There's no denythong that they're blatantly OP, but what makes them so bad? I can't decide if it's the 2 sync kill enemies with teleport abilities... OR The massive spam of Destined. It used to be the broken sync kills that got me every time, but now that I dodge them more I realize it's the destined that make it so hard. I'm pretty sure there are more destined than chosen on gold. There are DEFINITELY as many destined as there are raiders with the kett.
So the main "common" spam enemy has CLOAKING AND SHILEDS. If the destined had half the shield they do, or just no shield, they have a cloak after all which is more than Raiders get, Kett would be way more in line. If they removed the sync kills on top of that, kett would actually be playable.
Bioware says they're "looking hard at the numbers"... give me a break. You play 5 games against each faction, then play a game with each gun and you'll know exactly what to do.

In short, Kett is no more issue then "choose the right kit" issue and have decent teammates issue. You can get away with a bad kit vs Outlaws or Remnants more likely but not vs Kett. I'm usually playing with Infiltrators, Soldiers or with Barricade Sentinels and with the some heavy hitting guns and have zero problems playing vs kett. I'm not talking about Vanquisher because other guns are also certainly ok. just to be clear about that. With that i doesn't mean you have to always play a with a gun based setup and not with casters, just that I see too many people playing vs Kett with not really good kits - i mean with bad guns or with powers/power combos doing jack shit damage in general. In this state of the game with 90% of the guns being terrible and most of the powers being underwhelming you must know which gun/character is gonna cut it, and which doesn't. And don't be stubborn to use something else and realize if your character/power/gun combo is clearly not good enough.

I have to say that while the Anointed and Destined can be a pain in the butt at least they are a challenge and can be dealt with. Anointed are just Observers, if you get caught in the open or in a crossfire you are dead. Destined get annoying because they will not become visible no matter how much you damage them.
But I actually LIKE that the Kett is challenging, I enjoy it.
But the sync-kills oh lord the sync-kills. It just makes the game entirely unfair and frustrating. The Fiend is just broken. He will teleport and grab you in an instant. If they fix the sync-kills either to allow you to be revived after OR give you a window to dodge out of a sync-kill OR just make them telegraph their attacks better and not teleport next to you and instantly begin the sync-kill then the Kett could be my favourite faction to play against.

Pros:
The ketts' heads explode if you headshot them.
Anointed are really fun to Backlash against.
Ascendants are also fun to Backlash against and redirect that giant fire orb back to him or to nearby mooks(hard to pull it off but satisfying when done so).
Cons:
Blink-Fiends are the cancer that is killing fun.
Ascendants kinda-sorta do it too, but at least they are noisy when they do it.
Destined can step on tons of lego pieces, all day every day, till the end of time. *stupid infinite stealth grumble grumble*

The fiend is clearly broken (I mean mechanically something is going wrong there). They fix him theyre fine. I enjoy fighting em these days bc I will vomit if I play outlaw again and remnant observers make me nerd rage.

People talk about the sync killers all the time.. but in my experience, those aren't the Kett's biggest strength. The best thing they have going for them in my opinion is team speed. Overall they are the fastest faction.. the one that can reinforce their position in the shortest amount of time. This is most evident on Hacks and Uploads.. where you mow down 8-10 enemies, and they're all back in 10-15 seconds. Add to this that they get three dogs at a time, where the Outlaws only get two.. and because of the Destined, they can reinforce/advance unbeknownst to the team. The only slow unit is the Ascendant.

Those dudes with the machine guns is what do it for me. Once in sight of two of them, you better not be caught in an open area trying to escape. They sneak up on you without a sound too. Like right next to you for some reason.

Like right next to you for some reason. I got clips of anointeds walking right past me, and also clips of them sniping me across the map with their soneds. The A.I is weird in this game. The thing that needs fixing tho is the fiend and the damn wraiths jumping all in you then getting stuck inside you not being able to move.

Or just garbage teammates in general. Period. I'm actually surprised how many chose option 3. I wish I played with more of you people who voted option 3 rather than garbage teammates. Option 1 is usually the first thing that comes into my mind when I think of the issues with Kett, but now that you guys bring up option 2, I'm kinda leaning towards that now, honestly. It seems like Destined are so abundant, that they're pretty much a standard enemy (with shields and cloaking and are just major bullet sponges) in gold. Also, precautions can be taken with regards to option 1. I usually stay like at least 15 metres away from any fiend or ascendant I see. The feeling when you get sucked in to the sync kill is just indescribable. I also totally agree with the other user who mentioned the Kett's speed. Sorry I'm bad with usernames, I'm still pretty new here.

I like the way the faction plays without fiends on the battlefield, they are tough, but with good cover and movement they aren't a big deal. But fiends show up and require such a ridiculous margin of caution because of their buggy movement that you just can't move into proper positions any more.

Bioware says they're "looking hard at the numbers"... give me a break. You play 5 games against each faction, then play a game with each gun and you'll know exactly what to do. There I fixed your post including the Shakespearean level of drama. The kett are fun. If you played them 1/10th as much as you played Outlaws on Firebase Zero you would know how to play against them better and you would figure out that the Kits/Weapons/Tactics that work against Outlaws on Firebase Zero don't work against Kett on any map. The Synch-kills combined with how Fiends appear to be viewed from Car Rearview mirrors is the only major problem. The rest can be handled with fine-tuning.

fiend syncs (and to a lesser degree the ascendant) kill a bit of the fun for me. Fiend needs removed until they can fix it and the ascendant should not be able to sync you from the roof of the building you are in (i.e. no LOS). Otherwise, kett are as easy as any other faction if you know their tactics.
