Hogwarts Legacy So to other problems with the combat being so good in this game in the specific way its good. 1. Its easy to get over confident, just beat up a level 20 troll and cheesed him, so this gang of random goblins should be easy...not so much. And 2. Well also hard to leave things alone when you know you can defeat it. Especially when you think you need to get through an area of bad guys to get to where you want to go...which you then discover you can't quite get to anyways. I forgot how grindy this game was when it comes to its economy in the beginning. Granted a broom would cost a lot of money its about the same as a car...but then the issue is that some of the potions and recipes also cost about the same as the broom. So need to get a lot of grinding in for Marcus to get everything he did. Sell stuff to get him up...and then its gone very quickly. Rinse, wash, repeat, lots of exploring, crappy inventory system. In the Shadow of the UndercroftA very small quest but an interesting one that really feels like it gets the plot going.
First of all we got Confringo which its a bit of an odd spell all things considered in terms of how the game is portraying it. As a banned spell...which is weird because its not like its a Unforgivable or anything and does not seem more powerful then Incendio in terms of horribleness. But there might be clues in the name later.
Second development we got another introduction to Ominis at least directly. WE've seen him around and we've shared classes but this is the first time we have met him and talked about him and to him directly. And well always fun trying to come up with characters for role playing and then come up with another character for role playing and then finding ways to make another character to play different but also logically different. Like I do this thing where I play my characters fairly opposite of one another but I don't just automatically do different things. In that spirit though I decided that Marcus would tell Ominis that Seb showed us the Undercroft. It makes absolutley no sense to lie to him given things would be, or should be, much worse for us if we didn't. Like there is no way we could've just stumbled upon it so Seb would've had to have told us and well that kind of what I think should be an obvious lie would just put us off on a bad start with Ominis. However I am pretty sure I chose different options the second time from Honor and had Marcus push back. Ominis still pointed out that we did just technically betray Seb but he got a little flustered and gave it up. Speaking of differences between characters though I find it rather hilarious and in fitting for the basic outline for Marcus's character that he is getting this whole flamboyant super hero persona going on out in the wild. Again combining Gryfindor and Slytherine values. Ambitious but also brave. Hmm do wonder how I will play that third character...if I get there. But got him in a Stylish Fedora. The Legendary Armor which is black leather and even metal bits, and 'solar protection glasses'...sun glasses in other words. So he looks very much like the SIlver Shroud from Fallout 4 fame and I am just so tickled by this development of him just going through the outback saving cabbages, righting wrongs, but always getting his cut (well usually) like some hard nosed private dick. On the flip side though I have put a couple of points into the Dark Arts for the first time in this playthrough and reading through the options, some of it sounds really OP. Yeah i f I were to mark Hogwarts down on anything it would b eit's grindy nature. Don't ge tme wrong it's a fun game bu tthe fac tyou need to grind fo rmoney and grin til you r34 before you ca nconsider the game done does kind of put m eoff a little bit. It's on eof the main reasons why I prefer DAI's system in this instance a syou can dive int othings wheneve ryo ufeel you'er ready. The levels it gives yo uare recommended rather than forced on you. Sure it's got the power point system but I don't think it's as severe as Hogwarts system. But yeahthe grind is why I jus tdecided this playthrough fo rthe assignments that I'll jus tbyu the potions o rwhateverI need for now to use and ge tth eingredients and recipes when I have the money to ge tthem and make more if I need it then as it should b eeasie ronce I get tha tnab sac kand sel lthe animals I don't need at that shop. It should be easier t oget ingerdients plants and potions I need then. So fo rnow I'm jus tmakin gd owit hwhat I can get. Anywa ythink I'll try an dfinish Summe rtoda yat Hogwarts if I can and then hopefull yreturn t oMidnight Suns and get throug hthe rest of that as I still hav eActs 2 and 3 to play there on m ycurrent run. Obviously m ynext main things there will be pick up Venom and Wolverine but I'll likely do a sidequest or 2 first.

SWTORI mostly just did the Galactic Season stuff today, for about one hour. I did everything I wanted to do, lol. But I started Chapter 2 of my Smuggler story too. I now I have to land on Balmorra. Again. I did the GS stuff with a Consular...and I kinda want to play that a bit more too. ME1Played this a bit more and I already killed another Tresher Maw. Basically two in a row, but there was some scavengers and biotic terrorists in-between them. The worst part is that I'm just trying to get to Liara's dig site. I'm also wondering if I should change class. I need more biotic power. Sorry tech powers you are kinda boring (probably because you are OP in ME1). I'll probably just end up playing Vanguard again...

ME1 update
Kyra was "reborn" and is now a Sentinel (still going for Renegade). As a bonus, I had more success with her face this time. And that means I'm back on Eden Prime.

Hogwarts Legacy
Continuing on the hunt for more money and resources and stuff with the game and diving into the mechanics. Seems its one weird thing I think I am really powering through the levels for this game so far but I am only just getting to some of the mechanics. And in other news too like seems its really weird sometimes how un memorable this game was in its first play though and how much I forgot...despite playing this game relatively recently.
Like the main and first quest I did tonight I had no memory of doing it the first time. I guess that should not be too unexpected but just a moment where had to solve a little scavenger hunt which led me to...another cosmetic. Arthur Plemley apparently got gold out of the deal. Seems kind of interesting how little of the side quests give you actual gold for doing them. Which is probably not as annoying but one of those things where some form of New Game Plus could've just helped it out.
Next up started the quest for the Daedellion Keys.
Wrapped it up there are these chests that you have that have eyes on them. And I knew you had to do something with them but did not remember what and this is despite me figuring it out late last playthrough. Well just facing off against one of them and I was like 'what do I blind it...can I dissapear...oh dissilusionment charm'. Kicker is they have 500 gold a piece so that could be really helpful that I remembered this early.

Yeah those eye chests aer really your main source of money early on as there's not really any other way you can earn any except for sellin ginventory you're not using. I' m working through the Daedalian keys missoin as well but I ten dt ogenerall wait unti laftre I get the Alohomora spell first tha tenables you to pic klocks which you get from the caretaker. I've managed t oge t some but I'm onl yabout half wa ythroug has I onl yhave about 7or 8 of them atm. I'll finish that off when I com eback as I'm planin gon returning to Midnigh tSuns today given I've finished Summer now on m ycurren tplaythrough.

Persona 5 Tactica I've been stuck in this game since its release. As of right now, I've finished main story and completed all but one achievement. Getting the last one, which require completing Persona compendium, is a couple more hours of playtime in NG+ (since you have to level up Phantom Thieves again), so for now I'm switching to DLC story. Overall, I have a blast... even if one level early on made me question capabilities of my tiny birb brain. But I figured it out, so me and my tiny birb brain are fine
Also, Lyn songs slap as always. I have Revolution in your Heart stuck in my head and I'm not complaining.

Been binge playing Coral Island. It's really really cozy. But it feels kinda unfinished at parts. The heart events are interesting, lots of ones where you are just witnessing them off to the side. Which is a neat little change from having the world revolve around me. But also my ego. The festivals are fun too. There is usually a few events going on outside the main event, which is very neat. The grindy stuff is just so chill. Like there is a big area where you are cutting down trash. Just going around, cutting with your scythe. And it was so cozy. Had some playlist in the back for background noise and just went at it. Same with the mines. Had a fairly big bug today though, since a cutscene didn't fire when it should've and since the game only saves when you go to bed, I don't want to save and then be stuck with a broken game. But also don't feel like redoing the stuff I did to see if it was just a one off. Figure I'll be in the mood for it tomorrow. Or maybe I'll start a new character and enjoy the early game grind again and try befriending some other townies since I like having different social circles in different saves. Or maybe I'll move on to some other game and give this one more time to cook.
Been eyeing Persona 5 Tactica but on the fence which platform to get it at. Which is a luxury problem indeed.

I bought Talos Principle 2 (they have it bundled with 1 for less than just 2 costs so gave me the lower cost even though I already own 1), Jedi Survivor, and ...dundundun... Stellaris. Wish me luck not falling down that rabbit hole.

SWTORSmuggler landed on Balmorra. She has a mission to acquire some super secret weapons from a Republic project that the Imps control now that they took over the planet. Of course the idea is to resell those to the original project owners make money. My smuggler love money... I also kinda want to play a Jedi again...it's going to be hard to still to one character. So I might go back to my Bar'senthor who has to go chill on Hoth. ME1My Sentinel is now a Specter. I rush by the Citadel, I'll go back once I got Liara to do the side quests there I think. Or maybe not. We will see if I want to rush this and only do the main story or everything. Self portait Been binge playing Coral Island. ... I was wondering if you were going to try it. I'm going to wait a bit before buying it. I believe there was a few features left for post-launch roadmap when I read about it launching. I didn't really followed the game development thought, but it looked Stardew-Valley nice and less "manufacturing" focused than My Time At series.

Got griefed in F76 in a workshop for the second time. Though I found a very good hiding spot they were hunting all around to find me... 600+Lvl VS a 91 LvL--- LOL Took them awhile: 15 minutes or so to find me and flame me but that meant I held the workshop in a contested state for that long... I have seen most people just give up or have to deck out a lot of resources to get necessary armor to combat this...
That got me thinking... Since they are causing me grief I will cause them some grief. The only resource I have in plenty is wood so if I loose it. It doesn't really matter.
I know. I know. Its pvp area and that is fine but I am not going to loose my hard work at other workshops just due to one griefer. So since I don't have the resources to fight back... Maybe I should build a grief trap...

Hogwarts Legacy
Fun thing happened when I first got on. Just wandering around the castle and this portrait caught my eye. Just looked a little off like there would be a secret or like that secret one from that one quest earlier. Nothing came of it but when up to it, stared at it for a second, and the character looked right at Marcus and made a shooeing gesture then got all haughty for a second. It was hillarious.
Bit of an extended play session though still grinding through. Though made significant progress on the grinding as I pretty much have everything that I want at this time for the main things I want for this point in the game. Got the conjuration spell crafts I wanted. Got the seeds I wanted. And starting to experiment more with potions and seeds. Now my attempt to organize the timeline in my head goes like this...
Got the side quests of clearing out goblins around this one hamlet and a someone's brother got turned into an Inferii...
Ganged up on a troll with all the plants to help me get Proffessor Garlick's assignment...
Learned, lets see here, Wingardium Leviosa, Depulso.
Then off to the Map Chamber with Professor Fig and that was all that happened in the quest. ANd I wanted to follow him to the next one but professors were like 'hey you wanna learn more quests kids!'
So learned Difindo, Flipendo, and Glacius.
Anyways from here to think I am doing more of the tombs this time around then I did with Honor which is a little bit of an odd development but there we have it. Getting more of the keys. Again not really intending to complete the quest but if I do it anyways there is that. And towards the end of the play session I did confirm because I was highly confused in my potion list it lists the ingriedients...but it was not doing so for the Invisibility potion despite knowing that I had collected them. Well you have to buy and have the recipe before it will tell you what you actually have.

I'll likel ycomplete the keys quest bu tthen those robes aer my favourites in the game. I haven' tunlocked the Griffindor one yet but I likel ywill when I return t othe game as I'm thinkin gon focusing moer on my Action RPG's after I finish m ycurrent Midnight Suns run. I'm no truling out further Midnight Suns runs I'm jus tthinking on focusing moer on the action games and puttin gMidnight Suns on the bac ksea tfor a little while. Like Hogwarts ME and DAas I fell like I'll neve make prope rprogress on my playthroughs without spending more time wit hthem. Hopin ga tleas tt ocontinu ethe main story a bit and complete Deadpool's DLC today on MS but we'll see.

Getting the last one, which require completing Persona compendium, is a couple more hours of playtime in NG+ (since you have to level up Phantom Thieves again), so for now I'm switching to DLC story. Yeah, about that... I ended up going for that last achievement. Got it after couple of hours with right Persona and skipping cutscenes. Now I'll focus on DLC story! Right? At least I got some pictures of post-fusion accident Lavenza

ME1I saved Liara and went back to the Citadel to do most of the side quests there. I find it amusing that some ambient conversation aren't yet aware Fist is dead. Also, I'm pretty sure it's the first time I do the Earthborn mini-quest. It was quit short. Now I got a lots of side quests set in space to do. SWTORI'm contemplating making a new Jedi or maybe a Trooper. If I'm playing Shepard, I might as well play her in two games . I got a level 80 Trooper that needs to do Hoth. Yeah, Hoth again...it's one of my least favorite planet.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

What time is it? Decorations and details time. You just know it, time to adjust the place up with cool decorations as well store adjustments to get ready for the park tour:

SWTORI made a Lady Jedi Knight last night right before bed. Let see if she survive past Tatooine unlike the previous JK I made. I really need to stop making new characters.

Think I made some good progress today as I rescued Wanda and completed Venom's DLC and I definitely feel like I'm closing in on Act 2's end again in Midnight Suns. Stil need t ocomplete Morbius and Storm's quests but I feel I'm making good progress. Maybe even to the point where I might finish Act 2 tomorrow. Depends on how much time I spend working through the DLC's though but I'm hoping to at least do Morbius's.

SWTORMy new JK has arrived on Coruscant with T7. Now she has to hunt some thief who stole some secret files about some secret super weapon projects. Probably too many secret super weapon projects actually. The game really love super weapon projects, you encounter quite a few on all sides... MELE: ME1I didn't play this today, but I discovered that MELE has a bazillion of mods and community patches...

PC came back and the usual routine of installing games etc began. I had told the tech to install 11 but he mentioned that he could install 10 and I could upgrade as when I want to so I said ok. He ended up installing Win 11 which is turning out to be rather unfriendly for gaming.
I couldn't install Cyberlink because some invisible Admin in the PC keeps blocking me. I had unfortunately paid money for it.
MET couldn't run because Win 11 was missing d3d9 and d3d10 which I have to locate and install myself before the game will run.
Now I'm trying to launch The Invisible and the game messaged about running install script. It took about five minutes and then nothing happened although the game is registered as running in Steam
I didn't have so many problems with the laptop which was originally on Win 10 but I accidentally upgrade to 11.
If you're on Win 10, stay with it.
