Now it is, we go back to JW to add the aviary with both Dimorphodon and Pteranodon, we also turn off creature hostility and create a small animal zoo as well add a turtle to the place (apologize for the back and forth between periods and places):

Hopefully I can pick up Storm and Captain America toda ya sI near the end of Act 1 o fMidnight Suns again. Might try and continue Avengers or download one o r2 of my smalle rgames after. As I disd struggl ewit hthe Avengers game when I booted i tup last time but I'm not suer if it's because I'm out of practice or whether it's just me being bad at the game as I often struggled somewhat with all the QTE's and such in the campaign mode when I first played too. I ma yjust uninstall it again if I continue to struggle in orde rto save some space for those smaller games. I won't play them yet as I'm busy with my other RPG's.

AC Odyssey Picking up where I left off. I finished parts of the main quest in which I have Aspasia on the ship and Athens is supposed to be plague stricken. I stopped there however and went on SQs in order to find the members of the Cult of Kosmos so Athens miraculously "recovered". 🤣 I've mostly cleared the members and those that have to be found can only be done by moving the main quest forward. Killed some mercenaries including one with the nickname of Lover of Flames; he died by fire btw. Also found the last achievement can only be done by reaching Atlantis. Still a long way to go. Flames are so much fun in Odyssey, Origins not so much I cannot remember how many times I self immolated.!!!!!!

So for a bit of relaxation in the evening have been doing 30 to 60 minutes of cruising around The Carribean being a pirate in AC Black Flag. Sinking some ships but mainly for the scenery and the relaxation of the sailors singing. I'll try for some better shots, next time. Had forgotten how tough the Man O' War could be and this wasn't even a high level one. It did have some help though, but they still barely scratched the paint. I hate the climb to get the Flag. "Surrender or Die" I prefer when Kenway says "Will ye' sign on lads" but that may just be to the English Crews.

I completed my second campaign in BG3. The ending was different, accounting for my Gith'yanki protagonist. He was a lot of fun. He had the best facial expressions and animations. His character build was simple but extremely powerful (honestly overpowered).
Naturally, I've already started a third campaign. 😄 My new protagonist is Duergar Guild Merchant named Tarna Silverfist. This is my third campaign, and the first in which I'm not playing an arcane spellcaster. I'm already enjoying the different ways in which she interacts with the world. Duergar are short, so her physical interactions are also quite different, and activities such as climbing often make me smile. She's pretty adorable.
It's still early, but the group has reached level 4. Pretty soon, she will be able to turn invisible at will outside of combat. That's going to be fun and useful. Not only is it great for scouting, but in most cases it will mean entering combat only on her terms. Imagine a fight breaks out, and then you unload a crossbow bolt into a foe who had no idea you were present. That will happen more times than not.
As with my first two protagonists, I have a particular companion in mind as a probable love interest. He has to shoulder much of the "Mage business" this time around, and the increased screen time is conveniently allowing that relationship to develop believably.

The Invincible
It's an adventure game adaptation of the 1964 Polish novel of the same title.
The game begins with the prologue. A group of scientists who are on a mission of various explorations of planets. Having completed their goals, they go to hibernation while the ship begins the journey home.
Doctor Yasna, a biologist, is the protag. She finds herself alone, on a desert like planet. The last thing she remembers is the crew entering their sleeping pods.
There are no weapons, only equipment. The style of the ship and everything else is decidedly 50s to 60s. Huzzah, retro science fiction! 😛
There are mysteries to solve. Some may call it a walking simulator because you're walking around on the planet, relying on the clues picked up from the rest of the crew. It's not silent walking. Every now and then, there are stuff to discern. However, I'm a little confused with the map so I'm relying on the dialogues and memory to guide my next steps.
The graphics are good. The VAs are good. I want to 🤣 when Yasna was sitting at the conference onboard the ship and she was handed a sheaf of notes which I could flip and read. Things is, even if I could see what I was reading, I have no idea what the notes said. 🤣 I'll give it an A for realistic setting because I feel as if I'm participating in the discussion. In most games, the protags don't have sheaf of notes they can flip and read during meetings.
Anyway, it's better to listen as the topics revolved around the red planet their ship is orbiting. There is some info drop of the game world. Space travel is easy and the norm. As usual, there are factions etc, the scramble for advance technology. I'm starting to get some suspicions of how they ended up at the red planet as the dialogues went on.
There's something odd going on too. I can pick responses so I think what I picked would affect the ending. Would be interesting to see if I flunk it.

Hogwarts LegacyStarted off by the classic Hogwarts Legacy decision 'North or South' Kind of the big thing I got into the first playthrough was trying to decide where to go explore would alternate between going to the north or south. And well thus went up to the north first time. And got what I needed to get done pretty quickly to finish Professor Hecat's assignment. From there in short or did the next DADA class, Herbology, potions. Herbology classI feel its a sense of deja vu but Mandrakes kind of...just really not sure how they work yet. Especially here. So Garlick has us do the whole mandrake thing from Chamber of Secrets. And well I guess part of it to is the thing was an 'adult'...or 'more mature'. But you honestly expect me to believe that like little cotton balls can block out that sound and combined with leaving it pretty easy to hear each other talk. Sure magic...but also magic if you know what I mean.
Other people who didn't get a lot of development...Leander Prewit. Found his conversation with Marcus a bit funny abotu him insisting that he was about to clean Sebastian's clock. Also as a more general feeling...well you can also add Imelda Reyes to that list to because she shows up but its also funny just how many times you do classes with Slytherine. Granted I do think also that maybe they did it to ensure you always had the characters that needed to be there to actually do that. But yes, Sebastian is showing up everywhere. Really makes me want to play as a Slytherine next time all the more. Finally got around to doing my first 'door puzzle' of this round. And probably one of those an 'I am an idiot' things, but also pro tip. So first playthrough I went to great lengths to find the cypher paper because I was having trouble. And I was still struggling with it so I had to look it up online to confirm...but the solutions are actually on the door frame. The door frame has all the symbols on them along the arch of the door so the first symbol on the left of the door is the first symbol of the cypher 'zero' and the last one on the right is 'nine.' Other notes of the day though playing around with the transmog system and trying to find Marcus's 'look' just like Honor. I have a good idea where I want to go...but I need to get there first. And well something I wish more games did, I think Wildlands did it but Breakpoint certainly did, different preset clothing cosmetics for you to customize and choose one stop shopping. Because I like doing this...for RP...and my wife was even musing on it if she decides to play the game that she would do this to. But wearing different clothing options depending on the circumstances. Like wearing actual school appropriate/ uniforms to class. So rocked up to DADA in a uniform vest and the Burgandy robes. Also in the door puzzle area I found like embroidered formal robes which, to quote, little mis fortune, 'fancy'. Because I couldn't be arsed I didn't change out of it even as I went to trapising about the country side. And well combat is fun about this game, like very high and I was having a dope time with it...one of my favorites. Especially of the type. And of course a bit hoisted on my own patard as last combat encounter of the night ran into a goblin camp which was fine. But it had a troll in it which was not as fine. Tried getting cute with things because exploring the camp and bumped into combat with the troll...running running running ruinning away...vaulted over a low fence line. And apparently that led right back into the troll pit...so that was fun. Running running running. Dove head first into the fog. Thought I was done but then I was tackled I think by a Dugbog thingy and well pitch back at night, foggy, so I could just see shadows moving in the background. Fraked me the frick out. Oh and to make matters worse while I did not see them it gave me an alert about inferi so there were inferi there. Anyways I finally did get to safety...with zero health potions. Time to shop next time before hopefully getting where I need to get.

Must admit I've been using Iron man a lo ton this run of the game. Not that he's not fun to use but a lot of the side missions hav erequired m e t obring him a lot this time i tseems at leas tin Act 1. Stil it's been a fun playthroug hthus far though. At least I have a better deck now as I think that's what contributed to the almost embarrasing early end that I nearly had, as I wasn't gettin th ecards I needed .It would havebeen embarrassing had I failed to get through after almost beating the game on Normal.

SWTOR
Advancing Alderaan's plot. Only a head to left to deliver...and some shenigans.
I uninstalled Dishonored, I started the first mission and moved to the city and killed some guards, but I'm not feeling stealth-puzzle game right now. So I installed Mass Effect Legendary instead. Now to decide between a sniper or adapt Shepard.

Hogwarts LegacySo sale time is here again for video games and this has caused me to have a new perspective on how in depth I am going to be getting into for Marcus. Though on the flip side probably shouldn't forego the playthrough too much for other reasons. Should enjoy myself. And combat is awesome in this game...probably part 20 thousand but part 2 for purposes of recent diaries. So more random exploration took me into that giant goblin mine in the middle of nowhere which I would think was a back door into the 'Highlands' which is where I needed to be for the Field Guide Pages I needed to unlock the next collection that I want. And well powered through it mostly and first off on this note man stealth can also be super OP in this game. Just running around and petrificussing totallising like Goblins way higher then me in terms of level and just picked them out slowly but surely. And well at the end of the mine there was a boss. And got into a bit of a death loop because it loaded me right into the middle of combat without much chance to go stealth again and only really had a chance to get two hits before dying. Eventually though I hit upon the idea of stealthing, getting some distance, and deploying all three Chinese Chomping cabages. Which worked out really, really well because all three of them killed the boss which is amazing. And he had the dialogue like 'what you think I can get killed by a vegetable'. Apparently you can. . Bit of a cheesy way of doing it but I honestly do appreciate that you can do things like that in this game which if its available in other games I'm often not that good about exploiting it. But me at level 12, the boss was at level 25. Worse part though pretty sure it was all useless in the end. Since reading through the challenge list and it just meantions 'Hogsmeade' 'Hogwarts' and 'the Highlands' So I thought the Highlands was a specific region...seems its the name for the overworld...in the game. And plus I got confused on which one it is and well going to get that gear soon enough as well but also it still might be a good one to pick but I do like it. Also considering the Highlander/ Exploration cloak so its not all lost. We'll see. The cosmetics in this game certainly are a surprising aspecfct of it. Hunt for the pagesSo this game does do something kind of interesting where the Jackdaw quest gets four different ways of going about it depending on your House. Slight differences I imagine based on things but also it does make me kind of wonder.
Namely that you run into two characters in the course of the Gryfindor section of it. Feenky the House Elf and Nearly Headless Nick. Now don't remember being too interactive with them and don't even remember the Elf at all which then you get to ask her a lot of questions about the state of the kitchens and things. Including a remidner that food cannot be created out of thin air.
But then the quest pretty much went the same way as the Ravenclaw at least from a gameplay perspective. Still seeing the headless hunt was interesting since he is also headless in its entirety and yet wemeet his ghost with head reattached to shoulders. But once again had to solve a slight puzzle and hunt for him, instead of in the rookery of Hogwarts we were blasting pumpkins with basic cast he was hiding behind which we could find with Revelio.
Kind of weird because the ghosts were saying that a wand could give us an advantage over them, and sure I kind of get it, but also in that we could blast the pumpkins away to unmask him. These are ghosts, non corporeal creatures, they can go through said pumpkins. Kind of wished they did make it a little bit of a race and not just find five pumpkins but out of five. Oh well, probably couldn't have been done.

Midnight Suns
Hopefully will finish Act 1 today as I only have a couple of main stor ymissions left. Will probabl yreturn t oAvengers and figure out what I want to do there as I wantt ocontinu tha tif I can o rdownload thos esmaller games I was thinking of playing. I likel ywon't put Midnight Suns on hol dfor too lon gthough a sI do want to get back in and pla yActs 2 and 3. Likely a tmos tit'll be 2 or 3 days if I do find myself deciding to drop Avengers. But eithe rway after I'm done with Avengers I'll be bac kwith Midnight Suns and my other RPG's as they are my main focus atm.
Must admit thoug hI'm kind of tempted to get back to my Gryffindor in Hogwarts and a tleast try to get up to and pas tthe first trial though so I may do a bit o fthat if I end up getting stuck with Avengers we'll see though. Mainl ybecause I'm stil learl yin tha tgame and I don' tsee mt ob espendin gan ymoe rthqa n 5minutes at a tim ewit hhe ratm so I'm not really making meaningful progress. I could sa ythe same abou tthe F1 gam eas I've been considerin maybe throwing a couple o fraces here an dtherebut we'll see as I haven' treally played F1 23 since that came out. So yeah thinking of throwing a little of tha tmaybe into the mix. Mainly because I did the stor ymode and started a career but then kind of left it on hold and I feel like I should at least try t odo a couple of seasons on it. So yeah I'm thinking m yF1 gam em yRPG's and my smalle rgames lik eAstreigos should take priority for a while. Especially as I wa splanning on doing 1 or 2 runs o fHZD befoer Forbidden West drops.

Alan Wake IIWow, this game's longer than I thought. They definitely know how to milk the same locations in the Dark Place segments with Alan. Just with a little different spin each time. In this current flashback segment, Alan's investigating a murder in a "New York" hotel to edge ever closer to escaping. Two steps forward... one-and-a-half steps back. Hate to be the guy to have to clean that up... Later we revisit his wife's (Alice) apartment and see she's built an exhibit... After a brief visit from Scratch, we're back on Mr. Door's talk show where we finally get a hint as to who he is. Making our way out of the studio, we run into Ahti again, and a sign that will be familiar to players of the first game. Finally, we pay Thomas Zane another visit. A decidedly... less friendly one this time. But still among the most interesting FMV segments in the game.

SWTORAlmost done with Alderaan with my Scrapper Smuggler Lady. I'm actually wondering if I should finish the origin story and not bother with the rest of the storyline on the planet. I'm well above the planet level requirements so I don't technically need the XP and I'm kinda bored since it's the 3rd time in a row. So I jumped to something else while deciding if I'm skipping side quests in SWTOR on my Smuggler or not. The new something is this: I made a Kyra Shepard, a ruthless Earthborn Infiltrator. She will romance Liara, and Liara will just take on the ruthlessness later. Currently doing stuff at the Citadel, because there is a lots of stuff to do there. ME1 Legendary Edition is just so photogenic too

The PS on my PC burned out so I'm on my laptop. The tech gave the present MB another two year lifespan with diminishing performance so I'm going for an upgrade.
I also found the laptop, which I bought on a sale and is new, rather noisy. I installed AC Odyssey and while the game runs smoothly, the fans are pretty loud. I figure that's why most gamers on laptops are always using headphones. 🤨
I also installed ME3 because I wanted to play the MP over the weekend. The controls were terrible. The mouse felt as if it's floating in slow water and numerous adjustments in settings did nothing. It took me one and a half hours to figure out I have to open up the config menu and adjust the settings. I forgot an old game like ME3 has a config menu. It did the trick.

Mainly because I don' t tend to have a Ryder and a Shepard on the go a thte same time. I still have the trilogy installed I jus tdon' thav ea playthrough on th ego atm. But then I'm still trying to decide what I want my nex tShep to be .I'm thinking Adept ,Soldier or Infiltrator atm. It'll likely be one of those 3 anyway.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

Good day, we return to the wonderful JP Australia to add a second lagoon and the amphitheater in order to play with the Yutyrannos and the Dunkleostodus plus, we add more land animals like the Allosaurus (shown) to the mix:

Going to play Avengers today I think after finishing Act 1 of Midnight Suns last night and see if I can make some progress there. If I can't then I'll look into downloading som eof my smaller games an deither return t oMidnight Suns to start Act 2 or play one of my other RPG's most likely Hogwarts, DAI or MEA in this case. Will likely play some Fifa as per usual whlie I have the downloads going on though. Wheneve r I finish NFS Heat eventually I'll get bus ydownlodaing BG3. Mus tadm t I'm lookin forward t oplaying thes egames tha tI've been downloading. I ca nsee mysel fbein gin a largely RPG mode for a while. SWTORI finished the Smuggler chapter 1 storyline. Nothing like the voice of the Normandy SR1 saying the ship will disintegrate to keep up the mood. It's just amusing they got Hale to voice that tiny part on top of Satele Shan and the Trooper. And I final got to deal with the asshole who stole my ship! I'm also technically rich, but not in the in-game bank account. Booo. update ME1Kyra is a SPECTER now. She also took off from the citadel and the first thing she killed was...a Tresher Maw. After, I died twice because they are buffed in Legendary and I didn't remember the Mako keybinds . And I just knew the beasty was there once I saw the name of the planet. I think I know the content of this game by heart. Which is probably a feat considering the building repetition... I rarely play renegade. I did one once in a speed run who skipped content aiming for the suicide mission in ME2. I'm doing a full PT right now. Well trying, I'm not sure I can be that much of an intimidating asshole...

BG3
My Durge Suri Mena is doing the last quests in the city before endgame. She has dealt with her past and helped her companions as best as she could. Her partner Astarion and she had some celebration, since they both managed to free themselves from some serious dark crap.
She just did the House of Hope heist, which is so much fun. Not only do I like poor little Hope a lot, but the interactions there are great, you find a lot of lore stuff and then Raphael sings his own theme song . Next on the list will be the underwater prison and the Steelwatch factory, dealing with Gortash, visiting poor Ansur and being even madder at the Emperor afterwards and then endgame. I plan on freeing Orpheus, but he will have to be our local mindflayer. I'm still a bit mad, that we can't ask Omeluum to take over that role, if he is saved. I also made a scratched origin character: Helia, the werewolf halfling bard. She was supposed to be a good aligned companion and origin, but got scratched very early in development sadly. I like that concept so much, that I made her as one of my next player characters, despite the fact, my first playthrough was a halfling bard - but halflings are cool and bards are cool - so no problem there. I used the Dark Urge background with her, since it mechanically works similar to a good aligned werewolf, if you are resisting the urges.
I don't know, how Helia looks, there is a concept art floating around, but it is unclear, if it is supposed to be Helia and if yes, if it was her first incarnation, since she was supposed to be the grove leader before Halsin came along (that concept art is a halfling woman with druid gear). There are voicelines however and those sounded a bit younger, so I made her a younger female halfling. I used a modded face and hair, to give her the unique look of the other companions (pcs share their faces with common npcs):
Paralell to my now two Durges, Suri and Helia, I play a 'normal' Tav, a gith mage, named Liral. SHe has done quite a bit already and accidently started a romance with Karlach - I think, it fits, so I just went with it. Lirals headcanon is, that she is a githzerai, pretending to be githyanki, to avoid drama with Lae'zel, our favourite githyanki fighter. She lives in Faerun for a while now, studying different cultures and magic. She was snatched by the nautiloid outside of Baldurs Gate on her way to a famous library.
So far, she saved everyone possible, like Arabella, the boy with the harpies, she went to the Underdark and even befriended an illithid scientist named Omeluum, despite her peoples hate for illithids. He gave her some insight about the nature of the tadpoles. She also helped the local myconid colony against some pretty vicious duergar and saved a deep gnome artificer from poison.
She also found out, that Kagha was dealing with shadow druids and exposed her and saved a girl from a hag.
The group is now in the goblin camp, dealing with the leaders there.
This picture, when the wetlands are changing into the creepy swamp, is nice :

Hogwarts Legacy So to other problems with the combat being so good in this game in the specific way its good. 1. Its easy to get over confident, just beat up a level 20 troll and cheesed him, so this gang of random goblins should be easy...not so much. And 2. Well also hard to leave things alone when you know you can defeat it. Especially when you think you need to get through an area of bad guys to get to where you want to go...which you then discover you can't quite get to anyways. I forgot how grindy this game was when it comes to its economy in the beginning. Granted a broom would cost a lot of money its about the same as a car...but then the issue is that some of the potions and recipes also cost about the same as the broom. So need to get a lot of grinding in for Marcus to get everything he did. Sell stuff to get him up...and then its gone very quickly. Rinse, wash, repeat, lots of exploring, crappy inventory system. In the Shadow of the UndercroftA very small quest but an interesting one that really feels like it gets the plot going.
First of all we got Confringo which its a bit of an odd spell all things considered in terms of how the game is portraying it. As a banned spell...which is weird because its not like its a Unforgivable or anything and does not seem more powerful then Incendio in terms of horribleness. But there might be clues in the name later.
Second development we got another introduction to Ominis at least directly. WE've seen him around and we've shared classes but this is the first time we have met him and talked about him and to him directly. And well always fun trying to come up with characters for role playing and then come up with another character for role playing and then finding ways to make another character to play different but also logically different. Like I do this thing where I play my characters fairly opposite of one another but I don't just automatically do different things. In that spirit though I decided that Marcus would tell Ominis that Seb showed us the Undercroft. It makes absolutley no sense to lie to him given things would be, or should be, much worse for us if we didn't. Like there is no way we could've just stumbled upon it so Seb would've had to have told us and well that kind of what I think should be an obvious lie would just put us off on a bad start with Ominis. However I am pretty sure I chose different options the second time from Honor and had Marcus push back. Ominis still pointed out that we did just technically betray Seb but he got a little flustered and gave it up. Speaking of differences between characters though I find it rather hilarious and in fitting for the basic outline for Marcus's character that he is getting this whole flamboyant super hero persona going on out in the wild. Again combining Gryfindor and Slytherine values. Ambitious but also brave. Hmm do wonder how I will play that third character...if I get there. But got him in a Stylish Fedora. The Legendary Armor which is black leather and even metal bits, and 'solar protection glasses'...sun glasses in other words. So he looks very much like the SIlver Shroud from Fallout 4 fame and I am just so tickled by this development of him just going through the outback saving cabbages, righting wrongs, but always getting his cut (well usually) like some hard nosed private dick. On the flip side though I have put a couple of points into the Dark Arts for the first time in this playthrough and reading through the options, some of it sounds really OP.
