SWTOR
Nar Shaddaa finished during my lunch break. Soon it will be all sand and some rocks on Tatooine, but then my Consular mostly do rocks (not pebbles, that's the Sage, Shadow has proper rock throwing abilities, especially Kinetic Combat).
My Time at Sandrock
It officially released yesterday. So I went and deleted my early access character and made a new one. I just did the first day. I'll probably chip at this a bit here and there. Since you can save whenever now, I can probably do 30 minutes daily sessions or something.

BG3
My Durge Suri Mena is in act 3 now. She dealt with her past and decided to renounce Bhaal and had a very touching scene with Jaheira and Astarion She helped Astarion, Shadowheart, found another companion, dealt with one of her foes (which was connected to her backstory) and will soon try to do a very risky heist - stealing the Orphic Hammer from Raphaels House of Hope
Another character of mine, the githyanki mage Liral is in the Underdark at the moment. I made her as a githyanki, but she is a githzerai, posing as githyanki, to not get into trouble with Lae'zel.

I'm well into Act 3 of BG3, second playthrough. Between playing a Gith'yanki protagonist, keeping a major NPC alive in Act 2, and seeing content I missed in my first playthrough, this second run has definitely been different (and better) than the first.
PS5 says I'm 75% through the game. That seems to match up with the feeling that I was halfway (maybe 60% ?) through the game when Act 3 began. This game is huge. It's so fun to see how much care they put into every part of it.
The latest update, released yesterday, was 11.4GB on PS5. Larian definitely have not been sitting on their hands, basking in the praise. I'm glad they're still polishing the experience. As great as it is, it does still need some work. As expected from a huge CRPG, it has some bugs and instability, almost exclusively in the final act.
Although I should probably take a break after this, I'll almost definitely start a third playthrough. I have too many protagonists in mind to stop so soon. 🙂

Fallout New Vegas
So that was a lot easier then I was giving it credit for. I mean I've seen stuff on this so I had an inkling. Still there were no real clues in each place just that the 'clues' helped you keep an eye out to where you needed to look. ANd boy did you have to be fast and boy does this game play with you given that well the bad guys are actually green but are also obviously bad guys. Still had to be paying attention. So NCR sniper gets shoved off the tower by Legion sniper dressed as NCR. Killed him point blank with the AMR. Then strafed through the crowd and saw an engineer bolt for the podium, put bullets in his back. Then had to rush up to get to the Vertibird and I literally got the prompt as it was going up and away.
Plugged in the overide and that was fun because the NCR was still like 'don't go in there' and well when I went in there even with stealth boy I bumped into them so they detected me. But they just chided me and I had to sneak away and bumped into them again...but they chided me.
Off to the Divide. And bumped into another ED-E, not my ED-E, but mostly mine. Except he is a lot more energetic. Also apparently the ED-E(s) were kind of tortured in their development. Something about a Colonel Autumn which wifey acted like I should know and name sounds vaguely familiar...

Wil probably pick up Scarle tWitch today. I'm a little concerned withthe whole purifying part a si tdoes drain health from the Hunter given I am playing on normal and have limited revives. Thankfully Magik does have her Darkchylde card which will taunt al enemies onto her and makes her invincible for a turn. Bu th etricdk ypar twil be keep th eHunter alive lon genough to do it. Not going to be easy either way and there's a chance my game could end here

Since Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness turned 20 earlier this year, I decided to replay it with as less mods as possible and have close to vanilla experience. Despite all issues this game has I find that it has certain charm. I would like that this game gets remaster first and then proper remake with following sequels as it was planned.

SWTORI finished Tatooine and I'm almost done with Alderaan, only the last zone missions left to do and then the Consular final for Chapter 1. I might be able to get up to where my previous Consular was at tomorrow.

I posted this in a BG3 thread, but wanted to share it with more people. It was a good day of gaming.
I didn't play today, because I just didn't feel well enough. I needed rest. However, my wife started a game of BG3. She has never had a desire to play any video game, ever. I had to show her how to properly hold the controller.
Being married to me for almost 20 years, she has absorbed enough D&D and broader fantasy to know quite a bit. She knew she wanted an Elf Druid, and chose Wood Elf to match her mental image. She chose Outlander background for the same reason. I helped her narrow her spell choices, and explained that she can swap them around as long as she isn't fighting. Even there, her instincts on which spells sounded good were correct.
She was mostly able to get the visual appearance she wanted. She'd have liked to have longer hair in her style, but understood the technical reasons when I explained how challenging hair is. Her character looks great. She's very lifelike, believable, and beautiful.
She even picked a name without any input. She looked at her phone for a minute, and decided on a Dutch name, "Aafje", as having the right feeling to it.
When she got to the Nautiloid, the actual prologue, she was exhausted. She'd spent two hours in the Character Creator, like a true gamer. 😄 I don't know how far Aafje will go, since my wife hasn't yet made it into actual gameplay. Still, it was fun watching her be creative and enjoy the game.

Alan Wake IIBeen a busy week, so this is the first chance I've had to pick this back up. After exploring the topside of NY, the game takes you down through a series of subway tunnels. I feel like I've hit the mid-game doldrums here. It's just not as interesting as the earlier parts of the game and I find myself picking up the pace to get through it... The one thing you'll notice about this game is that you move at a snail's pace. Even jogging feels like some other games' walking speed.

Robocop
I don't know if the choices of upholding the law and building public trust would affect the conclusion. I'm picking as how I would think it is. If someone is worried over a family member, then I would choose to help than tell that person; hey wait another 24 hours before making a report. Or if a bad guy decides he wants to collect his own reward and turns himself in, I would not tell him; you get nothing even though he did it for the $$.
ME3 MP
Incident #1 I had two hilarious incidents. One match was against Collectors and two players kept dying. From what I observed, they seemed a little clueless. In one round, they were reviving each other and dropping for several seconds. Like clockwork, the notifications and sounds kept ringing off until the rest of us went to help them out.
Incident #2 I was playing the Phoenix Adept. A favourite class because of the lash ability with which I'll grab unshielded / no barrier mobs and watch them zip up into the sky when I latched onto them. There's no MP like ME3 MP with chars with such interesting abilities. I love to do this. 😄 Especially to Nemesis because they can really fly.
Want them to fly up? Grab from the top. Want to toss them out of the map? Grab sideways and up. This is particularly good for the map Firebase White when mobs propel themselves onto the landing pad. I sent them back out without firing a shot.
The map was Firebase Rio with Reapers. One of the players was a Drell Vanguard with the biotic charge. I was shooting at a marauder whose shield went down so I used the lash. A second later, the Drell Vanguard biotic charge that same marauder. The next second, my lash had latched on the marauder and it went flying.
The Drell player disappeared just as his charge was about to connect with the marauder. I was busy with the next mob and it was seconds later that I realised that the player had vanished rather abruptly before me. If he had connected with marauder, I would hear the usual boom of the biotic detonation. I didn't hear it. Where did he go? I looked around. I didn't see him.
I then wondered. Did he fly off the map with the marauder? 🤣 He triggered the biotic charge that would automatically path him to the marauder. If said marauder was sent flying by my lash, would he follow as well if he didn't connect? I looked again for the player in the next several seconds. I didn't see him at all. It wasn't until the next round started that I saw him. It's too bad I have no mic or I'll ask him if he had flown off the map with the marauder or did he simply clipped and fell off the map. 🤣

Fallout New Vegas
Things are proceeding apace in Lonesome Road. I must say like video games does this thing, even cinematic fiction to an extent, where they really underestimate just how powerful explosives are. Like C4 and everything is pretty powerful stuff. Now this pales in comparison to what Fallout does traditonally...with nukes. I guess 76 does it well with the world boss sort of thing but this DLC has us detonating nukes in our face...with a laser. Oi ve.
Anyways though on the flip side as with all the DLCs in this the enemies are pretty strong and tough. Gives me an opprotunity to really test out some different weapons and stuff. Actually using 'red glare' which is a unique rocket launcher on them to. Bit spray and pray ironically enough but it helped. Also used the Cyberdog gun on a bunch of tunnelers in the tunnel system which was reealed by blowing up some of those nukes. Certainly a lot of the feckers as Ulysseys pointed out.
Speaking of Ulysseys certainly has a way with words. Kind of the reverse of Boyd Crowder in a way, kind of grating. He just loves to talk. But he is also setting up an interesting mystery to which is a good hook for this particular DLC given that there is some connection between the two and well Ulysseus keeps on referencing a 'home'. ANd keeps on referencing that our Courier has walked this path often and established it as a trading hub between the NCR proper and the Mojave. Which is...intereesting. I hope there is more to it then that.

Thankfully managed to save Scarle tWitch without too many issues and complete Venom's DLC yesterday. till need to do Morbius and Storm's yet. Hopefull ywill d osom eo fMorbius's today at least. I think the next potentially awkward mission will be that final mission wit hCrossbones on the bridge where he has that bomb. Granted ant ymission can b eawkward if yo udon't play them right but stlll that's the one I' mmos tworried about next. I'm not too worried about the fights against Hulk as he only acts on the enemies turn and whil ehis attacks hit hard i fyou are able to handle him right he's not too bad. Must admit I'm looking forward to teaching Mephisto nott omess wit hMagi ko rthe res tof the Midnight Suns. Though I will admi tth eacto rwho plays Mephisto and Morbuis did a grea tjob wit hbot hcharacters in the game.

SWTOR
My "new new" Consular made it to Balmorra, just at the start so not quite where my previous abandoned "new" Consular was but almost. This means I'm a Jedi Master again. Still throwing rocks too.
I'm now doing "diplomacy and politics" to appease some separatists/not actually joined yet Republic systems. First steps: liberate a planet solo! The Consular doesn't do small jobs. The other origins are busy doing "fetch quests" in their 2nd chapters.
I also need to start to wonder if I do the (creepy) Nadia romance or not. I never went far enough with a male consular to do it. Only played one once and I think I stopped around Hoth. Many of my characters stopped at Hoth for some reasons (basically if it's not Taris, it's Hoth).

Alan Wake IIOkay, that subway chapter definitely overstayed its welcome. It took me a couple more hours, and one BS encounter with the Dark Presence, to finish. But it's done. And after a brief visit to Alan's wife's apartment (with a decent FMV segment), we're back to Agent Saga's storyline (and lots to put up on her caseboard).

Midnight Suns Must admit the telling off Magik gives Mephisto never gets old. Hopefull ywill finish Act 2 today and finish Morbius's DLC. That'll jus tleav eStorms missions and Act 3 to do. I'm starting t obelieve I can beat norma ldifficulty. As I hav emos tof th ecards now tha tI like to use. Onl ything I'm lacking is the legendary abilities as I don' thav emany o fthose as I onl yhave Hunter's Magik's and Spiderman's atm. I'm hoping to unlock 1 or 2 others and I think I'm close to unlocking Iron Man's but we'll see.

The Talos Principle 2I loved The Talos Principle, such a beautiful game and the best environmental puzzle game next to Portal1/2 IMO. Last week TP2 came out and I bought it immediately without reading anything about it. Turns out, it's pretty much the perfect second part. It starts where the first game left us, keeps the general premise but adds and expands everywhere. That goes for all aspects of the game, story, gmaeplay, visuals, presentation, etc. I am not going to say much about the story. You basically can't talk about it without spoiling the first part but it nicely continues where the first one left things. You can ask for a little summary of the first part if you want but if you are thinking you might like this type of game, I really recommend playing TP1 first, since it's a really great game and one major part of the fun is to figure out what's actually going on. What I will say is that they ramped up the presentation a little. Where in the first one you mainly read text on terminals, now you are having full fledged dialogues with other NPCs in addition to text and audio files and text based dialogues in a kind of in-game social media format. They kept the beautiful slightly melancholic, philosophical and reflective atmosphere from the first part, which is great! The game is pretty huge, especially for a puzzle game. There are 12 areas to explore, each one with 10 puzzles + more secrets and easter eggs to find. I usually take only a few minutes to solve the puzzles (so far), there have been only 2 where I was kinda not getting it for a while and took a little longer but there is a lot of stuff to explore, secrets to find, etc., so I have already spent over 12 hours in the game and I am probably about half way through. You don't have to explore that thoroughly though and also about 1/3rd of the puzzles in each area are optional, so you can be much quicker. The puzzles themselves start out with the familiar elements from the first part (barriers, jammers, boxes and plates, lasers, air flows, etc.) but each of the 12 areas (so far) brings in a new element (e.g. there are now quantum tunneling machines that allow you to make holes in certain walls, through which you can transfer items but can't go through and so on), Usually the first puzzle in the area explains the new mechanic and the difficult ramps up from there. Solving the puzzles is very rewarding, even though they are not that hard at least in the first half of the game. Visually, it may not be the latest tech or anything but the style is awesome. Every area is different but you always have some combination of natural beauty and crazy architecture. The natural themes go from tropical, to forested, to snow to desert and so on (haven't seen all of it yet obviously) while the architecture is sometimes full on scifi (Syd Mead style), sometimes industrial, sometimes more brutalistic, sometimes even steampunky. But it's always something new to marvel at. Example screenshot from one of the earlier areas: All in all, it's a fantastic sequel to TP1, which was a great game already. Easy 10/10 deep questions about humanity for this one. If you have any interest in environmental puzzlers and thoughtful intellectual stories, play both of them.

I forgot to mention that I've finally build my PC. There were some complications and extra expenses, but it's done!
Today( well yesterday as it's past midnight) I finally played Andromeda again. Felt good, recorded some 4 hours of footage. Tomorrow( well today after sleep lol) I ought to play and record more as we approach possible announcements for N7 Day.
