Way worse. Mass Effect in this state is like eating your favourite food straight from the trashcan.

I'm indifferent to their "We're listening" motto. They had five years to listen to what everyone said in ME3MP, and we only got this.
The next balance changes and the first DLC will make me decide if I want to invest more time into this game. I have "fun", but can't see myself as devoted as I was during ME3MP.

Done with them. Unless they really make this game great in the next few months, I don't think I'll buy their next title.

For me it's much worse. Like I bought Rolex watches from a certified store and it turned out to be a Chinese fake. Then I learned the original owners sold the company years ago and the new owners chased away all the master craftsmen and now they're only producing cheap knock-offs.

That can't be fixed.

I don't know if it's possible to have a lower impression of them than I did after DAIMP.

I knew exactly where it was headed when I heard some of the same team had moved to Andromeda. I wasn't wrong.

What you don't want to play a destiny clone?

Ever since they got in bed with EA.. they haven't been the same. They are a shell of their former selves.. and it pains me to say that.

I don't think BW is sitting cackling evilly as they expect customers to play through this clusterfuck of 'almost got it right' and 'wow, that was well intended and completely shit executed'.

By the same token this is very clearly not a passion project nor is it a franchise turn around, as was marketed.

I am good friends with several people in this company, I know for a fact they're not sitting around plotting to incite rage over their work. By the same token, it is in fact work, not 'this is the most amazing thing I've ever done'. It is work in a 100% insulated and hyper hugbox environment, and that eventually leads to mediocrity, no matter whom you are, nor how on your game you think you may be without context to steer with.

The fact they shitcanned a Persona/Hellraiser style long-game rpg-action game for "DestinyFrame with the Bants" is telling on where this company is heading, and it's not in a direction I care to purchase from anymore.

That MEA includes as tentpoles several parts of the ME zeitgeist that no one asked for again is also telling, and it makes continued investment in the franchise very difficult, and hearing rote marketese every week is not encouraging.
