Voeld Weather Bug (Xbox One) - When I first arrived on Voeld, my life support meter depletes excessively fast (notably faster than it did the first time I hit this same part of the game). Now, here's where it gets really strange. After I've driven down the mountain, and encounter a larger kett camp on the lake that has a heat lamp, when I use the heat lamp to replenish, my Life Support bar totally dissapears even when I go back out into the "cold" away from the lamp. It stays that way... that is, I can walk all the way to Hjara then to Techlix, and I even infiltrated the kett base without having to worry about the cold. The only place it seems to be in effect is up top near the beginning at the Angaran Resistance Base (which stays a Level 2 Hazard). It stays this way, through multiple saves and reloads and even after leaving the planet a couple of times, right up until, get this, until I reset the vault... Then, rather than warming, the whole planet gets cold... more the normal rate of cold than I had when I first came to the planet. Still, I have a my Life Support meter depleting all the time I am away from the heat lamps. I'm pretty sure this is the reverse of what should happen (i.e. toggle/flag must be backwards now). I have no idea how I'm going to get through the Architect fight.

Yep, I just experienced the same thing on PC. Weather was either lvl 2 hazard or safe zone until I reset the vault. Then everywhere (that I went so far) was level 1 hazard. It is totally borked. Mind, having safe zone in most places was nice regardless (and not just because SAM wasn't talking all the time!).
Inside the vault was still lvl 2 hazard though, same as before, until vault reset.
Haven't made it out to Architect country yet to see what the temps are like there. Should be fun!

Someone else said it took them an hour as they weren't playing NG+

I've had that happen pre - 1.08. Usually the culprit is some enemy offscreen that you can't see, which makes NPCs non-interactable. In my last game I left and came back but then she was gone.
Same thing with the scientist studying the yevara. When I went inside the cave, all enemies outside the cave were dead, yet she wouldn't talk to me. I went back outside to discover respawned enemies. Once they were gone, then she was active.
This is why "combat mode" is stupid unless you are actually in a firefight.
99% of my problems with quests are guys that disappeared from the fight only to reappear later partially melded into a structure. It's always one baddie somewhere. That's where infiltrator helps a lot, because you can find those dang enemies inside the walls. I'm always determined to get them one way or another.

So here is a question: I started a new game, trying to play a more military minded Scott Ryder. When I first met the three Nexus scientists before going to Eos (when they are still in the Nexus Operation Center, not in their lab at the docking bay), they offered me to start those tasks (hitting rocks for science and the one with the plants). I figured, doing some role playing, that my Ryder would initially refuse as there wer more important issues at hand. I expected the tasks to end up in my journal anyway or at least to be able to pick them up later. When you refuse, both guys say that it's not that urgent and imply that I could get back to it later (which was my intention). After this, I could no longer talk to them in the operations center (there was no interaction symbol anymore on them). However, now I am done with Eos and the scientists have relocated to their normal tech lab at the docks, I still can't talk to them and from what I've seen, I'll never be able to take up the tasks again. Now don't get me wrong, I am not super eager to do the filler quests, but I think it is weird that after that one chance to get them, you seem to be completely locked out of those quests. It's especially weird, given that the character imply something different. So, did I miss something? Is there a way to still pick up the tasks somehow? Or am I locked out of getting a 100% playthrough done yet again? I wonder if this is because you can (must?) click on their logs that give you the quests, that are sitting on a counter, when you first meet the scientists. Maybe if you don't click on those logs, then there is no way to accept the quests...too bad it's like that...takes away true decision making and the ability to change your mind later.

So, just to follow up here. I've been to Havarl in the mean time and found one of the plants that need collecting for the Cultivation quest. It turns out, you can still scan and collect the plants, which will start the quests. Haven't stumbled upon a rock yet but I guess it's the same with those. Once you scan the first one, the quest may just start on its own. So it's all good I guess.

Select the rewards box at the top of the screen, then from there, you should be able to go back to the normal screens ... play a match, when you go back to the strike team screen, it will work again. Not optimum, but you don't have to use Alt-F4 or C-A-D to get away from it. Thanks, I'll try that out. EDIT: @grinch : Worked perfectly. Thanks! EA HQ: Resolved.

If I can tell where they are from their attacks, I usually just shockwave them to death. I had to develop that talent for that reason alone. It was a great suggestion from dazx and themikefest. It's a fix, but it does kill immersion.

It may be that you can still access all their research papers on the terminal and start the quests that way.

No such luck... meter disappeared when I got out of the Nomad at Hjara and hasn't yet reappeared, except when I go back to the first/main Resistance Base. I suspect, it'll be the same when I reset the vault; that is, the meter will reappear then (indicating that resetting the vault is making the planet colder, not warmer). Is there anyway to trigger the fight with the architect before resetting the vault? My other option is to drop the difficulty down for that single battle... but I'm not too keen on doing that.

I don't think so. You don't get the architect quest until setting up the outpost, and you can't place the outpost until the vault is reset.
Maybe the patch coming out tomorrow will fix it (for realsies this time).

She's still there. I've decided to ignore her since either response doesn't improve matters any.

I remember I had to do the Architect fight pretty much entirely from inside the building. I don't know what patch it was but it was quite a while ago. I guess since I was sniping I had the range so it wasn't really an issue. It hadn't occurred to me that it might be a bug!

I must've been extremely lucky in only coming across a few hilarious bugs that didn't impede progress in any way. Maybe the game is just more stable on the GloriousPCMasterRace...

I've gone through four playthroughs clearing the flophouse, normal, hardcore, insanity NG+, and now insanity from scratch. Every time, the security console counter is stuck at 2/3. It never goes to 3/3 and unlocks the door. When the fight is over, I can cycle through the consoles and it always stays at 2 out of 3.

Hey does anyone know if "Angry Woman" from the habitation or Ops area was removed? I don't remember seeing her in my current post 1.08 PT. So wanted to get the option to do a Shepard v Khalisah al-Jilani on her!!!!! I have seen her since 1.08.

Started a new game + on the new patch on PS4. Still conversation bugs (missing replies and cut off conversation.) No real biggies. Not on Voeld yet. So can't comment on temperature bug. Hope they fixed the saves so I don't have to go to Application saved data management to clear the older saves. They seemed to have changed the Tempests entry again. Got rid of most of Ryders grin when the ship shows up.

Hope they fixed the saves so I don't have to go to Application saved data management to clear the older saves. They seemed to have changed the Tempests entry again. Got rid of most of Ryders grin when the ship shows up. Yesterday, on my third test run through Voeld and still before doing the vault reset, the temperature suddenly started behaving "normally." That is, my Level 1 hazards came back and it was as how I remembered it on my first time through Voeld. Not sure what is triggering this, but I think it may have something to do with my going back and forth in my files saves and the weather toggle not tripping correctly. Perhaps it's similar to whatever was causing the double-images of Ryder when people would restart their games to create a new Ryder. The weather "returned" right after I completed the "Subjugation" task quest. Level 1 Hazard depletion of the Life Support bar is now reasonable... not hyper-fast either. I'm off to do a reset of the vault and set up the outpost in that file now and we'll see what happens with the weather after that... and most importantly whether the life support depletion during the architect fight goes back to being halfway reasonable.
