This section is meant for spoilers, so I searched in here. Also, I Googled everywhere for this and couldn't find anything. There is apparently a third option of neither So I decided to save the Angaran in the final decision, however, the Angaran were still not saved and the facility was still not destroyed. I'm not sure what I did wrong? Does anyone know? Did I shoot the Cardinal too early or something? I didn't see the scene where the Angaran escape, and they also mentioned they are still trapped in the facility. I guess I'm going to have to redo the fight because I got the worst of the three.

There should have been an option for the cardinal to release the people when it came to save or destroy the facility. The shooting her comes after that decision.

They said in-game you can't free everyone, just as many as time permitted.

It seems that no matter what you do, the Angara that helped you can only free so many before they have to escape. That's how the mission ends if you save them.

The biggest influence this seems to have is on Jaal's loyalty but you can turn that round later with other decisions. Destroy makes the Moshae happy but not Jaal.

I thought so too until i listened to angaran banter. If you destroy the base the Kett lose any reason to hold back and start killing Angara en masse. The best I got for saving the Angara was that the facility can be reactivated later. I assume that means theyre too busy to slaughter Angara? Short term thinking anyway it could have bigger consequences down the line.

I'm pretty sure it's impossible to kill all the kett enemies until the shuttle arrives. Pretty sure it's "survive until help arrives" thing

I wont care what that vengeful old lady thinks. She clearly is not thinking straight and is mad at the Archon for treating her like a pet. Jaal already explained, the Resistant's scholars, scientists, agents and soldiers are all in the base and blowing that base will deal a significant blow to the resistant. Besides, dont tell me the Katt has only 1 of such facility.

Additional question about this mission. Is Moshae supposed to be biotic? Jaal/Cora banter lead me to believe biotics are largely unknown to Angara, but Moshae creates a purple barrier both times she appears in combat situation.

I admit that scene was reminding me of the ME2 suicide mission part. Nice little homage there!

So if it was not a biotic shield, then what was it, and for what purpose did Moshae strained herself to put it up?

So if it was not a biotic shield, then what was it, and for what purpose did Moshae strained herself to put it up? It would be like an energy shield using her bioelectric abilities I'd assume. And since Angara are taught to channel it, she exerted herself.

Jaal stopped talking to me but he changed back after the final decision I made at the end of his loyalty mission.

Blew it up, thought the explosion was going to be cooler though.
