I finally got the Crusader yesterday and have been looking forward to it. So, I tried it. Not bad, really, but it seems to me to be less effective than its ME3MP counterpart in that it doesn't seem to have the range of the ME3MP gun. With that one, you could headshot mooks at seriously long range in gold. This one, doesn't seem to hit at the same type of ranges. Close up, this one is pretty good. I usually use Prianha IV on gold with Agara Avenger. An Avenger Strike on a Raider and two shots from the Piranha take one down. Same thing with the Crusader, but having 4 less in the magazine gives the Piranha a big edge at this point. Does anyone have the Crusader at a higher level and can give an idea of how it performs in gold? I'm particularly interested in it's long range capabilities.

I have a Crusader V. I think it sucks.
Barrel X it does 540dmg with RoF being 80. Its consistency seems to drop like a rock past close-medium range (just outside of hurricane range?). On anything worst than decent host/lag wise, GL getting any kind of consistency out of it at ranged. Yet, four in the clip and clumsy reload makes it very unforgiving. Up close, there are much better shotguns (Talon). It also doesn't seem to stagger as much as the other options out there.
Ranged/Niche, I rather use my Scattershot X. 177 less damage, but nearly double the RoF, "double" the "clip size", no reload, and much more consistent.

And MEA Crusader doesn't have innate cover piercing and lacks the pinpoint accuracy ME3 Crusader had. At least we got rid of the delay...

So it's more like the pre-buff ME3MP Crusader, back when that one sucked... A lot of weapons seem similar to just-released ME3 (lack of) damage stats. If they would just balance more around the Vanquisher and not the Mattock or something...

They did stuff like this to many of the guns that have made a return like valkyrie, paw if you consider it the particle rifle successor, most shotguns just deal such low damage if you compare them to their me3 counterparts. But they kept sniper damage overall about the same or made it higher. Black widow got a damage buff, vanquisher is like the me3 BW basically but 4 shots and a higher fire rate. I just don't understand why they did this when I thought the power balance between snipers and other weapons was pretty decent in me3.

PAW wouldn't be so bad if they kept the "spin up" aspect of the PPR. As it is now, it's the PPR before the beam intensified... except for the whole clip. Also with a smaller clip. And recoil (????)

Basically the Ai "improvement" to the Crusader was getting a shady Volus to produce them at a discount with cheap counterfeit parts.

Crusader IX reporting in, still trash. Wow, now THAT's disappointing! ME3MP Crusader X was a god gun on the TGI boosted for shotty damage.
