Hi,
I have a question about using this. During my current playthrough, ME2 keeps crashing during LotSB. It's happened at two distinctly different spots. I'm late enough into the game that I have no desire to start over. I basically want to finish up and port my Shepard into ME3. Here's what is unfinished for me. I didn't finish one Firewalker mission, I didn't do Grunt and Mordin loyalty missions, I haven't completed LotSB because of the crashes and I didn't do Arrival. Is there a way to set flags in the ME2 editor to say this is complete? I realize I could do the other missions except LotSB but I still don't know how to say that this mission has been completed. The flags for a loyal Grunt and Mordin are easy enough, as are the ones to say everyone survived. But I can't figure out how to say a DLC has been completed. Anyone have that info?

I'm not sure as I've never used gibbed to tweak flags, but you might want to edit your ME3 imported save instead. The earliest save happens right after you see the beginning of the prologue, no need to watch the whole movie. Exit the game once you see the autosaving circle and edit the autosave with me3 gibbed save editor.

Where is LotSB crashing? I know that some of the DLCs, in my case it's LotSB and Kasumi, will crash going from the final mission back to the Normandy. If that's what's happening to you, set your ME2 to launch with the option of -nomoviestartup . This thread has some info that's helpful if you're on Origin. Works quite well on Steam.

All that said, your issue may be something else since you mentioned 2 spots where it crashes. However, if both involve when a loading movie might be firing up, this could still be the solution.

when I started a new game of ME2 and went down to Freedoms Progress. (I gibbed it before i left the station) The section with the flying turrets before you go down and confront the mech, one of the turrets became utterly indestructible/unreachable) meaning i couldn't progress. Just goes to show Gibbed doesn't solve everything I suppose.

If you use any modded textures or other edits, like coalesced, DLC auto save files become corrupted. The auto-save file should be deleted before replaying the area. So hop out of the game, delete your auto-save file and load up before. Also check to make sure ALL of your pcc files have bytes in them. Some DLCs become corrupt from Origin in downloading and load no data. A second download is required.

I had to disable Dynamic shadows and the Environment shadows as well as changing the screen mode to window mode just to keep it from crashing not only for LOTSB but all the quests that took place on Illium.

I have heard of the Dynamic shadows bug I think that stinks. I really wish BW had not been swallowed by the EA bug so we could mod our games properly.

Thanks for all your input. I did some tweaking to "finish" the game with Gibbed and then alter variables for importing into ME3. It didn't quite work out how I wanted since I didn't get Kelly Chambers (but I do have the engineers) and couldn't make peace between the geth and the quarians, despite setting the flags. However, I also installed EGM so it may have ignored things. Might go replay that character in ME2 and see if I can get past LotSB using what has been mentioned here.

You also might want to try reinstalling ME2. A member on Nexus reported an issue with an ME3 DLC and we found out one of his PCC files had 0 bytes in it. Origin had not downloaded the full fire. Open up your ME2 cooked pcc and sort by size and if there are any empty pcc files , that is the problem.
