Finished up Everspace 2. It was pretty solid, though still haven't had a space game capture my attention like Freelancer did when it came out. Looks like there is some endgame stuff you can do with Rifts. Essentially arena type zones you go through with a higher chance to drop legendary gear. But with really no other post game content to really chase don't see much point.
Not really sure what I'm going to start up next. Either gonna be Robocop, or the Hitman Trilogy I've had sitting around for a while.

PC came back and the usual routine of installing games etc began. I had told the tech to install 11 but he mentioned that he could install 10 and I could upgrade as when I want to so I said ok. He ended up installing Win 11 which is turning out to be rather unfriendly for gaming. I couldn't install Cyberlink because some invisible Admin in the PC keeps blocking me. I had unfortunately paid money for it. MET couldn't run because Win 11 was missing d3d9 and d3d10 which I have to locate and install myself before the game will run. Now I'm trying to launch The Invisible and the game messaged about running install script. It took about five minutes and then nothing happened although the game is registered as running in Steam I didn't have so many problems with the laptop which was originally on Win 10 but I accidentally upgrade to 11. If you're on Win 10, stay with it. The biggest issue I had with Windows 11 was that it hijacks everything you want to install and put it on Onedrive. I set up a Local account and told it I didn't have a Windows ID and was then able to install the games locally on the C:\ drive and have had zero issues with any of MET, MELE, DA games or any other game I have installed including multiple Crytek, Ubisoft or other games. The people in this thread were a really big help with the Windows 11 stuff and other Tech stuff. bsn.boards.net/thread/18669/end-year-pc-build?page=102

Hogwarts LegacyFun ambient dialogue I think to start with...hope not going to get the timeline wrong again but I suppose with the way I should be doing this moo point? But in the bathroom somewhere in Hogwarts heard a student say how awesome it was that Black was headmaster because he would deal with the mudbloods. Checked the subtitles and the student was a Gryfindor. Now obviously IDIC is a thing but fiction does not always do that because archetypes and what not...especially a series that hasn't always done a good job in that particular aspect...so sometimes it comes off as a little bit of a surprise when fiction just throws in a curveball like that. But then that is what I am trying to do with Marcus to so here we are. I am kind of trying to wrack my head over something to and once more might serve a wider point but on the way to a quest Professor Fig and Marcus was discussing how to deal with Goblin's. And Marcus mentioned that 'can't we just apparate through. No maybe he would from beginning of the game. But my thought process it struck me as very odd since that is very advanced magic for HP and since I didn't remember where he might've seen an example of it just like...how does he even know about it. Which then speaking of which very convenient set up to since Fig breaks open a door with Alohamorra, which Marcus then asks about, and he says that Fig will make sure to teach him soon. And well that is pretty much one of the next main quests which comes available after... Professor Rackham's TrialKind of interesting that this takes place in San Bakar's tower but its not the trial for San Bakar.
So yeah mostly here just trying to remember things. And well took me awhile to find the way into the place because well the door was obvious but they made you have to go out and find a clue which was barely in the ring in the first place.
Rest of the puzzles I either got really lucky on or pretty much remembered how to do them right through. Only one that was a little troublesome was the archway with the bridge which dissapeared. Neat little gameplay gimmick.
And the boss still can't figure out how to 'destroy the orb' at all. So did start the Moon quest to learn Alohamorra. Just funny having Moon waiting there as I went hunting for a Daedelion key and then it was hillarious just the implications ot the time shift to get to night so we could see the first moon. Did we alter the flow of time or did we just stand in that spot for hours? And if he hates them that much then how could he stand being in its presence for that long?

The Invisible I don't know why some players call this a walking simulator. Sure you do walk around but it's not walking around doing nothing. There is driving too. The paths are linear but you have to pay attention to the surroundings and what the map say. The protag, Yasna, is an interesting character. I didn't read the novel but I've a mind to get it and find out what she's like in the book. If she is the same as represented in the game; I love the VA. The sounds and music can be a bit unsettling at certain parts. They gave me that A L I E N vibe. I went; shit...what's coming up? Since the protag has no weapons, I slowed down and moved more cautiously. There are events that raised questions to which I have no answers yet but I have my suspicions. The story is intriguing and absorbing. I'm making some dialogue choices that I think are definitely going to effect the ending. I also think I may have missed some clues or didn't explore some areas properly. I think I'll be playing this again once I finish the present PT.

Thankfully 10 is better now even if I still hav eto fin dthe occasional workaround for on or 2 of my older games when I play them bu tth workarounds for Windows 10 do work which is th emain thing. So it's likel y I'll d othe sam ewit hWindows 10 really stick with it till MS stop supporting. M yguess is it'll be time to get a new PC then anyway. We may hav eto wait a while before 11 is ready. Either way I was planning to stick with 10 for now anyway

Hpoefull ycan mak esome good progress like yesterday an giv emyself a chanc et ofinish Act 2 at least today but we'll see I have been considering just putting BG3 on my external drive but don't know yet so I can just dive in when I'm ready I want to eventually put all 3 games together in the same place but don't know when I'll get that chance. Mostly because I need to finish NFS Hea tfirst. I'll wait a little while though as it will mean another day playing Fifa. Which like Midnight Suns I've played a lot of lately and need to give it a break.

Hogwarts LegacySomehow the quest hunting for the Demiguise's got a lot worse and a lot better. I swear they changed it. And I guess not much to spoil per se but at the beginning of the quest well once more like last time I wanted to get into one of those cipher door things but a prefect was right in the way so did the thing where I do basic cast he goes 'huh' and then walks off to go investigate. Thing is he would just pop right back into place in front of the door with no preamble, no moving, no magical indication just one second gone and the next second in front of the door. Thing is despite being like point blank range, almost touching the guy and the whole thing went through the alert signal straight to almost full yellow...and then nothing. Just must've been the wind, or Peeves. And that was a trend which continued throughout the entire quest to. Granted maybe I was just that good but didn't get caught once and some of it was just more then a little odd. So from there more assignments to get more spells learned knocked off Aresto Momentum and...Descendo. Kind of funny though one of the objectives which was to get 'troll bogeys' Which is fine was planning on doing that one quest to kill off two birds with one stone...maybe. But it just auto completed. Like I just randomly looted them off a poacher in the wild or something. Like I did just get one right before it completed. Its also sometimes weird because the assignment system, while it makes perfect sense from a video gamey perspective...barely holds up even under that auspice. See we got that assignment from Professor Onai, the Divination prof...that is fine. But she mentioned that 'she hoped that the assignments helped focus our minds'. Which is just odd given its collecting troll bogeys and launching levitated enemies. Not sure what they could've done instead but something more...divinitation related? Anyway sfrom there onto... Beast ClassAgain not always easy to know what to spoil and what not to spoil. Though not much here but it is kind of interesting...basically you do the beast class and a Slytherine and a Ravenclaw starts to torture one of them...Poppy does not take it well...and you come to Poppy's defense as well. Now again not sure how they can handle pro animal abuse, or animal abuse with any nuance but this is an RPG so would've been nice to have more options. Of course then the weird thing is they also do it later anyways when you mention you feel uncomfortable.

The Invincible Finished the game and I got the good ending in this blind PT. The game has 11 endings but I think it's actually two with nine variations depending on player decisions / actions and what she has found / available to her. I also learned that the game is the prequel to the novel. The novel picks up after the game. Interesting! Now more than ever, I want to read the book! Edit. So Yasna, the protag in the game, is not the main character in the book. Yasna and her crew are created solely for the game. Dang. The game has two good endings, I think. I got one of them. The other has to be the "canon" conclusion that will gel with the book. The graphics in this game varies and not consistent. Sometimes it's really beautiful. Other times it's ordinary. One bad thing about this game; a single auto save for one PT. No manual save, I'm starting another PT and I can either overwrite the first one or begin a second autosave slot.

SWTOR
My Lady Jedi Knight is now on Taris. I went back to Sentinel Combat style too after trying Watchman for a while and with Kira in two instead of T7 on my last aborted Knight. Kira isn't as good as a healer as T7 but now that she's over 10 appreciation level it's not so bad, also she's less annoying than T7 healing with it's non-stop sound FX.
ME1
I wanted to do Noveria after getting Liara, but then I thought it's probably better if I do it last. So I turned the ship around and went to Feros instead. I also got like a bazillion UNC quests waiting in my journal. I did one on the way to Feros, but they just keep accumulating!

Been mostly working through the Midnight Suns DLC's today before progressing into Act 3. Almost finished though I still have the last mission to do. Will likely do the last part of that tomorrow along with starting Act 3. Hopefully will have better luck on it this time given this was where my Normal difficulty run ended. But then given I'm back on Story mode I'm hopeful I won't have the same problems.

The Invincible Finished the second PT. It went faster as I know what to expect. I picked up a few things which I missed in the first PT. Although there are 11 endings, I'm not going to try for the other nine. A few of them are bad endings of course. One of them is a bit of good and really bad which I'm not going to take because it's a (times a million zillion trillion) stupid decision considering the likely consequences. One thing I wish the devs added in is a choice of picking up something. Yasna talked about this and I can't believe they didn't throw in the option. There's talk of a sequel. If there is, I'm not sure how the writers are going about it because Yasna and her crew are not in the novel. I guess it would work if the story thread is picked up after the novel or run independently parallel to the novel. I took a look at other gameplay of this title on YT. I think how players choose their answers / responses shaped the character of Yasna because I was startled by the way Yasna spoke in the vid I watched. I chose to be open minded, to disobey out of compassion, loyal, so the Yasna I played has a different vibe to her voice and manner.

Cyberpunk, Trine I was wondering what to play so I tried Trine for a bit. It's a platformer but it's a beautiful platformer. I tried for about five minutes but as it's getting late, decided to leave it for another day. Then I decided to see how Cyberpunk run on the new rig. There was some stuttering during a shoot out and I realised I didn't adjust the settings. Will see how it goes tomorrow. Meanwhile, the V I made.

ME1Totally blitzing through this. I finished Virmire and Kyra Shepard is currently in the Rift Station looking for Matriach Benezia. A few hours left and I'm done with ME1. I'm just missing the sequels gameplay upgrade too much. Also, die a crazy amount to rocket to the face. I don't remember that on my two previous run in ME1 MELE. Maybe Sentinel is a crap choice after all. I might go back to Infiltrator for ME2. SWTORMy not-quite-a-baby-anymore Jedi Knight is already on Nar Shaddaa investigating some nasty totally illegal project the Republic kinda lost control off. I guess it is in the proper hands now, it's totally something the Imps would do. I'm still not 100% satisfied by my character fashion too. Somewhat distracting. The amount of credits I'm wasting there changing pieces in the outfitter.

Tried Battlestar Galatica: Deadlock last night. Just did the first couple missions which are basically all tutorial, your menu-decisions are all scripted. On the plus side while they're explaining to me that I can actually launch vipers I already had a flak screen up with BS:Athena and the toaster's fighter squadron trying to intercept ran straight into it. Second (second/third?) mission before you drop it off and start building what I imagine is your true fleet. All of the Cylon raiders died quite quickly so that was a fun bit of "fuck you" to the tutorial scripting. And also that I managed to pull it off flawlessly with 0 clue of what I was doing. "Oh there's a FLAK button. " Still lots to learn, not sure of much yet, but it's slow fun. I kinda like the slow speed of the ships, gives the same sense as the reboot tv series did. The music is very inline with the show too so far and I am enjoying it. They pair the aesthetics of the old show with the advances of the reboot well from what I've seen. On the fence about the turn-based+real-time mechanic as a whole but I'm giving it a shot. Missile volleys are pretty satisfying, but I wish I could zoom in on the vipers first person or something close to watch em strafe and manoeuvre. If anyone's played it before and has any advice I'm happy to hear. (Bugs to watch out for, common building/blueprint/officer pitfalls, how to properly use fighters... whatever really... I embrace the noob within. ) Oh, and 'cause I don't have any screenshots...

I guess it is in the proper hands now, it's totally something the Imps would do. I'm still not 100% satisfied by my character fashion too. Somewhat distracting. The amount of credits I'm wasting there changing pieces in the outfitter. Sentinel is the best!!!!! More likely you are rushing, that's when I find I get too many rockets to the face. Me rushing. Now way!!! Surely that's not why I usually play Vanguard... I actually feel underpowered a bit in ME1 right now. Most attacks seems to hit right through my shields/barrier and weapons don't appear to hit as hard as I remember despite maxing the skills. Lots more rocket drones/geths than I remember too. I think there might have been a patch since the last time I played MELE that might have changed some stuff too (I never used mods with MELE), since I'm not finding some of the stuff I remember using and I'm getting XI level gear drop currently. Anyway, not a big thing, I'm almost done with the game and it's not that hard, just a bit different then I remember MELE to be. And I might stick to Sentinel and take assault rifle (but I love shotguns you know). I was thinking of making one for MEA after I'm done with MET too.

It's been at least a year since I played MELE and the good old EA App is telling me I have zero hours played and have not played it since two months after launch (July 2021) but I played it six times I think in a row!!!!! I am an AR person and a non-rush person except now in MEA where I know every map like the back of my hand and I am OP'd and just run around like crazy.

EA new app is telling me I have under 20 hours played of MELE, yet I had 200+ hours in the months following its release. And I was just sold out by Udina. " Nobody stab me in the back Udina, nobody". I'm going to save the Council just to spit him. As a note, killing the Rachni Queen the same day you go euthanize your very sick 20 years old cat is way worst than I imagined. edit: I finally found one of the things I used a lot on a preview MELE ME1 character. I guess it's just a very rare drop.

Yeah quiet often I di ea lo tif I don' ttyake on a fwe side quests and tak em ytime. Sometimes i tcan be temptin gt ojus tbeeline it especially if it's a timed mission or whatever like Garrus's recruitment mission in ME2 when you split up from him to close the shutters i nhis base. I may doa fresh run of the trilogy after I'm done with Andromeda but don't know yet. I'm kind o ftempted t odelet emy old saves thoug hthreby effectivel yresetting it. Mainl y so I'm working with a clean slate when it comes to upgrading.

Also, die a crazy amount to rocket to the face. I seem to remember the rocket drones at Luna AI station introducing my adept's face to a bunch all at once. Yeah it seems EDI likes he rrockets an dguns doesn' tshe? Jus tglad we can keep an eye on her in ME2 and 3

So sorry, I know how tough that is. Sending hugs your way.

ME1Commander Shepard was victorious. I had to restart the last boss fight because the middle cutscene froze the game. No biggies, the last boss didn't live that long after reload. The frog is more annoying than dangerous. Speaking of Commander Shepard, I forgot to mention a few days ago that I saw someone in SWTOR name his male Jedi Knight after the character and all I could think off was "wrong class and gender pal". Should have been a female Trooper... And now I have to decide if I start ME2 already or wait a bit or check mods. I saw there was some community patches for MELE. I didn't bother for ME1 since I was well into it when I discovered them, but maybe for ME2 and 3. the same day you go euthanize your very sick 20 years old cat is way worst than I imagined. So sorry, I know how tough that is. Sending hugs your way. Thanks.
