Hi there pathfinders,
this game needs a lot more awesome looking cinematics an cutscenes, but no dialogs!, fight scenes, driving Nomand, flying Tempest, running, jumping, firing weapons, explosions, using powers and skills, tech, biotic, etc and there can be shoices to make during those scenes, even ME1 has more cutscnees and cinmatics than A,

I'm inclined to call shenanigans on the idea that ME1 had more cutscenes in it. There's a lot of back and forth dialogue, since basically just about every NPC has it, but actual cinematic scenes throughout the game? I don't think there's nearly as much as you might think compared to this.

Given the quality of the cutscenes in MEA i think we could have had less and got a better game.

Given the quality of the cutscenes in MEA i think we could have had less and got a better game. Save for some quirks, I don't see what's so bad. But then, this is just comparing to the MET, which really focuses its awesomeness in a select few cutscenes a piece, namely the suicide mission initial assault and ME3's various set pieces, namely Kalros vs. Destroyer and the Fleets Arrival, though the latter got torn apart for apparently being lore breaking.

I have to agree. I played the SWTOR expansions lately and the dialogue / cutscenes in those 2 latest expansions are extensive and high quality (characters are doing things all the time, moving around, being active.. not standing in one spot for five minutes). They really nailed the dialogue cinematics in SWTOR's expansions (not the base game though... in base game dialogue is like MEA, just standing in one spot for 5-10 minutes flapping their mouth).
Most of the cutscenes in MEA are inert.. characters stand in one spot and talk, barely ever moving anything other than their head... in SWTOR characters talk while moving about a room - moving to other rooms, interacting with the environment, gesticulating etc - it looks / feels natural.. that sort of thing is very rare in MEA's cutscenes.

ME1 had very few cutscenes. I could probably list them all if I think really hard. Here we have soooo many more. Many of them are crew related but there are others that pop up when on the planets. ME1 only had the bare essentials. In fact, I went right through the trilogy over a matter of six months because I had just started video gaming back in 2012 to take my mind off being sick and stuck at home. ME1 was so small by comparison to ME2 and ME3. I could race through it in hours if I didn't explore and just did main story stuff. I dont think I could skip through those scenes eeither back then. I remember them being short. They were mostly on essential story related things. The opening. Meeting Ash. The Prothean artifact. David anderson talking to you. Landings at citadel. Landings at all the locations. Then the very brief ones around the start of main location encounters like seeing the geth move around or that creature on feros. The scenes with Saren - there was the matriarch one, the one on where you first land at the start of the game (name fails me)... I mean there was a stack of them, but they were extremely short. ME3 was the one with the most and longest ones. People compared it to a movie/game experience. This one has cut them down from what they were in ME3 for sure. But there are still enough of them. I would say more than ME1 (and some longer) but less than ME3 by miles. Which I think is perfect.

The standard shot-reverse-shot thing is pretty much a thing throughout the entire franchise, likely due to cost, but they don't always just stand there either, so this is a teensy bit of an exaggeration. They don't move from room to room, but they don't really have to do that for the scene to be convincing. Characters do gesture and change position.

I don't think you want a video game, friend. What you are interested in is an interactive movie. I have a recommendation that may tickle your fancy:

Spoilers ahead skip this post. I said skip. Spoilers. Morda vs Strux? A single asari commando and a normal human biotic absorbing fire from a kett cruiser and its compliment and redirecting that fire with precision back onto the attacking ships? Using a barrier of all things. Movie night. Salarians crash tackling the pathfinder. Dracks loyalty mission bug. Addisons face. Archons cute little face. The drinking game cutscene in Kadara if you get the barmaids questions right. (I love the mixing of drinks and the questions) I don't want to pick it apart because its not a terrible game. But some of that stuff just killed it for me.

But some of that stuff just killed it for me. Morda vs Strux is definitely the worst, and unintentionally hilarious, but at least it's short. The thing that bugs me more is the HARUMPH Morda does if you try to interact with her lol. I thought the salarian crash tackling Ryder was pretty amusing though. Like, the weakest race of them all doing this made it an obvious gag. As for Addison's face, at least that's fixed….for the most part. Lol, the Archon's face is kind of…something. The Primus looks 10x meaner.
