LA. Unfortunately I have also made a mess of things... This is a game where you can completely fail major questlines by doing things in a bad order. And unless you reload an old save from hours ago, you gotta live with the consequences.
I attacked the Red Scorpions early on because they attacked me first. Later I learned I could have worked out a truce of sorts? Oh well.
I did manage to make peace between two waring native tribes. But only after I looked it up because none of my choices got a good ending. Found out I need to type a code INTO THE KEYBOARD!!! Was wondering what that keyboard was for. Omg, how is anybody supposed to realize I needed to do something so outlanding this one time in the entire game?! Well, at least I did something good then in the end for that faction. One of the few things I got right even if I needed help.
Then I went to the crazy nuke worshippers. Had a choice between letting those crazies be or help another group of assholes take over the canyon. Decided not to talk to the other gang for now but then I was already at the warhead silo where I only had the option to give the crazies another one or defuse it. So I defused it. Which led to EVERYONE hating the rangers and when I went back down the canyon, it was a bloodbath. Oops. Plus all remaining side quests had failed obviously. Not sure there's a good outcome though. Either you let a bunch of crazy suicide bombers continue to extort everyone who needs to pass through the canyon. Or you wipe those out and help a group of organized raiders do the same thing, just without suicide bombers. So maybe in the long run it's better this place gets a fresh start...
Then I went back to the Prison, the former ranger HQ where the Scorpions are. They were again hostile and I wiped them out. During this lenthy battle I kept hearing horrible dog noises. Once the battle was over I found 8 dying dogs. Couldn't fix them up so I shot them. Went back to the farm close by only to learn I could have gotten the cure from the one surviving dude there.
GODDAMN IT, I killed those poor dogs for nothing! Was the worst gaming moment in a long time. Almost cried.
So, all open side quests in that area also failed. All righty, better get out of Arizona fast, lol.
My epilogue is going to be a depressing mess, I know it. Regardless, enjoying the game. The endless backtracking through confusing winding maps is annoying the crap out of me. Don't have time to waste on terrible level design... So I decided not to do one side quest because the idea of running several minutes through that one map AGAIN was too unappealing. There is no fast travel in this game. It's not fun to revisit these places if you fail to do everything while you're making your way through ti for the first time.

My Time at PortiaSomebody broke my mailbox and left me some hate mail! I told the Civil Corps and they will handle it. Hopefully. Good luck Arlo... After that, I did my daily commission (Friday always have some good one too). Cut some trees, fished a lot and then there was a town meeting where we learned that Dee-Dee transports were a go. I made all 5 weeks ago. GW2So I complained about spending money to get my Leatherworker to 500, finally I made around 5 golds in profit with the process. No counting the price of material I already had, only spending money to buy what I was missing. Yesterday, Anet also showed the last 3 new Elite spec (beta next week). Mechanist, the Engineer, looks awesome. Lots of old time Engineer hates it because they lose their precious toolbelt skills and they don't want a "pet". But it look awesome!!!! Good thing I started my little engineer early. I even took the right personal story steps, both are related to golem (Asura mechs). I even found the perfect look for her once I reach level 80 and get the "final" gear. The Thief also got Specter, which is the elite spec the Necro should have gotten instead of Harbinger. Almost makes me want to take my Thief out of retirement.

Getting my ass handed to me by the undead in the Disciples: Liberation demo. Still 3 more days to go for the full launch, so I am carefully rationing it, until then. Getting fucked by the undead helps stretch it out. Had a chance to try the full game yet? Been thinking of getting it, once I have some time to play.

Madden 22First up beat up on the Jaguars like 49-28. I think EA thinks better of Trevor Lawerence then he actually is (Poor kid). Brady finished with the high 300s in yards and I had pretty even contributions from everyone and had a good ground game going. 4 TDs with Brady and then actually I think I had more run plays then passing plays which got me...well now that I am thinking on it just around 200 yards on its own and 3 rushing TDs from Fornette. Scotty Miller did make a great catch here to where I recognized he was going to be one on one based on his route and was confident with his speed he could beat his man and he did for a corner touchdown. Then kind of of a stompy revenger motivaated game against the Jets. 59-14. Again had contributions from everyone because Brady went an eye popping 41-47 for 508 yards and 6 TDs. And the amazing thing was the Jets were so scrappy I actually was able to get a ground game going as wel since I ran 80 (!) offensive plays. Fornette had 2 and I think Jones had a TD. Also went three for four on field goals...I think. Maybe in that case just Fornette had two. But Godwin had 10 catches for 139 yards and 2 TDS. Gronk had 8 catches, around 100 yards, and 3 TDs. Mike Evans had 7 catches for 72 yards, Scotty Miller had 7 catches for 92 yards and I think OJ Howard had the last TD. Because of something I saw I was looking at the stats at the end and pressure was the key to victory. Beat up on their quarterbak and got six sacks. Which does lead me to one complaint that I have. At the end of the game it shows a whole bunch of stats on your team did and some of the ones on the bottom seem to be randomized. At the end of the Jets game it was QB pressures which seemed to say I won that battle 20-2. Which is amazing. But checking the stats after the game well first of all a lot of these stats you can't find by themselves...well all of them. And I would like to check because it does flash up on the screen so fast even if you don't skip it and is very hard to read. And well it seemed like it lies to because they did Sack Brady 3 times which should count as a QB pressure.

Getting fucked by the undead helps stretch it out. Had a chance to try the full game yet? Been thinking of getting it, once I have some time to play. I'm having a ton of fun with it. Got to a point where I am royally getting my ass handed to me. Just way too many enemy units and not enough crowd control for my forces. Having to fight mixed armies, with enemy tanks that die, only to get raised as undead and elven/demon archers that snipe my healers, as my units get sandwiched between two factions is not fun. Especially when the other side has each more units than mine, I get robbed of my back line and, therefore, their buffs or active skills and I need to split myself in two, I just don't have the manpower yet. Guess I'll have to go back to a previous map and pick up some quests that I've left in the middle. Hopefully, that will give me some edge?

Star Wars: The Old RepublicSo...recently I got bombarded by vid recommendations of this game on YouTube, and then I remember that I played this game once upon a time a few years back. Long story short, I dusted of my account for this game and started playing around. Started out with a Bounty Hunter 'cause who doesn't love sounding like Azula from Avatar The Last Airbender, am I right? However I soon realized I wasn't overly fond of the...politics of the Empire, and decided to try out a few classes on the Republic side of things. Tried out Smuggler but while I'm a fan of Han Solo's character, the story arc wasn't doing it for me. Finally settled on the Jedi Consular and I've to say...that's a class that speaks to me, and the story itself is very much in line with how I tend to play my characters in general. Mystical diplomat who's a sucker for knowledge and exploration and who looks out for the people around her.

Tales of AriseToday, I tried to complement the boss during a battle. "Nicely done...!" "You're slacking! Step it up!" "Uh, yeah. You got it." At least my buddy was there to console me afterwards. "Is she always like that? I don't know how you manage to put up with her." "What makes you think I'm managing."

Yakuza 0 Picked it up again after having been eyeing it for ages. And finally took down my two big nemesis, the Cat Scratch Fever achivo and getting 5 mil from batting in the Gold Rush batting challenge. Which I was not expecting to do and overjoyed of having done. Then did a bunch of story missions, which was super nice. Had also forgotten a bunch of in-between parts, so those were also welcome surprises. Now just biding my time until the finale when I can meet Amon once more and maybe, hopefully pummel him back into the hell from which he crawls out of. Which might even happen, but probably not. Then I'll just need to get Kiryu's cash to Majima so I can find/buy/craft all the weapons on the Dragon and Tiger list. And then and only then I can weep because I still got the Ultimate battles left and I'm not going to make it through those.
So all and all, good times.
Also been playing more Sims 4. Kim Butcher finally moved her boyfriend into her house and they had a kid together. Barry Butcher. Then they moved to the country and adopted another child Clinton Butcher, who gets the benefit of a loving home but the drawback of potentially having to raise his brother once their parents pass from old age. Or fire, there's suspiciously much of that in their cozy little house. Had a quick marriage in the hallway, then they adopted the third child, Antwan Butcher, just because. He's cute and really sweet.
So good times there as well. Also their cat ran away, but then she came back, the very next day. Or well, few days later but the song doesn't go like that. So once more, good times.

I moved my Beorning to another area after I finished the Epic story quests in Lone Lands. I was tired of that place and most of the quests left were in group areas. I probably could have soloed them, but it would have been a slog.
So now my bear is in nice looking Evendim, even if the next Epic book quests is bringing me to North Down which is "next door". I need a bit less brown and swamps for a while and Evendim is very pretty zone.
GW2
My baby Engineer is growing up so fast, level 56 now. She joined her order and is now on an "expedition" to learn more about the Grawls. I picked them because it's super fast to do and I didn't have the Skritts as an option.
She's a bit of a pyromaniac, likes to see enemies flat on the ground thanks to her thumper turret and she likes bombs. A very deadly combo.

It sounds just like one of the first Fallouts. I never played those. All I know is that technically this is a great choices game. At the same time the gameplay is really getting in the way of getting satisfying solutions. Like, I had that one companion with my squad the entire game. I had the brute force skill and the hard ass skill high. Then at the end of the second act she has to leave and I'm left with nobody to replace her skill set! So now I can't get to certain places or have conversations play out a certain way. You can't max out every skill with just your 4 custom squadmates. And the ones you do invest in you could have gotten with one of the companions later on in the game. So a ton of skill points are wasted or invested wrong. And it's constantly fucking me over. Or I'm sitting there for 10min trying to pass a skill check with a 12% success rate. Wasteland 3 did this so much better. You could either pass a check or not. It was no longer stupid RNG. Your skill was either thigh enough or it was impossible. You can have trinkets that enhance certain skills. One weighs 20 pounds!!! So I'm always borderline overencumbered with that character... I completely missed out on the backstory of one storyline because I couldn't pass the speech check to would have uncovered what was going on. Unless you completely ignore your weapon skills you're going to have a problem passing speech checks because there are 3 different skills to max. I really like the writing of the game and the "lesser evil" kind of decision making. But without a guide it's downright impossible to get the best experience and the best outcomes everywhere. And there's a big jump in difficulty when first entering the new map of LA. Enemies hit so hard. I blew all my money on a new set of weapons only to find a vendor 10min later who sold even better stuff. And then I was too broke. I've upgraded all weapons to the best ones by now after 45h or something. But I'm playing on the easiest settings and still almost died during a random encounter (!) in LA. Because the regular weapons did no damage against that faction. That was a "fun" surprise! VERY rough diamond of a game...

I started to play the updated version of A Dance with Rogues. (NWN1) I was enjoying the new content until I got out into the city, the new city looks much better, but the tall buildings and narrow streets make it a chore to play, you have to be panned right out or the camera just shows the buildings. I quickly uninstalled it and started again with the old version.

SWTORThe other day I convinced a friend of mine to play this game as well, however he couldn't make up his mind on what class. So we decided to play each of the classes for a short while to figure it out. I took mine to around level 10, giving each character just a few parts of their story mission completed
The ones I liked: Jedi Consular (my favorite so far), Imperial Agent, Sith Inquisitor and Bounty Hunter (decided to re-roll this one as an alien ) The ones I thought were alright: Smuggler, Jedi Knight And the ones I didn't particularly like: Sith Warrior and Trooper
though in the case of the Sith Warrior...I've been playing all my characters on the Light Side except for that one, so maybe it's more interesting as a Light Side as well Didn't really care for Trooper since...well, so far the mission itself is a bit boring imo. plus I don't really care for the whole military bravado
For now I'm just going to continue on my Jedi Consular though

Madden 22So been playing a lot of football over the last couple of days and yeah...hard to talk about it all. So I will do the most recent stuff. And well first off in general A. been practicing a bit because well football in general or at least Madden seems to have different pass types... bullet, lob, and touch. Thing is that the button for all three of them is the same exact button just if you play Madden you get five buttons for your five different recieving options on any one play. This is pretty much football one oh one but each button press covers the three types just how you press it. So yeah that is an issue because well its difficult for me who is a good football fan but not an indepth knowledge to know what is the best usage for each...I have theories...but when playing this for fun its hard to do so naturally do what is natural to you which is bullet passes for me. Ahem. Probably going on way too long and there is a quasi point for this trying to be better at the game without investing too much time in it. And second part is been creating my 'super fun times super team' with the Broncos. My go on and just do the team to mess around and live about a little fantasy. Which has been a long standing thing with me just creating these players to mess around with. Just with this version I didn't recreate my Shanon Sharpe analogue since I no longer like him and replaced him with the former Marine who did also play for the Broncos as a Tight End. Which is funny because I also went out of my way try and give him pretty even stats I wanted to create a depth guy...his final rating? 99 overall. I do not get Madden's rating system. So the games. Broncos and Texans which was a bit of a weird game. Dominated in the first half and then a frustrating second half. Which once again finicky Madden controls. Ended up winning like 49-20 but pretty much 35 of those points came in the first half. But well fumbled the ball 5 times and threw two picks in the second half. So that was...a bit annoying. Funnest play though was again practicing different things, bailing out of the pocket to make a throw and not just scramble and it works sometimes but less then a minute before halftime Courtland Sutton was on a seam, I was scrambling with Felton and then saw him wide open so I chucked him the ball for a 75 yd TD. Anderson finished like with 6 catches, not many yards but a couple of touch downs. Finished with Bucaneers and Lions and bit of a similar situation but not really because this time well played more ball control in the second half without delibertately sucking. First play of the game Brady connected with Evans for 75 yards and it was pretty much on from there. Didn't even run a lot of plays. But ran up a score on them. 28-7 at half time I think and then they came back up with scores right after half time with 3 TDs which made it clos ebut then I pulled away. Interception or fumble made it close but got a ground game going. Brady finished with 5 TDs, two picks and like 300 + yards. And Evans finished with 6 catches and 118 yards Gronk got involved, Howard even got involved for like 95 yards and 2 TDs of his own. So fun game. I must say though there was a couple of fun games I am not going into too much depth. Had to come back on the Bears. Even had a safety scored against me but was able to pull off a fourth quarter come back.

LoTROEvendim is a lot more bucolic early on near the Shire. I helped some hobbits with their farms. Picking up tools, taking care of the animals in the pens, picking up flowers. Help making pies. Killing wolves. You know, normal hobbit stuff. Then I moved on toward the lake (the Evendim lake), but it started to rain and goblins/orcs showed up to break my countryside trip. GW2I did some pre-EoD planning. Pre-planning what gear I'm going to craft and work on making the stuff for it. I hope I'm not making a mistake with the medium armor. I've been thinking Celestial, which is basically "I don't know what to focus on". It raise every stats equally, but favors condition more than power. I already converted my ascended chest piece to it, now I need to craft the rest once I'm done making the daily material. My Time at PortiaI made 25k gols in less than a week. I'm not sure how, it wasn't just fishing as I didn't fish that much (but I did get 2 King fishes, which means 10k). I'll have to think about upgrading my house I think, but a smaller house mean more lawn space so I'm not sure I want to go there yet. The other option is the stable, I'll have to check if I can buy a horse already. I haven't even repaired McDonals stable yet (quest having popup-up so far). I also ran out of bronze bar again. *sigh* I now have 3 furnaces producing them at full capacity. Every time I build a stash, I burn through it in a day. SWTORthough in the case of the Sith Warrior...I've been playing all my characters on the Light Side except for that one, so maybe it's more interesting as a Light Side as well I found LS Sith Warrior to be excellent. My favorite after Consular story wise. It has some interesting force moment in the story as LS too.

SWTORContinued on with my Jedi Consular, got her off the first planet and even a few achievements in, so yay! I was also able to play and finish my first Flash Point mission, it was a lot of fun, my Consular got her first fight with a Sith too bad he didn't want to listen to reason...ah well So currently on Coruscant collecting holocrons to heal our Master, I'm already way over-leveled, but I don't really mind Qyzen is a very interesting companion so far, even if he often disagrees with my Consular's selfless acts of kindness

Yakuza 0 So made it to the finale and had a final showdown with So Amon vs Kiryu. And he kicked my ass. Over and over. Even put the game to easy and still couldn't make it past the final healthbar. So decided to look up tips and tricks and maybe take this seriously when I was reminded that I have a gun. A zap gun in fact. And unlike in Legend, he's quite vulnerable to it on normal/easy. So emptying the clip into him was both satisfying and successful. Jo Amon put up quite more of a fight, especially when he stopped being shocked by the gun. But thankfully I could shoot him between his attacks and unlike him I came prepped with healing items for days. So eventually he too went down and the achivo and his sunglasses were mine! Woo. Then spent ages finding weapons via Dragon and Tiger. So many hours getting all those Crazy Successful searches. And then I got the final item. And realized that I read the achivo wrong and Equipment Parts is not weapons but the material used to make them. Then found out that having the luck item screws you over in finding certain items. And paying extra to complete the expeditions earlier also screws you out on lower ranked items... So while in reality that search took way less time, it felt so much more tedious. Now just got left to enjoy the grand finale. And I guess the proving grounds as well but...maybe later.

Madden 22So the bug has bitten me. I want to play other games and get back to other stuff yet then I think 'well I still have that to see or that to try' and the desire to play it is still quite strong. So we will see what tommorow's WDYDTD post looks like. Just had pretty much enough time to play one game and it was a legitimate hunting expedition against the Steelers. 66-17 I think it was. I might have mentioned but I have this thing where I throw a interception with Brady I like to balance it out with a TD pass...so that does leave a lot of time for passing plays in general because the objective is to score and then of course generally I also pass a lot in the final two minutes of the quarter if I just got the ball and have to drive a signifcant distance down field. So I threw two picks in a row and well that led to two TDs in a row which then led to the two minute warning so as a result I think I had like a 40-10 pass to run advantage in the first half. Which is also funny because Chris Godwin had 9 catches for 141 yards in the first half but then none in in the first half. Anyways by the time the game finished I had 50-40...which was ninety plays...which is ridiciulious I think. Mike Evans finished with like 12 catches and like 139 yards, OJ Howard had 4 and 95 and a couple of TDs, and Gronk I believe had 5 catches. Obviously in an actual 'franchise' game there would be a better need to balance out that kind of thing and actually put in backups during a blowout game like that. Which might be important to keep in mind with the franchise's new fatigue system. Also developping a strategy to use in general for managing snaps players get in the half backs since half backs can touch the ball...a lot. Basically when I am in a situation where I can safely run out clock I alternate formations to ones that feature Leonard Fornette in one drive, then ones that feature Ronald Jones the next, though I do tend to switch back to Fornette in the red zone...he to scored three TDs. Which in general brings me to some problems...I can be very bad about not remembering everything I want to talk about when doing these. But two advantages the Bucs have over the Broncos. First off...both the Broncos and Bucs play books I think stink though I am too nervous to really change it to the Patriots and the Patriots playbook, while not playing the Pats yet, also don't have any plays that make me want to switch to it...but yeah not overly fond of the Bucs or Broncos roster but the Bucs playbook is better. Less RPOs, more draw plays, and well the only thing is that the Broncos roster might have one of those jet sweep toss plays I like, bit puzzled about it not having one but hey what can you do? Big thing is that the Broncos is weird in its Shotgun formations has like 4 formations with two Tight Ends...and the Bucs have that for Singleback, just with three. I prefer the latter then the former since while I do like two or three TE formations but Shotguns need to be a bit more...diverse in that regard. Second advantage is since I created super fun time Broncos team my HB, Kyth DeGreen, is both my starting back and my main 3rd down back and then the main power back. So he is going to be on the field constantly unless when I do a franchise I sub him out to give him rest or find out the balance to have him auto go out when he is getting fatigued. But the Bucks have three different ones for each, Ro Jo seems to be the general starting back, Leonard Fornette is the main Powerback, and James White is my third down back so that gives a fairly descent distribution of snaps...in theory...as long as I am sticking to my above strategy though it might be wise to still keep all this in mind because... Well I started my franchise. What I want to try next is play the first game to see how all the mid game goals work for the individual players. But well there is a lot new with Franchise mode then with NFL 18 (and they say these games don't change). First scouting. bleck. I should mess with it and honestly may have to restart the franchise so the computer worries more about that stuff more and didn't mess with that at all. New training and practive menus which has been completley built up from the ground up which...well first off you get information on your opponent so you have to select a game plan you think will fit it or that you want to run and then you have to set up a training regimen on which of your players will, and will not, participate in the training and how hard they will go at it which will determine their faitigue but also how much experience points they will get from practice and then the game itself I think. So that is fun. New choice based press conferences which aren't voiced and I fear there is not a lot of options for them but its still a nice touch (hint hire some BioWare writers they are one of your companies EA). A new coaching staff system with different coordinators that has skills which can help your team as well and you can level up. And I also really like how you level up your players now, instead of having a bunch of different stats to pick from they have archetypes...pick one of them and it will level up the stats to match that automatically. I think that works far, far, far better. Which it also gave me insight into these x factor and super star players apparently that unlocks if you start getting people into their nineties so that encourages you to play or practice with other players so you can get them up there. Still have to see how this all works in the middle of a game oh and bit concerned about the fatigue and trying to set up the 'auto subs' right.

Fire Emblem: three houses. I'm finally at the last battle. Need for sleep had postponed it. aside wanting to scream at the screen "can you stop piling awful stuff on Dimitri!? Of course the guy had a mental breakdown and became feral!!!" every two minutes in the last part of the story, I liked the ride a lot. It will be hard going for the other routes knowing some of these characters had no chance of survival. I lost my love for Petra, tho. If I get to recruit her in my next run, I already know my Byleth will basically run for the map angry mom mode "came here, I'm not going to hurt you! (too much)" the girl is like a soap, she always swish away from attacks.
