I finished Uncharted 4. Enjoyed it a lot. Was quite surprised that this silly adventure game is also a marriage drama, lol. I was totally invested in it. Loved the happy ending. The puzzles are easier in this game. Libertalia is one of the most gorgeous looking set pieces I've ever seen. Stunning art style. The entire series has amazing art direction. It's really just the first game that was boring as hell. Now I've got the spin-off left that I'm putting off for now. Came with Uncharted 4, don't really much care for Chloe's side story but I gues I'll play it eventually. Now I'm playing Lost In Random which is one of the most charming gorgeous looking games I've ever come across. It's like the movie Coraline, very Tim Burton meets Neil Gaiman. Lots of creepy disturbing stuff like that Shadowman who eats children. Or that evil twin of the mayor of Two Town. Just got ferried away by a very funny grim reaper! The writing is SO good! So FUN! The voice acting is terrific, among the best. So is the sound design, especially the filters on the voices. Game's also much longer than anticipated. I've played for about 13h now and I've got maybe a quarter or third left. You progress through six distinctly different towns looking for your sister you're trying to free from the evil queen. Which town people live in is determined by rolling the dice, dooming them to life there. You of course start of in the slums one One Town. The combat system took some getting used to but is actually super fun after a while. Sort of like an action version of Gwent where you build a deck of cards that gets drawn at random. Each time you hit an opponent's crystals a meter fills. Once full you roll the dice and get cards you can choose from that help you in combat. The absolute most fun combination I discovered is using a bubble that does extra damage and placing a crystal inside that explodes repeatedly when hit. Deals massive damage if enough enemies are nearby. But boy, it's not easy at times. For a while it took me 2-4 attempts to beat certain boss battle arenas which means it can take up to like 45min to get through it because there's no quicksave in between enemy phases. I almost rage quit a few times trying to beat the evil mayor. Always died like one hit from killing the bastard because enemies swarm you at the end. It's a game that requires good reflexes on top of some strategic planning. I've got all cards unlocked now. Now the only thing I can still do with my money is buy duplicates. Which can make sense to increase the odds of drawing the card. This is the first EA game I've played in ages. Bought it via Steam, had to download the new EA launcher but thankfully I don't need to log in when I start the game. So it's not much of a bother. Might have to check out EA's indie catalogue. Maybe there are other gems hidden there! I highly recommend this game! Been taking a ton of screenshots of this pretty game:

Well here we are, back again to eliminate Rykaard, which happens on the first 5 minutes of the video, the rest is just me traveling seeking people like Patches and such to move the storyline forward:

Has anyone had trouble trying to run Dragon Age: inquisition on PC through the EA app? I've played the game before on this PC with Origin and it worked fine. But with the EA app it lags horribly. Has anyone had this problem too? Just wanted to test a mod. I haven't tried DAI yet through the EA App but have had terrible problems on Windows 11 with the EA app and DAO AND DA2. Have not tried since setting up an account as a Local account yet though. If I think of it will try tomorrow. DAI w sworkin gfine for me he last couple of dayswhen I wsa playing but then I'm on Windows 10. I did hav eproblems with the graphics settings though as the gam eturned itself onto full 4k and turned all graphics down t olow for som ereason. Though in thast instance I just rese tthem rebooted up the gam eand kep tgoing as I normally hav eeverything se tto Ultra on my current system but the resolution at 1080p. Mainly because I prefer m ygames running at 1080 even if my card is capable of more. Back playin the F1 game F1 2021 and the first Braking point story again atm. Reminding myself yet again that Devon Butler's an ass I'm glad he gets his come uppance a ttheend of the first story. Especiall yhow Akkerman and Jackson team up against him. Especially as Butler was playing Akkerman and Jackson agains teac hother throughout the earlier par tbefoer they caught on as to what he was doing.

GW2
My leatherwork crafting skill is at level 500 now - time to start crafting ascended armor. Other than that, I mainly did events like Tequatl and Drakkar the last few days and Dragon Bash. After DB is over, I will continue the story with my Sylvari ranger. She has an invitation to a party hosted by Queen Jenna. Knowing GW2 by now, that will go south pretty quickly, I'm sure.
SWTOR
I finally finished that boring Ruhnuk storyline with my Twilek Shadow and have started the newest story. I was happy to see a beloved character again, which gives me hope, that this storypart will get better.

Hey dazk! I got it to work. The game was set to use integrated graphics card. Once I set it to Nvidia everything runs fine now.

I played about 30 minutes of AC Odyssey - cpu still getting too hot. Raided Agamemnon's Tomb for an ancient stele/ability point, then headed to Argos to look for Hippokrates. Found his apprentice instead, and an angry priestess of Hera. After finding out where the good would-be doctor had gone, Kass attempted to spy on Midas but his bodyguards jumped her and chased her out of town. She'll have to sneak up on him at night I guess.

Are you using Rush Assassinate? Sneak up, crouch on a roof or ambush him and use that to take him down or at least his health and a heroic Strike should finish him off. You can run away with the guards giving chase if they are there and then double back to confirm the kill.

Legends of Heroes Trails from Zero So instead of going up and down the tower I reloaded before I entered the tower, said brb to the support character and went and got some deathblow negators, upgraded one weapon (since I only had enough for one and the items drop inside the tower and I’m not going back to go back) and messed with the orbments.
Then managed to get almost up to the top before the session had to stop. As suspected the areas are a lot smaller when going back through them, but still glad I did it this way.
Then did the rest of the floors/boss fight in the next session. Deathblow items were such a massive boon. Although it made the boss toss out its other annoying attacks but still. Did the fight twice since I messed up the questionnaire after the fight and while I know I wont max out the detective points I am aiming for a high score. Only had to revive once for the second fight, so that was neat.
Then after was a fairly fun session. Got to see some dancing, some intrigue and enjoy seeing the main character actually do something about a serious issue. Although I would've digged it more if he had tossed the tonfa. Like the tackle is nice but a satisfying thonk would've gone a long way too. Either way, that wrapped up chapter 2. Another plus for the game is that it offers saves after the chapter ends and you can actually then close the game from that menu. Gives it a nice episodic feel and no spoilers for the next chapter. Granted you can force quit games usually but this feels way smoother.

Did you mention getting a replacement or is that too hard? Good luck I hope the turn-around is quick and it is fixed properly. :FINGERSCROSSED:

So yesterday played about an hour of ACOD and Kass sealed Atlantis, I normally leave this till last where it fits most appropriately but I just wanted to clear it. The rest of the story will feel a bit weird but hey, 5th PT. On that will clock up 1,000 hours today (hopefully or tomorrow and now have over 45,000 kills and 9,000+ kilometres travelled. Spoilers galore melbella MAJOR Spoilers Pic's Went to Atlantis well sort of Met Dad Got thrown in the stupid future stuff then headed out and got the final artifact to close Atlantis from the Spinx and argued with Dad to give Kass the Staff which he did. Then more future stuff and effectively the end of the game but I have to go back and finish the story from meeting Myrinne in Lakonia

And is it bad that I think Mass Effect is a better shooter? Same feelings here. I don't think I had a fun time shooting stuff in Halo. Didn't like the weapons or the enemy types.
Liked Halo 2 the most in terms of gameplay and story.

Edit: welp, not fixed. Still overheating just by having Diablo IV open on the char selection screen. If the FPS is uncapped - that char selection screen will shoot the frame rate up the stratosphere and heat up the component to the maximum.
What are the temperatures that you are seeing? How high do they reach? I forgot what your CPU is and what CPU cooler you got.
The problem used to be with Odyssey, but now it's in another game as well. You got to track if it's the cooling or something like uncapped FPS. Slap a global FPS cap of something like 60, then check again. Move it up and down to see if it affects things.
Might even be bad paste, but that's hard to solve from readings alone.
Another thing that comes to mind is if your memory speed is unlocked through XMP or similar in BIOS. That removes the default CPU wattage limits and sets them to essentially unlimited, making the CPU capable of drawing far too much juice. I'd check the long and short power limit duration in BIOS - those are usually something like PL1 and PL2.

My new PC if I unplug it from the wall or take the cover off and put it back on causes the fans to surge. Restarting the PC fixes it, god only knows why that is????? Which fans? The case fans? Sounds like some memory training or similar is happening to the fans due to them or the PC being unplugged completely from power.
In general - when finicky things happen after the PC is completely unplugged from power, then it's probably some BIOS reset. Which most often is being caused by a dead or faulty CMOS battery. Pretty easy fix if so. Your mobo is new, but you never know if its CMOS battery is also new or somehow got depleted already.

90s on all and up to 100 on the 2 cores that keep maxing. This cpu (i7 11700, I think) should be in the 60/70s range under heavy load according to what I've seen online. It's not a little bit high, it's way high. The coolor is whatever one came with the pc - it's only got 3 cooling coils, and the fit is small, so other, better ones won't fit in the case.

With my current system only Ubisoft games like to max out my CPU which might be a similar issue that you are having. I have played Spider-Man, Dead Space remake, and now Diablo 4 and none of those games get my system to the point where I can hear my fans ramping up, but Odyssey, Valhalla, and Division 2 all do and they also regularly crash my system.

Same thing happened with Diablo 4. I played about 30 minutes total before shutting it down.

Ok, I am calling it an inadequate cooler situation with possibly a bad paste job. All the Intel series from the 10th gen and up are hot running bastards. They need beefy cooling. If you say it's some sort of a default cooler and bigger ones are a tough fit, then I can only assume the cooler is not up to the task and your case is also small. Small cases run hotter due to less airflow and packed space. I also am pretty sus on what your techs said. They may have ran stress tests, but a CPU can pass a stress test at a 100C. It just throttles itself and keeps going. And a stress test is miles harder than a game. So no way the CPU remained cooler under a stress test. Ask them if they monitored the temps or just ran a test to see if the CPU will bluescreen. My bet is on the latter.

A tavern at night: was a practice run for the creator and I liked it. A single conversation during a card game in a tavern with a goblin man that blushes. You either get wished good luck, hope to see you again, or an invitation to his room at the end of it. MC has no sprite so name, pronouns, and gender are easily chosen. Horny Witch: Hunt-- had the bones to be good. Instead focused on pretty boring sex scenes so meh. Love Sucks: Night One-- That was a fun, cute, sweet night of sex with a nerdy looking temporary time traveler and his two mythical classmates. All these games with sex and I don't even think I particularly like the sex. Just like that it's there? Because the whole story is available? I wouldn't want explicit sex to be in a self insert game. But for characters I'm just watching enjoying the writing, why not let them have a good time? 🤷🏻♀️ 'Thorn for the Villain~ Reincarnated as an Extra in an Otome Game?!' I'm snort laughing the whole time through. It reminds me of Lost in Austen, a TV series from 2008 where a modern girl goes back in time/into the book of Pride and Prejudice. It's amazing and I love the demo for the exact same reason
Whose route would you choose first? And why?
Vin. Like another user said, Edel scares me too much at first brush. He is also definitely appropriately nicknamed the Bad End Butler and has murdered me several times now.
-What's your favorite scene/event?
I liked so much of it. I laughed when she said money was her favorite gift. I loved torturing Edel through Vin. I loved the commentary in MC's head about how cute Estella and Henry are.
The inner emotional gifs are genius.
I backed it on ichio to get update patches as it's worked on more.

I am having them do a case/cooler swap, a bigger case with more fans, plus a better cooler, so that will hopefully resolve the issue. No more pretty lights though.

Persona 4: Dancing All Night I've completed story mode and some free dance tracks. Had a lot of fun, especially when it was some goofier dancer's turn (not so good for my score, but who cares). When it was Nanako's turn to dance I was ready to take out my pitchfork in case they didn't give her Junes theme. Fortunately, my pitchfork stayed in its dark corner, ready to strike another time. My angel got her favourite theme to dance to Now time to move to move to Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight
