It really is all about kills. Last game I played with my Salarian Operator I was debuffing enemies left and right so they died faster and did less damage to everyone, soloed both fiends we faced and an ascendant, soloed the assassin targets because people were just running around killing mooks, revived my team multiple times, kept them alive with shield boost, got the most medals for support, assist, kills AND weak points...
And still ended 3k points behind the Asari Adept who just ran around hitting things.
Lol.

Stopped worrying about scour in ME3, some games I would hit 120k, others 60k....just whatever as long as....well like Volus says, show me the money,and of course have fun. As a side note it takes a lot to keep up with my Asari Adept, I have seen her score double second yet I didn't feel I was really doing anything different

At the very most, I use points as a check to make sure I'm contributing as a teammate. To address your specific issue, points are skew towards players who 1. Play biotic classes (and possibly other combo classes?), which benefit from their own assists 2. Players who deal damage to armor or health (I don't believe you get any points for stripping shields for barrier...wait, do barriers even exist for MEA enemies?) 3. Players who revive and complete objectives. So the scoring system is definitely skewed (more toward points 1 and 2 above), but the real goal in MEA is to get a full extraction and (more importantly) to have fun. |

Yah, tell me about it. No scoreboard love for the support classes. My kid got me into PVZ (I am not ashamed) and they did a better job by that.

Everyone gets the same experience gain and credits. The points are there just so all the pugs can see that I carried them and I'm the #goat
I love when a player has 8K points at the end of a game and 4 thousand of them were from the objective rounds that I carried... so in really 4k points...
Its like wtf did you do the whole game? Kill one raider and one dog each round?

Asari Adept contributes and gets alot of assists because of annihilation.
Was the same for any combo heavy class in ME3.
Also certain objectives like devices may lower your score simply because everyone is usually off killing things rather than doing the objective.
Honestly, though I wouldn't worry about it unless you are consistently on the bottom of the scoreboards, then you may want to reconsider what you are doing. Or people are getting double, triple or more than you.

Here's my philosophy. Some games I've got 28k, some games I've only got 14k, but as long as I'm doing my best and contributing to the match, my score doesn't matter at all as long as I'm at the top of the board.
