Does the Ruzad have an innate melee bonus?

If it does (and I believe that it does) it doesn't justify the downgrade in weapon performance you will have when you actually need your gun.

Use the Talon, best shotgun, can have melee optimizer and fast reload. 

Krogans suck at melee, play an asari. 

I'd say Piranha, better RoF

I would say Hesh or Scattershot. Easier to get to X than the Piranha, and a lot quicker ROF, and more shots than the Talon...

So.. 5% melee bonus with a trash tier weapon is better than not having a 5% melee increase and the weapon performance of a Piranha? I can't disagree enough. 5% is f'n nothing in comparison to like, 300-400% better weapon performance. Are you going to melee the sync killers? The flying units? You need a gun.. unless you exclusively play against Outlaws, then you can get away with it.

Quit being stupid Penguin. How many MELEES ONLY does it take to kill an Ascendant or Fiend? Hell.. how many MELEES ONLY does it take to put down an Ascendant's Orb? How many MELEES ONLY do you need to kill an Observer 10 meters above your head, or a Destroyer's Turrets you can't reach? You can't MELEE ONLY unless you're farming Outlaws. You need your gun at some point.. unless you are expecting your team to handle all these units.. which would make you a shitty teammate.

There aren't any melee only builds, you can't melee observers, and have fun meleeing ascendants before the orb is popped.

Not firing your gun is gimp, and firing the Ruzad slows you down for those super long reloads.
