Let them carry you on Gold until Bioware decides to ban them.

I ran into a game where we had no cooldowns recently. Was quite a lot more enjoyable not having to wait 5 hours for my powers to recharge actually. But yeah I always expect people to cheat in mass effect, was rampant last time too.

Why do I never run into them?

I've only encountered like 2 or 3 hacked games so far.

I ran into a new one today. Weapon and power damage was boosted to crazy levels. Annihilation Field was killing regular units by itself on gold, guns were killing it 3-5 hits. It was crazy.

I have encountered three of these missions, so far. They make gold seem easier than bronze.

In one of them, one of the players idled all seven waves (and did not extract, but also did not die - though in part that was maybe my fault for clearing out that area - I suppose I should have sat back and watched instead).

I imagine eventually they will have enough monitoring and consistence checking to remove all doubt about players causing this, but getting there may not be easy (and hitting paying and legit customers because some hacker used them for cover probably would be a bad move).

(Also, I imagine they have a good chunk of regular issues to fix, and a good number of people working for them who do not really understand the inner details of how these things work - so it's not easy.)


What makes you think that this has not been happening already?

(I have seen plenty of players with Vanquisher X and an apex rating below 2000, for example.)
