Midnight Suns Hopefully finish Act 2 an dstar t3 today. Will make an effort to try an dfinish the DLC's as well on this playthrough once I've played Act 2's final mission. Afte rtha tit's jus ta case o ffinishing th egame. Mus tadmi tthough I'm looking forward t oheading to the race track once I've finished Midnight Suns.
Must admit I'm also kind of tempted to install 1 or 2 of the old ones on my HDD as I'm tempted to play F1 2010 and F1 2012 again mayb e2011 as well as they were a couple of m yfavourite ones that Codemasters have done. Min dyo uconsidering it is PS3 graphics 2010 didn't look too bad.

I just earned an ascended weapon, doing Drakkar. I decided on a longbow for my Sylvari Soulbeast ranger.
SWTOR
My twilek agent is nearly finished with Hutta, she only has to storm Fathras palace and kill the real Red Blade.

DAO Awakening
The dragon fight at the Blackmarsh is more energetic than the ones in DAI. It may have to do with the speed up mod though. No doubt in the default speed, the dragon moves more slowly and lethargically. With the mod, the fight is lively and more interesting. There is the feel the dragon is alive and powerful even though it's a spirit.
I'm near the end and Anders's quest remain stagnant. Sorry bud head, not going to do you any favours.
I think I have upgraded everything at Vigil's Keep, the gate and towers are there and the walls are up. The Deep Road entrance below is sealed. There are two additional merchants, trade is open, the peasant rebellion was talked down. I have gathered all the companions. The three crafting quests from Wade's partner are done. I equip the sword and bow but not going to use the armour. The Grey Warden Commander armour is adequately buffed and I prefer the PC dressed as a GW, not in a random piece of armour.
Next up is to face the Architect and Mother. Now I remember who's Orta, the dwarf GW with the Architect. She's one of the GW who was with Ameridan in DAI. Well her ultimate fate is; going to be killed by the GWC of present Ferelden.

I watched some of the Summer Game Fest and is it me or games all look copy-pasted these days?
Except for BG3, the city looks amazing and Jason Isaac rocks.
SWTOR
I finished Shadow of Revan on my Consular and 7.3 is dropping next week (no more daily matrixes, lets rejoice!). I'm also almost done with the Galactic Season too, only a few things will need to be done next Tuesday to cap it.

Righ tnow I see the nex tlittle while bein grathe rquie tgame wise fo rme much lik ethe firs thalf of last year. Maybe I'll pick up som esports games for my series X like anNBA o rNHL game as it's been a while since I picked up on eof those mayb eeven pick up th eEA gol fgame up on the series X t ogo wit hm yPC version see how it runs there.

DAO Awakening, Witch Hunt
Chose to defend Amaranthine and let Vigil's Keep defend itself since I've done all the upgrades. Kicked the Architect and Mother. Although the Architect's intention to stop the Blight cycle is good, there's no one to oversee his experiments. The Mother, after all, was one of his failures so the chances of his spawning worst results is pretty high.
In the epilogue slides, all the companions survived except for Velanna who vanished. I didn't take her to Amaranthine so in hindsight I should have. Vigil's Keep survived. The soldiers of VK became the Silver Order and it's pretty funny they are not mentioned in DAI especially when they're described in the slides that they evolved into a well known military troop because they were trained by the GW.
In Witch Hunt, I was friendly to Morrigan who left two books to the HOF. One of the books was the one she took from the Dalish clan, the other is unknown. I would presume this book contained some information regarding the taint which would result in the GWC / HOF to venture into the Deep Roads to find a way to remove the taint 10 years later, during the events of DAI. I would also presume this is intentional, both of good will and a means to remove the HOF from the vicinity of eastern Thedas (Ferelden and Orlais) so the HOF will not be greatly affected by the false Calling Cory set on the GWs.
It's too bad the GW Order rebuilt by HOF ended up being run by idiots in her / his absence. It's also peculiar Alistair (if he is king) is glaringly absent since he's still a GW.
Anyway, DA II next. 😄

ACVContinued on with the whole thing in Jotunheim and actually got out of the base that the Cauldron was stolen without too much trouble as I stumbled upon the illusion with little fuss and got to outside again. Same thing with trying to find Thor's marriage bracelet did go pretty well. It was a little tough finding the place but was soon able to find it. Bit strange from there though since Uttgard is a distrust area which is kind of a weird development. Like Havi is kind of a guess at this point. It did make it weirder though that then Suttingr was all like 'you are fine if you are with me but will be attacked if you are alone'. Which does he not have control over his people? Are we talking about just random gangs? Hmm. From there though the weirdness reached a trifecta as again didn't make the illusion magic very clear to get to the area with Gunlodr. Thought of trying to climb up on various things to look 'down' into the thing. And that iddn't work. Making another attempt, back turned to it, finally it just triggered by itself. Another bug I wonder? At the party, did the harp, did riddles with Gunlodr, and took place in an archery compeition. Took me a second to realize what the targets were with them. And well Havi betrayed Gunlodr, bedded her I am quite sure...oh dear...huh that is also interesting given Randvi ...and then fought Suttungry in a pretty cool boss fight. Then fought Loki in an even better one. The whole thing with Mimir and the well ended up being interesting. It actually sometimes is funny just the difference between God of War and of ACV in its myth considering Mimir in that was a decapitated head, in here he is attached to a tree. And knowing the ending of the game it does trigger a lot of fodder. On exactly what is going on from an actual perspective without the vail of mythology, like I know everything that Mimir was talking about in the mind transfer and the damage it could potentially do to humanity and other references. As well as Loki's reference to this happening again as the boss fight does happen later and have some symbolism, which then also ties into a few other modern day elements as well. State of Decay 2So latest game wifey wants to play with me. And its a game (I feel so off tonight! ) I am actually quite impressed by some of the mechanics. Haven't had much of a chance to dive into the base building mechanics here, but the combat and the searching mechanics are interesting. Some of the controls are off and not what I am quite used to but not neccessarily a bad thing. And you can have melee weapons and ranged weapons at the same time which is cool and something else I am really hoping that BioWare figures out how to do... The story, not much yet but bit cliche with the getting bit thing and then being all like 'I'm getting hot man'. Tried wailing on the guy but game wouldn't let me kill him...because there might be a cure...though there is also a mechanic where the plague can spread...hmm. Bit of a neat thing to have to worry about though and it does provide interesting base building and team management as well as actually kind of a weird conceit that there is a cure for this zombieism.

Lies of P (demo), launch date 19 Sep 2023
Watched some game play of this title. I got bored almost straight away.
It starts off typically; PC wakes up in a chair. Place / train station is isolated and some voice starts to talk. I know this is based off a book; Adventures of Pinnochio. It seems to me P / Pinnochio wakes up in a world where he's a humanoid and the rest of the inhabitants are biomechanicals.
There're no other living beings other than him in the beginning. Enemies are different types of mechanicals that wake up on his approach or wandering about. He'll eventually reach another human, Sophia who promptly gives him his quest. The PC has no voice and does not ask questions. Huzzah. I'm even more bored.
The game reminds me somewhat of the Souls games; PC goes around empty places whacking mobs and difficult bosses. Design of PC and Sophia are anime (face features) like, sweet cupcakes.
I'll not be getting this title when I'm struck by boredom instead of interest after 10 minutes of watching the gameplay. I fast forward the video to find POI instead of watching endless swishing down of mobs. Demo is one hour gameplay.

SWTORI got my Consular at the exact same spot storywise as my Inquisitor. I might finish Ziost on both by next week, but I'm not sure if I want to start KOTXX. Which means I need something to tie me over until BG3/Starfield release at the end of August/early September. I could put more focus on my Warrior in GW2, but I missed new story release over the last year in GW2 because I keep making new characters instead of playing the old ones just like in SWTOR...and also, I'm kinda tired of playing MMOs in general. I few weeks ago, when I got tired of my Consular in SWTOR, I was thinking maybe ME Legendary or MEA. Shooting things might be a nice change of pace. But I'm not sure, I still kinda feel "fantasy-themed" right now. Maybe I should do like a few of you and just roll with Dragon Age. It's the gaming equivalent of comfy food.

I fast forward the video to find POI instead of watching endless swishing down of mobs. Demo is one hour gameplay. Yeah I think I'm likely jus tgoing t o b esticking wit hmy backlog or replaying old games as there's nothing standing ou tfor m eatm. Of the games recentl yannounced I may be tempted by the Ratchet and Clank PC release but I'd have to be super bored to consider it really and want something nwe to play. There's jus tnothing catchin m yattention. Maybe Xbox ma ycome up asn show something other than Starfield an Forza but we'll see. But right now gaming is looking a bit empty in terms of exciting new stuff. Still we had good second half to 2022 and a good start to 23 as Midnight Suns and Hogwarts Legacy in particular stood out to me and whilst it didn't quite hit the high notes Forspoken wasn' t too bad I felt. Th esecond half of 23 i s starting to look lik the firs thalf o flast year pretty empt yand boring. So it's looking likel yI'll be sticking wit hwhat I've got. Bu tyeah once I finish Midnight Suns it'll be ont oFifa and som motor racing. I ma ythro win some games tha tI've alrad ygo tinstalled elik eMass Effect or Hogwarts if I feel in need for a bit of a breather from them given I have playthrough's t ocontinue o rfinish there. But reall ythat's my plan fo rthe momen tstick with games I've already got or got installed.

So been playing some AC Odyssey the past three days but yesterday also did another fresh restart of my Windows installation, using a checklist this time to try and get it installed "Locally". Anyway what the checklist showed was for whatever reason the installation was not giving me the option to install locally but I found a way around it and set up a new account that is "Local" and has Onedrive turned off which has worked a treat so far except haven't really tried to muck around with Microsoft Office. Some minor spoilers melbella Re-setup Odyssey but only got an hour of play in but took down a sage and a couple of mercenaries who crossed my path, can't even remember what island I am on. I finished the trying to find Myrinne quest involving Hippokrates, got the order of quests wrong so Hippokrates patient died and also didn't choose to dedicate the Bulls Heart to the little girls for the first time. Pic's Who knew Sages could fly, oh that's right they can't.

Argh, no quick quote on my phone!
Still PC-less but snagged complete editions of both Origins (Steam) and Valhalla (Ubisoft for extra 20% off) so I have even more to play when I finally get it back. Between all that plus Diablo 4, plus the other stuff coming out in a couple months, I'm almost glad DA:D isn't coming out any time soon!

I tried to play Anachronox (because it was a great game, also the only which set the Canadian Loony as the galaxy sole currency), but it really need a remaster (which will never happen ). So I ended up subbing to Gamepass again instead. I'll replay The Outer World, then try a bunch of games (they have a few Persona, Monster Hunter Rise, Everspace 2 that interest me and a bunch of indies edit: I put 20 games into "play next" list , some are previews aka early access thought).

Reinstalled The Witcher 3 (Classic GOTY Version) and Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age 2 and Dragon Age: inquisition. Don't know when I'll play them but just wanted them installed. I can see myself playing The Witcher 3 off and on since it's a very long game, and according to many fans I already got the best ending in my first playthrough. As for the Dragon Age games, I've completed both DAO and DA2 multiple times, but I've only played Inquisition once and never finished the playthrough. I made as far as to the new stronghold Skyhold. I don't remember why I stopped playing it and never returned to it? Oh yeah now I remember the game is hellish for a completist like me. I remember there was a moment where my big tough Qunari was chasing after a golden Halla through the woods. But right now I'm focusing the Mass Effect Trilogy and VTMB.

DA II Picked up Varic. Can't really not pick up Varic really. He made a grand entrance. 😄 Picked up Fenris. Did his first quest and him when the option came up. Scored a 20 on friendship. 😄 Picked up Anders, reluctantly, because of the main quest, Deep Road Expedition. I've no intention of talking to him further even though the message popped up. Picked up Isabella, the babe. 😛 Did her quest. Revived Flemeth on Sundermount. I've forgotten that she could separate bits of herself so I have to add in another possibility for the end of DAI; she sent one of the soul Gods either to Morrigan or to one other bits of herself. The question is; which God did she send through the Eluvian? I think it's Mythal. She gave the old God soul to Solas. Flemeth definitely foresaw this future possibility long before DAO. Picked up Merril from Sundermount. There are a few quests to do before I kick off the Deep Road Expedition. Edit. Oh yes, I've also completely forgotten DA II started the atrocious female swing hips moving animation. "Congratulations" to whichever dev who thought it's a "great" idea because I doubt anybody likes it. Would they continue it in the next DA game? Surely they've better taste than to think female swing hips moving animation is going to make new fans of the franchise.

ACV
One of the things that I do really like about this game is how many ways there are to consistently spend money. A lot of RPGs and video games just let you gather a whole crap ton of wealth and then give you nothing really to spend it on...but here. Case in point I guess bit of a the theme of the night reaquainting myself with some mechanics and blowing off cobwebs, maybe that I didn't even know. First up decided to go after the mystery question mark guy in Grantbridge since I made a pit stop there for a second...but later when I was in Glowerschesire did it again but instead of getting denied again he was all like 'what info do you want yo.' Then went to get a contract in Gloweschire and did at least seem to confirm the contracts can just originate within their zones.
So weird thing found a zealot in Grantbridge and decided to pay him a visit...or her now that I am thinking about it. She had a shield so kind of one of those tough fights and didn't have a lot of spare arrows and only two adrenaline bars. So it did not go too well and a bit of a grind, especially since my opening moves of the Nornir thing and it of course hit the shield on the back. After wearing her down with the occasional hammer strike and parry got a chewy in...and then stumped her into submission.
Got to Glowerschire and neat little arc but kind of occurs to me that it is a bit of a 'bonus' arc. Still fun though, wonder what language Bridgid is supposed to be speaking though I swear I hear english words here and there like 'christ' and 'creatures beyond the veil' *eyebrow raise*. And then got some trick or treating in. And Tevid is interesting though because he is such a dick...but I think he will come around? Also fisticuffs. Does make me wonder if that is not a legtimate way to play this game, maybe in the future.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

Yea hDAI is a lon ggame. Fun but long it's roughly the same length as Witcher 3 I believe. Ma ywell continue an dfinish m yactive run as well alongside my Fifa and motor racing a career modes on sports games can take a while too. As it can take rouighly 3- 5days t ocomplete jus t1 season. I do enjo ythe games it's just lik ethat wit hRPG's the ycan b esomewha ttime consuming. Maybe it'll help put me in the mood to test drive EA sports FC 24 if I'm asked to Beta test again this year. I enjoyed m ytime Beta testin gFifa 23 even if i tdi ddistract m efrom playing the Spiderman game at th etime. I still plan on playing the Spiderman games but later now given I'm in a sports mood. Need t ofinish Midnight Suns first though. Given I'm in Act 3 I don't have too fa rt ogo there because Act 3 is quite short compared with the first 2. I should be done wit hth eDLC's toda ythough as I've only got the final mission left at least on that side of things. Going t otry and hold off on doing it until I max out Blade though given I've almos tmaxed him out.Only need abou tanother 4 or 5 friendship points and I'll b eable to unlock his Glaive ability which will be useful considering how similar it is to Hunter's Bladestorm. Must admit I think having Storm Morbius and Blade fullylevelled up will make tha tfina llevel much easier. Still I think taking both a Healing Salve and a Vampiric Essence will be helpful given I won't have the Hunter's healing cards. As the final misson is lead by Blade rather than the Hunter. I still think I need t ofind a good balance as to when and where to do each of the DLC missions but I think I have found them much easier with this approach. As I even managed to 3 star a couple of them on this playthrough. Looking forward to seein gif any of the DLC characters show up in thefinal mission against Lillith this time. I did hav eDeadpool sho wup on m yfirs trun wit hhim but non eof them showed up on my last playthrough. I do think Morbius's Bloodlus tand th eabilit yto automaticall yinflic tBleed on anyone he attacks while in that mode will come in very handy in that final mission. I still have to see if it works though.

Finished Resident 4 Remake. As seen in the image below, I took a long time. That's ok. I will be doing other playthroughs to get the rest of the trophies. I would recommend the game to anyone interested in playing it. 9/10 Collected more trophies. excellent
