So one of my guilty pleasures after finishing a game is to see how/if the consequences for decisions would be different. I'm also a completionist, so I basically completed everything prior to the main plot climax, feeling like I'd basically discovered everything there was to discover. So today I pulled up one of those websites that lists out the different decisions and consequences and this is what it listed for finding all the memory triggers in Ryder Family Secrets: "Affects Sibling Dialog. Ryder recalls Alec’s memory. Figures out Scourge"
...Figures out Scourge? I never remember discovering anything about the scourge through this quest. Yeah, we figure out (some) information about the Scourge, but it happens in a totally different context. Did I miss something?

I think the "Figures out Scourge" refers to the attacking scene during the endgame space battle. Ryder remembers the "if you can't fight it use it" line which was used in the mom 'dying' scene. Cora mentioned it too at the end of her loyalty mission. It was something Alec used to say. I guess if someone skips the family secrets quest the line changes to a "hey look, the remnant ships are attracting the scourge, let's use it!".

I didn't finish the family secrets until post game, so this was the result for me. |
