I started another playthrough of "The Last of Us Part II". It's been a couple of years since my last playthrough, but it was easy to pick up and go. I decided to play on Grounded (essentially Very Hard), and already know where the gruesome deaths will be clustered. I'd been thinking about replaying it since last summer. A buddy has been discussing the games again due to HBO's series, and that gave me the nudge I needed. Once I emerge, traumatized and exhausted, I'll be waiting for Horizon Forbidden West's Burning Shores DLC to drop in April. I see I'm not the only one thinking o freplaying some games seein as I'm going t ob estarting m ycomfort gam eperiod soon. Given I'm feelin gstron urges to return to Mass Effect and Dragon Age. Won' thappen unti l after I'm done with Hogwarts but still I'm lookin gforward t okilling Reaper's again. Bu tyeah looking forward to the Last of us Part 1 when that comes to PC soon. Though I won' t be picking it up unti lmy birthday though as I'm planning to pick tha tand Uncharted up fo rm ybirthday. Don't know when I'll get round to actually playing them but I am looking forward to it.

Hogwarts LegacySo got to the Room of Requirement. Some more odd gameplay decisions here and there with it. Kind of hard to figure out some of the stuff going on with it. Like tried an extended period of time to try figure out how to adjust the size of stuff for the quest. It did not tell you you could only adjust the sizes of certain objects. Its also a little weird that you can only do the transfiguration magic only in the Room. It would make sense in lore if we didn't have the character wandering the grounds at all hours of the night...so probably gameplay restrcitions more then anything. Changing the lighting and theme though was neat. Afterwards did the quest 'Flight Test' and man am I so glad I got it in one go. The broom controlls are a little finicky especially when you are trying to precision fly through rings...but I got it. Wiped the smirk off madame Slytherine's face. Which I also find amusing that Sebastian is a kinda decent fellow (so far) but then the rest of the House is a big bag of dicks. From there doing more exploring trying to complete the assignments, I think that is the proper way to go about it. In the Shadow of the UndercroftKinda an interesting DAI connection though it does not serve that purpose at all...and also kind of a Dark Arts counter to the Room of Requirement? Going to be interesting how much this gets used in the ret of the game.
Sebastian mentioned his sister again and taught me a distance fire spell, Confringo.
Then Sebastian's friend showed up, the Gaunt fellow. I told him that Sebastian gave me permission which seemed to go poorly...Starting to formulate more RP I guess, Honor is tight lipped around everyone except for Sebastian and anyone relating to him. Which he was all like 'but you gave up Sebastian'...no I was just trying to let you know that I had permission and where I got it from. Going to be interesting to see if there are any consequences for that. Ghost Recon BreakpointWent nuke hunting with wifey first off. That went quite interesting as we were spotted, twice, trying to sneak up on the base, also got into a little bit of a firefight underneath the base. Then went to a Wolf stronghold for the next phase of the faction missions for the Homesteaders, and there was a regular old faction mission there too to destroy a drone. Did that, and got into a massive fire fight in the process as we were heavily engaged by a lot of Wolves. Things got a little dicey there for a moment with like 4 shot gunners waiting for us in the next level of the tower, but after we cleared them out it was smooth sailing from there. The restrictions don't apply t our character mostly I think due to ou rcircumstancves and our unique powers given our characters connection with ancient magic. Granted you do occasionaslly meet your fellow students oytside as well from time to time which is a bit puzzling but still it seems to work in the case of the story. Mus tadmit I d olik eth eroom o erquiremen tand how it can adapt to your needs though I kind of lik ehoe wthe various Vivariums jus tpop up from out o fnowhere tha ttyo ucan pu tyour animals in or beasts as the game calls them. Mus tadmit I'm lookin gforward to saying hi to the baby mooncalves when they'er born. Th eadult ones aer full of cuteness alread yan dthat's befoer I've met the babies. Ominis drops it in theend I'm guessing Sebastian explains t ohim later that he gave you permission to use that aera for training. Sebastian is a good gyu even if he does slowl ybut surel lean towards the dark side so to speak but you'll learn moer later.

Hogwarts Legacy
I did the third trial today and I still love it - so unique. I really don't liek the first two trials much, but the third and fourth are really well done.
Then I rescued a phoenix and Deek is so proud of me
And here are some more cute baby pics
Toad (and yes, I called him Cthulhu)
Diricawl
And hippogriff
Now there is only one beast missing and people, who are through with the game, know, what I'm talking about. I need a male unicorn, so I can have a unicorn offspring though.

SWTORI finished my Bounty Hunter chapter 1. I'm now the Champion of the Great hunt and joined the Mandolarians. It told a Jedi Master he was acting real stupid on top. Oh and Taro Blood got splintered in hyperspace too. Sweet revenge. Now black list bounties awaits, like two of them. GW2I completed another map on my Sylvari Reaper and advanced a bit the story that was on that map. I'm wondering if I should just finish core Tyria map completion, I got 4 left, but only one with story content left in it.

I'm glad my friends on PC are now getting to enjoy many Sony exclusives. They are such good games.
I'm on the fence about ordering/pre-ordering The Last of Us now that I've seen the first season in full and know, basically, the story and how the game ends. I've still got a couple weeks to decide though. I may just wait for a sale since I would prefer to get the digital deluxe edition for the extra goodies -$70 is a bit steep for a 10 year old game without much replay value, where I already know the major plot twists. I know, I know....it's about the experience!
As for what I did play....I made it to Day 2 in Disco Elysium. Lt. Kim has taken the murder victim's body back to his precinct (I think?) so Harry is on his own for the day. Read his old, toilet soaked case files. Found and split a "kilo" of cocaine with the weird kid Cuno (or, Kuuno, as his name is really spelled). Talked with the union strongmen and their rep. They have confessed to killing the dude; only problem is, they are lying. Have yet to figure out why. Also got a very long history lesson from the company rep. Spent some time annoying and then talking with a couple of older gents. Now I have to find them a replacement ball for their game. I'm not sure what else to do to kill time until Day 3 when another area opens up.
I finally figured out how to unlock more thoughts to research: skill points! Wish I would have known that 5 skill points ago!

For what it's worth, I found the gameplay in Last of Us very much...not fun. controls were janky and the level navigation is the exact same every time. Story and characters good. Gameplay bad.

For what it's worth, I found the gameplay in Last of Us very much...not fun. controls were janky and the level navigation is the exact same every time. Story and characters good. Gameplay bad. I think this was intentional. They wanted to distinguish Joel, the middle-aged dad turned smuggler, from Nathan Drake and his inexplicable gift for gunplay. I'm not defending it, though. I can absolutely understand why people would find it clunky. Even with intentionally shaky gunplay (which you can improve in-game via training and weapons upgrades), they could've made navigation smooth. Still, even with its rigid gameplay, it's definitely special. As you said, the characters and journey are great. melbella, $70 is a big pricetag. They completely redid all the facial animations, bringing them in line with the actors' actual performances; and they also updated textures and lighting. So, it's not exactly the 10yo game, visually speaking. You've definitely had the most important parts spoiled. The story and experience are different, of course. They made a fair number of changes when translating to TV, so the story would still have some fresh facets to it. Mainly, it's the experience you'd be buying. TLoU raises your stress levels, and then lets you decompress, in a truly impressive rhythm. Part II is likewise beautifully paced, small openworld zone aside. It's a tough call. Is Part II available to you? If so, you could just jump in there and pick up the original during a sale.

It may depend on how you pla ythough an di treall ydepends on how the PC port handles which I don' tthink anyone knows yet. I've generall yfound aiming with a mous eand keyboard much easier than with a controller though but each to their own I guess. Most of the PC ports I've played of PS games have so far worked really well. Only PS game I've had difficulties wit hin controls is wit hthe Beyon d2 souls game. Outside of that they've all handled OK even HZD.

I look forward to playing it mainl ybecause I'v ealways liked tha tkind o fgame in tha tit's moer of a puzzle where you have to find resources and such before you can use them t oprogress and stuff like Silen tHill or the old Resident Evil games such as the original RE2 rather than the remake o rDino Crisis as it kin dof reminds m eo fgames like that to some extent jus ta bit more action focused. I've not seen the TV show bu tthen I don' twatch much TV these days. If I want to watch something I tend to do it via youtube now. Hogwarts Legacy Ihave a sneaky suspicion Sebastian's abou tto snap jus tdid the catacomb mission and hi suncle jus twarned me abou tnot usin g dark magic when Sebastian used Imperio on a goblin. I haven't learned any of the curses. Yet hi suncl efelt I was just a sguilty .En do fthe da yI was jus ttrying t ouse m ymagic t oprotect the neighbourhood or at least Lucy was. When I watched the game as a long movie back in the day I was glad I didn't have a PS3 and wasn't tempted to play it. Because I found what I saw of the gameplay super boring and repetitive. I know watching is different than playing, but that gameplay would never have been my cup of tea. I enjoyed the narrative a lot but I won't be buying it on PC despite the remake looking amazing. I have yet to watch Part 2. Might stall it until shortly before S2 of the show comes out.

Is Part II available to you? Nope, I play on PC only and I don't like watching other people playing videos. I get a.) bored and easily distracted, and b.) annoyed when I have no mouse control.

Hogwarts Legacy
The Daedellian Keys are some of the worse design things I have seen in a while. Yikes. They basically just interrupt gameplay and you get this mocking little sing songy little things so you go looking for it and have to drop everything...or you basically can't find it for awhile...or you have to ignore it...or you lose it easily because you aren't expecting the thing so you just stumble upon it by accident and so they just run off on their own little flight path...and then what happens then?
But then that does lead into the theme of the day. Getting lost but then just random exploring. Did some exploring of Hogwarts basically. Ran into one of those door puzzles to start with but then looking for the combination thing got a bit lost which then led me to going through a lot of the castle. Neatest thing on the list was the Hogwarts Kitchens. But then the Great Hall, the history class room, the frog choir, etc. Still looking for that one quest where you can get the Assassin ish get up and gear set.
Also learned Diffindo from Professor Sharp.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

Also learned Diffindo from Professor Sharp. Yea hthe Daedalia nkeys can be awkward. I los ton eo r2 when doin gtha tquest all you ca nd oreall yin tha tinstanc eis look for a house cabinet in the area as that's where it' sflown to. Admittedly I did slightl ychea twit hthis quest as I used a guide to point me where they are. Hoping I won' tneed t ous ei tnex ttime. bu this is it www.ign.com/wikis/hogwarts-legacy/The_Daedalian_KeysIt's a worthwhil eques tthough as hte house robes are really nic elooking I like the way my Lucy looks in them. Prett ymuc hbeen using those robes most of the time since I got them. Yeah I've got lost a few times on this run but then Hogwarts is a big place so eas yto do. Thankfully you do have your mini map and stuff to help with that. I think on late rplaythrough's I'll find it easier though. But wha twith it being our first runs through it we have to expect getting lost a few times. After all I remember getting a bi tlos tnavigating Haven and Skyhold myself when I firs tplayed DAI. Whereas I know where pretty much everything is now.

One time I watched a guy who was wrecked by Krogan battlemaster after saving Liara from the bubble over and over for almost two hours; it was hilarious. Back on topic. Installed Assassin's Creed Unity, to finally get 100%.

Hogwarts Legacy Did the blackmail quest with Natty and rescued Hazel, the unicorn. There were again only female unicorns in the den, so sadly I have no new beast baby pics.
But how about a mooncalf getting his brushes?
I won't be playing much this weekend, because I'm at a roleplaying weekend in a fantasy themed hotel.

SWTORMy Sithy Inquisitor has finished Voss. She's all healed now, body and mind. She also got dark side points for telling the truth at the end of the planet story. Somehow telling the Jedi did something bad a long time ago on Voss was dark sided. The Force has a bias!!! I must say that Voss is probably the best VO work from the female Sith Inquisitor so far. I never got that far with one (f!Inquisitor) before. Both in the main story and the side stuff. Very dark too. There was a side quest where the line read like "it was fun" and the VO was basically someone talking about eating an excellent meal. The quest about killing Jedi... Next: I will have to pick-up my apprentice. I don't really care, Xalek isn't that interesting, but it's a forced step in the story and I can't avoid it. He's just going to chill on the ship like the rest. GW2One more map completed, now my latest Reaper is at 90% map completion. She also found all 3 pieces of an old crown the Charr couldn't bother digging out and helped them kill a lots of Ascalonian ghosts. Now they should send someone at the summit. Next: to resolve some of Kryta political mess so Queen Jenna can shows up too.

ST Elite Force II
Ok, the bad in this game.
There's no visual clue when NPC tells you; scan ABC console with your tricorder to shut down EFC. I stood in engineering looking around despite the ticking clock, looking for the console Barclay was talking about. I ran around the room with the tricorder out, hoping something would pop. It did.
Once I connected all the nodes, he said; go to console ERG and input the code to eject the warp core. The code is 911567 (or something like that). I stood still again, looking for this console he wanted me to go to. I had no clue. Time ran out and the Enterprise went boom.
I reloaded and it was at the connecting nodes section. This time it went faster but surprise, Barclay didn't ask me to input the codes. Instead I got a msg to get to the bridge to repel the intruders. Ok, apparently the game forgot about the code to eject the warp core procedure.
Next the intruders sent teams to the hull to hack into the computer core. There're three groups of them. Munro had to go to the hull and get rid of the intruders. Tuvok then said he lower the gravity. I went out to the hull, jumped and couldn't come back down. I couldn't reach the portable terminals the intruders brought because they're behind rotating shields. I have to jump and land inside but for some reason, I could not go down.
After several frustrating failures, I shut the game and did a search. The solution was to lower the fps to 60. Any more than 60 the game could not handle which is the reason why the character remained floating instead of automatically coming down after a jump.
Lowering the fps to 60 did it.
