The Sims thread.

I own the Sims 2 collection on origin (only because of my gf).. I played about 3 hours five months ago.

Does that count?

Uh sorry but no not really. 

I really like Sims 1, when things were absurdily simple...
I enjoyed a lot Sims2.
Sims3... not so much.
Sims4 is worth it?

If you're still enjoying S2, Sims4 might not be worth it.

I've got all the expansions they've put out since the game launched in 2014, and while I enjoy the flexibility of its buildmode, the character creator, and the recent addition of several NPCs, there are still things missing that I think should already have been added.  Like say a supernatural, magic or fantasy expansion, with vampires and werewolves, a Pets expansion, another place for your sims to vacation, and even weather and seasons. It's always sunny and warm in Sims4.

That said, I do have a lot of fun with it, there are frequent sales on the base game and expansions, and even with almost twice as much CC in my game than I had in Sims2, Sims4 loads in only a fraction of the time.

I play Sims 3, have most of the expansions but none of the stuff packs, and found some nice Dragon Age cc for it, too It's nice to finally have a computer capable of running huge custom worlds. I tend to play them rather than EA worlds.

I have no plans to play Sims 4, because I find the lack of open world unacceptable.

Okay, I got sick of the Sims because of Sims 4...

Plaaaaaaaayed lots of TS3. Pets was my absolute favorite!! I loved designing doggies and cats for my sims lol TS4 was a massive downgrade imo and I've never gotten fully into it. It's a slog to get through. I hate all the stupid loading screens... walking around town, or even to someone's house, is a major chore now. I do like the CC for TS4 though... no, not crazy about the more cartoon-y design, but the ability to play with the face and body are great, and the hairstyles are nice (finally, longer hair for guys), and also, finally, you can put a hat on ANY HAIR lol

I have all the sims 3 stuff, I love that game so much. Sims 4 seems very, very barebones, including the $50 expansions which is why though I own them all (edit: except the most recent one), I only buy them at 50% off or more.

I haven't played much of the sims 4, I have a few things because when it first came out I was hopeful.. but.. yeah, disappointing. the only good thing about it is the sims not blocking each other. that in sims 3 would make TS3 perfection. Racked in so many hours in the sims 3, used to host plot building competitions on the old forums with store items as rewards as I didn't mind spending a few extra dollars for others to get cool stuff too.
