I posted in the DA thread but got no answers, in particular Obsidian Gryphon are you playing DAO on Windows 11 via the EA App, I cannot get it to download. It gets to 14% and then says download error. Have tried clearing the EA Cache and redownloading the EA App to no avail. I see on the EA boards others have had the same issue but with no resolution. I had no problems recently downloading and playing it on my old Windows 10 PC.

I don't think it is the game but the EA App. not being configured to support the older games on Windows 11. I have seen other people post the exact same issue on the EA forums but EA has not answered any of them except to uninstall EA App and clear it's cache which does not work. MEA downloaded fine so it must be something to do with the EA App and the older games. Will try DA2 now. EDITTried DAO again, same issue stopped at 14%. Tried DA2 and it SAID it downloaded the game but the download failed to download "Legacy" installed some other DLC and then failed on a few others. tried repairing it and clearing the Cache and nothing. tried re-downloading the game and this time it failed on Mark of The Assassin and a few others. Tried to launch DA2 through the EA App, would not launch. Tried from the Desktop shortcut and it said their was a save Synch. error ignored it but it said it could not find any local saves. Looked there was no Dragon Age 2 folder in the Bioware folder, so copied my backed up save files. Game launched but could not play it as it said DLC was missing. Lodged another issue with EA. Do not want to waste anymore time on it ATM, might try on Steam but saw people are having similar issues with Steam.

There's a conflict somewhere, definitely, but I'm no tech / programmer so I can't say what it is. At most I'll guess and say some other program, maybe antivirus or security program, could be fighting with the EA app on the older games.

DAO
Finished the game. It hung while the party was on the way to Redcliffe so I had to force close the game. After restarting the game, I decided to make camp once the party exited Denerim, to clear away any lingering Denerim bugs. That worked.
The Landsmeet count was crummy even though it was four nobles for the wardens and two for Loghain. I guess dinky Anora held a super vote. It's this crummy side of hers I remember very well that I decided not to ally with her on this PT. She knew what daddy dearest did but she's too fond of cake. She wanted daddy alive and also have her cake. Although she kept saying she was the one ruling Ferelden for the last five years and kept it stable, the nobles weren't singing her praises were they, if that was true. I doubt it'll change for the male warden PT.
The Landsmeet broke out into a fight. I went straight for Loghain and ignored the others. It brought the fight to an end and became a one vs one deciding factor.
Loghain was killed. Alistair was very adamant on his death. I completely forgot about that and there was no option to dissuade him. I guess if I play DAI with this world state, the unknown warden that appeared in DA II will pop up. I wonder what happened to Anora since Alistair survived the battle. Remain in prison forever? Or exile?
Moving on to Awakening. I remember I played this a couple of times many years ago. I never succeeded in saving the two places; Vigil's Keep and Amaranthine. I'll try to achieve both this time.

GW2
My first time doing Dragon Bash and I think, I might be occupied the next weeks 😁. Not as good as the Halloween event, but still pretty entertaining.
I also started with crafting, because I want to get ascended armor in the near future.
SWTOR
My Jedi knight saved Tython and I started a new agent, a Twilek. I just love that Race so much. My agent is still on Hutta, since I mostly played GW 2.

Weekends sometime suck for mojo purposes. ACVSo been playing a lot over the last few days but since its been the last few days bit hard to relay everything. I did the...don't even remember the arc...processing...processing...Lincolnshire that's the one. Kind of a harder one to get a handle on because its like that one *shiver* arc from Essexe which I hate and is probably the worse arc in the game. But this one does have a pretty interesting moral dillema to it and a descent mystery plus some creepy implications. But there was that same situation where it does feel like you are maybe killing a lot of innocent soldiers in Distrust Areas and Forts but then they are probably working for Aelfred or the Order in the first place...though they are also being duped into it so...meh. Gonna have to check my notes on my last playthrough because I am curious if I got duped last time and who I chose for the leadership...but on the former if I did get fooled it would've been dumb because very conveniently the priest was the only one who didn't get his own quest. Which was a missed opprotunity because it could have actually been an interesting exploration on means of government. Aelfgar all militaristic, boysterous, wealthy, wanting to revel...kind of Viking like. Hunwald...inexperienced but he does have spirit...but then Heinfrieth could've showed the religious and administrative perspective. Maybe skeevy to set up the twist but actually show him as a good administrator. So yeah. Also Odin actually had something interesting to say, which I forgot. As far as the leadership went for Hundwald this time and here is the thing I played this game basically three years ago, amazing. So I hardly remember what I did that time. I remember a lot of the basic plot information and scenes to look forward to, but not a lot of the choices. So I can't really do the whole 'I am going to find convenient RP ways to make the exact opposite choice I did last time.' Obviously some of the choices I did remember. But this does cause the effect of just having to do a lot of pure RP and character consistency and half remembered stuff. Think I might've gone with Aelfie the first time so still, Hundwald. Justification yes he is naive but like I said he has spirit and I think him and Eivor did develop some genuine comraderie for the man. And then in the back of my head I did think of Geadrich and all the arguments about picking a side and being loyal and Eivor was already there for Hundwald in the first place. Other then that finally made use of the whole different load outs thing. Not so sure how much I will use it considering that you have to menu crawl to change them...but the impeutus was discovered Armor Piercing arrows can shoot through walls. Bit of the same problem as Ghost Arrows of Artemis that they are a bit too OP but whatever...so now I have a stealth load out and more of a brawling one. Which brings us up to today. Didn't do too much because puzzles. Met with the zealot...Woden. Got off a lot of shots on him which was fun but running out of arrows so tried to close the distance and he was almost stunned but yeah those bastards are deadly in CQB. So bashed on him, went through three rations, but did get the stun attack to finish him. Then find it funny that Valka's next bit for her next potion is in the same cave as a thingy of England so that was something. Took me...awhile. Got the ingridients, ingot, but not the wealth of england thing. JFONinth Sister Boss Fight was fun and beat her. Had some tense convos with Cere and Greese (that's his name?) and met Merrin. Though we don't know its her. Wink. That accent though.

DAO Awakening
Anders in Awakening reminds me of Alistair; the jokes and teasing. Unlike Alistair however, Anders harbours deep resentment beneath that charming veneer. He resented the restrictions, the tag put on him and tried to get away seven times. In previous PTs, I wasn't sure about it but agree to his request all the time as I wanted to get the highest approval from all the companions.
I can see both sides of the argument but it's better to have than not to have, imo. So when Anders wanted to go after his phylactery. I straight up told him; NO. His disapproval is -18.
I'm not sure if this cancels his personal quest but the party might end up running across his phylactery later. In any case, if I remember it right, there is another mage companion to get. The one in the woods I think so once I get her, Anders is out. I won't be using him. Of course, he could find it and destroy it himself after the events of Awakening but as long as it doesn't involve the warden, it's fine with me.
Would be interesting if he dies in Awakening and he still turns up in DA II. It'll be another case like Leliana of whom some players kill in DAO, yet she shows up in DAI. 🤣

Vampire the Masquerade Swansong
Umm, amm, ehhh...yeah.
Guess I expected better. There were plenty of skills shown on the characters, but apparently you are severely limited in how many or how strong they can be. Which is fine if the replay value didn't look pretty weak. I don't feel compelled to do another run with a different build. Unlike, say, Disco Elysium.
I tried to build the characters in a way that made sense for their personalities and clan. But apparently that turned out to be kinda useless as the game asked way more often for the stats that I didn't invest in. Why would a Malkavian need so much tech skills or history knowledge... And the severe lack of options for Dominate or Obfuscate really grinded my gears. Cmon, those are literally the vampire bread and butter skills.
It's like Game Dev 101 - if you give players abilities to invest in, make sure they are all useful to a comparable degree. Or at least limit the useless ones to maybe one or two, not half or more. I think the game was perhaps bigger in initial scope, but was reduced significantly at some point.
The story relies on you to reveal as much as possible of what is going on, but if you don't have the required skills, you will miss on a lot of clues. And things will feel incomplete or not make sense. And most puzzles don't have an alternative way to solve. The game goads you to replay it, but it just doesn't have the quality to keep you interested enough. And the pacing is annoyingly slow. Speaking of puzzles - some were unnecessarily vague and I doubt most people would solve them without a guide. But I guess it's the norm nowadays that developers expect players to look up guides.
The characters were interesting. Some of their drama was hit and miss, but probably the best trait of the game.
Would have liked a better saving system in order to explore different chapters and outcomes better.
Overall, it is a below average game in a very interesting setting. My issue with it is probably that the story and gameplay don't mesh well. I might check it again with cheating some extra skill points to see if it improves the experience.

saandrig Ya Swansong is a bit rough. I remember when I played it I thought that it would be much better if it didn't have a skill system and just depended on how thorough you were and how you handled situations. More like a telltale game in that regard. I ended up just giving myself full stats when I did my run on pc to get the most out of it.

dazkI also couldn't pass 14% mark on Win11, so I set compatibility mode to Win8 and checked Run as administrator just in case. Finished downloading main game and started downloading DLCs. Also had problems with some DA II DLCs before I set compatibility, will test it when I finish downloading DAO. Interesting thing is that I managed to download Jade Empire, Mirror's Edge and original Dead Space without any problem, despite those are old games as well; it might be some problem with Dragon Age games. EDIT: Some of DAO DLCs failed, so this is only partial fix.

Man, the changes to all character's faces suck in Uncharted 4. Motion capture is great and all but Sully is unrecognizable to me. He was such a handsome gray fox and now he looks so bland. Nathan looks the least changed. Elena looks very different too but at least somewhat recognizable, I guess. Realism is not necessarily a good thing, it often destroys unique iconic facial features. Joel from TLOU was so much hotter too in the original game compared to the remake.
Haven't played much yet but good grief the aim assist. I should turn this off, it makes gunplay completely trivial. It's the most over the top implementation I've ever experienced. Point in the general direction and you're good. I mean, my aim sucks but with this on I might as well just watch it in YouTube, lol.

Was working on my Tyranny run and started to notice my psu fan would randomly rev up and down. System isn't hot, usage isn't high so thought that was kinda odd. I just switched it over to the fan saver mode and its fine now. But so far I'm running as a melee/mage of sorts. Thinking I'm going to go for a tank build with self buffs to make me harder to hit. I also forgot how cool some of those party combo attacks looked.

Must admit I'm starting to feel in a bit of a motor racing mood so may go with the Grid and F1 games first after I'm don ewit hMidnight Suns and sav eStreet Fighter for later .Apparentl ythey'v egot the W series champion Jamie Chadwick in the new F1 game as an option in the M y Team career mode s om ytry t osign her as my first teammate depending on how much she costs. Apparently Nigel Mansell is in th egame as well as a Historic Icon you ca nhave in career mode. Don' tknow how much he'll cost but seein he was the 1992 champ I'd imagin ea fair bit

Finally found a comprehensive guide to setting it up and can see where I was making mistakes.

Nier Automata So got past the hacking bit with some good music/vibes. Basically just bopping with the music and letting the subconscious deal with the hacking. Then made sure to save after that because never again. Rest of the game was pretty chill in comparison. The end section was fascinating but oh boy did that fight drag on. Although I think those were actually two bosses, but they look the same so it basically felt like The Boss Who Just Wont Die Turbo Edition Extended Version. So was very happy with Chapter Select meaning I do not need to repeat that mess. Yay! Then been pecking away at the achivos for the last few days and finally got them all today. The legit way. Well granted looked up where things were and stuff, but did track them down and did suffer the RNG and why did I put myself through this again? So moved on with my grand plan of ending the game with Ending E since I was spoiled on it being kinda final final. And whoo boy this was the coolest freaking credit list I've ever gone through. Like just amazing. So pretty massive spoilers in the spoilers. Like if you're even thinking of trying the game, don't look at it. So ended up having to do the ending twice since I'm absolutely rubbish at pep talk and stuff, so when the game asked me if I had some words of encouragement for the other players I just said no, because I thought I had to type something on my own and the only thing more terrifying would've been to record the message vocally. Except that meant the game skipped asking me if I wanted to offer my save data to help others (deleting it in the process) and like I'd already been planning on deleting it, but for this cause, absolutely, yes, please. So had to replay the ending again. This time listened to something else, because as awesome as the ending song is, the credits are too freaking long and I'd heard it loop like 10 times and just no. It's gorgeous but enough is enough. So did the pep talk (and thankfully it was just mix together preselected phrases) and then yes, yes, yes, nuke my save from orbit. Ironically that ended also being the evil option since I'm rubbish at the game and well, took even more down with me than I gave up in the end. Then kicked the game off the console. All in all did enjoy it for the most part. It looked gorgeous, the music was amazing, combat was pretty fluid (although a difficulty between normal and hard would've been lovely), loved some of the design ideas, the characters were fun but would've loved more banter, since I never ended up really connecting with any of them, which made the games gut punches kinda miss their mark. Still, glad I played it. Then was going to try out the Hogwarts demo and 85 gb?! The heck. Hope it's the size of the game itself because damn.

DAO Awakening
Omg, this game is buggy as f*** at the silver mines.
I went in, cutscene and everyone's stuff was gone. I couldn't open the other cell doors either nor the door to the room with the chest. The party's stuff was retrieved one by one. The NPC wearing the warden's armour had only the armour, zero weapons and everything in the inventory was gone. I was pissed.
I did a check and the advice was to take everything off the warden before the cutscene. I reloaded and removed everything from the warden. I noticed straight off the loot on the darkspawn was different. There was now a longsword and the key to unlock the other cell doors. They were not there before. Everyone's stuff was taken back but the NPC who's supposed to have the warden's armour and weapons did not show.
I went through the entire caverns to check. Zero. Zip NPC with warden armour. I have to repeat the sequence yet again. The NPC with the warden armour was there but no weapons so I used the darkspawn weapons I picked up. I had no idea what I was going to do if the weapons did not show up.
Luckily they did. At the end of the break out, before a door there was a chest with the inventory and the weapons. There was also a merchant NPC standing on the other side too. It was then I remembered that everything in the inventory and warden weapons would be returned at the end. I had forgotten about it. However, I had also taken the precaution of installing a mod that ensured all the items are there.
I remembered to invite the merchant to the Vigil's Keep before leaving since he is part of the VK upgrade.

There's a MOD that fixes that with the Silver Mines or you can just take all your armour off before you enter.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

ACV
I had to check up and look at a few things and it seems people had just as many problems with some of the stuff that happens in Jotenheim as I did. Worse I am borderline convinced that I also had a bug happen here which forced me to reload twice...at least in the bit where had to find the house where Angroborda was. Also had some issues finding the way out of the waterfall area and well finding the waterfall in the first place. And skipping ahead a bit though I actually found the Cauldron very easily, but then I remembered that I also had trouble leaving...and couldn't save...because I was in the middle of a restricted area...and kind of had to save because had to go watch things. So I was able to sort of find an alcove just in the corner of the map which was still flashing red...but I guess it was good enough and away enough where I was able to save.
From there though one of the other real treats for this game the scene with Loki, Angroborda, and Havi. Also fun trying to guess who is who in the Grecco Roman bit and also fun way of doing that particular story and well it does make me wonder if this idea there was different factions of Isu was new or old and they did mention the whole 9 realms thing and one to one translation through Norse myth but that is a strong implication that there might be as many as nine groups of Isu. From there though this scene is kind of a master class in a very specific type of RPG thing granted probably could have had more options in the set up and at least have Havi be a little reticient about drinking it not all 'glug glug.' But yeah, mind control where the game takes it out of your hands and puts in its own answers. Culiminating with the whole 'I will kill him' being your only response, three times. Kind of interesting though because bit of a plot hole there because could've sworn that Havi considers their oath null and void at the present time.
Got a little 'arrow' happy here as I infiltrated the cauldron lair and well basically shot all the Jotun's with arrows. Probably best bit was one of them was sleeping, didn't quite realize it, missed, so then I shot him when he popped up. No assassinations at all.
