MP mess is a good thing advanced mining tools disabled.

Some of you will passionately disagree, that is the wrong reaction. The success of ME3MP put EA and Bio in a position where they understood players could be mined for micro transactions, in much the same way you'd mine Iridium for a 10% tech damage upgrade on the SR2.

With the current MP being a shambles EA and Bio are no longer flying planet to planet consuming its resources and moving on with relative ease.

With the multiplayer a repetitive bug riddled mess that crashes more often than it works, advanced planet scanning has been disabled.

Now they have land on each planet and and go for a road trip in the Nomad. Establish a forward station and then drive in circles till they hit something.

And thats no fun for anyone. Especially not EA who's end goal was to create a new ME, sell it and then continue to sell it via MP.

As players abandon the MP and SP alike in droves the corporate heads may be worried.

Theyve seen this before at Ubisoft. The AC franchise bottomed out before the series concluded and the MP fell to new players who didn't stay or buy DLC as the dedicated fanbase left for greener pastures.

It just wasn't fun anymore, I remember heart broken vets washing their hands in disgust.

MP DLC sales on AC revelations plummeted and didn't get better with AC3.

What it took to bring the franchise back was effort, time and MONEY in the form of ACBF.

So far as I'm aware the MP never made it back to its glory days during AC Brotherhood.

This would all be a concern. They can handle a game with lost potential entertainment value. What they won't stand for is a loss of potential revenue from a previously profitable source.

They are likely to take a stick to BioWare over this and threaten to beat them with it.

I doubt this game was what EA had expected. So what does that mean? Hopefully it means a budget bigger than $40m. Hopefully it means setting a reasonable schedule that Bio have to abide by.

Giving someone $40m and 5 years appears have resulted in some dicking around for a bit.

That will end and with any luck the next game will bring with it the standards we've come to expect from BioWare.
