I've started replaying Witcher 3! The next gen update is AMAZING!!! This was made for me, ray tracing and ultra wide support and much improved textures. It looks SO good maxed out with upscaled 5K resolution. Playing W3 now actually makes my RTX 4090 weep a bit. In White Orchard everything was fine at 75-90fps native. Now in Velen it drops below 60 at times for whatever reason. So I enabled frame generation to hit 100fps, problem solved! Photo mode I had to fix, CDPR never bothered. They actually forgot to add the photo mode code to the key bindings file, very odd. It's an easy fix though and I can't stop taking pictures of this game. Man, the weather effects are still a thing of haunting beauty. I'll never forget the first time a storm hit in 2015, still takes my breath away. Now it's 2024 and I can't think of a game that comes close to being this immersive with the weather effects to this day. And ray tracing makes it all even better. Because I have a shit memory, I have forgotten almost everything but the crudest plot points. All sidequest except the Bloody Baron I completely forgot. It's like playing a new game almost, I'm surprised and devastated by how quests end all over again, lol. It's so interesting replaying right after Cybperpunk. VERY different games. I was so in love with Cyberpunk's writing I was wondering if it's actually the better game, but now that I'm replaying W3 I have to admit the sidequests are much better in W3. The world is just so amazing. Night City is impressive but it's so ugly. I could wander the Witcher world forever. So yeah, Witcher 3 is still special to me (and I adore the books too) and to this day maybe the closest thing to a perfect open world (action) RPG, maybe sharing that title with RDR2. Both W3 and Cyberpunk are 10/10 games for me. I'm having so much fun replaying, I'm glad I waited for the perfect moment. They did a wonderful job making it look almost like a new release. Character models look a bit outdated, so does water. But overall this game is looking better than ever and is a complete joy to replay. I'm one of those few people who absolutely loved the simple but fluid combat. I'm older now, so my reflexes aren't as good anymore, that's why I probably play on default difficulty again. Back in the day I almost immediately replayed on a higher difficulty but then never did. Oh, and I missed Gwent SO SO MUCH. I almost cried when the first match started. I was obsessed with it. I have the physical card game too. Taking a moment to remember how to play thoug, been a while. Sorry for the wall of text. Here are more pictures of how good this game can look now vanilla: That stuff can compete with modded Skyrim. Just beautiful! Yeah, I still HATE drowners. I even died the first time because it took a moment to get back into the dodge groove... Don't know if ray tracing does much for outdoors but this is like a painting! The mood in this game, unmatched! Sunsets are breathtaking... Storms are still my absolute favorite! Yeah, I had to click photo mode about 30 times to catch the lightning, haha. Epic picture of the griffin fight! Ghouls are disgusting as ever... Ignore the fugly gloves... Indoors with ray tracing is a HUGE improvement. If I want this good in Skyrim I have to get a really good ENB and lighting mod.

CK3 The game must have read my mind because through a sucessful of three Queens, all the heirs are daughters despite the succession law for male heirs. Well none of them dropped any sons. Two daughters for Urraca. The eldest is a bastard, also named Urraca and hence, disinherited. Her heir is Eslonza who surprisingly, without any input from me, had a warm and loving relationship with her half sister who for some reason, despite being married, did not have children although she's capable of bearing. Eslonza also followed her mother's footsteps, fell for the charms of a so called foreign prince and had a daughter, named Urraca, outside of marriage. This daughter is disinherited from succession. Thereafter, she has a daughter, Eva. When Eva was in her late 20s, another so called foreign prince arrived in court. Eslonza immediately booted him out after Eva admitted that they had become lovers and thereafter secretly had him killed. Fortunately, there were no kids from this liaison. Both Eslonza and her half sister died of old age. Eva inherited the throne though not before Eslonza founded the Hispanic Empire. Eva became known as Empress Eva, the Hammer. She married at age 34 and had a daughter, named Eslonza. Eva is now 40 years old. No sign that she's going to have more kids. I have to say Empress Eva is the most beautiful of the three Queens. Her mother and great grandmother were brunettes. Her aunt, Urraca, though was as fair as she.

Magnificent, magnificent as we start adding animals to the place like the Spino and Doe alongside Buck. Don't forget the Stegosaurus and others as we move forward:

Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
Made it off of the Peragus Mining Facility and am currently on the Ebon Hawk Kreia has been telling the Exile what had been going on in the galaxy since the Exile left Republic space 10 years ago after the Mandalorian Wars. Found HK-47 on board and in bad shape. Installed his vocabulator. I noticed some things different as I play as a female. One, Atton is very flirty with the female Exile. Two, Darth Sion's introduction was different with him having unique dialogue. Three, I died three times I don't know if it was just my bad luck, but in the areas I died in I never died there as a male Exile. She is a Sentinel since skills are important for dialogue in KOTOR II. Her prestige class will be Jedi Weaponmaster. While I was going through Peragus my mind kept on going back to the Mass Effect games. I will play them after I am done with KOTOR II.

^ Your post reminds me I still need to play and finish both KotOR games I got relatively far in the first one, but never actually finished it...dunno why Anyway, I've been playing some more Mass Effect Andromeda, along with replaying the visual novel Error143 (it's relatively short, so I'm able to finish it in a few hours tops) I also saw that A Date with Death is going to get new dlc soon, so I put that on my wish list on Steam, because I need more time with Grim! He's adorable Oh and been scoping out a few other visual novels as well, but might see if I can do their demos first (provided they have one that is) before actually committing to buying them at some point or another

SWTORI finished Voss on my Jedi Knight lady Sentinel I started back in December. One planet left, Corellia, to finish her core game story. Then expansion content, if I ever get there. She's also level 74.5 which annoys me, I wanted her to reach 75 so I could give her a tactical. Oh well next time. HZDAloy won the Proving, learned some stuff about her past and was anointed Seeker to find the truth and fix things. She found the Nora War-Chief and made it to the "last" village of the Nora's land. I'm not sure if I'm going to do all the side quest, that means not everyone will show up for the ending thought...

So no Starfield while I wait for MOD updates due to a Starfield Patch so picked up MEA PT which was parked at Elaaden with the Vault done, did a few missions trying to remember key bindings and not instinctively hit Starfield keys. But just wasn't in the mood as I was so looking to play my new start of Starfield and RL just pissing me off. So stopped, going to read a book.

She's also level 74.5 which annoys me, I wanted her to reach 75 so I could give her a tactical. Oh well next time. I've played a bit of this game as a Jedi Knight, Sith Warrior, and Sith Inquisitor and have never completed their questlines. My Sith Warrior was the best he was a Pure Sith and was pretty reasonable when it came to being a Sith. He was not some homicidal maniac. He showed mercy where it was due, but cutdown anyone who broke their word or try to instigate a fight. Like that dick who was Darth Baras' contact in the mission where I had to kill a Sith governor, one of the ways was by killing the governor's son and wife. But my Sith did not do that instead he worked out a deal with the wife and son and killed the remorseless Sith Governor. So he still did Darth Baras' bidding and gained two influential allies in the wife and son. My Sith was a Sith with honor. if he had been born in Republic space he would have been a Jedi.

Saints RowThis game does have an element of grind to it. At least in the way of how real life tends to work where you work and grind and make more money until it hopefully starts spit balling and just growing. Of course I haven't quite figured that part out yet myself. But just getting ventures going and clearing out threats...which then leads to more money. Up to like 180 K per hour. Again would be nice IRL. Next main story mission was kind of interesting though. Got around to the train job finally which actually had some shades of Medal of Honor of all things. Pretty nice action set piece since I was with the Nahuali charging down the train. Close quarters battle charging down and then going around from place to place with the occasional signature attack. Kind of gave it a James Bond err actually just one man army performing a lot of gun foo along the way. I do kind of like the venture system to. As I said above there is also a significant amount of grind in this game, in addition to all its other problems, but it does actually make sense because I realized the money and venture loop is a way of gaining more actual power as a criminal organization which also explains why you have the power to go after the police in force so that was nice. It does build more and more. But it also could be a little too much. And all the ventures seem to have their own interesting twists and also their interesting effects on gameplay. So the next venture is a radio station for the Saints (which you can't listen to) but the guy gives you a way of jamming cell trans mitters for all of the bad guys being able to call in for reinforcements. So you call them, the guy traces the call, and then you have to go around placing jammers on them. All 20 of them. Its a nice gameplay loop...but twenty? I guess that is about 5 per org...nope still not. But as I did discover during finishing the one for the Eurekabator, the test center for the Saints, that the last objective is just going back to talk to said people. Though as I did also discover the grind is helped out significantly that the ventures that cost a lot of money, also seem to give you a huge increase to your income. Other big development that Sergio, the leader of Los Panteros, was Killed during the train robbery by the Nahuali. Not that much of an issue but its an interesting plot development because it seems like we're going to be going after maybe the other big organizations in the game...maybe even the police? Taking out their leadership, taking over, but the game assues me that there is a reason Los Panteros will still be roaming the map causing the occasional problem. Plague Tale: RequiemSo when they mentioned the 'Bite' I was figuring that they meant werewolves somehow. Never really occured to me that they meant rats. Lots of rats. Like the Scarabs in Uncharted amount of rats. That you can even get rid of in fire the same way. But it was still effectively creepy watching a full river of them just washing towards me and having to work around them and if you got caught that was also horrifying. They also provided a more environmental and puzzle like challenge then the humans...this was a welcome change of pace. Which also didn't last long when we got both humans and raths in the same area which provided issues. Got through them a lot easier this time though and went around and still took out who I could. After getting all that done fortunatley it did play relatively straight as once we found the Magister we just got him back home. He started doign things to Hugo that Amicia did not approve of but mom sent us to go see where night shade was so we could help his seizures. Alas though the plague, and the rats, are spreading.

Your post reminds me I still need to play and finish both KotOR games I got relatively far in the first one, but never actually finished it...dunno why Okay cool I'll try to keep my posts spoiler free. Nah that's quite alright, I already spoiled myself on both games

I also saw that A Date with Death is going to get new dlc soon, so I put that on my wish list on Steam, because I need more time with Grim! He's adorable Oh? Time to wishlist as well. I need more ways to tease him

I need more ways to tease him They're adding two new endings and 3 more additional days (so now there'll be 10 days in total instead of 7) I need him to call me Sunshine again, it's so cute (also I need to get my snark back on, I'm happy he responds so well to being snarky)
They haven't given an official release date yet, but I'm looking forward to it all the same

Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
Made it to Telos one of the first planets the Sith destroyed during the Jedi Civil War. Was taken into custody once the crew got off of the Ebon Hawk in regards to the destruction of the Peragus mining facility. Once I was cleared we were set free and told that a Republic ship was on the way to pick us up in a few days. Went to get my ship back and T3-M4. Along the way I helped a Sullastan who was being threatened by two Czerka thugs. Found out both my ship and droid had been stolen. Got my weapons and gear back. Told Lt. Grenn about this and hit pretty much told me "shit happens" but not with those words. Now I will go to the Ithorian embassy and help Moza with his problems with Czerka.

Saints Row
Next up for the story mission front. Quite quickly moving through the organizations here and the next for the chopping block happens to be the Idols. SOmehow despite me doing most of the skun work and bad arse stuff on the train the Nuhali got all the credit for the success of the mission so the idea was to do something noteworthy to establish the Saint's Street Cred. Stealing back the Hummingbird Codex from the Idols whose original theft is largely what caused the Saints to form in the first place. Eventually this led to us assaulting the latest close quarter combat situation aboard the private Yacht headquarters of the Idols. Followed was more run and gunning, more signature take downs, and even used the ability that lets me shoot walls. Which is nice but a bit finnicky because somethings its hard to get the right shot lined up through the..deck plating and what not. But as long as it helps even the scales a little bit.
Now that the Saints are on the map. I feel a bit weird about this...but we have criminal groupies it seems. It might actually make a certain perverse sense. But speech...way too much speech...also sounded awfully idolly.
Next venture set up, now up to I think 700 K...or 270K...yeah that sounds right. But either way the next one is a more destrcutive version of Shady Oaks. The Big One. The Saints demonstrating a whole lot of weapons in order to sell weapons for an international arms trade. This to me makes at least a fair bit of sense...since the Saints are looking for that kind of firepower in the first place and well as a money making scheme as well, and as a way of setting up for our show down with the police. All of this is fairly legitimate...
What was a little odd and over the top in a fashion very typical for this game just running around with a rapid fire RPG with unlimited ammo trying to blow up as much property as possible. I would think this would be a lot easier then it should be but it still took me four times...and much like with the insurance fraud the novelty kind of wears thin after awhile. Like blowing up a bunch of cars and infrastructure think you'd get to three million dollars fairly quickly...but I guess when it also counts thinks like mailboxes well it can take awhile. I think it did take pitty on you and made your target area more dense as you went along though so that was nice, if my theory holds true. Either that or I just got lucky on the last run and really bit into it with a full gnashing of chompers.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

Ah, animals like the Dimetrodon (pictured), Gigantoraptor, Diplodocus and such are great animals to have here in this tropical setting. What else will be in the park?

Been playing a lot of Witcher 3. Game's almost more amazing upon replaying. It was ahead of its time. Here's a screenshot dump through my adventure so far: Geralt arrived in Velen and got himself the necessary papers in a messy way. Even though I managed to clear the battlefield of ghouls, and let me tell you, with a broken silver sword that's no small feat! Took me 5 tries to not get the quest to fail. Only to learn that the brother died anyway without me noticing and so I didn't get a pass. So then I had to rat out the Scoiatael who attacked the caravan to get the pass from the other dude. (The lighting is SO good here!) Found the creepy burned village where the Wild Hunt came through. Before heading to the Bloody Baron, Geralt took a scenic tour through Velen. Took pictures I found pretty: Yeah, i'm REALLY digging the farmhouses, lol... This picture here feels like straight out of Skyrim in the fields around Whiterun: OK, this is less pretty and more a case of great lighting... I love nights as much as daytime. Geralt went to see Keira Metz... Here cabin is totally awesome by itself to me but where Geralt found her bathing was lovely... After the whole ordeal with retracing Ciri's footsteps she also helped Geralt deal with the haunted tower on Fyke Isle. The faint indoor lighting here is impressive, thank you, ray tracing! Came back a bit later to do the Forefather's Eve ritual with the pellar. Geralt decided to finally go visit the baron: After a few rounds of Gwent - damn, that blacksmith lady crushed me a few times - he actually got there and was told about how Ciri ended up with him. (Btw, Ciri's outfit and Geralt's default armor are still maybe the sexiest shit I've ever seen in a game, lol.) The whole crazy storyline with the baron's daughter turned botchling unfolded and it's every bit as amazing as I remembered. The storm, the whole insane situation, loved it! Followed ghost baby around a bit, decided to take more farmhouse pictures, yes, I have a problem... Then I went into the bog to meet the crones (who still have the best monster character design ever!) But first Geralt enjoyed the scenery a bit again... Then he found the creepy orphanage. Found Johnny, killed the possessed tree and returned to be told what Ciri's been up to. Now I'm on my way back to tell the baron about all this crazy shit and his wife. Here are a bunch of combat pictures I thought looked cool... (I still love the nekkers, they're kinda cute.) (Burning wolves is cruel but the most effective method...)
