Trine (2009)
It's an interesting platformer. There are three characters that can be switched to as needed; wizard, thief, warrior. Each has his / her unique skills that can be called on to defeat enemies, surmount obstacles, puzzles and find secret areas.
Game play is simple and easy to execute. Backtracking is allowed and objects in earlier areas can be brought forward. The only problem is the platforming.
Graphics are beautiful. There is a narrator for the story. The characters are voice acted and they interacted with one another as new situations appear.
I would say this is a platformer rpg / dungeon crawler. It's an old game but an enjoyable one. It was released in 2009.

Been playing Robocop Rogue City. It's been pretty fun, nothing ground breaking but very loyal to the source material. It's fun tossing people around, making stuff explode and seeing all the environmental damage you can cause. Has some technical bugs here and there, such as textures loading slowly, huge fps drops in a certain level that can only be fixed on exiting game and restarting etc.
I still prefer the Terminator game the devs did more, but this one is still a good showing from them.

Hogwarts LegacyTheme of the day finishing up one bit of grind to start another. So lets see here spent about an hour and a half today with the intention of doing some exploring, mainly focusing on trying to find Demiguise statues in order to unlock the next levels of Alohamora so I can continue to unlock more doors and chests to get more gear which can get me more money on the off chance I want to buy some more stuff. I guess its the last part of that which could be the most dubious but then this Playthrough I am also making more of an effort to experiment with the RoR and what it has to offer and that costs money. In all this time I only found one of the statues. And it was just as I was about to give up on it for the night to. On the bright side though though I did also continue to find more of the keys and a few other puzzles and things to do and basically did get a lot more secondary stuff done. Just not sure when I will be continuing with the main adventure. Saints RowI'm back. And this game is giving me bi polar fits. On the one hand I do continue to have some fun with the more over top the nature of some of its story and commentary. Helped out JR with a problem with the idols for instance and it was pretty funny running around blowing stuff up. Thing is there is two principle problems really getting in the way which is kind of the same problem. One the game tends to send armies of enemies at you at the drop of a hat ala Dragon Age 2 and just swamps you with baddies and again no cover so you can't really deal with them too tactically. And second the checkpoint system is a mess. If you fail you pretty much have to start over...awhile ago. Plus it is also easy to fail because even if you stray just outside the line the least little bit it will start a countdown and fail if you get to zero nonsense. Happened twice at least. On the bright side one of those things that is fun about a game which starts in medias res to work backwards its fun seeing all the story elements come together. The Saints resolve to get a new headquarters and start being an official organization needing all the stuff a new startup needs, location, name, logo/ branding. And well we basically steel this abandoned church out from under this real estate mogul who was going to bust it down for condos/ appartments which was again quite hillarious but we get to the building and I quite quickly recognize it as the building from the start of the game where the Saints apparently meet their grizzly end. I am very curious to see where this goes and what the twist will be.

Mostly because I wantto finish a tleas 1 or both of those before I start a nwe HZD run. I've not go tmuch further t ogo in Midnight Suns given I'm in the final Act. About to help Agatha reunite with Wanda and maybe do another side quest before I then help Captain America take out the trash in Crossbones. It'll probably b eanother coupl eof days then I'll be done. Not sure whether I want to do a NG+ run or a normal run when I return to Midnigh tSuns later so will likely keep the saves for now. Mainly because I'm tempted to do a run using the Super suit which is only available after you beat the game. Mostly because I'm thinking of giving my next Hunter a bit of a Supergirl look.

Resuming my interrupted DA:Origins mage playthrough after hunting down a new Xbox 360, shooting for an Amell/Hawke/Trevelyan run on the assumption that the Amells and Trevelyans are at least distantly related, because you have to build connections where you can:
Having a great time experimenting with almost pure crowd control, using the Glyph and telekinesis spells and only investing in Flame Blast because it's so convenient to line up with everyone stunned in place. After a dozen or so playthroughs on Nightmare it's surreal to see my party walk through encounters with barely a scratch because the enemies spend the vast majority locked down. And the casting and waiting of conserving my mana while letting the stuns and cooldowns run their course means that I actually have time to zoom around between party members, which'll be great for finally getting some combat utility out of Zevran.
Belinda Amell is currently making her way toward the Brecilian Forest from Lothering, getting to know everyone as they walk and camp. She's not the most decisive or determined yet, fairly sheltered and only just introduced to the realities outside the Tower. So everyone she meets is a new lesson about what the world is outside those walls. Sten is an intriguing mystery, and Leliana and Morrigan are both very stark examples of what it can mean to be a woman and a mage without templar oversight, respectively. Fumbling her way through catty girl-talk with Leliana and navigating solemn and philosophical conversations that somehow feel more like debates with Morrigan, trying to figure out who she is in relation to all these new impressions. Avernus is really gonna blow her mind. Might headcanon the two of them forming a more mentor/pupil-like relationship than the game dialogue allows for in the short time they spend together, since he's technically the senior Warden in Ferelden by... quite a margin, and the only other Warden Mage she'll meet during the Blight.
Had a nice moment with Alistair, too, imagining putting Duncan to rest in Highever once everything blows over. Belinda is definitely young and impressionable enough to fall prey to that smooth, sheepish charm. But the Templar thing might keep her at enough of a distance to take a detour into Leliana's tent before anything gets serious.
Went Arcane Warrior when she reached level 7 and threw the Battledress of the Provocateur on her, since I'll meet the elven sphere thingy in the Brecilian temple soon enough, and picking up Sophia Dryden's armor after a visit to Denerim. Didn't realize that +stamina equipment was so useful to mages before. With Leliana's amped-up Song of Valor and a few points in Willpower I'm having no trouble keeping the spells up. Might go two-handed weapon once I've stacked enough protections for her to survive in melee, too, though I won't be picking Starfang up until it's time to return to northeast Ferelden for the Landsmeet. Seems like Ageless might be the best greatsword for an Arcane Warrior?

SWTORMy Jedi Knight advanced her investigation to find the missing agent on Nar Shaddaa. She found the imperials already took over the super duper secret project the agent was sent to look at. And also that said project used refugees as test subjects. Now she's spending some time in the Red Light districts. Someone has to take care of all those drugs dealers and gangs you know. Nar Shaddaa security is actually useless. ME2 L2I imported Kyra into ME2 (no changes) and made it to Omega after doing a tour of my new ship. I find the email from your bank kind of amusing. My near 3m credits turned into 100k. That was some administrative fees over 2 years. But I actually had over 300k on my character (some of that was picked up before reaching Omega), which means I could go on a shopping spreee! Too bad my Sentinel start only with "throw", it's only fun to use on enemies Jacob has lifted...

Played a bunch more Battlestar Galactica: Deadlock. Campaign is fun so far. I've been unsure what my strategy would look like overall, just fumbling through. Decided to try something kinda against my better judgement when starting a new game, instead of upgrading my main fleet I decided to try and get another full fleet up and running. So far it's done middling well. I do get the sense I should've spent those resources on upgrades so I might've bitten off more than I can chew, but they've won everything so far. Albeit the last one resulted in my first loss, a light Manticore class corvette that got crunched by 4 enemy gunships. Could've reloaded and possibly done the fight without a loss but decided against it. One of the rewards for completing the previous mission I'd just done with my main armada was the exact same kind of ship. It was sitting safely at Ragnarok station doing nothing as both my fleets were at capacity. Been putting off the main story mission for a bit now stomping around. Finally have my first Battlestar chassis being built. The Artemis. Got a couple rolling off the assembly line next turn or two. Another after that queued. Send a couple of those to my secondary fleet, might stiffen their spine a bit without sacrificing damage. And also, it's a frakkin' Battlestar. Viper Mark II's are also in the not-so-distance future, which apparently are quite the upgrade. (Or so I've been led to believe.) The enemy (fairly) consistently sends a single ship out to flank, so far it's been useful throwing my Vipers at that flanker and letting them rip through it while it lacks support from the main body. I get the feeling that won't remain the same for too long though. The enemy seems to be deploying more fighter craft against me so they might be swapping back to interceptor roles.

Theme of the day...sort of dusting off some old habits with some of my video game playing tonight. Well sort of old since I sort of try and do this anyways with both games I played. And well some interesting ME related news, not worth sharing in that thread I suppose, but in my watching of a lets play for ME 2 I discovered that the armor I put my Shepard in ME 3 is actually in ME 2. So...yeah I am a little annoyed because that would work out nice but then I would have to take all those screen captures again...or not exactly. Hogwarts LegacySo spend an hour plus running around the castle and only found one Demiguise statue at the last minute. Step out into the country side and find one in the first minute. Made some significant progress on it to actually though I got a bit stuck on some of the Merlin's trials today but then I found some more while in the course of doing the Helm of Urkot...so yeah did the thing where I did spend a little time advancing the story instead, the theme. Bit odd with the Merlin's trials and well the ancient magic hot spots I actually ran into a Merlin trial where I had no memory of it. Wasn't difficult, very simple really, just using reparo to repair statues. And well that stupid little one where you use basic casts on orbs, very easy to do but man are those giving me fits on how dispersed they are. Ditto for the ancient magic thing because it was just this ruin but they were just faaarr placed in some background field. SO this took awhile. After the Helm of Urkot did the Follow the Butterflies side quest. Which...well two odd RPG bits here. Got the quest because forgot what the reward was and its just spell crafts so...yawn. But getting back to her the option was to tell her that it was 'nothing special' so I thought it would tell her some version of that, but instead it was a flat out lie that we didn't find anything at all. So oops. Second off ran into a guy who wanted me to steal a Venemous Tentacula from a former business partner to screw him over for cutting them out. And well that's not moral and again just getting more into the groove of playing Marcus as a Knight Errant. Just a really ambitious one. So not something he would do per say, still debating on doing Descending for Sweets. But the thing is it just counts for any Venemous Tantacula. So I gave him one I probably just grew on my own...and then just the implications of that are really funny. Like 'aha I stole your plant!' what are you talking about? Saints Row And just focusing on the main missions...or the main missions and the companion missions that you have. And well first off just amusing that with both this and my brief experiences with GTA just without any RP seems I am more inclined to do self inserts...at least in terms of character design and dress. Granted this guy does seem to have my sass and well I guess how I would act like this if I were a criminal mastermind...probably aside from the murder machine. But got three missions done. And this game has a weird obssession with time limits. First up the Idols captured Kevin and tied him up to a chair on top of a bill board when they were going to bomb said bill board. Ten minutes to go rescue him and shoot up a lot of idols and disarm five bombs. Actually wait four missions. Second Kev wanted a toy that he couldn't get from his youth that was back in circulation. Idols stole it, went to go after the shipment and just got stuck a couple of times and it gave me ten seconds to deal with it. Third. Neenah's Los Panteros boss Sergio stole her car. Eventually we had to go get it and tracked down its final location. Three minutes to get there, got stuck, had to start the whole thing over. And when we got there he actually managed to push it off the cliff and destroy it anyways. Should've seen it coming. On the flip side did tug at my heart strings since Neenah relayed the story of how this car was her mom's and wouldn't let anyone drive it except for Neenah after she had to get chemo treatments. Doing a bad job of explaning it. Fourth had to go rescue our crew who got into it over an armored truck and cops showed up. Went to go deal with cops and failed the mission because I got too far out of the perimeter. The fun bit is on the replay all my crew went charging off right where I did when I failed. And then for some reason the armored truck just exploded when Neenah tried to run a blockade seemingly for no reason.

More binge playing Coral Island. It's just so gosh darn chill. Got some farm critters now. A chicken, duck, quail, pig, goat, sheep and a cow but just one of each. I want a peacock too but it's expensive and I'm bad with money. Also there is a ferret at the ranch above me and I want it. Although raising it for produce might be kind of nasty. It could just chill. Being cute and stuff. Ferrets are like chill minks right? Farming isn't too terribly in depth, just give them their pets, get the produce and then let them out/feed'em. If I let them out they go inside by themselves sometime in the evening, so that's really nice. Just need to remember to let them out. There are also house pets but haven't gone for them yet. They are super cute but I'm not spending a lot of time at the farm currently so wouldn't want them to get lonely.
Season wise it's currently winter and I'm feeling pretty bored. The crops that are available take long time to grow and I'm too stupid to use the time to hone the other skills, like fishing and mining. Did make a small section for my jam/booze making tools and think it looks pretty neat. It's not a big production (think 6 kegs and 6 jam makers) but still the biggest I've made so far in a farming game. So that's neat. Kinda wanting to make some decorative areas but then the issue of money raises it's ugly head. Boo.
Been running around trying to trigger heart events. The ones I've gotten are really cute. The villagers are so freaking precious. Love it. Hope the update that fixes the flirty heart events drops soon so I'm not the only one running with hearts in my eyes. But it's just been really nice.

SWTORNar Shadda's adventures came to an end for my Jedi Knight. With that little super duper secret project dealt with, she can now move on to another issue: someone near her current "big bad" apparently want to defect. That very much sound like a trap. ME2I finished my shopping on Omega and went to talk to Aria and the Mercs. Now I need to decide if I get the Doctor or Archangel first. Too late to do that tonight thought. Also, I was thinking of playing MEA after MET, but with Dragon's Dogma 2 showcase, I might actually try a run at Dragon' Dogma again.

Well just my luck, as I already completed adding the Allosaurus and Nasutoceratops to my JW Camp Cretaceous build now I have to go back later today and decide which animal enclosure will be redone to accommodate the Tarbosaurus:

Hogwarts Legacy I still find the whole beast thing odd. Like I get it. Capturing beasts in order to rescue them and put them in a shelter. I know this kind of thing happens all the time...but this is also the exact thing that the poachers are doing. With the exact technique. Not ripping off their stuff but...sure. Absurd thought that Deek was basically a deep cover agent for his former poacher master. Hunt for the Demiguise statues continue after that. Kind of occured to me to actually check the map for them to see where they are and hunt them down. On the good news I did find one in the Great Hall that way. Bad news I didn't actually realize that there was none in the Grand staircase. So all that time I spent hunting around for them thinking 'oh there must be one in the trophy room.' No, no there isn't. I think why it never occured to me before because the boundaries aren't exactly defined you can wander from one area to the other quite easily. Still. More general news don't think I've commented on how beautiful this game is recently. And also the ambient music of this game is just almost pitch perfect. Raeally does John Williams proud. In other gaming news my wife started a new playthrough with her Shepard, Nora, in ME 2. Since she apparently really does not like ME 1 and wnats to get started on the juicy stuff with Garrus. She had fun wasting bullets by shooting Wilson and the holograms of Miranda.

Should b edon ewith Midnight Suns toda yas I'm a tthe endgame now I'm just doing some sidequests while unlocking Hulk's cards and upgrades. Once I'm done with that I'm onto the finale. Don't know yet which of MEA, DAI o r Hogwarts ye tthat I'll go back to after but it likely will be one of those 3 but I'll decid etha tafter I'm finished .I do want to finish a tleast 1 or 2 of them before I entertain starting a new HZD run. Once I'v efinished doing MEA an dDAI though it's likel yI'll be doing fresh full runs of both series after HZD. Then I ma ytry and either have another go at the Witcher series or play Baldur's Gate or Divinity Original Sin after that. I plan to focus mor eon m yaction based games though fo rnow because I feel in the moo dfor a bit moe raction than strategy given how much time I've spent with Midnight Suns lately which is why I''m not jumping into Baldur's Gate straightaway given both Midnight Suns and BG are both strategic games.
I maythrow in a little Gotham Knights as well along the way and try tha tagain but not sure yet.

SWTOR
Landed on Tatooine, now I have to find a planet destroyed weapon before the planet is destroyed. I also need to find something Czerka left behind.
ME2
I did Mordin's recruiting mission. I missed his motormouth speech pattern. Next is Archangel...

Hogwarts Legacy
The worse part of looking for Demiguise statues in the castle is apparently they are very hard to find. But on the outside the issue is there is just so much potential other stuff to do out there as well. I mean basically this game can be divided into three rough activities, main questing, side questing, and then the whole exploring collectathon questing as well. But I did get the last two Demiguise statues for level 2 of the Alahamora quest and now just 13 more of the suckers for level 3 so lets hope I can go and get those.
On the other hand next little thing I did was one of my favorite little set pieces. The Mauween bridge with a lot of goblins and what not on the other side. Kept knocking me off the side of the building into the water so that wasn't fun. And well I remembered I liked it but the Ancient Magic stuff going on in it to, I now know why that was so difficult for me to because one of them is hidden behind a level 2 lock. On the other hand though trying to get clever in solving it I went verticle with the broom. Sometimes this worked in the past. But there was something on the roof which triggered another collection that I don't think I've ever gotten before in my first playthrough. Landing pads for broom. And intriguing thing if you get it you get a quiditch captain's uniform so curious to see how that would look on Marcus.
Speaking of though kind of...Marcus is unfortunate in a way since I knew he was just going to be not a full rush through but not too detailed as I just am doing this to get to that one quest line I missed in the first playthrough. So no chance that he is really going to be up for 'canon' consideration. Which is a bit unfortunate.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

Yeah that's one of the main things I really like about these open world RPG's. Say wha tyo uwil about all the fetch questing we kind o fhave to do in them but they all take place in pretty worlds that for me makes m wantt oexplore them. So all the fetch questing for me never becomes too much of a problem. Even DAI despite it being nearly 10 years old now is just as beautiful t ome I remembe rcommenting on i tmyself tha tthe game is still beautiful even by today sstandards. It may lack one or 2 things that more recent games take advantage of such as hair physics and such but it still has it's charm.

Must admit considering it was many of the VA's first go at voices in a game for Hogwarts I think they did a really good job. I will say that.

Yes! We open the park and get on with animals like the aquatics, I know it isn't until the end but the creatures on the aquatic section really are something:
