Started Red Dead Redemption 2 on PS5. I think I'll need extra SSD drive next Interested to hear what you think of it especially the gameplay as I have it in my to be played queue. Well, at least the beginning seems to be taking forever and there are somethings done a bit too complicated compared to other games, but the atmosphere seems to be good. Lets see what comes next Good voice acting, okay controls. I have gotten two deers for the gang.

Witcher 3
I did a lot but didn't really feel like I got a lot done.
Started off by hunting down Imerlieth and the Crones. Both of which are actually really fun boss fights. It was kind of fun rocking around with Ciri and I was able to do it all in one go. Kind of weird to me that the Crones were running around in their human form at first. And also kind of weird, I remembered the whole 'betrayal sequence', but then what was the whole clue that it was going to happen? Was it in the name 'Defier's Oren'. Funny to that Geralt was like 'tough son of a bitch' when I already killed him without taking damage. Imerlieth's first wave was kind of weird and frustrating but then the next bit as he was teleporting all over the map was fun...I went whirlwhind on him as he was blasting so he ran into me but it was kind of MAD because he did some damage to me to. Got him though.
Oh and I almost forgot! Bumped into Johnny and Sarah, bit of a surprise for the plot line being wrapped up...seems to happen a lot.
Off to running around other worlds with Avalach. Got through the breathless domain easier then I have in the past. This whole thing begs a couple of questions that A. what happens if Avalach dies? This very nearly comes up when he almost died in the land of the dying sun...which boggles the imagination on what that looks like. And B. So they jump through random worlds to get there, end up in the same world at the end...but then Avalach can just create direct portals afterwards? How does this work? And yes, Eredin continues to have the depth of a wet tissue paper.
Afterwards did a lot of the set up for the next missions and going on. Got the plot wrapped up for Dudu/ the new Whoreson was the main bit...and it wasn't that hard to tell the difference but then the game acts like it is a bit of a surprise. Does make one wonder on how practical this actually would be. Hope that I get to do the whole Radovid thing...

Hogwarts Legacy
Well, this game won the tussle. 😄 Was a little busy but was able to play a bit more.
I'm playing on story mode so it's not too difficult. Combat is good. For this game, the focus switches when you move the camera / mouse. Snapping from one target to another is fast and easy. Of course, it's in the early stages so it might get tough later.
I'm really enjoying the beginning. They have captured the atmosphere of the Harry Potter world. 👍 VAs are excellent. Animation, lip synch, dialogues so far are 👍
Went through the Sorting Ceremony and I just picked what interests me. Arissa goes to Ravenclaw. There is the option to choose another House but I stayed with it.

Lets see what comes next Good voice acting, okay controls. I have gotten two deers for the gang. I very nearly gave up on it during Chapter 1 (Colter) in my first PT. It is unforgivably slow. The gang moves hideouts shortly, and you have to do a couple of missions in Chapter 2. That's when the game opens up for you and roaming is more enjoyable. For me; it was definitely worth persevering with.

Speaking of giving a game a chance to impress...has anyone played through Middle Earth: Shadow of War?
I enjoyed Shadow of Mordor quite a bit, but this is a struggle. I am barely 4 hours in to it, which isn't enough to give it a serious chance, but I'm wondering when - and if - the fun will be joining me.

P3P Finished my lady run. The final boss was a lot more easier this time around, but the final phase was still pretty tedious. Also figured half way through it that I could've purchased the Armageddon spell for a free 9999 damage, since gems don't carry over to NG+. So that was fun. But I really did enjoy the run. But after having finished my lady run I realize I could've had a NG+ run with her. Just would've had to start on Maniac mode (since nothing carries over to it) and then drop the difficulty down to normal (because the port is nice like that) and then I could've played like a new game and gotten an extra option at the end. But no. I didn't do that. And I'm wondering if that's why I did not get an achivo for playing the game with both genders... I say as if I wasn't planning to replay it a few times more. But it makes it really tempting to do it this way, since the companion levels don't carry over into NG+ and I do love that lvl 1 grind. (Then watch me be wrong and it does not count for the bonus end scenes .) Speaking of other things I discovered. There is actually a full map along with the mini map. Not that it would've massively changed things, but still. There is also auto continue at the end of voiced lines. Which is neat. And the game looks a lot better with the contrast bumped up. So that's pretty neat.

I did Shadow of Mordor for 22.9 hours before I dropped it due to, I think, the grind. The combat started to wane on me and I was less enthusiastic with the Nemesis feature; I killed you already! Stay down! 😄 Darn it, I'll have to try to cut off your head next we meet. I didn't give Shadow of War another look after hearing about doling more $$$ into gameplay. Besides, I didn't finish the first one and I doubted the second is any better. I'd probably try to finish the SoM some day if I'm in the mood for endless mindless whacking and for the sake of completing it.

I think I finished the SoM story in 25 hours, so you might've been very close to the end! Fair enough, though. I liked SoM, it wasn't great, but it was fine. And NZD$13 for SoW with all the story extras didn't seem like too bad a deal. I may retract that opinion if I don't end up going much further, though.

I played it at launch, and I don't remember much of the specifics, I do remember really enjoying it though. When my PS4 was fried in a thunderstorm, initially I wasn't too concerned about losing my game saves and the like, until I realized that I'd never be reunited with Narug the Slippery ever again! LOL. I started a new playthrough a few months back, and I was pretty frustrated with the beginning, with the amount of setup and not letting me just do what I want to do. And then I got side tracked by something else, so I don't have an answer for your question. As I mentioned before I did have a blast with the game years ago, the Nemesis system is more robust, Prak the Berserker haunted my dreams. Haha. I will say if you are up for a choose your own adventure involving orcs, maybe persevere, if that is not the main reason you are playing, maybe drop it.

Thanks.

Hogwarts Legacy
So I tried to pick up lore etc by going up to paintings, statues and busts and using Lumos. Nothing happened. 😄 Then on an assignment, I saw a highlighted statue and used the clue so thoughtfully placed on it. I picked up a collectible. Ah ha. So the point is to keep an eye out on items that are highlighted,
I've been rolling everything that are highlighted. 🤣 Pet the cat, roll the gloves, got the glasscutters to work, etc. Found a couple of hidden chests. Also did a side quest of a mysterious painting frame. It's not difficult as the clue is nearby.
I'm not sure about the doors with the diagrams and numbers. Pretty sure a spell is needed and it's not on the list yet. I decided not to run all over and followed the quest trail. I figured it's probably pointless since most places would be locked behind higher level spells, etc.
Went to Hogsmead. Picked up all eight flying paper collectibles, some coin pouches and a few small chests. Came across three locked chests with eyes. Those eyes are certainly expressive; nope, you're not opening me! 🤣 I tried all four spells learned so far. Nothing worked. No surprise so I guess it's going to be something Arissa will learn later.

I had been playing P4G but after buying Persona 3 FES, I thought, well my motivation to try FES is never going to be higher, so I started playing it instead. I kinda figured I'd have love/hate feelings on this game, and so far I'd say that's rang true. I'm enjoying the story and the intrigue behind it, I liked that Junpei was a bit jealous of the PC, when most companions in these games are like, the leader is good, the leader is great, I love the leader! Haha.
Grinding in Tartarus can be a chore, I don't like how most of your exp comes from stumbling across random purple/red enemies. Not being able to control your teammates sucks, I'm just playing on easy, so I mostly just laugh when they do stupid things. I did have one boss encounter were the boss must've had the same AI algorithm as my teammates, I got lucky there. I suppose as long as you survive the AI is very amusing.
Compared to later games there is a complete lack of things to do, during the summer break I was bored out my tree. I did find Makoto's summer outfit hilarious because he looks like coach, and then with him being everyone's councilor, very zen master, I wished I named my guy Phil Jackson after the NBA coach. LOL. I did look up a English to Japanese translations for Phil Jackson, it spit out Firu Jakuson, no idea how accurate that is, but I might use it in the future. Haha.

Hogwarts Legacy
There's day and night cycle. Night fell while I was busy doing a quest. When it came to reporting to the professor, the hallways, etc became empty. Oh, I thought, perhaps Arissa should get back to the Ravenclaw tower and call it a night. I wish. She can't go to bed and there's no point going to the tower. She had to wait for morning, in the professor's room.
It's sad. I'm really enjoying this game and along comes this stone that breaks the immersion. I wish the devs implemented 'go to bed' once it pass midnight and put all the kids in their beds, not disappear them when night falls. Yes, they're not in their beds.
I'm glad for the helpful quest tracker that shows you where to go because for sure, I can't remember where is where because there're so many staircases. Each area is different of course, there are differences but Hogwarts feels big and confusing. No doubt I'll know the locations well near game end.
I found out there is no chest storage for gear. To get more gear slots, complete Merlin challenges or sell / destroy unwanted gear. Transmog is already in the game.
As for the puzzle doors, I was putting numbers to the creature symbols on the door. Thing is, I forgot about the number zero which is why I didn't succeed in opening any of the doors. 🤣 Well, I found out my error. Opening the puzzle doors is just a simple case of mathematic.

I didn't get much done in AC Odyssey today. Getting your golden breastplate engraved is so expensive. So I'm just going around poor farming villages and taking everything that's not bolted down. They don't have much, but it all adds up. And these peasants are shoe-less dirt poor, so they're used to getting by with nothing. I just wish Kassandra wouldn't shoot like a girl. I stealthily fire an arrow to burn down a silo, and it's all "did you see anything? We have to find her".

The Witcher 3Finished up Ciri's bit with the troupe of rogues. Still tip toeing around not sure what the choice causes Ciri to go off herself and not sometimes and a bit torn. I think there is a little bit of a Henry Cavil effect going on here given I find Geralt to be so much more of a righteous character now in a very dark world. But yet the game reealllly encourages you to steal those horses. Still had Geralt complain about it after the fact. Which makes some of the next sequence a bit ironic. Went to go get Rita from the Witch Hunters. Which then led to that bit in the courtyard which was where I discovered the wonders of Whirl on my first playthrough way back as I cut the Witch Hunters to ribbons. An archer got me in round one. ROund two I cut the commander to ribbons again with whirl and then did some epic combat up the stairs against said archers. Kind of as an aside I do like it when combat is smooth and can go from person to person in one epic round...which happened a lot tonight. Bouncing around between enemies and I think on one bit I killed a guy with a heavy strike just to then follow through with a quick strike taking out another, like on finisher to finisher animation. Which then brings up the quick aside to...its finally happened...I got rid of Sun and Stars in there. Yeah I pretty much like the auto heal but there are just so many ways to heal you in this game right now, including the Troll decoction, that it does become superfilious. Instead I flipped it out for another 'general' ability, the one which gives you a lot more adrenaline points and higher generation, including with signs. It was instantly recognizable. And well despite what I said above I also was kind of mad enough where after the raid I picked a fight with a bunch of witch hunters. I lost...twice, but was able to sustain quite a flurry at the time. One of them was all like 'after we're done with the witches we're coming for you.' I did get further revenge when a lady led me to a trap of some witch hunters as part of the other Novigrad closed city quest which I do not think I did the last time... Last but not least rescued Phillipa from Djiskstra. I barely remember it on the why it pissed me off so bad the first time but I distinctly remember quite instantly going to break his leg the first time. Something in what he said just pissed me off on his audacity and everything going on, guess I just snapped. Thing is though that this time back when I was in talking with Movran Vorheis I did tunnel in on the conversation he had with Geralt on Ciri and the Emery's problems...then Geralt recycled that same conversation right to Djisktra in there. This does beg the question of course what happens if you don't have that conversation or aren't aware of the issues with the trade corps? And lets not forget though that a lot of this does depend on Ciri...which I do not plan on making Empress and I guess I missed out on that...really need to do that one day . But all the implications of all this is interesting because Geralt knows that this information is basically bull crap and lots of political wranglings even though that Geralt also knew that Cirilla is actually back, which Djiskstra missed. And then everyone was really dragging on the case that if Ciri was on the throne the war would end. Though in a way which may be a bad thing because that kind of retreating would just encourage Radovid to advance and conquer the North and establish a true domain. Except that I also know that Djistkstra and co is planning on killing him! Oh the weave this quest leaves. I almost forgot...of course ...I got to perhaps the best dialogue in the game. The whole situation with Bea and the ...or I'll throw you out. And then the whole exchange was just as delicious. 'lets just stop dancing around, cut to the chase, draw your swords.' quick fight ensues.

Hogwarts Legacy
The game gives an answer to a long asked question - "Is Hogwarts to blame?" Yes! Yes, it is. For everything!
You know that guy, Voldemort or something? He did nothing wrong. His kill count pales in comparison to what my fifth year student managed in just a few days after starting school. Who even needs Unforgivable Curses? And why the hell things like exploding people, cutting them in pieces, burning them alive, beating them in the ground, transforming them, etc are all perfectly fine and forgivable?
How is the whole Hogwarts region not a bloody warzone? Oh, yeah, we got clean up spells
So, how to describe an ordinary day of my Hogwarts life? Let's see...
"Dear diary, had a good night sleep. Decided to skip class today and went for a broom ride. Descended like the wrath of the Valkyries on the first poacher gang I laid my eyes on outside the castle. Burned half of them to death, beat the other half to a bloody pulp with any heavy rock laying around. Visited the nearest Goblin camp and went full Biological Warfare on their asses, letting some man-eating cabbages and plants chew them to bits (no Geneva convention to stop me yet, wohoooo). Had to do some Potions homework, so I hunted any poor animal that hasn't evolved yet to get the fuck out of Dodge when they hear my broom accelerating to killer speed. I have no idea how any animal still survives around here with all the ingredients we need and all the students roaming freely. Spent the next hour going invisible and Petrificus Totalling any poor thing in range of my wand.
You better believe I went into the Forbidden Forest. And honestly can't figure the big deal about it. Couldn't find anything in there even remotely as deadly as me. I should petition it be renamed as "The Pretty Safe and Lifeless Forest" from now on.
Teachers sent me to do some murdering around the valley, because apparently spells are taught based on our kill count. And if we are not creative enough in how we terrorize the populace, we might not get new toys to use later. Took the opportunity to rob every village house of its valuables. PS: Merlin is a fag! " If we take the game as a Hogwarts student simulator, we should just accept Voldemort was an inevitable victim of the magical education system. They be raising some serious serial killers in Hogwarts.
Don't get me wrong, the game is fun. But the story and gameplay segregation is pretty big and makes you laugh quite a bit at all the waste our protagonist inflicts and gets away with.

Hogwarts Legacy So I tried to pick up lore etc by going up to paintings, statues and busts and using Lumos. Nothing happened. 😄 Then on an assignment, I saw a highlighted statue and used the clue so thoughtfully placed on it. I picked up a collectible. Ah ha. So the point is to keep an eye out on items that are highlighted, I've been rolling everything that are highlighted. The eye ones you have to sneak up to and use Stealth on according t osom evids I watched on youtube. So you'll need t olearn an invisibilty spel or something first befoe ryou can get what's in them. As for the doors wit hnumbers I think they're mathematica lpuzzles bu tth esymbol things on th side of the door are the key. I discovered these things by watching this vid. Watch at you're own risk though in the event you ge t spoiled. In my case I'll likely forget by the time I get round to playing. But tbh it's jus ta startin gguide vid as t ohow to pla ythe game. I don' tthink it has any story spoilers really that I noticed but I thought I'd put out a warning just in case.

Hogwarts Legacy There's day and night cycle. Yea hther is a day/night cycle bu tthere are cretain places you can go to fas tforward time on the map like campsites or something. Again they're shown in the vid I posted.
