So, I gather you can play with the character you finished the game with again. But is it going to be the same quest sequence and all dialogues re-trigger, and can you re-customize your protagonist (gender, looks?) and pick different choices? I don't have much stuff, but Nomad upgrades are nifty, and I have a bunch of pods unlocked? Will the game scale to my level?

AVP doesnt carry over. All your items do and yes it also means your quest items. You can change your Ryder completely like you are making a new ryder. Enemies scale and that is the worst part as your equipment doesn't level beyond level 80 but enemies continue to and start taking a longer and longer to die. You feel that you are regressing instead of growing.

Never did it before. It should be worth it for not re-leveling the Nomad. And, it would be cool to start trying out different profiles. :)

One thing to keep in mind which is really a level bug and not a NG+ bug is that from level 60-70 you can't pick up weapons, weapon mods, or armor since the level VIII stuff just doesn't appear or drop in game. So if you don't have things in inventory that you might want when you get to that range try to get them before then, or at least don't sell off all your stuff. Granted, still possible to go through that section with level VII stuff, but it is sort of annoying if you had sold off all the mods for a weapon class (like I did). Otherwise I guess NG+ is sort of interesting for testing various super-Ryder builds, but I don't find it quite as fun since your 3 power map limit makes it seem like half the points you are drowning in are just for unlocking higher tier profiles.

Oh, I can always drop difficulty down. Mainly, I just don't want to reupgrade Nomad and it's good to have a back up build that used to work. And it kind of sounds awesome to have lots of different powers on the same guy. I only got as far as level 4 and 5 stuff anyway and never really crafted anything. I started a new game, and it gave me an option to start the NG+, and i could create a new set of twins, and the main Ryder looks like he has all the powarzzz. I immideatly made the dumbest build possible that probably will make the kett falling over laughing, heh. Going to try him over the long weekend, to see if i can cope. Thanks everyone for answering the questions!

How high was your level before you starting feeling this effect? It makes logical sense, but it's not something I've observed. Honestly, a bit more challenge wouldn't be unwelcome.

103 atm, it is interesting to watch a Fully leveled dhan on maxed out soldier going from one shotting a basic red hp mook to taking two shots. Same with assault rifles had to go for bio converter cause fights were taking more ammo than before and i was running out on my assault rifles, same with architects they were a lot harder after 90+ than they were before.
Powers became worthless as enemies now needed multiple detonations to die, consumables were always worthless but not in front of the hp bloat the ammo consumables do not help at all. Sniping only the Isharay sniper could hope to get you a single shot kill to a mook's head rest started needing a lot more, oh also the Lanat but that has a annoying charge mechanic. Observers need 4-5 shots to die with a sniper. Same with grenades again on a maxed out soldier with kett armor for a 49% damage boost to combat powers and 40% boost to weapon damage. Mooks now survive a nade, before i could expect a nade to wipe out the basic mooks in their radius.
There is no other way to amp up my weapon damage consistently so only option left was using bio converters to maintain firing. Besides beyond 80+ there is no progression, putting points in biotics or tech is not effecting me one bit and i hate the 3 skill slots with burning passion. You want a vi and a turret well guess what they need to be in your active ability slots, if not when you switch your favourites they disappear. So my skills haven't grown and the new abilities i gained cannot be put to use since i do not have slots, i have maxed out my combat tree 242 points and full soldier profile rank 6 with highest weapon damage and combat power damage armor i could find. Now all i am doing is auto levelling cause points in biotics or tech have no use whatsoever.
Squad mates have become useless long while ago and only take Cora everywhere cause she can regenerate my HP with her shield boost, even drack struggles to kill a mook. So squad is selected by Cora and who ever can survive, Vetra is good for the second role, Jaal is just lying face first on the floor too many times to count.
Soon will hit the point where the 3 abilities wil have to be turbocharge, invasion and barricade as rest stop cutting it. While invasions 35% defense debuff and 15% enemy damage debuff becomes a requirement and Barricade is needed for survivability and more weapon damage.
In that regards i rate MEA even below fallout 4, they both suck at writing but gameplay freedom fallout 4 edges out MEA by a bit. Though same issues happened in Fall 4 i ran out stuff to put points in abilities that can even help me.

Why the hell does the game let you level up this high? ha I'm paraphrasing here, but it's basically because they want players to be able to experience everything, and as such will let you keep leveling up until you don't have anything left to dump points into. It's funny to me that because they decided to go with level scaling for enemy strength, staying as low a level as possible would make the game easier than powerleveling.

The game should've capped enemy leveling, at some point, just as squaddies are capped at Level 70. As discussed above, you cease to benefit from leveling past Level 80, when Tier X gear becomes accessible. I'll likely play with my ultra-high level character only until I've unlocked the relevant trophies. I'm thinking specifically of the "All Profiles to Tier 6" trophy. That means maxing 11 of 12 skills in each tree. You have to surpass Level 100 to achieve this. (Unless it can be cheated by retraining, and they don't have to be simultaneously Tier 6.... hmm.)
I'm over halfway through my NG+, and presently at Level 96. (I was only 93 when I mistakenly said 96, yesterday.) I'm already itching to play a fresh, Level 1 Scrub-Ryder, again. I've definitely passed the apex of Ryder's power, and have begun seeing the decline, as of today. Two architects felt even more of a grind than usual, and I'm having to headshot mooks multiple times with a Tier X Custom Isharay. I wonder how the end-game is going to feel, and how high my Character Level will be by then?

I got that one in my first run, only needs something like 232 points or whatever the level 6 profile cost is. But I don't think it works if you buy a respec and save with all available points and try to reload each time. I ended up shelling out the credits for the seven respecs.

MAx level is 132 and by then you will unlock everything, even though you cannot even use more than 3 abilities at a time. Most powers scale terribly and all it comes down to is turbocharge, invasion, cloak or barricade. Thats it as rest stop cutting it atleast this is what i am experiencing on hardcore atm. One ends up needing tech skills for life support and technical rounds as it becomes near mandatory.
They really should have locked levelling to level 80 which still allows different combinations since you cannot have it all.
