Not finished the game yet - 100 hours in (yeah, doing every side quest lol), and liking it more and more the further I get into it.
To me it brings to mind ME1 - setting the scene and the groundwork for a series I hope.
I like it that they've tried something new.
Yeah, I concede there are many areas for improvement, but I'd like to see more constructive feedback and less game bashing.
I've played the ME trilogy games through several times each, and confess I doubt there's as much replayability with MEA, but hope I'm wrong.
Anyway, just wanted to redress the balance a bit and say "I like MEA and glad they tried something new".

I like it to. Not as much as the trilogy but I still like it. I suspect though as they clean it up more with patches and they start rolling out the DLC it will grow on me the way DAI did.

I'm enjoying it, too. Do I think it's some Holy Grail of ground-breaking perfection? Nope. But then, I know there's never going to be any such thing anywhere. So I'm just playing a new game with a new setting but familiar background and (to me) likeable characters. And having fun doing it.

Apart from a rocky start and some side quests, I thoroughly had a great time playing it and look forward to future DLC and sequels.
If the things people on here are complaining about don't bother you, then keep on playing and enjoy. We're all self-absorbed assholes who think our opinions are worth being written down and read by the masses. Try to form and hold an opinion and don't let others get to you too much.

I'm also enjoying MEA singleplayer. So far the opening 10-20 hours already significantly better than ME2 (but then again I'm already biased against that game) and also better than ME3. I like the lighter tone, the theme of wonder and exploration and the "greenness" of Ryder.
The main thing bothering me right now is performance - fps drops in dialogue, random stuttering and stuff like that. That and having to make an ahk script for toggling walk with a suitable UI overlay - no idea why they couldn't have walk as a toggle rather than hold down.
But the characters/story/combat are good, and the voice acting is solid enough that I'm not bothered by the facial animations. Even the music is passable, though not as memorable as the Trilogy.

I was expecting a "Come at me bro!" statement in the OP. Mildly disappointed.
I agree it kinda feels like ME1 in many respects, though it lacks the excellent soundtrack by Jack Wall and Sam Hulick.

yeah its good,all it needs is a little quarian influence haha
Also multiplayer is soo addictive and the asari are great impo I'm just rolling out the asari at the min with the salarean architeck that is also awesomeness!!!
