Hardspace Shipbreaker
Lou, the colleague who was fired, secretly sent a message to everyone. The Union is onboard and it's time to kick Lynx's ass. Weaver arranged a specific ship for everyone. When all is ready. The mutiny starts.
This one is fun because the goal is not to meet salvage targets but to destroy the ships and Lynx's profits for that day. So I chuck items wholesale, big chunks without bothering to separate them into the wrong furnaces.
The overseer, Hal, is furious. He tries to shut everything down but Weaver is one step ahead. He turns the furnaces etc back on again. On, off. On, off. 😄 Hal issues threats and it comes to a point when Keito chucks a reactor into the furnace and there was an explosion. Everyone thought he died when he did not answer and Hal's anger and bluster turns to fear.
Luckily, Keito's mic shorted out, he didn't die. Weaver ended the shift on that note and sends everyone back to their habs. He recorded everything Hals said, his threats and so on and sent it to Lou who spread it around. The politicians step in and Lynx have to back down and revised their their employment policies.
Hal is kicked back to his own job; scanning cargo containers and Weaver returns the ship to the MC. He leaves for Earth not soon after, having a received a good job offer. Meanwhile, I had one last item to gte; an ion coil. I took it out of a thermal spreader and the ship is finally repaired.
The game ends with the MC closing the contract with Lynx, leaving the hab, getting into the ship and piloting it to the jump gate. Where did she go? It's anyone's guess.
I doubt there'll be a sequel but I sure would love to know she goes, what she does next. What worlds are there in this particular universe.

Hogwarts LegacyProfessor Garlick is an absolute delight though perhaps a bit thick on the plant puns. Also magic is well really useful. And I think Leander Prewitt might have a little crush on Honor. Or could just be naturally awkward. Though we got our first big taste of classic house rivalry in this game with him accusing Sebastian of knocking the dragon skull down intentionally,. Hmm might need to double check to see if he was right, but I don't think so. Some odd mechanics here though as both the potion brewing and growing plants actually seem to take a non too insignificant amount of real world time. I guess I could go make some coffee or something. I'm having a devil of a time trying to figure out how to deal with the Merlin's trials. I don't even know if I am doing them right but then missing it telling me, just...issues abound. Though on the bright side I have figured out how to deal with the dodge roll mechanic a bit in order to pass the next line of Professor Hekat. On a somewhat more annoying note though for some reason now that I have the option I keep accidentally hitting L1 and using up my 'grenades'. Potion ClassI must say that there is continuing some hope for this game's RP. Its not going to be anything too grand but there was an actual story choice with some actual consequences, or at least acknolwedgement.
Professor Sharp gave Honor permission to get ingredients from his office and Garreth Weasely, claiming to be working on a potion, needed ingredients to. I was intrigued but Honor/ I also didn't want to violate Sharp's trust too much. Though I accidentally ended up looting the ingredient Garreth needed anyways.
From there rapid events happened. Garreth was making a potion, and it went pear shaped on him, and Professor Sharp was not pleased and intimidated this wasn't the first time...so good thing I didn't give him the ingredients. But then Sharp made note of the fact that i didn't give into his charm and then made note of the ingredient. I felt so guilty.
Despite all this though having a bit of trouble establing a role play for Honor. Right now it is just purely what *I* would do. There is some opprotunities for RP but it does seem a bit inconsistent to this point...like you can get a lot of dialogue options in short time but then nothing for awhile. Though she does play an interesting game of being humble and yet not humble. There was even a three dialogue choice option that popped up in the play session tonight.

I've been going through Hogwarts as a Hufflepuff.
I keep being astounded just how different the playthrough feels, despite already having been told numerous times.
However, so far, my heart is still in Ravenclaw.

However, so far, my heart is still in Ravenclaw. Yeah my first character's a Ravenclaw though I will be doing playthroughs with the other houses. I'm thinking Hufflepuff atm for the next run though. That on ewill be a bit later though because I don' tthink I wan tto do 2 runs back t oback atm given how long it's taking me. I am enjoying it though as the game looks excellent l thought the firs ttrial puzzles were definitel yinteresting as well. I'll asve the forbidde curses for when I play a Slytherin. I suspect m ynex trun will be a bit faster thouh given I'm startin t ogetto grips wit hit and how the game works. I suspect I've still got a lot to do considering I've only just started Autumn. This game has a lot of intersting characters in it.

SWTORFinished up the main story today, whooping Malgus' ass on first try (the key is to keep your back toward his throne, so that if he uses his launch attack he doesn't launch you across the room, or worse into the abyss beside the throne room) Going to take a break from playing though, I have enough footage to last another 2 months so that should be enough to haul me over also my subscription is going to end in three days anyway, so...there's that too

But jus tcompleted the daedalian keys quest and acquired the Ravenclaw robes so I'm pleased with that. Als othinking I might change Lucy's hair a little bit next time I visit Hogsmeade I lik ehe rhair but sometimes it's fun to mix things up bu tthen I need to go to Hogsmeade to get what I need for Professor Garlick's assignment I think I'v ealmos tgo tenough gold t oacquire what I need Though I'm thinking I ma yjus tsell some unwanted inventory to make up the rest. Especially as you d oneed t oquite often empty you rinventory in this game given ho wfast it fills up. I kno wyo ucan giv eyourself moer space through the Merlin trials and I'm doing those too where I can. But still it's on eof the problems wit hgamesw that requier inventory management because in ME1 and in Dragon Age it can a ttimes be just as much of a pain there

Played enough Stray to get the second to last achievement for scratching in every chapter. Now all that's left is the speed run but I didn't want to tackle that last night. Might try it later today. I want to attempt it before I forget where everything is!
I loaded up Disco Elysium for the first time. This is an.....interesting?....game. There isn't a lot of help on how to use inventory items and I think something is bugged on my quest log. One of the very first things to do was find my second shoe, which I did, but the journal still shows it not completed. Now I need to examine a corpse and to do so need to use smelling salts so I don't puke again. I have the ammonia stuff I need but can't figure out how to use it. Right/left/double-clicking doesn't work, nor does trying to move it to the avatar in the inventory screen. I'm not sure what else to try. I'll probably look it up online and hope to avoid spoilers.
The dialogue structure is interesting. Talking to a another person is interspersed with internal thought processes, influenced by your stats and chosen ability levels. Rather than try to figure things out on the fly, I picked one of the default set-ups, Thinker, so I'm super smart but not in the greatest physical shape. Hence the puking lol.
The setting seems to be some post-apocalyptic version of France but no place/people names so far match anything in the real world.

Hogwarts Legacy
Lavinia was quite busy today - she helped Natty against Harlows lot, searched for Deeks friend, visited Sebastians sister and did a lot of stuff for different people. She also discovered the fighting arena in the south.
During Sebastians quest animals were photobombing like mad - never had that before. The sheep even walked through a closed door

Persona 4 Golden It's early October in game and I'm done with Naoto's dungeon. I'm focusing more on gaining stats and some random side achievements (I unfortunately screwed up and can't work on books achievement in this pt), so my Social Links are suffering a little. But the important ones (at least for me) are moving along nicely. Just as I abused Mudo/Hama skills in my P3P playthrough, in this one I abuse either Mind Charge + Megidolaon or Power Charge + any high phys dmg skill I have. Because shuffle was good to me like that and upgraded Megido and my phys skills early on I also had small breakdown when remix of P3's credit song started playing during Tatsumi Port Island trip, but I usually react like that to credit songs of games I love

I finished LS1 episodes on my Sylvari Necromancer. That was much easier than when I did it with my Mesmer Mirage. Dealing with Scarlet stuff is always fun thought. She's just so crazy. Now I can move on to Living Season 2 episodes too.

Hogwarts LegacyThis game continues to 'enchant' me. Just four hours in, hard to believe. Hmm. Anyways though this is giving me that really niche 'BioWare lite' feeling. A little lite on the RP elements indeed and the relationships but the characters are pretty in depth and just so many of them just ooze personality. Case in point I was actually wondering if you could talk to your professors outside of class and it didn't seem like it but today got a bit of an interlude with Professor Hecate where she relayed some of her backstory and Honor and her kind of bonded a little. Well done Avlanche. The combat may kind of become the new gold standard for me. I guess as a general rule the more you have to do in a game and keep track of the more it immerses you because you *have to* pay attention to it and thus the more it pulls you in. Of course this can easily leave one feeling like its easy to be 'bad' at this sort of combat and I am still having a devil of a time trying to figure out which spells break which shields but they have designed ways even around that involving the ancient magic. On the defensive side of things, well lots of colors to keep track of, and me being slightly color blind with the Deuter...thingy...yeah it is hard to keep track of that as well and my default is still to dodge roll away though I am still actively using protego when I can at times. Like I confirmed spider venom blasts can be deflected. It really is an intuitive system, you just have to keep track. Am I reading it right that Talents can't be refunded? On the weird note I find it kind of an odd gameplay choice to make stuff that is pure cosmetic which is seperate from the gear, and then the gear itself. Just...one or the other? Transmog remains a gameplay feature which is probably the best solution to a very common problem, but man is it one that leaves a bad taste in my mouth because of how video gamey it is. Wonder what the next DA game will do. On this note to no sooner that I found a look for Honor that I might have liked long term...unless something else came along...something else came along. And just in one of those ironies as I was commenting to my wifey the other day, and what I try and do for my own RP...female characters are their own original characters, while my male characters are based on people. Just everyone shares a name with someone so even when you are picking a name, Honor obviously shares a name with Honor Harrington which is the most famous usage of the name as far as I know for my experience...so Honor Cornwallis (her last name also being a bit of an oblique reference to Harrington as well)...chooses for her current get up the 'Officer's uniform' and a cape. I'll probably post pics one day. Jackdaw's RestSo keeping into that theme Honor has officially reached bad ass creed. Going into the main quest line, no wiggenweld's, a cave of spiders, and she came out on top. And man did she pull out. The intensity of the combat was added to that I also had no margin of error because of no health potions.
Though I actually really like what this game does with its health to. Actually a lot of the systems in this game is just so well thought out. Redundancies. You get health from the magic ball things that you get for the ancient magic so that always helps out. Its not much but it really helped me get through it. I used Expellarimus very liberally. Though Honor proved her bad ass creed. She was able to use ancient magic to SHRINK the spiders and then squish them. Though I gotta be better about using spell combinations. For instance using Incendio is a very close range spell but using Acio can pull them in setting them up for a shot gun/ flame blast.
As for the quest itself. Not much to report per se but it was an interesting plot point where Percival says he needs the book again to continue so going to have to come back. Also rather nice touch for the Wizarding World using pictures as sort of future messages. Flying ClassFirst big RP fail of the game so far. Which is such a shame because of the coup in Professor Sharp and his class. But it railroaded me into going along with the guy's plan to take a tour of Hogwarts. Granted no gameplay consequences but it did kind of hurt getting in trouble and house points removed on something which wasn't the player's idea at all and the choice was taken out of my hands.
Still rule of cool does apply because the tour of Hogwarts was one of the neatest of the game so far. So I was a little surprised/ off put that according to the PS5 I am already 46 % of the way through the main stories. Granted to this point I have basically done all of one side quest and one Merlin Trial so there is that. And I have a sneaking suspicion that the game kind of agreed with me. A lot of what I have been doing feels like extended tutorial, which really fits the Hogwarts aestetic very well. So yeah been beelining to get to the Room of Requirement which I kind of feel like the game expects the player to do. Sure a lot of side quests have opened up and been got but the game hasn't felt like its opened up yet. Still presumably got a fair few relationship quests to go. And then gotta dive into the mechanics of the game with the Room of Requirement...lets hope it does not get bogged down.

Yeah Avalanche did a reall ygood job wit hthis game. As I'm liking the fac tthe weather seems pretty realistic for the UK as well given Hogwarts is supposedly somewhere in Scotland. As I've noticed at times during the Autumn season for example it gets ver ywindy as I've noticed my charactres robes at times get blown about a fair bit. Which is quiet accurate given the autumn months it can at times get quite wind yhere in the UK. With regards sidequests the only side quests you'll pick up while in Hogwarts aer reall ythe Professor Assignments tha teach you extra spells aft recompleting them. If you really want to do side quests for levelling up you have to go look for them eithe raround Hogsmeade or the othe rHamlets/villages dotted around the map. Fo rexampl ewhen I went with Natty to Lower Hogsfield early in the gameI ran into a goblin painter who wanted help getting his paints back because some othe rgoblins stole them and yo uhave t clea ra goblin camp to get them back. You'll get th eRoom of requiremenn tnear the end of the first Season Summer jus tbefoer Autumn erally. But I would now tha tyou've don flying class buy yourself a broom as it will mak egetting around a lo teasier. Especially t oareas on the map you haven' tbeen to yet as you can't fas ttravel t othem unless you've visited the floo flames in that area as th efloo flames are wha tcounts as fas ttravel points in this gamemuch lik ethe campfires and Inquisition camps do in HZD and DAI. Th seasona lchanges occur once you complete the trials in each part of the game.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

Roll up, roll up the Force Awakens. Now we are going strong to determine how much we need to witness the full Battle of Jakku:

Disco Elysium
This game is very strange. It's like being in the middle of a Hunter S Thompson drug-induced nightmare, and I can't decide if I actually like it or not. I am interested in solving the murder mystery but the lack of instruction on how mechanics work is annoying. I'm trying to figure out how to unlock additional "thoughts" to research but I don't know if it's skill based, level-based, story progress-based, or something else. I miss the good ol days of actual game manuals that explained what stats and abilities actually are, what they do, and how to get them.

Hogwarts Legacy Lavinia found the scriptorum of Salazar Slytherin with Ominis and Sebastian, did some sidequests - among them one, that was way above her level, but since plants are so overpowered, it wasn't a problem. She just finished the second trial, which sadly means, autumn will be over and no more Halloween decoration (it stays in ym RoR though, I have Halloween the whole year around). I use a mod, with which I can put more beasts in the Vivariums, which makes me really happ. And you can summon more stuff. I always hated, that everything was limited.
And I must say, that I really like Lodgok. Five species so far in the wood Vivarium (and yes, a puffskein is named Sherlock and one of teh mooncalfs Watson. I also have a puffskein called Irene - I like Sherlock Holmes ). I have also six species in my beach Vivarium.
