Stuff like this happens. I cannot finish Peebee's loyalty mission because every time I start talking to the NPC I start getting shot by something and get killed during the dialogue. This is the room before I start talking, and no matter how long I stand here, nothing comes out.  Then as soon as I start the dialogue, I start getting shot and die. I can still finish the conversation while laying on the floor, and then my shields even have the nerve to recharge after the dialogue ends, and the quest updates to the next world. But obviously, I cannot complete the quest.   The bugs and tech issues on this game are ridiculous. I'm trying my best to hang in there and finish at least one playthrough, but it just gets harder every time this stuff happens. |

Odd. There was an instance on Eos when I was in dialogue over the comm at some encampment, and I was surrounded by 3 of those remnant crawlers, but they just shuffled around me and didn't start attacking until the dialogue was over.

Odd. There was an instance on Eos when I was in dialogue over the comm at some encampment, and I was surrounded by 3 of those remnant crawlers, but they just shuffled around me and didn't start attacking until the dialogue was over. Polite of them.  But nope this has not happened to me either. |

Or loading a slightly-older save? If I had to guess, there's an enemy stuck in the floor. I can usually see them and kill them with my Black Widow and mod that allows you to see enemies through walls and stuff. I don't have any different fixes for you, though. |

Oddly, that one instance of the game was the cause of great aggravation for me. Once I used the terminal to get in touch with the outpost, and the dialog begins, those remnant crawlers would start attacking. Being stuck in the dialog I couldn't do anything but die. Twice. It took three tries to do it by finally jumping on a crate, then doing the dialog. Pesky little bastards... On the other hand, PeeBee's loyalty mission went well. Fortunately nothing like that happened to me. |
