My game crashes everytime in combat moments. It's literally unplayable. My platform is the PS4 and I have a physical copy. I've tried everything: deleting the game and reinstalling it, deleting the saves... I'm starting to believe the problem may be in the disc, but it isn't damaged at all. Can someone help me, please? Otherwise I'll have to give up and stop playing. I don't play on the PS4, but just some thoughts... How full is your HD generally? Does the PS4 have a procedure for clearing your cache? Is it a new or used disk? Maybe try exchanging it if you can before you give up. Lots of people here have been playing on PS4's and are not having such an issue. My HD has almost 180 GB of free space, I don't think this is what's causing it. About the cache, I really don't know, I'll have to look into that. The disk is used. I could ask the former owner to try exchanging it (he's a friend of mine), but the stores gives 3 months for exchanging the product. And I'm from Brazil, it's unlikely I'll get any official support from EA here. It could be just a coincidence, but this issue started shortly after I installed the latest update (1.10). It was abput the same time I started doing quests in Kadara. So I really don't know. Could be the disk, could be the update... Like you said, not many people are having issues on the PS4. Anyway, thanks for the tips. I'll keep trying before giving up.

Every time I play through there seems to be a new and persistent bug. VERY frustrating!

i.imgur.com/RccRhUb.pngSPACE LAZORZ ! visual bug when firing certain beam weapons and entering or exiting cover. Leaving the area crashes the game so it might be something to do with the beam animation/weapon rate of fire and memory? some things i've found to help mitigate the infinite beam bug (SP) -Save and load game before leaving vicinity of beams=surefire no crash. (obviously won't work on priority missions or in MP) -Crafting a weapon with the Beam Emitter mod in conjuction with auto, single or burst fire systems=no bug. (except with zalkin) -Have two unique weapons with beam mod in inventory? (superstition, haven't been able to verify) -Don't equip cool laser weapons none of these are really fixes, it used to happen exclusively with the P.A.W then after i crafted a beam Zalkin it switched to exclusivley only glitching on the Zalkin. makes for some cool impromptu dance parties though.

Have done two runs without subtitles in SP ... that seems to fix a lot of the volume issues with dialog ...
In some cases with subtitles on, off camera voices are too quiet, in other cases SAM or Ryder speak, but we hear none of the words, only see the subtitles ...
With subtitles off, the off camera voices are lower, but you can hear them ... more importantly, understand them, plus both Ryder and Sam dialog plays as it is supposed to.
It doesn't fix the "sound bug" (all sound cuts out until the game is rebooted), which is mostly a MP issue, but on rare occasion hits SP too.
Getting rid of subtitles might even improve some of the facial animations just a bit ... nothing's perfect, but some of the goofier stuff that didn't get fixed seems to be a little less goofy. Foster Addison still walks like a dork ... probably nothing will ever be found to fix that (lighten up Foster, that's a joke).

I must've been one of the lucky few who came across next to no bugs.

Noticed moments on Eos, when the squad would react to nearby hostiles, they'll remain that way indefinitely, no matter how far away you travel, and the game will continue to say you're still in combat. This makes it impossible to interact with NPCs.

This makes it impossible to interact with NPCs. I got that occasionally, but if you use the Infiltrator profile and look through a sniper scope at the geometry around you, you can usually spot an enemy stuck in the terrain. If your sniper rifle has a piercing receiver, you can shoot through such cover and take care of them.

Something I just came across in my current playthrough (on PC, using a controller).
The APEX rewards were full, so I pushed the button to retrieve all of them. I got a message saying my inventory was overfull, and I would need to get rid of some items. The message wanted me to press A (on the controller) to acknowledge it, so I did - multiple times - but it remained frozen in place. I tried a lot of other keypresses to no avail - I was stuck on that screen, with that message. So I finally alt-tabbed out of the game, killed it, and restarted.
After restart, the goodies from running all of those APEX missions (research, materials, items) were of course gone from the server, but did not get added to my inventory.
I guess the lesson here is not to use the button to claim all APEX rewards at once, at least not if it will overfill Ryder's inventory.

Though I did always make sure to purge the junk.

I heavily modify Fallout (NV, 3 and 4) and Elder Scrolls (Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim). In fact, when I originally had Oblivion on console, I was pissed that I couldn't mod it and ended up buying it again on PC.

I remember when Oblivion came out I bought it day one on the 360. I was one of the first to find a game breaking bug in one of the Daedric shrine quests. It was the one where you get a sword and bring it back to the shrine. Doing so would crash the game. This was back when you called in to report bugs. They had yet to hear of it but it was patched quickly. While they did fix a lot of bugs officially the “unofficial” patch is a must have.

I guess the lesson here is not to use the button to claim all APEX rewards at once, at least not if it will overfill Ryder's inventory. I had that … it takes a ridiculously long time, but eventually it will process the 200 items and the frozen screen will go live again.
I'm guessing it is a clunky multi-step process that doesn't reveal itself when you have only 20 or so items … but go much beyond that and the wait increases. By the time you get to 200 items, it makes it seem like the game has locked up. I think of it as a long running script that will eventually play out. The processing of the 200 items doesn't begin until you acknowledge getting rid of some items … then you wait … a looooooong time.
After that experience, I've always dumped the contents into one of my Ryder's inventory once I got up to 20 - 50 items, sold off all the weapons and armor, then I was back to my default 30 items in SP Ryder inventory and my APEX/Strike Team loot is back to zero. I don't know where the break point is, where the wait becomes excessive … but at least up to 50 items, it processes fairly quickly. So you don't need to claim the rewards immediately, just periodically, before it gets to 200. OBTW, I'm on PC, with M+KB.

Good to know, thanks. I tend to let the stock of goodies from APEX missions pile up. I'm always thinking ahead, and believe it helps get a new file/character off to a good start when I start out with a lot of APEX goodies to claim.

Same for me. I claim my loot boxes on the Nexus in the first opportunity of a new play through, then at each of the weapon and armor upgrade break points. So for a new Ryder, level 6 and level 11 … after that, I hold off until 21, 31, 41, 51, but at 60, I use my research to build the weapons and armor I want and start saving up my APEX/Strike team loot for the next SP run. I've not done an NG+, so most of my Ryders top out at VIII weapons and armor, with my first two Ryders with IX weapons and armor (I was less efficient/competent with my first two runs).
At this point, I'm done with SP … 14 runs, one of each Ryder for all 7 character classes … so now, I just dump the loot into one of the 4 remaining Ryders that don't have enough research points to make X weapons and armor. No DLC, so I'll never actually make that stuff … it's just a method of directing where I dump the loot.

I came across a bug I never encountered but it’s likely cause it’s a mission I never encountered before. Strange Beacon on Voeld. I was about to die from the cold and had to fast travel. It broke the mission.

It broke the mission. Don't think I ever found this one though I'm not sure. I've done every mission on Voeld (very recently) and all that's left is the Vault. Maybe I should check my completed missions to find out for sure.

Can anyone help with 2 issues I've been having with the graphics? The shadows are weird no matter what setting I have them on, there is a lot of banding on distant objects even on Ultra, also I can be travelling on Elaaden and big shadows will be covering the distant landscape but rapidly disappear when I move the camera. Similarly when Shadows are set to Ultra or High spiky shadows appear on close terrain as I move the camera, and during the landing sequence on Eos.
Then an even more annoying thing happens when traversing the open world, the floor textures start turning into very obvious squares with lots of seams, and the longer I keep going the worse it gets until eventually I start also getting big black shadows and/or very glass like, reflective looks to them. When I stop moving it's still there. But if I save and reload they're gone until I start travelling again, eventually it starts reoccurring
I can fix the spiky shadows by turning them to Medium, but that makes the weird blanket like distant shadows fade in/out even worse. As for the terrain, it seems less noticeable when I turned textures, terrain and meshes to Low, didn't fix it but it didn't seem as bad. However I can't see what setting is causing the actually problem.
I have a GTX 1080, i7 8700k, 16BG of RAM at 2666mhz, the same is on a Samsung SSD, power supply is 1050w.

Uploading pics of the terrain issue I had this manifest sometimes, not always, on latest playthrough. I suspected updated nvidia drivers as I updated them before starting the new PT.
