DD2
Ugh, just learned more about Dragon's Plague that can infect a pawn and in turn kill the people of a village / town which can also take out quest NPCs. It has not happened yet but I'll be examining every hired pawn and my own main pawn carefully.
There are tell tale signs, from the eyes to the pawns' responses to commands and their remarks. I did hear such remarks from one or two pawns but I didn't pay much attention because I was not aware of how bad the DP can be. I thought it would just affect pawns. I've a habit to cycle out pawns once they're three levels below the MC though I delay it for an archer because she was pretty good.
So now I have to be vigilant when shopping for pawns. Sheesh.

I'd like to answer some of the stuff you mentioned, but I'll put them in spoiler, so if you don't want the answer, you don't have to see it They changed days available for certain social links, as well as later on you get something similar to Chihaya's readings from P5 - during evening as well - so you don't "waste" as many days trying to fill missing points till next Social Link rank up event. I had only one non-maxed social link by the end of my playthrough and that's with me mismanaging first few in game months. They do appear in Tartarus as well, as one of destructible objects. Elizabeth gives you some. Aaaaaand *redacted* give them to you as reward <- I'll let you discover this one

Ghost Recon Wildlands
I think we are really get into a good groove and doing a lot more of the things I've been wanting to do and getting really ghost like.
Hmm actually before any of that though we did finish off Villa Verde and got to extracting La Gringa back to the rebels. Pretty sure I mentioned this before but La Gringa getting shot but then us not finding anyone in the room with her is kinda sus as hell. Though we did have some fun blowing up El Wey's labs and ealing with it.
Off to Caimanes and one of the regions I have been 'dreading' but we are firmly getting into the end game as even wifey noticed how much of the Cartel we have cleared out. I do wonder how muhc of this is our skills advancing in game and reaching some sort of critical mass or just trying to actually do ghost like things, after all we have gotten enough of a head start now on things where we don't need to go and get a lot of the extra side stuff anymore, just a lot of missions. SOme things I still want to level but think we are getting there. Which does dictate our operational tempo.
And despite Caimanes being something I don't remember too fondly, mostly because of the last mission I guess, there is actually a lot of neat locations in it from both this and Fallen Ghost fame which I had mostly forgotten about until we got to it. Running around stealing boats and blowing up subs.
First little set piece essentially was the only one where we did anything concentrated. The cool as hell looking bridge over the one Bolivian river which we have to infiltrate. Despite my best intentions and knowledge I usually end up turning this into a ground war when I am playing by myself and sweeping through the base, but this time was actually able to turn it into a sniper's paradise. I was actually able to work up on the nearest bridge pylon and took out the guard at the top. This did get me alerted on the rest of them somehow, maybe I did miss a shot, but otherwise the mortar across from me though wasn't able to hit me though as his rounds just kept on falling straight down to the bottom, other then the one which took out the one behind me. Wifey got him and I worked on sniping the people below, managed to clear out most of the base before we hunted.
From there though just a lot of rapid succession stuff. And I think it was in Caimanes but I also landed a shot against a sniper at 365 meters with suppressor on and my sniping was hugely on point last night when we called for it. But just in rapid order she ordered mortar strikes on the other two subs so we didn't have to fight the majority of the base. And the boat theft we swam up there, killed like the two direct guards, then stole the boat right out from under them. Now that is Ghost Recon.
NHL 22
So I don't like Darcy Keumper really. and playing the Rangers which beat me last season as well and well it was Keumper though so I was confident. Maybe a bit too confident. New York managed to get out to a 2-0 lead going into the third period despite me getting some good offensive production. Only bright side is they were like 0-2 on the PP. Cue wild third period as I started on the PP and Marchand buried a breakway for his 39th of the season towards Keumper's right. Next shift Pastranak had an amazing shift as he just got loose on a breakway, shot a backhand, missed, shot again, missed, and then got loose again with the puck behind the net and this time buried it for like his 54th at this point to tie it at 2. Next notable event though I was very concerned because I had my 4th line out against their 1st line, a big disadvantage. Yet it worked as Fredric collected the puck in the corner, skated on net, turned and fired it right in to make it 3-2. And then things fell apart off the ladder. For the third consecutive game got another five minute major with five minutes left in the game and a tossed player. They scored at least three goals on me to make it 5-3. Two games in a row, two losses for Ulmark. Swayman is beginning to look more like the game 1 starter for this year.
Next game and perhaps got back to playing Bruins pro level Hockey, at least for much of the game. Like against the Rangers played only a good 15 minutes, today I played a good like 45, only one bad sequence, as I ended up winning 11-3. Point night in Boston. Pastranak got his 55th. Think it was Coyle who had a long range backhander going. Only thing that annoyed is Crosby got two goals very shortly against one another and made it maybe a little interesting. I do like finishing things though and thought to msyelf 'hmm Zacha hasn't scored in awhile' And with these things seemingly being reverse day also since I was like 'oh god its Jary' when I saw he was in goal and put eleven goals up. But in the last minute-minute in the game Zacha picked up three points, 2 goals to bring him to 52 and 1 assist on a Krecji goal. And it was also neat too the goal of the game was he just checked a Penguin to the ice in front of him which opened it up for him to score.

DD2 There's 220 Seeker tokens scattered around the game world. I gave up after watching the 40th seeker token location on YT and went to look for a mod. I was sure someone would have made one to locate the finder token. The mod turned out to do much more. Now I can get as many ferry stones as I want and a few more port crystals. I finished all five riddles and the Sphinx flew away. There's another five more if her second abode can be found. I decided to open more of the map than go after the last five riddles.

DD2 I max out the fighter vocation and decided to switch to archer. Boy do I miss the super bows of Horizon and the smooth and easy way of aiming and shooting. It's a little more awkward in DD2. Additionally, sometimes the MC will kind of auto fire. I'll be shooting at a wolf and the next, the MC's kneeling and shooting at something because it's as though the game took over and I don't know what I'm shooting at. Once I switched over to archer, I dismiss the pawn archer (dressed in a cloak and underwear. I didn't have a choice because the Riftstone I got her from was limited and she was the best choice of all that appeared) and hired a warrior; a big guy and equipped appropriately with armour and weapon. I've seen pawns with normal bodies and small heads or male warriors dressed in skimpy costumes. Besides my mage, I got a sorcerer (skimpily clad like the archer) and she's one for casting big spells because she would rain fiery stones and roaring hurricane that play havoc with the MC's hp when he's the fighter. I let her remain because those spells combined with the mage's spells warp the mini bosses' hp pretty fast but I'll be replacing her soon. Found the elves' home and understood not a single word. The elvish subtitles look suspiciously like Sindarin but they could be gibberish for all I understand of Sindarin. I look it up and apparently, I have to gift one of the Elf NPC flowers for three days. After that, a book to understand Elvish will be presented.

Nearing the end of Banishers. Id prob rate it around a 5 or 6 out of 10 at this point. Had a great concept and setting but ultimately some sketchy writing and UNGODLY amount of backtracking really hurt the overall experience. Also the fact that pretty much everybody you come across is an unlikable moron really didn't help either lol.

Another day, another go at it as now we do have the Cold Suit completed and we move to the next step which is exploring this place, except we might have jumped to resolve quite a few things in the process like curing (again) the Kharaa bacteria to prevent Alterra from using it ever again:

GW2My little Asura Necro only has the last mission to kill Zaithan to do! In a totally not planned turns of event (I really didn't plan this), his Tyria personal story went full circle. His early days krewe was the krewe that helped out in the mission leading to Source of Orr. I'm keeping Zaithan for tomorrow I think. And then to decide if I jump to Hot or do the living seasons episodes... I also need to finish Dragon's Dogma 2 and put more time into Horizon Forbidden West. DD2 I max out the fighter vocation and decided to switch to archer. Boy do I miss the super bows of Horizon and the smooth and easy way of aiming and shooting. It's a little more awkward in DD2. Additionally, sometimes the MC will kind of auto fire. I'm always in manual aiming as an archer in the game (same button as manual blocking on fighter, might need to buy at the vocation trainer, I don't remember). There is even a skill where you can choose to control the arrow directly (but it suck a bit since it doesn't turn that fast).

The speed was sluggish until I adjust mouse controls. Oh I know the control arrow trajectory. Not going to train up that one with the bow awkward as it is. I really miss the Horizon bows. The sharpshot bow has a beautiful long range and I want that but I don't think such bows are in DD2.

DD2 So I opened up the map best as I could but I doubt I found everything. What's left is Battahl so I thought I'll just pop over there. The guard at the gate demanded a pass. I don't have one. By the by, I did a search and found putting on the cat mask could get the MC through. No joy. Guard; Sure, you're a cat but I still need that pass. Did further search. One says to hop on the official carriage from the Border town that goes to Battahl every morning. Another says a cave leads to Battahl. Ok, I port over to the Border town and ran out to the road. The first thing I saw was the official carriage. Huzaah! Going my way! I went in but didn't sit down. The advice was not to sit but stand. It took a few minutes for the carriage to ramble up to the gate. All the while, the driver was angry and saying stuff; Get off you scoundrel! I ignore it. Meanwhile he picked up another passenger. image She's actually one of the Border town NPCs who wanders around but somehow or other, decided to get on the carriage that day. 🤣 I got on the other side but stayed on until the gate was out of sight, as per the advice. Still, the warrior Pawn picked up a NPC who went for him. I think it's one of the Battahl guards. I ran further down the road and ordered the Pawns to come to me. They did and the NPC followed as well so I decided to get rid of him. Killed him, then revived him which scored an achievement then we scooted off. The mods are a lot more difficult. The goblin type are jumpers and hit rather hard. The harpies poisoned. The wolves are the same but different name but they all like to gang up on the party. At one point, I thought the party was a goner because two of the Pawns were down; the warrior and the sorcerer. I couldn't get to them because the damn goblins, harpies and wolves were all jumping on the MC and pushing him off every time he tried to revive the two. Luckily, the main pawn was nimble feet and stayed clear at moments to land heals. My MC is now a Mystic Spearhand. I dropped the archer because I find I wasn't landing the shots fast enough when it's a big group of mobs. I took a risk and went after a couple of wolves and dang goblin very persistent in whacking the MC when trying to revive. That eased the pressure and I managed to get the two up. After that, the sorcerer cast the maelstrom spell and the rest went whirling into the air.

NHL 22
After a couple of weird games back to some high octane Bruins hockey...
Trying to get in and decide who is going to be my game 1 starter since I am like...well now just one game from the playoffs starting for this particular season. Thing is since they have both been sucking lately their numbers are now mutually close enough to make it a bit of a hard choice.
And ironically Linus Ulmark may've gotten a leg up in this particular two game round as he only gave up 1 goal on like 19 shots or something in the 9-1 victory. Bergeron got the scoring started with like his 45th goal of the season on a neat little goal. And yeah from there just really snowballed from there, Pastranak picked up his 59th of the season. And Trent Fredric got a hat trick on the game to get himself to thirty goals. Two snap shots in the low slot and then the final one was just this really weak backhander which managed to get through. Oh this was also against the Hurricanes which just beat the Bruins IRL 3-1 and handed me that 7-1 thumping the other day so this was quite the cathertatic experience.
Next game against the Panthers and this time it was Swayman's turn and had a really bad start as they managed to outskate my first line horribly to get 3 high dnager shots in on net, all of which Swayman saved so good start for him before I was able to get a shot in on their goalie. Marchand started the scoring off with his 45th of the season. Then things got weird as they scored on the next two shots then early in the second as well on like two more shots later, so theee goals in 9 shots for the Panthers down 3-1. Not happy. Took me about half the period to right the ship as Krecji added his 41st of the season to make it 3-2, then Seguin made it 3-3 on his tenth, with a backhander, then Krecji again made it 4-3 before the end of the second. Things got wild as we added 5 goals in the second period a lot of them from line number 2. Krecji completed the hatty on his 43rd. Zacha got a goal, his 53rd, and an assist to get to 101 points, Foligno picked up his twenty first, and Pastranak got another backhand for his second consecutive season of 60 goals which fun fact since Auston Mathews did it IRL I now know if this was IRL Pasta would be the only active player with two 60 goals seasons. As for Swayman he finished kind of OK giving up just three goals on 22 shots as they did try and rally towards the end but again I would say maybe Ulmark has the slight advantage.

Wrapped up Banishers last night. Sadly I can't give it a shining review. The premise seems like it has so much potential, being ghost hunters and doing almost Witcher like investigations in an old world setting. But the overall plot is a pretty big let down that really leaves no surprises or intrigue along the way. All the side quests are very basic formula of "Oh somebody died, investigate and then decide who is to blame etc. The rest of the side content is just the usual map markers, chests, enemy camps etc. And GOOD LORD are all the characters you meet insufferable, it's like England was like ya you can take all these folks and create a new colony...please...pretty please we don't want them here lol. I think there was only 1 or 2 characters that I thought were alright.
The combat was pretty fun though, when you weren't fighting the camera. It's zoomed in a bit too much I think. You get some pretty cool abilities to use during combat and there are many timing based parries and attacks that do bonus damage. Also the ability to swap back and forth between the 2 main characters is quite cool, and they each have their own unique style. You get a pretty cool AOE attack with the ghost that you can speck to have a larger zone and it gets bonuses the more enemies it hits etc. Skill wise you have the usually ability tree that unlocks as you go. Though the cool thing about this one is you can swap out the skills whenever you want out in the world, at no cost. Just pop up the menu, and unselect one and pick another, that simple. Which is great since you can find different gear with perks and abilities that synergize very well.
So overall that game had a bunch of potential. But the amount of back tracking required to get the full experience, for a lackluster story and cast of characters just doesn't make it worth it. I think steam has me clocked at around 22 hours, and the majority of that time was back tracking. That said though, I do hope to see them do more with the universe and IP. Just slim it down and get some better writers in the mix and I could see great things.

GW2And Zaithan is dead again, probably the 10th time I write this in here. I haven't decided yet if I was skipping the story ahead or not. Dragon's Dogma 2I'm not sure I'm going to finish this. Exploration and combat was a lot of fun, but the story is rather meh (main quests are more info dump than anything else) and I basically just have the story left.

The story of the first wasn't that great either so it's not surprising the main story of the second hasn't improved any. I think the draw of Dragon's Dogma is not the MC nor the main story but rather the combat, the Pawns, the hidden stuff the devs put away in the game world, the ways to get around obstacles and other surprising stuff.

DD2 I learned that there are ways to get around obstacles. A mage can use the ice spell to build a bridge to get to higher places. An ogre can be toppled to form the link of a broken bridge. A harpy can be grabbed on and directed to fly to the ledge that you can't reach. Grab any NPC who can fight or Pawn and carry them with you if there's a battle in a minute because once you drop them, they'll join the fight. I used the lunge skill of the Mystic Spearhand to get onto a higher ledge and dropped a ladder down for the Pawns. I also use it to whack Harpies out of the air. Currently opening up Battahl. I'm more methodical here and discovered quite a number of caves and ore nodes. I also ran into a hard fight; two armoured ogres and their little pals. The MC is level 40 which is why I chose to engage. Died a couple of times. As one ogre went down, a griffin crashed the party. This, I didn't need but I continued. The warrior pawn went down so I quickly got him up. It was a complete mess because it's very hard to see what where the MC was because the two mini bosses were so big. The griffin's wings also obscured half the screen. Then there was all that fire, lightning, healing and maelstrom spells sparking off. Eventually though, the second ogre went down then the griffin. Phew. I went around to loot but couldn't find the first ogre. He died in the vicinity but I didn't see his body. I went round and round. image Then I realised the flattened mess between the second ogre and the griffin is likely the trampled remains of the first orgre because that mess wasn't there when the fight started. Too, I could see large bones sticking out. I don't think I got any loot out of it.

Dragon's Dogma 2I'm not sure I'm going to finish this. Exploration and combat was a lot of fun, but the story is rather meh (main quests are more info dump than anything else) and I basically just have the story left. Not surprising. The first game had more interesting main missions. In this one, most of them are just going to A to talk to someone or pick up something. A lots of side quests are more involved than the main quests.

NHL 22
Wrapping up the regular season with a think 7-2 win over the Buffalo Sabers as the Bruins finished up the season with just 3 losses. Pastranak got goal number 61 on the season and picked up an assist for 96 total points...122 goals through the first two seasons of this franchise, pretty impressive. Oh it was actually so hillarious I am starting to more deliberatley figure out one timers actually, don't know if I am getting the hang of it but ripped one off on game two that I actually intended...but had an opprotunity for Pasta but the puck bounced off the boards and whiffed on it. Zacha I believe finished with the Art Ross leading 102 points. Going to be interesting to see of course how the awards shake out for the season and I am curious to see how the modern game handles all the developments of the last few years of Hockey. I mean chrickey the game is just two years old but already the game has changed so much it seems in IRL as someone else was commenting since we have three people with 130 points this season in reality, wheras in this game Zacha is the one to win the Art Ross with just 102. Again wonder how much that is reflected. And Swaymen actually finished pretty strong.
So long winded rant because don't really remember much else of that game and the first game of the playoffs as I have a series against the New York Islanders...where I traded Orlov to. And 13-2. Game got off on the right start as well as I managed to get like 2 goals in the opening 2 minutes. Marchand had a deflection goal off the bat where it bounced into the net as sort of one of those baseball moves. Pasta got an assist. Then he got a goal of his own off a breakway and goal right into the right hand part of the net...what would become a bit of a theme. I would end up putting a 7 spot on them in the first periord and then 2 and then 4 for the rest of the night. Also 5/5 on the PP. Coyle had a hatrick. Pasta had a 5 point night (2 goals, 3 assists), Debrusk had two goals, Marchand had 2 goals, Seguin had two points (goal, assist) Wortherspoon had a assist so all my trade aquisitions were doing well this year. Shattenkirk who barely had anything going in the season had a goal on a breakway, backhander, right into the net. Krecji imitated his move from the other day on a Pasta shot and buried the rebound. Think this was the beantown slaughter. Course also my next game was on back to back days so I hope I didn't burn through my offensive efforts too much.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

Ok fine, I gathered my courage and then decided to head straight down this hole as the need for diamonds is big, but then this type of vine trap caught me good. This place is more and more surprising everytime I find a new biome and some are more wonderful than others. I then star on the hunt for parts of the Parallel Processing Unit (PPU) and it is a doze what I discover on the Mercury II:

And found out there used to be a cat named Sir Pouncealot, but I missed it, because they changed it's name in recent patch and I've only reached this area after it. Dunno why they changed it, but I wish I didn't miss it. Would have loved to snatch a couple screenshots of it from my game. Soooo... plot twist! They did change the name for that random cat, only to give it to the cat from current - cat petting focused - event. And we get to keep him! He's going to be permanent resident of my Serenitea Pot (our in-game home we can decorate), just like ninja doggo from a while back.
