I feel bad ripping on Sara all the time but the way they crafted her face combined with the lousy animations, its just too big a target. 29 is a baby in the business world or academic world...No one takes a 29 year all that seriously.

29 year old in the military has been in typically for over 10 years at that point...and if they were in a combat role for that 10 years?

I won't say it "makes a man out of ya" but it sure does age people considerably, and that 10 year difference of experience between you and a fresh faced 18 year old recruit makes all the difference in the world in that field.

Honestly if someone is 29 and they're not in a senior position or at least close to a senior position, then they really weren't trying or weren't at all qualified. (Which is fine btw. Rank =/= how good of a person you are)

That's regular military too. She's second in command of a civilian venture so its a far more smaller hierarchy for her to climb.

When I was in the Marines there was a Corporal in my unit whose nickname was Old Man [last name].

He was maybe 32, or something like that.

Hardly old, but he seemed it to other Corporals and below, most of whom were closer to 22 or younger.

Army promoted people a little too fast I think, and I never bothered to learn about Navy or Air Force way of doing things.

The Air Force was quite a bit slower than the Army.

The average time it took to get to E-5 was close to 7 years, and it slowed down drastically from there.
